About: Iv lived with animals all my life, grew up on a farm and have a passion for working with all types of furry friends! I have also been lucky enough to train my dogs, either from a pup or once rescued from all Sorts of backgrounds. I work closely with local rescue centres and have fostered, rehabilitated and trained some very beautiful and loving pooches. I absolutely love dogs, and working from home means I can dedicate plenty of time, care, and attention to them throughout the day. I previously had a much-loved medium-sized dog who was truly part of the family, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. Although she’s no longer with me, my home is still very much set up with dogs in mind. I offer two daily walks, lots of companionship, and access to my small but secure, dog-friendly garden. Your pet would be welcomed warmly, treated with genuine affection, and cared for as if they were one of my own during their stay. My garden is fully fenced and completely safe. I have gates up in the home and doors to block and exits (just in case anyone tries to make a break for it)

About: DBS Checked | Fully Insured | Driving Licence | Own Vehicle | 5 Years Animal Rescue Volunteering | Right to Work in the UK I have been surrounded by animals since early childhood and have always cared for both dogs and cats. Throughout my life, I’ve lived with one, two, and sometimes even three dogs at the same time of different breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, so I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I have completed basic dog training courses and spent 10 years volunteering at a dog and cat shelter, where I gained valuable experience caring for animals, supporting rescues, and helping with adoption processes. I am confident handling both small and large dogs and can comfortably walk multiple dogs at once in a safe and calm manner. I genuinely love spending time with animals — whether that’s going for long walks, playing, providing companionship, or simply making them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I am patient, attentive, and reliable, and I always make sure pets receive plenty of care, affection, exercise, and attention. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I will always treat your pets as if they were my own. I would be delighted to help care for your furry family members. I am currently not working, which means I can fully dedicate my time and attention to caring for pets. I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the week, including weekends, for walks, drop-ins, daycare, or overnight care. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I would love to make pet care my long-term profession. In the near future, I am planning to take professional canine behaviour and dog training courses to further improve my knowledge and skills as a future dog trainer. I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship, while following their usual routines to help them feel comfortable and secure. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident and relaxed when leaving their pets in someone else’s care, so I always provide a calm, caring, and reliable environment. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walking routines, medication, training, and any special requirements. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments, including energetic dogs, shy pets, and senior animals. During walks, I stay attentive and safety-conscious at all times, and I am comfortable handling multiple dogs when needed. I also make sure pets receive regular updates, photos, and communication so owners can feel reassured while they are away. I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and respect, as if they were my own.
“Highly recommended, our girls loved their day with Helen and her own two furbabies. Thank you again so much. They have had their dinner and instantly fallen asleep, bless them. Will definitely use again.”

“Billie had a good time with Alan, she came home content, tired from good walkies, and well cared for. She’s a high energy dog, so not everyone’s cup of tea, but Alan was great with her. Would definitely recommend and use again.”

“Charlie and Cooper had a lovely time with Trase. Communication was great and we were kept up to date throughout their stay with photos and messages. Will definitely use Trase again, and you can go away happy knowing they're in safe hands, thank you so much!”

About: I have grown up with dogs and have experience with a variety of breeds! I am very keen to look after some furry friends in my home and any pets that I look after will be well loved, walked and cared for as if they're our own! I am often asked by friends and family to look after their dogs and always enjoy doing so! Having recently reduced my working hours I am at home a lot more, meaning I have plenty of time to care for your pets and give them lots of attention! I have a large enclosed garden that your dog will be able to roam and explore. I also only live a ten minute walk away from our local country park! I like to keep pets downstairs only in my home and will tuck them up in their beds in my spacious kitchen of an evening at bed time.
“Tianna has been fantastic and i feel very confident that Daisy is cared for exactly as i would hope. Tianna kept me updated with messages and pics which was really reassuring and i was completly comfortable that she could come and go respectfully in the house while i wasn't there. Really very happy indeed and i am pretty sure Daisy was too!”

“Alana was fantastic! She took great care of Vixen and kept me updated throughout. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and takes her walking duties seriously. Reliable, friendly, and attentive—highly recommended!”

About: I raised my 5 year old cocker spaniel, who loves ditch-the-bowl training. I'm a freelance outdoor instructor offering stimulating, long winter walks with new scents to enrich happy dogs. My two dogs enjoy morning and evening walks. With the garden always open, I provide 1-2 long weekday walks and adventurous weekend outings away from Sherborne. My garden is fenced, so they cannot escape. My two dogs will keep your dog company who are both very friendly and are used to other dogs staying. If they were to travel in the van I have seat belt clips, clips and a crate in the rear. I have a crate if your dog needs it's own space in the house too (Rusty sleeps under the stairs and Indi can sleep in our bedroom, so your dog can either sleep in the kitchen or living room). If you needed me to stay at your house, then I don't have to bring my dogs as my partner also works from home. We love dogs! We don't have children so they get a lot of fuss. I tend to use kibble/treats on their first walk with a retractable lead, to get a sense of recall and connection with the dog.
“Fantastic service. Bobbie had a great time with Fern. It was lovely to have photos whilst we were away and I could even see where they'd been for a walk. Fern kindly picked up Bobbie from my Mum's house and dropped her back.”

“I cannot thank you enough Harry for looking after Bella at such short notice. She clearly had a lovely time in your company and seemed far more chilled out with you than with us in our holiday cottage. We will be visiting Somerset again soon, so i hope you will be available again for Bella day care.”

About: I’ve grown up and looked after dogs my whole life. All shapes and sizes. I am fortunate to have a large fenced garden and surround by nothing but fields. I like nothing better than to be out in the fresh air normally accompanied by my gorgeous Viszla. I am currently not working so am at home and free all day. I walk my dog twice a day for an hour at a time. I have an enclosed garden and a very friendly Viszla who is very sociable and on dry days spends most of it outside. Her choice.

Moses spent a day with Elissia while we were on holiday in the ares and wanted to visit some non doggy places. He was well looked after, and Moses was happy when we collected him. Communication was good, before and during his stay. Thankyou for caring for him.I can recommend Elissia.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
