Pet care experience
Bristol Dog Walker and Sitter
I’ve had dogs all my life and currently own my third Doberman, so I’m very comfortable with large, intelligent and high-energy breeds. Although I’m new to Rover, I’m certainly not new to caring for, walking and handling dogs. Over the years I’ve looked after friends’ and family members’ dogs as well as my own, and I understand the importance of structure, consistency and calm leadership. I’m confident handling strong dogs on the lead and ensuring walks are both stimulating and safe. Your dog will be treated as part of the family — with clear boundaries, proper exercise and plenty of affection.

Simon helped us out fairly short notice with a highly awkward situation, that managed to get even more complicated when one of our dogs fell ill days before he was due to look after them! He handled all of the chaos we threw at him perfectly and our dogs were happy, and house was all as we left it, can’t ask for better than that! Thanks Simon!
Simon looked after Otis for 3 nights, we were really happy and will definitely rebook for our next holiday. He took the time to meet Otis out on a walk and again at his house, to ensure that hed be ok with his own dog. He took Otis on lots of varied interesting walks, and sent photos. Would recommend.

Simon was super with Odie. Asked all the right questions and clearly understands dogs and what they need. Simon, introduced Odie to his dog ahead of the stay which was perfect for both dogs to get to know each other. He kept us updated with photos and videos whilst we were away.

We booked Simon at the last minute for a two night stay at our home. Simon took wonderful care of our dog and our cat while we away. He gave us regular updates and sent photos. We would 100% recommend Simon and will be booking again.
Poppy had a great time with Simon! It was reassuring to meet up in a green open space to meet his dog Heidi before he looked after her. He sent lots of videos and photos and poppy came home happy and tired from all the playing.

Simon cared for Buddy as though he was his own. He was a lovely guy, good at messaging and sending photos, and even bought him a toy! We will go to Simon first when we need dog care again

Schedule
I work from home and I have plenty of time to go for long walks and playtime with dogs. We normally go for two walks a day our favorite places are Oldbury Estate and magpie bottom.

I have a fenced garden and a beautiful three-year-old Doberman called Heidi Houdini, who is very friendly and loves other dogs. I am happy to be a sitter or have borders or just take Dogs for a walk.

A typical day
We start the day with a walk down to magpie bottom walking through the Orchard and doing a loop past the stream. Come back have breakfast. Maybe a bit of a nap and then we go for the afternoon walk down to Oldbury Estate. If it hasn’t been raining, then we might have a dip in the in the river, a bit of ball chasing in the park. Maybe some training practice with treats if allowed and then back to the ranch. I get all with my work for an hour or so, whilst the hounds have a snooze.

- I have a 3-year-old female Doberman called Heidi. She has an excellent temperament and is very well socialised, but I always introduce dogs calmly and properly before any group walks or boarding. For everyone’s safety and happiness, I require a meet-and-greet in a neutral outdoor space before confirming regular walks or stays. Please let me know: • Is your dog neutered/spayed? • How do they behave around larger breeds? • Any history of reactivity, guarding, or anxiety? • Are they comfortable travelling in a car? • Recall reliability (if applicable)? • Any medical issues or dietary needs? I prioritise calm, structured walks and positive social experiences. My aim is to create a safe, balanced environment for every dog in my care. If your dog has specific quirks or routines, I’m very happy to work with them — the more information you provide, the better experience I can create for them.
