We will definitely ask Mel to look after him again!”

About: I've always had dogs in my life growing up and then when I had my own children I had to have a family dog too. I had my own working cocker spaniel for 13 years who has sadly crossed the rainbow bridge recently leaving a big void in our home. I would love to you with the care of your dog when needed and enjoy having the company of dogs again in our home. I work from home several days a week which will reflect in my availability I am hoping to build my availability over time as I build my online business combining my two passions of counselling services and caring for animals. I have a large fenced safe garden and access to several playing fields locally. Having owned my own dog for 13 years until recently I am well equipped at home to take care of others. Happy for dogs in any space of my home, cuddles on the sofa? Absolutely! Especially after a lovely walk in nature!

“Our little dog Aluna was very happy with Debbie for her first overnight stay. Debbie kindly collected her to make it easier for Aluna (so she wasn't distressed when I left her) and took her for a short walk to settle her down before playing with her at her home. Debbie is warm and welcoming and treats her guest dogs as her own. She is quick to respond to messages and to answer any questions we had. We will happily send Aluna to stay with her again. Thanks Debbie.”

Our little Nala can be shy with new people, but she warmed to Emma quickly, a true testament to Emma's gentle, caring nature. We received lovely, thorough updates throughout her visits and won't hesitate to work with Emma again. If you are looking for a cat sitter, Emma is a total gem and we recommend her without reluctance.”

