“Kaitlin has been great, we received regular updates about how the cats were getting on during her daily visits. She kindly disposed of some unwanted gifts/offerings they left, and neither seem too annoyed with us that we went away!”

About: I am a fully insured and qualified professional, having studied animal management level 3. During my studies, I gained experience walking, caring for and training dogs and various other animals. I have been pet sitting for 5 years now and have experience with animals needing medication, specialised care and anxiety. I have two cats myself, and have experience with birds, rabbits, small pets like hamsters and many other animals. I am currently available weekdays as well as weekends so have plenty of time to look after animals as well as check up on them I have experience with different animals and many different needs that they may have and am able to adjust well and see what they may need at anytime.

About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals of all sizes, so being around animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had multiple pets growing up and am very comfortable with different temperaments, routines, and needs. I’ve also pet sat for friends and family on many occasions, looking after dogs and other animals in their homes and making sure they are well cared for and settled. I’m confident, calm, and tend to be the first person to approach and connect with an animal, even if they are shy or unsure. My focus is always on building trust, keeping routines consistent, and making sure animals feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits really well into my daily routine as I currently work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility and time throughout the day. I’m available for walks during the day, as well as drop-ins, and I can offer boarding any day of the week. Having a flexible schedule means I can give dogs consistent attention, regular exercise, and company throughout the day. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so the pet feels safe and settled. I take time to understand their feeding, walking, and comfort needs, and always prioritise calm, attentive care. I’m very respectful of others homes. I make sure things are left clean and tidy, including food areas, floors after walks, and any mess that may happen during the day. I’m mindful of keeping doors, gates, and any house rules exactly as requested, and I always ensure everything is secure and as I found it before leaving. My aim is for both the pet and owner to come home to a calm, clean, and well-cared-for space.

“Thank you Katie for the wonderful care you gave my cat. He needed eye drops which can be a stressful task and you did it effortlessly. You also provided dedicated out of hours care and medication which ensured he had the recommended doses each day for a very painful eye ulcer. When he was hospitalised you sent lovely pictures of him and reassuring updates that he was settled and eating well. Thank you once again for all your excellent care.”

“Julie was great looking after the cats, lots of photos and a great report each day. You can really tell she cares for the animals she is looking after. We would 100% book her again.”

About: Hello 🤗 I recently moved to the UK from the US and, sadly, I haven't been able to bring my cat, Octavia, with me yet. I've had her for about seven years, so really miss having a cat around! I thought pet sitting would be a lovely way to get my "cat fix" as I genuinely enjoy meeting new cats and spending time playing with them (and providing plenty of cuddles). You can be sure your cat(s) would be in very caring and loving hands with me ☺️ I work as a water scientist, and when I'm not travelling for fieldwork, I work from home with a flexible schedule. This allows me to easily fit in cat care throughout the day, including regular feeding, playtime, and check-ins. I'm happy to provide consistent care that follows your cat's usual routine, and can adjust my schedule to accommodate any specific needs or timings. I will always follow your instructions closely to ensure continuity and comfort for your cat. I will provide regular feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, and lots of attention and reassurance. When in your home, I will keep the environment clean and secure, and will any specific routines or rules your cat is used to. If needed, I can also administer medication as directed and keep a log of feeding, toileting, and behaviour if requested.
“Thanks so much again Agata for another lovely visit looking after our cats and birds. Agata is so reliable and kind with her updates and care of our pets. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you so much. I'm sorry you had to clean up sick, poor Peps. I appreciate you checking in on her too. Thankfully she is ok. Just a silly kitty eating her dry food too fast and not eating enough of her wet food. Going forward, she'll get extra dry when I'm away.”

About: I have always grown up around animals and adore them! I’m always looking after friends and family’s dogs and cats. It’s always a pleasure to love, cuddle and care for them as well as having fun playtime 🫶🏻 I’m currently working full time, I am available after work around 6pm onwards and I’m available all day Sunday and Monday for any furry friend needs you may have. I’m unable to care for your pets in my own home due to having dogs around, however I am more than happy to come to you! My partner may come with me from time to time but I will also confirm with you if that’s okay etc 🐶
About: I provide a calm, comforting and loving environment for your dogs! We have two resident dogs (spaniels) but have an enough space to keep the dogs separate if needed. There are no children, cats or other pets in the home. Most importantly we give plenty of cuddles! Your dog will be well looked after alongside our two dogs. We go for daily walks and if I do need to pop out they are never left for long. If dogs cannot be left alone at all then we can usually accommodate for this. It’s just me and my partner, we live in a detached home with a secure garden in a quiet village. We are happy to provide a home-from-home experience so your dog feels relaxed. Although our own dogs are friendly, they will not be left alone with visiting dogs and they are always fed and sleep separately.
“Matt was able to look after my animals - alpacas and chickens - at short notice. We met before I went away so that he knew what was needed and where everything was. Matt ensured that all the animals were fed and watered and the coops cleaned - he even watered my greenhouse plants for me. It was great knowing that I had left the animals in safe hands - Matt sent me a viseo and let me know that all was well by text. I wouldn't hesitate to use Matt again.”

“Edita was very helpful assisting my friend register his cat Hope's microchip in the cat flap! Edita is very flexible and reliable and very good with handling cats and would like to rebook in the future!”

Lucy was fantastic and took very good care of my cat. She was very accommodating and willing to take care of her, especially at reasonably short notice. I was provided with daily updates from her without fail, which gave me peace of mind. She will be the person I use when I need someone to take care of my cat in the future.

Absolutely solid - Angela loved my cats & obviously cared for them extremely well & sent regular updates while I was away. She also watered my plants - a boon in this heatwave. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring cat sitter.

Highly recommend. Cats were all happy and well looked after when we came home. Katie took her time to write lovely reports, play with them and make them feel at ease. She even managed to stroke our notoriously grumpy cat! Will 100% work with Katie again for peace of mind when I go away..

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
