“Tamara was very friendly and welcoming. Milo had a lovely day and Tamara kept us updated with photos. We really appreciated that Tamara invited us around before hand to chat, which put us at ease with leaving our dog with her. Will definitely be using Tamara again in the future.”

About: **Please note, as of November we are delighted to be welcoming our own Hungarian Vizsla. He will be 5 months from then and we are conducting extensive training to ensure he is as social as possible. Please factor this in when requesting from then on :) My wife and I adore dogs (any animals really!) We help our family and friends regularly with dog sitting or walks. We have recently moved into our home which has a large, safe and secure garden. Our home has plenty of fields/parks nearby or quieter side streets to suit your dog’s needs and preferences whilst out on walks. We can provide your dog with love and affection all day as we both work from home so there is no need to leave your family pet alone. We would love to help where we can! My wife Lauren and I work solely from home so we are always around. We are in our early 30’s so have plenty of energy to give your pet. Our home is safe and secure with a big garden. We are both active so walks will be no problem, whatever breed you have and the needs they require, we will ensure we meet them. We have a lot of love to give. We have a fully fenced garden with plenty of grass for them to run around. We have a spare bedroom to make your pet feel at home, or if they need to be kept in a crate overnight and would prefer being downstairs, that’s not a problem either as we have plenty of downstairs space. We can be adaptable to your pets needs.
“Amber and Tom have been really lovely and attentive with Illy, I couldn't have asked for more!I was a bit apprehensive leaving my anxious rescue pup but Amber made me feel at ease and sent me updates during the day. Illy played all day with their dog Daniel who is very sweet and greeted us at the door with a toy! She also got on very well with Tom, even though she is normally intimidated by men, and let her stroke her and take her for a walk which is wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend Amber Tom to look after your pup : ) thank you so much!!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for pets for friends, family and neighbours. I’m responsible, patient and genuinely enjoy giving pets plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime and care. I also volunteered at an animal shelter in Spain, where I gained valuable hands-on experience caring for animals with different personalities, needs and backgrounds. This included feeding, cleaning, exercising and socialising animals, as well as giving them patience, reassurance and plenty of affection. This experience taught me how important it is to understand each animal individually and make them feel safe and comfortable. I’m comfortable following feeding routines, giving medication if needed, and caring for pets with different needs. I also have a very loving, cuddly cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can completely trust. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I can dedicate plenty of time to caring for your cat. I’m available throughout the week and at weekends, and I can provide regular attention, feeding, playtime and companionship. I’m happy to discuss your cat’s usual routine and make sure they receive the care and attention they’re used to while staying in my home. I have a calm, cat-friendly home where your cat can feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. I have a loving and cuddly cat of my own who is very friendly and well behaved. I make sure windows and doors are secure, keep potential hazards out of reach and provide cosy spaces where cats can rest and feel at home. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully and make your cat’s safety and wellbeing my priority.
“Tom and Sabrina are top dog sitters! They are clearly very experienced and knowledgeable about dogs, and they asked lots of questions about Sandy before her first stay with them. We got loads of pictures and updates during her stay - she had a lovely time 🥰🐾”

“Giedvile and her partner were just brilliant with Scarlett! They fitted us in last minute and looked after her amazingly. She came home happy and contentedly tired which is such a good sign as she is quite nervous around new people and can struggle to settle in. They also took the best pictures of her I’ve ever seen. We’d be super keen to book with Giedvile again and would highly recommend.”

About: Hi, I'm Kerry! I share my home with my family, and a Cocker Spaniel called Bran. I've had dogs for over 10 years and genuinely love their company. Since bringing Bran home, I've spent a lot of time learning about the needs of active and busy breeds. I understand the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation and, I enjoy incorporating training, enrichment and sniffy walks into my dog's day. I'm home throughout the day so your dog would have lots of company and I can offer flexible walks and drop in visits that suit your dogs schedule. Most importantly, I'll care for your dog as I would my own and keep you updated with photos and messages while they're with me. Your dog would be treated like part of our family. I have a flexible schedule and will be home throughout most of the day. My husband works from home, so if I pop out, there will still be someone around to give your dog plenty of attention and care. I am able to offer two walks a day and your dog would never be left alone for long periods of time. I can offer walks and drop ins througout the week. If your dog needs a lunchtime walk, some company while you're out and a toilet break, I'm happy to help! I have a secure garden with plenty of space so your dog can safely enjoy outdoor time. For any dogs staying with us it's important they're comfortable with family life and happy to spend time with my dog. Like most spaniels, he's sociable and enjoys play when meeting new dogs, but settles well afterwards. That said, I also have enough space to provide separate, quiet time. Meet and greets are always welcome to make sure it's a good fit for everyone. For drop ins and walks, I'll fit in with your dog's usual routine as much as possible and keep you updated with photos and messages along the way.
“Victoria is excellent and we recommend her highly. When we first booked, we had a long conversation on the phone to discuss food/ behaviour/ triggers etc and we felt very comfortable that our boy was being thoroughly cared for. Thank you again!”