“Coralie came morning and evening to look after Nemo and ensure he was fed. She took photos of my furr baby, and helped me feel at ease while on holiday. She also returned our key very quickly. About: Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt a strong connection to them and a real sense of comfort being surrounded by their energy and companionship. I grew up with dogs, cats, and many other animals, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Over the years, friends, family, and neighbours often trusted me to look after their beloved pets as well. My closest companion was a little Maltese who stayed by my side for 16 wonderful years, until she sadly passed away in December 2022. After that loss, many people continued reaching out to me for help with their pets, and that’s how this new chapter began. The space left by my lifelong companion slowly opened the door to many new furry friendships. Alongside my experience with animals, I also have extensive training in caring for people and children, as well as a Master’s Degree in Psychology. While caring for animals is of course unique in its own way, many of the same qualities apply: patience, empathy, attention, and understanding. I truly care for every pet as if they were my own, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel their animals are safe, loved, and well looked after. If your dog will spend the time with me, I'll dedicate complete attention to your little friend based on his/her needs and his/her routine full time. :) ABOUT THE BOOKING: I need two weeks notice for more than 1night, couple of days for day care and once in contact I always schedule for a first meeting. The meeting is about 15/20 minutes outside or inside my flat if we both feel comfortable with. It is free, so no charge for it. Please be aware that there is NO OBLIGATION to accept your booking after the meeting. This is why the meeting was created for. I accept booking no more than 1 month in advance, no more than 5 days in a row. I can make exception for small and very calm, relaxed dogs or dogs that have already stayed in my flat and don't require too much energy. Please remember that I take care of one pet at a time so you will have a better chance of having the days you are looking for if you confirm before the others. This is why the first meeting is important, it allows you to have priority. When create your dog's profile, remember to add photos and all the required information. As a sitter I also decide and need the information you share with me! If you have more than one pet, Rover needs one separate profile for each one of them. Please be honest and clear about your dog HEALTH. Please note that I am unable to take responsibility for your dog’s health during your holiday if there are any existing or uncertain health concerns. Before boarding check with VET if: - Diet is correct and that there is no risk of loose stools and upset stomach. - The dog scratch, bite their skin or showing any signs of discomfort. Please maintain hight level of HYGIENE. - Make sure your dog is clean and free from fleas or ticks before the booking. - Treat the dog with appropriate medications (spray, drops or collar) specially during ticks season (April - October) In case your pet spends one or more nights in my flat, I request a text message (email or a paper) with all the dog routine INFORMATION, contact details, equipment list, food, medication and so on. I also offer daily PHOTOS and VIDEOS. You can monitor the state of happiness of your pet while is away from you. :D I simply care for your pet the same way I’d hope someone would care for mine. I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel stressful, so I’ll do everything I can to make the experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible for both you and your pet! VERY IMPORTANT: Please be kind when you request a booking and during a meeting. I offer my home and my personal space that I share with another person. Is my home therefore I DO NOT TOLLERATE any rude, destructive, offensive behaviour. I also do not tolerate any inappropriate, noisy, intruding comments or questions about my personal life. Please be respectful because I will be respectful with you. Let's maintain a friendly and polite conversation. :) I am here to offer a service and there is no reason why I should feel uncomfortable in my own home. Unfortunately this has happened in the past and I wish it didn't happen again. ABOUT DOGS AND SIZES: What if you have two dogs? I can make an exception following this criteria for a House Sitting in mine: - if the dogs are from the same owner; - if they have training or good behaviour indoors and no problem with furniture and plants; - if they are calm and relaxed; - if they weight no more than 10kg; - if they are used to not too large spaces; - if the booking is no more than 1 nights; In your House? - if they are calm and relaxed; - Drop in visit only. About: Hi, I'm Kerry! I share my home with my family, and a Cocker Spaniel called Bran. I've had dogs for over 10 years and genuinely love their company. Since bringing Bran home, I've spent a lot of time learning about the needs of active and busy breeds. I understand the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation and, I enjoy incorporating training, enrichment and sniffy walks into my dog's day. I'm home throughout the day so your dog would have lots of company and I can offer flexible walks and drop in visits that suit your dogs schedule. Most importantly, I'll care for your dog as I would my own and keep you updated with photos and messages while they're with me. Your dog would be treated like part of our family. I have a flexible schedule and will be home throughout most of the day. My husband works from home, so if I pop out, there will still be someone around to give your dog plenty of attention and care. I am able to offer two walks a day and your dog would never be left alone for long periods of time. I can offer walks and drop ins througout the week. If your dog needs a lunchtime walk, some company while you're out and a toilet break, I'm happy to help! I have a secure garden with plenty of space so your dog can safely enjoy outdoor time. For any dogs staying with us it's important they're comfortable with family life and happy to spend time with my dog. Like most spaniels, he's sociable and enjoys play when meeting new dogs, but settles well afterwards. That said, I also have enough space to provide separate, quiet time. Meet and greets are always welcome to make sure it's a good fit for everyone. For drop ins and walks, I'll fit in with your dog's usual routine as much as possible and keep you updated with photos and messages along the way.
About: I have had pets since I was a child, dogs, birds, rabbit and even looked after our neighbour's ducks when they went on holiday. We often look after Anna, our friend's dog when they go away, and Anna loves staying with us. Going for plenty of works and sometimes even joins to watch my son's football matches. I work from home twice a week with flexible working hours and we are home most weekends. I love going for daily walks and being outside, and pet will have the best time joining me on my works with regular water breaks. I have a fenced garden and no other pets, so your doggo is safe with our full attention. We also have a lovely field across our house with plenty to sniff about.

About: Do you have a furry friend who needs some company during the day? I have worked as a freelance sitter on and off for the past ten years for a small group of clients, and am now looking to expand my customer base. I have a sweet lurcher, called Lenny, who loves to play. He is good at matching other dogs’ energy, and very sociable! I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes (Fromm Maltese to Mastiffs!) and am knowledgable about dog behaviour and body language. I work flexible hours during the week and work from home, so I can provide continuous care for your dog. Doggy day care includes one walk at midday, usually around 1hr but this can be tailored to your pet. My garden is fully fenced, mainly with 6ft fencing. There are a couple of spots that are 5ft tall, so let me know if your pup is an escape artist! For dog walking, all new dogs will be exercised on lead unless in a safely fenced location. Even dogs with great recall can sometimes have selective hearing with new people! For recurring bookings, we can discuss the safest way for your dog to be off lead if this is something you’d like. I typically provide 3 updates a day, so you can rest assured that your dog is in safe hands.
“Victoria is excellent and we recommend her highly. When we first booked, we had a long conversation on the phone to discuss food/ behaviour/ triggers etc and we felt very comfortable that our boy was being thoroughly cared for. Thank you again!”

