About: I’ve never met a pet I didn't like! Growing up in a house full of diverse animals, from energetic pups to unique reptiles, has taught me how to bond with all kinds of personalities and species. I understand that every pet has a distinct "voice," and I pride myself on being a patient, observant caregiver who treats every animal like a member of my own family. I offer dedicated dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight pet sitting. For High-Energy Dogs: I love hitting the trails for long, vigorous walks or runs to ensure your pup burns off that extra steam. For Seniors or Shy Pets: I’m experienced in providing gentle companionship and following specific medication or feeding schedules. Beyond Dogs: Thanks to my background, I am also very comfortable caring for cats, small mammals, and reptiles. I work full time but my job has a different schedule every month, and I've got plenty of days off during the week and some availability during work days. I get my schedule one month in advance so I can commit to long term bookings and I've always got some availability for last minute bookings. I'll take care of any pets as if they're my own. With all the care and love they'll need. I've got plenty of experience to know what they'll want to feel safe and comfortable.
“Erin is an amazing dog sitter, their communication has been great throughout. Pig can be anxious but seemed to settle really well with Erin and clearly had a lovely time.”

“We booked Simon at the last minute for a two night stay at our home. Simon took wonderful care of our dog and our cat while we away. He gave us regular updates and sent photos. We would 100% recommend Simon and will be booking again.”

“Georgia was absolutely amazing with our puppy, Fergie, while we were away. From the moment she picked him up, she kept us constantly updated with thoughtful messages, photos, and videos, which honestly gave us so much peace of mind on holiday. She followed his routine so carefully, asked great questions about his routine. We were especially impressed that she noticed and respected all the little things we’ve been working on with him, from toilet training cues to waiting patiently before meals. She even commented on how well-trained he was and how much work had clearly gone into him, which meant a lot to us. Fergie absolutely adored her. It was obvious from every update how relaxed, happy, playful, and cuddly he felt with her. Georgia went above and beyond by making lick mats for him, trying out his harness, taking him on walks, and giving him loads of affection and attention throughout the day. She genuinely seemed to love spending time with him, and that really showed. We came home to a happy, settled puppy and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We’d trust Georgia with Fergie again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, attentive, communicative, and genuinely wonderful with dogs. 💕”

“We are very, very happy with how Gigi looked after our boys during a long two week house sit. She knows how to look after dogs, is proactive in managing their days and walks (and ongoing training for our young one), and looked after our house very well. She is very responsive and trustworthy. More importantly, our dogs love her! Thank you Gigi! We are confident to recommend her to anyone.”

“Sophie was absolutely incredible with Arlo! He loved every second of his time with her, and it was so lovely knowing he was happy and being well looked after while we were away. From the moment we met Sophie, we knew Arlo would be in safe hands and we had absolutely no hesitation leaving him with her. She kept us really well updated throughout her stay, which gave us complete peace of mind, and she also left our house absolutely spotless! We’re incredibly grateful that our baby boy had such a lovely person looking after him. We honestly couldn’t recommend Sophie enough and would 100% have her look after Arlo again. Thank you so much, Sophie! 🥰🐾🤍”

“Amy really helped us out agreeing to housesit for our 7 dogs for a week at short notice. They are a lovely bunch but I have a very old lady who needs some additional care. Amy did a fantastic job of looking after all of them, they were all happy and relaxed when we got back and were clearly well cared for. The house was also kept really clean and tidy which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend Amy”

“Zoia was amazing looking after my cat, Liquorice. She was so trustworthy, caring, and responsible, and it was clear from the start that Liquorice felt comfortable with her. Knowing she was there meant I could fully relax and enjoy my time away. She also left the place lovely and tidy, which I really appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Zoia to anyone looking for someone kind, reliable, and genuinely caring with their pet.”

“Scott went absolutely above and beyond to make sure my pets were well looked after. My dog has special needs, and I was so relieved by how thoughtfully and carefully Scott planned everything in advance. He followed the medication schedule perfectly, made sure my dog was comfortable at all times, and gave him the best care I could hope for. He also sent regular updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. “Jack and Amy took great care of our Jasper while we were away. He had a really nice day staying at theirs and loved his walks and all the attention he received. We were given regular updates and pictures throughout. All communication was very easy and helped to make everything smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend 😊”

“Another brilliant sit from Eloise who our dog Daisy has been pining for since she left! Eloise sat Daisy for our 4 day and 3 night trip to Paris, which we had been nervous about seeing as it was the first time we’d left the country since getting Daisy and the longest time we’ve been away. From the moment Eloise walked through the door however our minds were immediately put at ease. Daisy was so happy to see Eloise I’m not sure she noticed us leave, and clearly had a lovely weekend of walks and snuggles on the sofa. Eloise was super communicative throughout the sit, asking advice about how to make Daisy feel better when a firework spooked her, and even kindly making sure she continued with the training we’d been doing with Daisy on her walks. Thanks so much again for everything Eloise and Daisy can’t wait for her next sit with you! Xxx”

“Laura has stayed to look after our (not so simple) cat Winnie twice now. She’s been great both times, keeping us updated with very welcomed photos. We will be using Laura again in the near future. ”

