“We left our elderly terrier Indi with Rachel for an afternoon as we were visiting Wells to attend a family birthday lunch at a venue that was not dog friendly. As soon as we met Rachel and her dog Buster we knew that Indi was in safe hands and felt confident to leave her. The house was warm and comfortable, Indi was asleep on the sofa when we came to collect her. Thank You Rachel and Buster.”

About: I was born into a life of animals, my dad’s small holding consisting of Dogs, Cats, Cows, Pigs, Sheep and Poultry. I enjoyed horse riding as a child and went onto work for an Equine vets. I have done some recent casual dog walking and now realised I can offer a service alongside looking after my own dog and how much I enjoy it. I’m a part time night worker and my children are both at school so I am at home a lot during the day and have a lot of time I can dedicate to walking/looking after other dogs. I live on the edge of a working dairy farm and have a big enclosed spacious garden to offer surrounded by fields that I have access to use. There is also an outdoor run and kennel aswell as within my home.
About: I bring a well-rounded pet care background that combines hands-on experience with a genuine love for animals. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic puppies who need consistent training and socialization to senior pets who require patience, medication management, and a gentle approach. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and commitment to tailoring care to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I’m confident in handling lead training, basic obedience reinforcement, and maintaining consistent routines to help pets feel secure. I’m also experienced in recognising signs of stress or discomfort, which allows me to provide responsive and compassionate care. Most importantly, I treat every pet as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while their family is away. My partner and I both work from home. We have a dog and cat of our own so are already hands on with looking after them. Having your pet stay with us, they'll be treated like one of our family Safety and trust are my top priorities whenever I care for pets, whether in my home or in a pet owner’s home. I make sure the environment is safe, comfortable, and suited to each pet’s needs. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and follow their instructions closely to keep routines consistent—everything from feeding schedules and exercise to favorite toys and cozy spots. I double-check that doors, gates, and fences are secure, and I provide regular updates with photos so owners feel at ease. If I’m hosting in my own home, I create a safe and welcoming space by removing hazards, ensuring plenty of fresh water, and providing enrichment through walks, playtime, and cuddle time. I keep a close eye on behavior and body language, and I’m comfortable adjusting the environment to reduce stress or overstimulation. No matter the setting, I treat each pet with patience, compassion, and the same care I’d want for my own.
“Absolutely great. Daniella was very accommodating regarding times and I felt very comfortable about leaving our dog Lil with her. Lil seemed to be very happy about being left and felt at home straight away. Many thanks Daniella.”

