Debbie kindly collected her to make it easier for Aluna (so she wasn't distressed when I left her) and took her for a short walk to settle her down before playing with her at her home. Thanks Debbie.”

About: My names is Will and I've taken care of dogs in some capacity since I was 9. I grew up with spaniels in Somerset. One of these Spaniels was deaf so I gained a lot of experience in non-verbal signalling and care for deaf pups. Aside of my own animals, I have plenty of experience, in a both voluntary and paid capacity of caring for dogs. Walking is a big part of my daily routine and would love to be able to have your dog along for the walk also. I'm flexible with times of day and evenings/nights. I currently have my own pup named Rosie (spaniel cross) but she only lives with me part time. She would not be present on house sitting but she loves all dogs. TRAINING - I have experience training in a non-professional capacity so more than happy to adopt your training practices and maintain those in your absence. I can do stay in day and or overnight visits throughout the week. Monday - Sunday Additionally, I can do drop in visits. Throughout the day/evening. At the weekend, I am generally flexible outside of pre-planned holidays with friends or family. In the owners home, I will follow the instruction of the owner in regard to access to the garden and parts of the house. Eg, The dog is/isn't allowed upstairs. The same approach is taken to walking and on and off of the lead. TRAINING -I'm very happy to assist with any training you may have on the go and maintain any technique you may be working on. I love a challenge!

“Isobel house sit and took care of our two indoor cats for the weekend. Isobel was fantastic and was very happy to meet our wishes (ie meal times, playtime, etc). Isobel also kept us in touch as requested and sent us photos. The cats really took a liking to her and I would be happy to use her service again and again! Isobel also left our home tidy and clean which was a nice added benefit. Highly recommend Isobel and will be rebooking her soon. Thank you Isobel 🤗”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Bristol
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.
About: Hi! I’m an experienced and caring dog lover with over six years of hands-on experience looking after pups of all ages—from playful two-month-old puppies to sweet senior dogs over ten. I’ve cared for many breeds, both big and small, including Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Westies, Bichons, Fox Terriers, and Shibas. Each dog has their own personality, and I always take time to understand their needs, routines, and quirks. I believe walks should be fun and engaging, not just the same old route every day. That’s why, whenever I have time, I love taking dogs on mini adventures—hiking in Red Deer Park, exploring Snuff Mills, playing in the river, or spotting deer and flowers in Clifton. Their happiness is my biggest reward, and I love seeing them explore the world with joy and curiosity. I’m incredibly patient, calm, and gentle, and I treat every dog like my own. I currently live in a spacious, pet-friendly 1b1b apartment with plenty of room for dogs to relax, even larger breeds. Whether your pup loves cuddles, quiet time, or outdoor fun, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. I'm currently a PhD student, but I work from home most of the time, so my schedule is quite flexible. That means I can spend plenty of time with your pets throughout the day I live in a pet-friendly 1b1b apartment that’s clean, spacious, and comfortable—even for large dogs. It’s a quiet environment, which is great for pets who are sensitive or prefer calm spaces. I keep the floors clean and disinfect regularly. If I’m hosting a cat, there’s a 2.2-meter-tall cat tree at home that’s always a favorite. I follow each pet’s usual feeding habits and routines carefully, so they can feel safe, relaxed, and loved during their stay.
“Lyra enjoyed her stay with Laura. We were a bit late picking her up and Laura was very accommodating. Was happy to do a meet and greet beforehand so we knew lyra was going with someone who will look after her well.”

“Isabel and Arthur were fantastic with Reggie. The communication was great and they sent some really lovely photographs. When we collected Reggie, he was very happy. We will definitely use them again.”

“Charlotte has been repeatedly sitting for both of my dogs. She is particularly fantastic with Major while caring for him in our home - she has a natural warmth and genuine love for dogs. Major was relaxed, happy, and thoroughly spoilt with attention. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was safe, loved, and in such capable hands – I can’t recommend her highly enough!”