About: Hi there. I’m a full-time housewife and a lifelong cat lover. Although I’ve never had the chance to own a cat myself, I’ve spent countless hours at cat cafés simply enjoying their company and learning their unique personalities. I truly believe that cats are mysterious, intelligent beings—and maybe one day, they will rule the world (and honestly, I wouldn’t mind!). As someone who takes great pride in keeping a calm, tidy home, I understand the importance of providing a peaceful and loving environment for your feline friend. I may not have owned a cat, but I know how to respect their space, earn their trust, and care for them with patience and affection. Looking forward to meeting your furry boss soon!
About: I love all dogs and really do miss having a dog of my own. After my 17 year old Jack Russell Dexter passed away I didn’t want to get another dog straight away but I really miss the companionship of having a dog around so I would really love to look after yours. I have looked after and walked family and friends dogs which I very much enjoy. Any dog is always welcome into my home and will be treated like they are my own and given the love they deserve. My husband and son are also huge dog lovers and will enjoy them being in our home as much as me. I love going on dog walks with both playful and quieter dogs whether it’s long or short walks, as long as they are happy I’m happy. I work part time and am self employed so I am lucky enough to be able to look after your fur baby around my work. I have a fenced off and secure garden which is a good size for your fur baby to play and have a good sniff around. It is half grass and half patio.
About: Last year, as a family, we had the pleasure of looking after more than 20 different dogs in our home, many of whom came back to stay with us time and time again. This experience gave us a real love of caring for dogs and the responsibility that comes with looking after someone’s much-loved pet. We have recently moved to the Longwell Green area of Bristol. We’re currently renting while we look for our new home, so unfortunately we’re not able to board dogs at the moment. However, our daughter Anna is available throughout the summer for dog walking and house sitting. Anna is 24 and works as a Teaching Assistant in Bath, with plans to become a Special Educational Needs teacher. She is extremely reliable, trustworthy and responsible, and genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. She understands how important it is to owners to have someone they can completely trust in their home and with their pets. Anna has plenty of experience walking and caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities. She is calm, caring and attentive, and will treat your dog as if they were her own. Whether you need someone to pop in for walks and companionship, or someone trustworthy to stay in your home and care for your dog while you’re away, Anna would be very happy to help. Based in Longwell Green, Bristol but happy to travel to Bristol or Bath city centres. We normally walk before work, lunchtimes and after work. The garden will be available throughout the day and there will always be someone in the house to keep your dog company. We have a decent sized garden with 5-6 foot fencing all the way round. we will do all we can to make your dog feel at home and reassured.
“Luisa did a fantastic job sitting for my newly rehomed 1 year old pup. She took the time to pop over and meet him the day before which I really appreciated. She was great with Freddie who seemed to take an instant liking to her and was very patient and understanding of him being quite new and also a bit unsettled by an emergency vet appointment that day. Would happily recommend and use her services again.”

About: As a Vizsla owner, I’m well acquainted with high energy, velcro dog breeds who want to run for hours and then curl up next to you on the sofa. I understand that dogs like this need both physical exercise and real attention. My rural setting means plenty of space for zoomies, sniffing walks, and safe off-lead time (where appropriate), balanced with a genuinely calm, affectionate home environment for downtime. On my available days I work from home so will be present as company for your dog and ready to take the on an adventure. I have two young boys who will be around for some of the time they’ve grown up with our Viszla so know how to respect a dogs space and be gentle. I have a fenced garden and a friendly Viszla who makes a great playmate (but who also likes a lazy nap during the day). Plenty of walks on our doorstep and can keep them on lead if preferred.

Simon helped us out fairly short notice with a highly awkward situation, that managed to get even more complicated when one of our dogs fell ill days before he was due to look after them! He handled all of the chaos we threw at him perfectly and our dogs were happy, and house was all as we left it, can’t ask for better than that! Thanks Simon!
Sophie was absolutely incredible with Arlo! 🥰🐾🤍

Fantastic house sitter. this was Beis' second sit and Ryiledh was so pleased to see her again, which says it all.! (he's a quiet nervous dog) It was clear she genuinely adores him and we came home to a relaxed, happy, contented old dog. Bei is responsible, respectful and the house was left in excellent condition. She kept us updated throughout our holiday and followed our instructions diligently. We highly recommend Bei to take care of your pet(s) and home.

Georgia was wonderful with Poppy and provided regular updates & lovely pictures throughout our trip away. It was reassuring to know Poppy was in safe hands and clearly liked Georgia from the get go, when it takes a couple of days with new people normally. Thank you Georgia, see you next time!

Fantastic, just what we wanted! I would recommend Erin everytime! So reliable, nothing was too much trouble. The dogs loved her. Brilliant communication at every stage, knowing the dogs were happy meant I could relax and enjoy my holiday!! We had a bit of a disaster with my daughter’s flights home (coming home before us), as they were massively delayed…. This was no problem for Erin she took it in her stride and was so helpful. First time we’ve used a dog sitter, I would book Erin again in a heartbeat! Thank you Erin!!!

Mike has looked after our Spaniel a few times now. She doesn't warm to men so easily, being a rescue and more of a girl's girl, but she loves Mike and always greets him enthusiastically even when she hasn't seen him for a while. He takes good care of her, sends us updates and we come back to a clean and tidy house. Thank you
Harriette was really great, she came round to meet our cat ahead of time, and sent us lots of updates while we were away - our cat is usually quite skittish, but from photos she looked really relaxed and comfortable hanging out with Harriette! We’ll be sure to book her again if we have any other trips planned :)

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South Gloucestershire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