About: I grew up with animals of all sorts in Kenya, and have had various pets throughout my life: dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, tortoises, fish, and a giant snail. My last dog (boxer) was a family pet, which I trained from a puppy, and cared for until she grew old. My cats came to me as kittens and lived long happy lives with me. I've looked after friends' and neighbours' dogs, walking, playing with them, and having them overnight or for several days at a time. I have a large garden in rural Somerset - perfectly suited for dogs. I love all animals! I am a freelance artist, and work mainly from home. I can offer many hours of company in the daytime, and am always at home overnight. I wake early so the morning feed and walk is easily done. I have a large spacious fenced garden, in a rural village in Somerset. I keep pets downstairs to roam freely in the sitting room and kitchen. I can crate your pet if needed, when I go out.
About: * Greyhound & Sighthound Specialist Home Boarding* * * Other calm dogs considered. * Cat carer in Wells (pop ins) Hi, my name is a Rowena and I am lucky enough to have fostered and cared for my own dogs since 2008. I’m particularly good with sensitive dogs and rescues and even the most wary dogs seem to gravitate towards me. I’ve also studied the Trust Technique with James French so can help your babies stay calm and relaxed. I’ve had my pet care business since 2018, and have recently relocated to Wookey Hole and now live in a farmhouse with a very large garden and orchard where your furbaby can be free range on the furniture and have zoomies. I have plenty of references who will be happy to speak to you. I also offer house sitting with my two greyhounds who are both very well travelled and settle easily into new surroundings. I also offer ad hoc walking for dogs, and cat pop in cuddles and feeds. I’m very flexible because I’m lucky enough to be able to work remotely as I have my own property business which doesn’t require much time at all. Therefore your furbabies will be my first priority and we will always have a meet and greet before hand to ensure the greyhounds get on. And with cat care, I’ll always come and introduce myself to make sure your cat approves. I’ve never not been approved! As I’m a landlord and an air BnB superhost I’m very attentive to leaving your home exactly as you found it and doing basic security things such as curtains, post away from the door, bins in and out and of course I won’t leave bird feeders empty or plants dry. As well as being a pet and home owner, I am a landlady and a dog friendly air BnB owner therefore I know how to look after and respect peoples property. Your furbabies will be my priority, I absolutely love animals and they warm to me. I will stick to their routines as much as possible ans I will ensure there are excursions. As well as sensitive dogs I’m also good with older ones. My own Lurcher even had a buggy so I am very happy and understand and additional requirements or quirks of dogs. I’m a good judge of doggy character as well and would make sure there was mutual trust there before doing things like letting them off the lead, but of course only with your permission. I have plenty of excellent references, just ask.
About: I’ve been surrounded by pets including dogs, horses and cats my whole life. I live on a farm surrounded by 4 dogs and 4 horses and am frequently responsible for their care. I am comfortable caring for any kind of pet, including very young puppies. One of my dogs has had litters, and I am frequently called upon by owners of the litters to pet sit while they are on holidays. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and am responsible for the majority of dog walking at home. I’m currently on summer holidays from my medical degree so I have plenty of free time all days of the week for pet care. I work every now and again for a weddings company but usually just once a week so my availability is very flexible. This also allows me to be flexible on very short notice. I have lots of experience in pet care as a foundation and will tailor this to your individual pets needs. I enjoy pets company but also am organised in a practical sense to ensure walking, feeding and cleanliness are all optimised for your pet.
“Although nervous about leaving Monty we needn’t have been . We had a meet and greet first and Nicolas and his wife put our minds at ease as they were such dog friendly people. We were sent photos during the day and Monty had the best time. Just want to say thank you, we recommend them and will definitely use them again”

“Julia looked after our dog Naela for a week during the workday. Our dog had the best time, she greatly enjoyed playing with Julia's dogs and enjoyed being out in her garden. Julia was very organised and attentive to our requests, and was flexible with our pickup and drop-off schedule. We will definitely be reaching out to Julia again when we need daycare for Naela!”

About: I absolutely ADORE doggies and always have! I’ve had dogs ever since I was born, so grew up taking care of them and walking them, bathing them etc. I’ve also looked after neighbours and friends and families pets when it’s been needed. I’m currently work in catering during the hours of 11-6, so have plenty of time to care for your pups before I start and when I have finished. I’m fortunate enough to get all of the school holidays off, plus and extra few weeks being that it’s at Milfield. So can be assured I’ll care and cuddle for your pets on any occasion you need me:) Please do drop me a message and we will chat about your pets needs. I cannot offer boarding at my own home unfortunately, but I am more than happy to board in your own home, as in my opinion it keeps the dog comfortable and doesn’t change too much of a routine for them.
“Otto had the best time with Sofia and her gorgeous pup Orla! Sofia had great communication throughout all stages of our booking and kept us up to date with photos. Absolutely amazing! Literally cannot rate Rachel highly enough from the sensitive and care she has shown my dog to the excellent communication during the whole booking process and being so patient with us both as we are both a little reactive! I would highly recommend Rachel for dog walking or dog sitting she will care for your pet above and beyond - I can see how happy and relaxed my dog is at the end of the day and drop off and pickup so easy in central Wells. She is very calm, friendly and very sensitive to dogs and their language and behaviour.

Rachel was great at communicating. I came from out of town and we had two dogs who needed walking, Rachel was able to accommodate this and navigate with care, what the dogs needed. She sent photos and the pooches where safe and happy when I returned from the day out. Thank you for your service.