“Samuel did a great job caring for our Labrador. Leo came home relaxed and happy, which says a lot about the care he received. He was welcoming, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. Leo was clearly comfortable with him, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.”

“Felt very confident that Max had cared for our dog nicely for the day. Walked her safely, made her feel welcome on the sofa etc. She related warmly to him. Would certainly book again. Thanks Max.”

About: Hi! My name is Hannah (Yang) , and I am a passionate animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs. I’ve had the joy of raising three wonderful dogs in the past: Yanwo, Tony, and Yumi. Sadly, we lost Yumi when my children were only six months old, which led to us stepping back from having pets. However, my kids adore animals and are constantly begging me to bring a dog or cat into our home. While I’ve been hesitant to adopt a new pet due to the emotional loss we experienced, I’ve realized that hosting and caring for pets might be the perfect first step. I miss the companionship and joy that dogs bring, and I’m excited to offer a safe, loving environment for your furry family member. My children and I are eager to give your dog plenty of love and attention while you’re away, and we look forward to making them feel right at home. I also provide pick up and drop off service for areas within 1.5 miles with a small fee on top. If you're looking for someone to care for your pet with the same love and devotion as you do, I would be honored to be your go to sitter. Let’s chat and see how I can help take care of your fur baby! I work from home full-time with a very flexible schedule, allowing me to take regular breaks for walks to the local park or woods. I can take your pet for a walk every 3 to 4 hours throughout the day. When my children get home from school, they love joining me for the walks, ensuring your pet gets even more attention and exercise! I provide a safe and secure environment for your pet, starting with our fenced garden where they can play freely without any risk of getting out. Inside, we have a spacious living room perfect for your pet to relax and play. I also have a variety of pet toys to keep them entertained and engaged throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities.
“I employed Daniel for 8 consecutive days to walk our cockapoo while we were away as my mother is struggling with arthritis and I have nothing but praise for his reliability, kindness and dog-loving nature! Not only did he turn up every day exactly on time for the walk, but he sometimes walked for extra time and even chatted with my mother afterwards. She found Daniel to be an extremely friendly and caring person and I would have no hesitation in using him again or recommending him to others.”

“Rosie is fab with our puppy, has lots of experience and takes our puppy out for walks when we’re not available. Updates us with pictures, plays games with our pup and reinforces training. Trustworthy and reliable”

I have a fenced back garden and have plenty of room for a crate in my house, or simply a bed to keep them in the kitchen overnight.
About: I have taken care of dogs for the last few years. We have always had dogs in our family. We lost one of our boys last year and have a 1 year old dachshund who is very sociable. He has some dachshund traits (barking) but he loves playing with other dogs, he is regularly around family dogs and goes to a dog day care one day a week too. I absolutely love dogs and would treat yours as they were mine 🐾❤️ I am currently working part time and term time only. So school holidays my calendar is fully open, during school term I can offer dog walking and boarding weds pm to Sunday. I live in a large flat with a very spacious living room and have a shared garden which only we usually use. We have lovely nearby walks and parks we especially love the local river and woods walks. I’m currently working part time but am able to look after your pets from weds lunchtime to Sunday. In the school holidays my calendar is completely open I live in a ground floor flat which has a communal garden around the back. We are close to beautiful walks and I walk my dog atleast twice a day and take out for regular toilet breaks
About: I joined Rover in 2022. I can't be more happier. I have a German Short-haired Pointer back home. I miss her so much so, spending time with others dogs help me a lot and keeps me busy. I have a fenced and long yard where pets can spent quality time. I am happy walking them around a couple of times per day. I work part time from home so i have plenty of time. I can boarding and receive visit everyday basically. I am quite flexible as well. Me and my boyfriend together take care of the dogs. So we both can easily manage ourselves to keep the dogs under control every time.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats for most of my childhood and adult life and only stopped after my 11 year old Newfoundland (one in the picture) died in 2019. My little ones are a bit older now (5 & 3) and although we don’t yet want the commitment of a new dog, it would be great for me and them to look after one or maybe two from same home for a few days at a time. I work from home, so will be in to look after the dog all day, and we are close to the Frome valley walkway and Frenchay common for walks and also have a large back garden with grass and fenced all the way around. As per description, I work from home. Only think we ask is for dog to be good with children. The children are very well behaved and love dogs so we don’t want to affect that. As above, fenced in yard. Will be able to go all around downstairs (not upstairs but we have gate) in day. We will keep in Kitchen at night as it has a stone floor so any accidents can be easily cleaned. In winter we will give access to garden as much as needed (via patio door or back door), but in summer doors will be open all day for them to have access.