About: As well as having had my own beloved cavalier, I worked as a dog groomer for five years, and have also worked as a pet portrait artist and a dog walker (and even a gap year in a pet shop). I have had years of experience with a wide range of dog breeds (from puppies to seniors) and understand behaviours very well. I am very caring, calm, sensitive to every dog’s wants and needs, and will provide a home away from home for your beloved pet. I’m currently working from home five days a week. I can take regular breaks to let your dog into the garden or for a walk in the park at the end of the road. I live in a house with a secure patio, and additionally am very close to Victoria Park. The dog can sleep in a crate in the lounge, or loose, or in my bedroom - whatever they are used to. My partner, James, and pup, Zennor, are also here to provide extra love and cuddles!
“Daniel was absolutely amazing with my poorly puppy who had very high needs, he catered to all of them with great care and attention! Would definitely recommend him to any dog owners 🐶”

“Alessia was so good with Waldo, we met briefly the day before and he felt instantly happy in her company and ran to greet her when we dropped him offf. Great communication throughout the day and we would definitely book again! Thank you”

I’ve learnt how to train dogs from puppy’s to an elderly aged dog who just needs some help with their age. I’ve had cats throughout my life and love their quirky personality’s, I understand how some cats want their own space and how some want some gentle company! Ultimately I love dogs and cats so much and do anything I can to help them out and treat them like they deserve, I treat all animals as if they are my own! I’m Fully available on Tuesdays to care for your pet, but on the other week days I finish my main job at 5pm so I would only be free in the evenings 5:30-10pm. About: I’ve been looking after dogs ever since I was a child with our family’s Pomeranian. I now have my own cat. It’s been my absolute honor to look after so many cats friends through Cat in a Flat

About: I’ve been taking care of cats and dogs since I was 15 years old, as my family have always had pets. Nowadays I frequently help my family friends and neighbours if they have to go away for some time. In the past I have taken care of my dog, who had allergies all the time, he needed medication and other stuff, I also have experience in training, so would not mind to help you out with training your pet. Otherwise I would just love to meet new people and pets, and help take care of other’s little furry friends.☺️ I am a uni student, therefore I have plenty of free time between lectures and in the evenings, therefore, would gladly spend that time with someone’s pet friend ☺️ I am a very calm person and would never do anything to scare or trigger your pet, if the owner has a cage and there are instances where the pet has to go into a cage ( those times have to be listed by the owner) I can easily cage the pet. If walking the dog, it will always be on the leash, unless we are in the area, such as doggy park, allowing to unleash the animal. Doing this job, my main priority will always be my and the pets safety.

About: I’ve been caring for my own small dog for almost seven years, which has taught me how important patience, consistency and attention to detail are. In addition, friends have trusted me to look after their pets while they were away, giving me experience with different personalities and routines. I understand that every animal has unique needs, and I always take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable and cared for. I’m reliable, organised and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own, following your instructions carefully and providing plenty of attention, affection and regular updates! I’m flexible and happy to work around your pet’s usual routine whenever possible. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, indoor play, cuddles or simply a quiet companion, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. I’ll always follow your preferred schedule to help your pet feel comfortable and settled while you’re away ☺️ Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I carefully follow every owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medication (if needed), exercise and daily routines. I understand that every pet is different, so I always adapt to their individual needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind

About: I’ve always loved dogs and all other animals. I have experience taking care of my partner’s family dogs for the past 3 and a half years. One of them was a senior jack russell terrier who was 17 years old, and recently a 10 week old bull terrier puppy. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s by Research degree at the University of Bristol. Because it is not a taught program, my schedule is very flexible and I am able to commit to almost any time in terms of availability. We can always work out what is best for you and your cats as aside from a meeting on Friday afternoons, I will be available anytime to meet your needs. I will try my best to abide by the things you have in your home. Unfortunately, I do not currently have a litter box or any cat-related things in my flat in Bristol so it would be difficult for me to have your cat over unless you are willing to bring over some of your things. In terms of your own home, I will do my best to be respectful and clean up after myself and the cats as much as possible. We can work out how you want things to be done and what you are most comfortable with ❤️ I have just recently taken care of a cat in an airbnb while visiting Dublin and it was a really smooth experience due to great communication from the cat’s owner.
“Rafaela took my poodle Otis for near daily walks during a particularly busy fortnight. She was punctual and communicated well. Otis had a good walk and was always happy and tired on his return. She took lovely photos during their walks which was great to see. Would recommend. Many thanks!”

“Josh is great, he’s totally reliable, and loving towards our golden doodle. From the daily photos Josh sent us from the walks we can see that our dog loved them. I can recommend Josh highly.”

