They was absolutely wonderful. They took amazing care of my dog Dolly throughout the day and overnight and I could tell right away that dolly felt comfortable and happy with them. They gave plenty of updates with videos and photos which gave me so much reassurance and peace of mind whilst I was away. Dolly had such a great time and came home happy and relaxed. I highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.

Chocs said "Laura was great; she should come back every time you swan off on this and that". And I believe every little thing Chocs tell me. How else could I know how it all was good? I wasn't here for the six hours that Laura reigned supreme. What I am sure about, is that it was all mutual smiles when I returned. Top Marks!

About: I’ve had spaniels the best part of my life, currently sharing a house with a 2 year old sprocker called Mylo. Firefighters as my full time job so have a good amount of time to take dogs for walks when on my days off! I work a 2-2-4 pattern, so 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off, so have ample time to fit in dog walks around my shift pattern. Fully enclosed large garden for dogs to play in, am able to walk dogs alongside my spaniel Mylo. Happy to keep on lead if that is what the owner requests.

About: With lots of hands on experience caring for animals after many years of pet ownership! From owning pets at the age of three, to looking after loved ones' pets and working in wildlife conservation - I am a huge animal lover and have spent nearly my whole life surrounded by them! My experience mostly lies with dogs, cats and rabbits - but also varies from sea turtles to other marine animals! In my background, I have developed a strong knowledge and understanding of animals and their needs. I know how important it is to provide them with attention, companionship, exercise and, most importantly, safety! I am familiar with caring for pets - including feeding, walking, administering basic care, maintaining routines and ensuring they feel comfortable and happy. I am currently a Marine Biology student, who loves nature/animals and will be living at home over the summer, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pets and provide them with bespoke care! I am available on weekdays and at weekends - after 5pm on Saturdays and 1pm on Sundays. My daily routine involves early morning walks/runs in the countryside and often a wild swim, following some afternoon studying and administration. So whether your pet loves being outside and letting off some steam or prefers to stay indoors and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, my schedule is flexible and I will be able to cater to all furry friends! At my home, I have a front gate/porch and a fenced back garden to keep your fur baby safe and secure. Also, I can easily crate your pet if necessary. I do not have any other pets or children present in my home environment, nor is it a busy setting with lots of activity or high noise levels. I believe clear communication is key, as I am aware that each pet is unique and has individual requirements, alongside every owner having personal preferences. I will always do my very best to provide the top level of care for your pet.

I have cared for dogs throughout my career and more recently in my home for family and friends on a casual basis. I am now turning this experience into a more professional offering. I have upskilled my experience recently with an up to date hands on Dog First Aid Course and Diplomas in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, Animal Psychology, Introduction to Animal Care Certificate and Introduction to Kennel Management Certification. I have experience with a huge variety of breeds, ages, temperaments, sizes and characters, including nervous and reactive dogs. I hold a diploma in Pet Psychology, meaning I have a very good knowledge and understanding of canine and feline behaviour. Having a deep understanding of your pet’s needs and behaviours is at the heart of what I do. I am qualified in Canine First Aid and am experienced and confident in providing care to dogs with various medical conditions - such as Diabetes, Heart Conditions, Arthritis, and other issues. I am also fully insured. I currently work part time as a self employed dog walker so have plenty of time to fill looking after your lovely pets! my day to day plans tend to be very dog friendly 🐶 I primarily offer sitting, in your dogs own home. A lot of dogs and owners prefer this as your dog gets to stay in their routine and in the comfort of their own home. I live in a flat with a shared garden so I only take boarding bookings for dogs who would be happy and comfortable in this environment. I also have a cat at home so any boarding customers need to be cat friendly.

About: I’ve looked after a wide range of different dogs with different needs while volunteering at animals rescues. By owning 2 dogs myself one I got as a puppy and my second going into being a senior dog I have experienced both sides of dogs. I have minor knowledge when it comes to pet first aid however I am looking into getting a full certification. When it comes to cats due to having dogs in my home I will not be able to have them here however would love to board at your house to make sure they still have care. I am currently unemployed so I will be able to give my full attention to any pet that someone needs me to. I have many different walking spots and enjoy going on long big walks due to already having dogs I can bend to a dog related schedule. I am very hands on when it comes to my dogs needs giving my older dogs his pills when needed along with going on long walks for my younger dogs I also give them both mental enrichment that includes hiding treats round the garden to promote thier scent enrichment. With my younger dogs I do training on our walks to keep him physically and mentally active

Charlotte was great looking after our boy and we really appreciated the update we got. It was very relaxing to know that he was somewhere safe and cool during the horrible heatwave. He came back very tired so we suspect he had a great time playing with their dog Milo. Many thanks, would highly recommend.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Taunton Deane

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Taunton Deane on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 515 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Taunton Deane. About 88% of Taunton Deane sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Taunton Deane commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