“Marie was helpful, flexible and responsive to messages. My dog settled well and when I picked her up was relaxed and happy. Photos sent during the week showed my dog enjoying the outdoors and settled with Marie and her family. I am confident my dog was well cared for and loved during her stay.”

“Jessica was absolutely brilliant with Rico. They provided daily pictures, took him out on lovely walks and it was clear he had great time with Jessica! Highly recommend her and will definitely leave Rico again on the next opportunity.”

“Hector had a great time with Petra and her family and took special care of him during the fireworks of the bonfire night festivities. Would definitely recommend her to anyone else looking for a dog sitter!”

“Best dog sitters we have ever had. Regularly given updates with pictures, and went above and beyond to settle our dog in. Can't recommend enough and likely the only dog sitters we will ever use in the future. ❤️”

“Found Sam, as needed some last minute dog sitting (change of our plans). Welcoming, Good Comms and Dogs were well settled. Very nice couple - happy to leave our dogs with them any time. Thank you.”
“Giorgia provided great care for our dog Luca - treating him as one of the family with trips out for walks, the allotment and pub while we enjoyed our own weekend away. She shared lots of photos and videos so we could enjoy what he’d been up to and was warm and welcoming when we dropped off and picked up. Thank you for looking after him with such obvious interest and affection.”

“Aaron was brilliant with our Aster Bear. He had her for 8 nights whilst we were on holiday and she was very well looked after and came back very happy! I am always hesitant to leave her with anyone as she is a Romanian Rescue with unique characteristics, a large bread dog with allergies and, separation anxiety which were all very well managed by Aaron. We will be using Aaron again in the future!”

“Marvin has had a fantastic time with Sam and Laura. Lots of play time and lots of cuddles - we’re not sure he missed us at all. He’s snuggled up at home now totally worn out after a fun weekend. Thank you so much - and Marvin’s sorry for trying to steal your socks.”

“Amy was incredible, very communicative and great with my Dog Barry. Got sent photos and videos throughout the day and there were some difficult logistical bits to sort out which she handled wonderfully. I’ll definitely be using her again and couldn’t recommend her highly enough! 10 out of 10!”

“Akela had a lovely weekend with Jack, Amy and Pepper. He came back so calm and relaxed, had plenty of walks and they kept us updated everyday with photos. Would highly recommend them☺️”

“Used Tereza for a few weeks now and she and her partner have both been lovely and Ted seems to be enjoying his stays. Will continue to leave him with them when they are available”

About: Our family dog is 14 years old. I moved out over 5 years ago and look after him whenever my parents go away along with all my friends and families dogs whenever they are needing care. Big or small. Both my partner and I love dogs and want to make sure they feel like they have a home away from home. I work part time and my partner works from home. So we have plenty of availability. Especially on weekends. Your dog would get lots of exercise and plenty of love! I have a completely enclosed garden and a lovely park just down the road. We have a nice cosy house and want your dog to feel as relaxed as possible.
“Lily took great care of Blossom and was very communicative with daily updates, walks and photos. Her dog Willow despite being 4x the size of Blossom was very friendly and they played together. Her charges were also reasonable compared to other sitters in Bristol. Would definitely be using Lily again.”

“Great sitters. From initial contact they were very responsive, gave regular updates and were incredibly flexible and accommodating with timings and even extending overnight stay. Will definitely use again.”