About: I’ve always been around dogs and genuinely love spending time with them. I’m a reliable, patient and caring person who treats every dog as if they were my own. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll or a more energetic walk, I tailor each walk to suit your dog’s needs, personality and routine. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I’m punctual, attentive, and make sure every dog feels safe, happy and well looked after. I am also the proud owner of a Shiba Inu called Suki (you can see her posing in my pictures). I will treat your dog with the same love and care as Suki 🐕 I work full time but am able to fit walks into my lunch break & in the evenings after 4:30pm to 8pm. I am flexible. N/A - I don’t offer dog sitting services only walking. This is so I can keep active and also help those who may not be able to walk their dogs as often as they’d like.
“Amber is great - I would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker. As an anxious dog he has various things that make him nervous and we do training to work with him on this. We did a meet and greet beforehand where she took care to learn about my dog’s personality and training routine. While I’m stuck at work, it’s lovely to see the photos of Bobby having fun on his walk 🐶”

“Belem took the time to come and meet our dog and get to know us before our family holiday. She took our young cavapoo for 11 walks in total while we were away and they bonded brilliantly. My parents really appreciated the help. Whilst away we received some regular updates and pictures which was great as she is our first dog and we all missed her. Highly recommended 😄”

About: Happily will meet you in advance to get to know you and your dog to make sure you’re comfortable for me to look after them. I've been around animals (both dog and cats) my whole life and my parent currently has a 5 year old border collie. I mentally stimulate our dog by playing with him, using his brain with the classic “find it” game, whilst physically stimulating through walks (runs for him) and lots of stick throwing! We had 2 dogs growing up that sadly passed away, one of which was a rescue dog and so I understand how you may need to act differently to make the dog feel comfortable. Ive also got experience with reactive dogs. I understand that there may be triggers so we’d discuss in advance what those triggers may be to ensure any reactions are properly managed for safety of your pet plus anyone or anything nearby. I’ve looked after many dogs ad-hoc including Manchester terriers, beagles and Schnoodles. For these occasions, I’ve stayed at the owners house and kept the house respectable. All of which felt easy in comparison to looking after a border collie! By the end of the day, the dogs are often asleep on my lap (or I sit on the floor with them if the owner doesn’t want their pet to be on furniture!), fed and happy. I’m available often on weekends and I work half days on Friday so I can come in the afternoon from 1pm. Within the week, I work 2 days in the city centre, and 3 days in Filton but have a car for easy mobility. I can go in lunch breaks or after work. My availability is open on weekends but please message as I may be more flexible than my booking availability suggests in the week. If the pet is a bit shy, I would be more cautious and go down to their level to try to bond with it. I speak to the owner to understand do’s and dont’s. And I’d use treats when best placed to celebrate positive experiences and train the dog to have good connotations with certain actions or moments. The main thing about looking after someone’s pet is that you don’t want to confuse the animal. So I would take it on walks when the owner recommends and use the lead in environments that require it (e.g. roads, if they struggle around other dogs).

About: Growing up on a farm, I was surrounded by animals from an early age. Two of the dogs I grew up with were sisters, one of whom was deaf, which taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and adapting to each dog’s individual needs. In 2026, I spent a month volunteering at a dog shelter in rural Croatia, caring for over 100 rescue dogs alongside a fantastic team. My responsibilities included walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, administering medication, preparing and serving meals, and ensuring their kennels were clean, warm, safe, and comfortable. It was an incredibly rewarding experience that strengthened my confidence in caring for dogs with different personalities, backgrounds, and care requirements. Alongside this, I’ve spent years looking after the pets of family and friends. Whether they’ve been away on holiday, working late, or travelling for business, I’ve been someone they trust to care for their dogs and cats. From walks and feeding to bathing, playtime, and plenty of affection, I always make it my priority to ensure every pet feels happy, relaxed, loved, and safe while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to get to know their routines, personalities, and individual needs. My goal is always to provide the same level of care, attention, and reassurance that I’d want for my own animals. I’m currently working in the TV industry as a freelancer, which is famous for having gaps where I am completely free in between jobs. Inbetween these jobs, and on the weekends I’d be available! I am very patient and an active woman who plays lots of sports (e.g Rugby and Football) and goes to the gym regularly so long walks are my favourite!
About: My family had cats growing up and I regularly look after people's dogs! I love taking dogs out for walks, I love being outside and always think having a dog gives the walks more purpose! I am responsible and will make sure they are well looked after. I will give your pets lots of love and attention. Since being on Rover I have walked dogs and looked after cats, dropping in for visits. I really miss having a cat and would love the opportunity for more cat time and cuddles! I have recently moved back to the UK after living in Vancouver for 3 years. I moved to Bristol a couple of weeks ago and am keen to meet some new dogs and cats! I have completed 6 trusted housesitter visits which I absolutely loved. Whilst I am in between jobs I have plenty of time to care for pets and go for dog walks! I always ensure there is fresh water, stick to the food schedule outlined by the owner but give treats to the pets as a reward. I am responsible so if necessary can give medicine to the pets. I always give them lots of attention! They are an easy distraction for me.
About: Since I was child I loved being around dogs, as I have grown older, I cherish my time with them, they remind me to be present and in the moment. I just love how each dog has its own unique personality. I occasionally take care of my family dog, a Cavachon called Bertie. He has mobility issues and must wear a splint, so I place this on him very carefully, reassuring him the whole time. He trusts me and knows it is the routine for when we go outside. I am always vigilant of where he is walking and keep him away from anything that may cause harm. Thinking ahead, sort of like a risk assessment to keep him safe always. I am currently in-between jobs so I have more free time. Weekdays and weekends are all available! I tend to have more availability in the weekday. I make sure that dogs feel safe and calm, always letting them feel comfortable and relaxed. Safety is paramount and if there is ever any feeling or sign of threat, I would immediately remove the dog and myself from the situation for e.g. taking a different route if a there is potential threat ahead. I always make sure I treat dogs with care and reassurance, building trust so they feel at ease. I enjoy going for walks and being outside in nature, so I love to see what perks up the curiosity of a dog's exploration side. Often cheering them on for their little finds, while making sure they stay out of harm. I ensure they have plenty of space to move around and keep them fed on time, with water always on hand.