About: Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt a strong connection to them and a real sense of comfort being surrounded by their energy and companionship. I grew up with dogs, cats, and many other animals, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Over the years, friends, family, and neighbours often trusted me to look after their beloved pets as well. My closest companion was a little Maltese who stayed by my side for 16 wonderful years, until she sadly passed away in December 2022. After that loss, many people continued reaching out to me for help with their pets, and that’s how this new chapter began. The space left by my lifelong companion slowly opened the door to many new furry friendships. Alongside my experience with animals, I also have extensive training in caring for people and children, as well as a Master’s Degree in Psychology. While caring for animals is of course unique in its own way, many of the same qualities apply: patience, empathy, attention, and understanding. I truly care for every pet as if they were my own, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel their animals are safe, loved, and well looked after. If your dog will spend the time with me, I'll dedicate complete attention to your little friend based on his/her needs and his/her routine full time. :) ABOUT THE BOOKING: I need two weeks notice for more than 1night, couple of days for day care and once in contact I always schedule for a first meeting. The meeting is about 15/20 minutes outside or inside my flat if we both feel comfortable with. It is free, so no charge for it. Please be aware that there is NO OBLIGATION to accept your booking after the meeting. This is why the meeting was created for. I accept booking no more than 1 month in advance, no more than 5 days in a row. I can make exception for small and very calm, relaxed dogs or dogs that have already stayed in my flat and don't require too much energy. Please remember that I take care of one pet at a time so you will have a better chance of having the days you are looking for if you confirm before the others. This is why the first meeting is important, it allows you to have priority. When create your dog's profile, remember to add photos and all the required information. As a sitter I also decide and need the information you share with me! If you have more than one pet, Rover needs one separate profile for each one of them. Please be honest and clear about your dog HEALTH. Please note that I am unable to take responsibility for your dog’s health during your holiday if there are any existing or uncertain health concerns. Before boarding check with VET if: - Diet is correct and that there is no risk of loose stools and upset stomach. - The dog scratch, bite their skin or showing any signs of discomfort. Please maintain hight level of HYGIENE. - Make sure your dog is clean and free from fleas or ticks before the booking. - Treat the dog with appropriate medications (spray, drops or collar) specially during ticks season (April - October) In case your pet spends one or more nights in my flat, I request a text message (email or a paper) with all the dog routine INFORMATION, contact details, equipment list, food, medication and so on. I also offer daily PHOTOS and VIDEOS. You can monitor the state of happiness of your pet while is away from you. :D I simply care for your pet the same way I’d hope someone would care for mine. I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel stressful, so I’ll do everything I can to make the experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible for both you and your pet! VERY IMPORTANT: Please be kind when you request a booking and during a meeting. I offer my home and my personal space that I share with another person. Is my home therefore I DO NOT TOLLERATE any rude, destructive, offensive behaviour. I also do not tolerate any inappropriate, noisy, intruding comments or questions about my personal life. Please be respectful because I will be respectful with you. Let's maintain a friendly and polite conversation. :) I am here to offer a service and there is no reason why I should feel uncomfortable in my own home. Unfortunately this has happened in the past and I wish it didn't happen again. ABOUT DOGS AND SIZES: What if you have two dogs? About: I have myself lived with cats for my whole life, and looked after my grandma's dogs for years. I genuinely love their company, and I really miss it. I am planning to get a dog in the future but I am allowing myself a few years to still have some flexibility, which is the reason why I am on this amazing platform! I am working from home 2 to 3 days a week so I am pretty flexible. I am happy to look after dogs whenever, as long as I know a little bit in advance. I try to keep them happy and entertained as much as I can, going for big walks, trying to understand their needs at the most, whether it is to feed them, let them sleep, any pain they might feel.
“Duane has been looking after Arwen for a good while now. He is wonderful with her. She clearly feels comfortable at his house based on her charge through the front door each morning. Comforting to know she's well looked after while I'm at work.”

“Samuel did a great job caring for our Labrador. Leo came home relaxed and happy, which says a lot about the care he received. He was welcoming, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. Leo was clearly comfortable with him, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.”

“It was our first time leaving Rosie with a dog sitter but Madeleine and Jake took great care of her and put us at ease. We could go out for the day and enjoy ourselves, not having to worry about whether she was lonely or unhappy at home alone. She had a good walk and fitted into their day. We will definitely be using them again. Thank you”

Gomez had such a lovely day and was clearly very well cared for by Madeleine and her partner. They kept us updated throughout the day with lovely photos of Gomez on his walks and looking very relaxed and happy which really put us at ease. Great communication and care…would definitely recommend and book again! 🐾

We're very grateful to Isabelle for looking after our Lab/Collie mix, Mina! Isabelle took on our booking at short notice, and Mina had a lovely time. Mina can be anxious, but she settled in with Isabelle straight away and had a nice walk just around the corner in the park. Mina came home sleepy and happy! We'll definitely be asking Isabelle to look after Mina again

lovely couple, Delilah had a lovely day, first time I have properly used rover & what a great experience, thank you so much, with only a few days notice they was able to fit Delilah in for the day so I could go out for my mums 60th birthday, thanks so much again, will 100% be booking again!🐶❤️

Milo had a brilliant day with Liz, thank you! As a busy spaniel he can sometimes find it difficult to settle in new environments but here he clearly felt relaxed and at home.. Liz had taken everything on board about his little quirks (ball obsession being one) and Milo was a happy boy when picked up.. will def be using Liz again in future!

Henry was really accomodating when arranging to have Ripley for day care at his home. We did a meet and greet for a walk and a chat before the day, and I felt reassured about leaving Ripley with him. Henry was really responsive to messages and sent me photos and updates during her stay. Thank you! I hope Ripley can come visit you again soon.

I had a wonderful experience with Jodie and her family couldn’t be happier with the care they gave Soho. They were attentive, reliable, and gave me so much peace of mind. Soho came home happy and relaxed. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend them!

Rhea did a wonderful job caring for our Labrador. Leo came home relaxed and happy, which says a lot about the care he received. She was friendly, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. Leo was clearly comfortable with her, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
