“Charlotte did a brilliant job of looking after our GSD. She was really responsive, asked for information about any personality or behavioral quirks he has, and sent photos and updates throughout the weekend. She also left our house as tidy as when we left. Highly recommend!”

“Julia was amazing with my little dog Pops. He is quite an anxious little guy but he got on with Julia straight away and she put a lot of time into making sure he was settled. She was also amazing at giving me updates on how he was doing and sent photos frequently which was very much appreciated. I really hope Julia is available next time I am away as she really was excellent”

“Isobel was great with Buddy, our Border Terrier. Isobel sent us regular photos and updates. Great communication, arrived on time and also took Buddy for a walk. We hope to see you again soon :)”

“Amanda is fabulous! She was available at short notice and took the time to come and do a meet and greet. Our GSP River is really high energy and Amanda handled him brilliantly, playing with him for hours!! Highly recommend.”

“Olivia was great with our lab x visz boy. She was also punctual, communicative and took the time to come and meet him beforehand. She was confident in taking him for a walk during her house sit which is a first from a river sitter for us. We’re super with Olivia”

“Kerry and Matt are fab dogsitters - they sent loads of updates, managed our fussy dogs in the torrential rain and we came back to happy and settled pups 😊 would fully recommend!”

About: To get into veterinary school in the UK as much work experience as possible is required. My experience is listed below: Matlock Farm Park May 2024- July 2024 • I looked after many animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, sheep, cows, goats, ferrets etc • My main tasks included showcasing events for customers, caring for the animals, preparing food for animals and accommodating for any dietary requirements, providing water, cleaning pens and interacting with customers. • I am comfortable handling all animals. • I was required to manage my time effectively, so all my tasks were completed. • I memorised the layout of the farm to direct and help visitors when they need it. Thornberry animal sanctuary February 2024- July 2024 • I volunteered at the animal sanctuary, working with mostly cats, dogs and rabbits. • My tasks included cleaning animal pens, walking dogs, spending time with the animals, socialising timid animals, feeding the animals and general upkeep of the sanctuary. • I sometimes shadowed the veterinarian on site and view the work they do. • I was required to perform adequate time management as I could go whenever is suitable for me and help wherever I was needed Netherlands Boarding and Rescue Kennels - Rotherham February 2021 to July 2024 • I walked dogs from a rescue shelter • Was initially part of my bronze Duke of Edinburgh award but l occasionally work for them now as and when they need assistance. • Requires a high level of maturity and the ability to manage dogs of all sizes and behaviours. Rotherham June 2022 - July 2024 • Pet sitting for family, friends, and residents. • I walked the pets, fed them, and most importantly maintained the pet's routine. • I stayed at the owner's home for anywhere between a few hours and a few days, caring for their animal. • This requires maturity and communication skills to ensure the owner of the animal is comfortable with leaving them in my care. I am currently studying at the university of bristol, so will mostly be available to care for your pet at weekends. This includes overnight care. Weekday/ weekday evening work is subject to availability, as my timetable changes every week, so please get in touch at least a week before to check if I am available. I try to keep the animals routine the same. This includes regular feeding times, walking times and bedtimes if applicable. I am comfortable handling any animal of any size. I also understand the importance of catering to animals dietary requirements and will adhere to any specifications. I am also comfortable with animals of any age, and will adjust my care to their needs (e.g. shorter walks for an older dog and longer ones for a puppy).
About: Being a pet owner myself, I am well versed in day to day pet care, maintaining routine and cleanliness requirements and general care plans. Myself and my partner have 4 British shorthair cats and we have two family dogs, so varied routines and care of a range of animals across a range of ages is familiar territory. Currently working between contract and freelance positions, I am fully able to fit all types of schedules around my working pattern, often at short notice. Having multiple pets ourselves, I am well versed in safety and cleanliness in the home. One of our cats had additional medical needs, so maintaining a clean and healthy environment is essential and something I do as a matter of course for all animals in my care.
“Catherine has been a fantastic dog sitter for us whilst we’ve been on holiday- she has been so accommodating and understanding, really responsive and sent lots of great photos of our dog Bonnie. When you’re away it’s important to feel like your dog is in safe hands and that’s how we’ve felt the whole time with Catherine!”

“It’s been lovely to meet Kev and to have her look after my home and Lola. Kev is kind, capable, trustworthy and really loves dogs. They’ve had a great time together in the house and on walks, and Kev kept me updated with photos. Kev also took good care of my home. Highly recommended!”

“Sarah is a lovely dog sitter and our two really took to her immediately on first meeting, going straight in for snuggles. I always trust the doggos instincts! Sarah is as on time for booking, made contact beforehand to confirm and sent an update during the dog sit! Hopefully Sarah will be up for looking after our two lots over the coming months!”

“Fantastic experience with Jay. Bertie clearly adored him and everything went very smoothly from initial booking through to house sitting. It’s so good to be away and know that your dog is in safe hands. Thanks Jay and we will definitely be rebooking very soon.”