“Josh took such good care of Lenny! He gave him such a fun day out he's come home very tired and happy. He is clearly very experienced with dogs and put Lenny at ease from the start. We also got great updates of his day. Would certainly recommend and I'm sure Lenny will be back 😊”

“Leanne was amazing! She got us booked in on short notice, her communication was great and she was really helpful throughout. I can tell that Spudley had a lovely time and felt really comfortable with her and her partner. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Biscuit seemed very happy with Lucy. Lucy was very quick and friendly at communicating and I felt confident that Lucy was taking good care of Bisc Her flat is a nice environment. It does have a lot of stairs in case that's a concern for your pup, but that's no problem for Biscuit.”

“Dougal had a fabulous weekend with Gabby and Ash. They were extra careful with him in the hot weather and kept us updated with photos and updates so we felt really confident that he was safe, looked after and having a good time!”

“Great sitters. From initial contact they were very responsive, gave regular updates and were incredibly flexible and accommodating with timings and even extending overnight stay. Will definitely use again.”

“Anna was great with Teddy. Provided regular updates and pictures of his adventures. Teddy seemed very fond of Anna and her partner and came back a very happy pooch. Thank you 😊”

“Megan was fantastic looking after our two cocker spaniels. They had a really lovely time and Megan sent us photos and updates which were great to receive. One of our spaniels takes a little while to trust people but you could tell that he settled in nicely. We will be using Megan's dogsitting again soon and would definitely reccomend her.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life and understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine. I'm happy to work with you to provide the best care possible for your fur baby whilst you are away. I love going on walks or runs, but am equally happy providing calm, patient companionship for senior pets or those who prefer a slower pace. I own my own home, so I am happy for pets to roam freely indoors and in the enclosed garden. St. Anne's Park, Nightingale Valley, and Conham River Park are on my doorstep, so it's easy to step out for some fresh air. I am currently job-hunting, which means I am home-based during the weekdays and have good availability throughout the summer. Happy to fit in with your schedule. I have a secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely spend time outside. I am also within a one-minute walk of St. Anne's Park, making it easy to take dogs out for longer walks as needed.
“Nick and Hannah were great. My dog is a sensitive soul and they were so kind, understanding and caring towards her. She returned home happy and content. What more could you ask? Wouldn’t hesitate to book them again”

“Isabel and Arthur (Partner!) were very nice with Arthur. Isabel sent daily updates and kept Arthur busy, they even took him to the beach which Arthur loves. He returned home happy and tired from his long weekend! Thank you Isabel and Arthur!”

“Mac loved his stay here, with Kylie, her lovely family, and their dog Remus. He ran in when we arrived, and Kylie updated me throughout with photos of the two dogs loving playing together! Perfect!”

“Mathilde was such a great host for our dog, Arlo. She kept a very energetic dog happy, healthy and with the help of her dog Nala, extremely entertained. We received loads of updates and great videos that really reassured us and made us laugh. We'd recommend Mathidle to anyone, and she always seemed in control and able to handle anything.”