“Amber was amazing with Summer, who can be a little nervous around new people. Amber put her at ease and was really communicative with me throughout her stay with Summer. Will definitely book with Amber again, thank you for making me feel so relaxed leaving Summer with you!”

“Another brilliant sit from Eloise who our dog Daisy has been pining for since she left! Eloise sat Daisy for our 4 day and 3 night trip to Paris, which we had been nervous about seeing as it was the first time we’d left the country since getting Daisy and the longest time we’ve been away. From the moment Eloise walked through the door however our minds were immediately put at ease. Daisy was so happy to see Eloise I’m not sure she noticed us leave, and clearly had a lovely weekend of walks and snuggles on the sofa. Eloise was super communicative throughout the sit, asking advice about how to make Daisy feel better when a firework spooked her, and even kindly making sure she continued with the training we’d been doing with Daisy on her walks. Thanks so much again for everything Eloise and Daisy can’t wait for her next sit with you! Xxx”

About: I can be flexible with times and rates, so please enquire if I seem like the right fit. :-) What really sets me apart is that caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, not just something I do occasionally. I’ve grown up with pets of all kinds, from cats and dogs to smaller animals like birds and hamsters, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, routines, and needs. I also regularly look after friends’ pets, which means I’m used to stepping into someone else’s routine and making sure their pets feel safe, settled, and loved. I’m a big fan of the outdoors and long walks, so dogs in my care get plenty of attention, exercise, and sniff time, not just a quick walk around the block. Most importantly, I’m reliable, conscientious, and deeply caring. I treat every pet as if they were my own, keeping a close eye on the little details and always making sure they’re happy, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. I work part-time with flexibility during the week and at weekends. Happy to discuss your needs to see if our schedules align and work out what is best for your pet/s. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, my priority is to keep everything as familiar, calm, and safe as possible. I know how important routine and environment are for animals, so I take great care to follow your instructions closely, from feeding times and walks to play, medication, and quiet time. Staying in their own home helps pets feel secure, and I aim to maintain that sense of normality while you’re away. Trust is incredibly important to me. I’m reliable, respectful, and conscientious when looking after someone else’s home, and I treat it with the same care I would my own. I make sure doors, windows, and gates are secure, keep the home tidy, and ensure pets are always safe and supervised. I’m also very observant, so I quickly notice any changes in behaviour or routine and will communicate openly with you if anything seems out of the ordinary. Above all, I create a warm, caring environment where pets feel comfortable and loved.
“Abi took great care of our dog, he loved showing her all his toys and how fast he can chase his tail! Abi asked all the right questions before taking care of him, which made us feel confident he was being well cared for. Pleased we’ve found Abi, already thinking about next dates and can finally consider going on holiday and leaving our dog behind with zero anxiety. Thanks Abi”

“Maya so impressed us with her confident and conscientious approach to caring for wilf. She wasn't fussed at all about his potential for reactivity or his need for medication twice a day, and took this all in her stride. She cared for him impeccably and looked at old reviews to learn how much he loves to chase a ball and played with him. She took fantastic care of our home and left it absolutely spotless. We had lovely updates from her the entire time we were away. I can't recommend maya highly enough and would say she's definitely a level above some of the other care we have had on Rover. Will use her again for sure.”

Bristol pet owners share their Rover experiences
Will was able to help with my sweet old man with very late notice. We weren't able to do an in-person meet n' greet, but he made time for us do one virtually, which was most appreciated. He was punctual, communicative, and made the petsitting process easy and worry-free. I'm grateful we were able to benefit from Will's care experience and Moo would love to hang out with him again :)

We are extremely grateful to CJ for her patience, care, and understanding with our nervous rescue dogs. She was happy to come for multiple meet-and-greets to help put them at ease, and really listened and trusted us when we explained that one of our dogs' barking comes from anxiety rather than reactivity. CJ has a very calm demeanour and is clearly very experienced with animals. She was gentle and patient with our dogs at every step, always punctual, and took the time to ask thoughtful questions and properly go through routines and tasks beforehand. Everything was followed to a tee. She also left the house spotless and was incredibly communicative throughout, sending lots of rich updates and photos which gave us complete peace of mind. We would 100% recommend CJ to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and friendly sitter, and we will absolutely be inviting her back again.

Joe was great. He had a lovely calm and friendly manner that the dogs took to immediately. He kept us updated about what he was doing and how the dogs were. Setting up the sit was very easy and communication was good. Joe was reliable and on time when the sit began. It was clear when we got home that the dogs were happy and content and had been well looked after. Our home too was clean and tidy. We would recommend Joe wholeheartedly for any pet care whether and I'm sure we'll ask him for help again in the future.

Amelia was fabulous! She confirmed the date really quickly and unfortunately we weren’t able to fit in a meet and greet, so she arrived a little earlier on the day which meant we could show her round etc. Our dog River is very excitable and high energy (esp. with new people) but Amelia took it in her stride and after an hour he started to settle. Amelia kept us updated and shared photos, thank you so much, we hope to see you again soon.
