About: Hi, I'm Michael, a lifelong dog owner and dedicated animal lover. I currently share my life with Finn, my Mini Australian Shepherd, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your dog's care, safety, and happiness. Before moving to the UK, I was the go-to dog sitter for friends and family in Texas. Over the years, I cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities, whether that meant daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or simply making sure they felt comfortable while their owners were away. Living with an energetic and intelligent dog like Finn has given me plenty of experience with dogs that need both physical exercise and mental engagement. I know that every dog is different, and I take the time to understand their routine, personality, and individual needs. Whether you're looking for regular walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting, my goal is to provide reliable care and give you complete peace of mind while you're away. I'll treat your dog like one of my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they're doing. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have my own Mini Australian Shepherd, Finn, so I'm used to regular walks, exercise, playtime, and making sure dogs get the attention they need throughout the day. I currently work part-time as a video editor, which gives me flexibility for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. I'm available on most weekdays and weekends, and I do my best to accommodate different schedules whenever possible. Whether your dog needs a quick visit, a long walk, or care while you're away, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Your dog's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each dog's routine, personality, and any special instructions before providing care. Whether I'm walking your dog, visiting your home, or pet sitting, I'll follow your guidance closely to help maintain a familiar and stress-free experience. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important communication is. I'll provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always focus on creating a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for them.
“Kaitlin has been great, we received regular updates about how the cats were getting on during her daily visits. She kindly disposed of some unwanted gifts/offerings they left, and neither seem too annoyed with us that we went away!”

“Katie has been looking after Rambo for the second time and all went smooth, always keeping me updated with foros of Rambo and he seamed very happy too ☺️ thank you for looking after Rambo”

Our little Pumpkin was clearly well cared for, communication was great, and we came home to a happy, relaxed cat. We felt completely reassured and would 100% book again. Thank you so much!”

“Rose is extremely friendly and communicative. She took great care of our cats while we were away for a long weekend and was most helpful in stepping in to look after them at short notice. We especially appreciated getting a good set of photos so we could see the cats having a great time with Rose!”

About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals of all sizes, so being around animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had multiple pets growing up and am very comfortable with different temperaments, routines, and needs. I’ve also pet sat for friends and family on many occasions, looking after dogs and other animals in their homes and making sure they are well cared for and settled. I’m confident, calm, and tend to be the first person to approach and connect with an animal, even if they are shy or unsure. My focus is always on building trust, keeping routines consistent, and making sure animals feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits really well into my daily routine as I currently work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility and time throughout the day. I’m available for walks during the day, as well as drop-ins, and I can offer boarding any day of the week. Having a flexible schedule means I can give dogs consistent attention, regular exercise, and company throughout the day. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so the pet feels safe and settled. I take time to understand their feeding, walking, and comfort needs, and always prioritise calm, attentive care. I’m very respectful of others homes. I make sure things are left clean and tidy, including food areas, floors after walks, and any mess that may happen during the day. I’m mindful of keeping doors, gates, and any house rules exactly as requested, and I always ensure everything is secure and as I found it before leaving. My aim is for both the pet and owner to come home to a calm, clean, and well-cared-for space.

I regularly dog sit for friends over weekends and love taking their dogs out for walks and adventures in the countryside. I enjoy being outdoors and discovering new walking spots, so your dog will get lots of exercise, attention and companionship. I work from home on Mondays, meaning I’m around throughout the day for walks, toilet breaks, feeding and company. Although we don’t currently have pets living with us, our home is very pet friendly and calm, making it a great environment for dogs to feel comfortable and relaxed. I’m available on weekends and love spending time outdoors on long walks and adventures with dogs. Most of my friends have dogs and I love going for Saturday morning coffee and dog walks with them. I booked Oscar for the first time, and I'm so glad I did! I have two challenging cats—one is blind and the other is a little anxious—and Oscar went above and beyond to make sure they were well looked after. He kept me updated throughout, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I would highly recommend Oscar and will definitely be booking him again in the future. Thank you, Oscar—you were amazing!

All good on my return after 1 night. Henry was wet when I returned, which is excellent as it means he felt well enough to go outside through the flap which he hasn't felt able to do for a long time. More than happy to have another book at some stage in the future.
This was the first time we had used a cat sitter so were a little apprehensive. However, Angela impressed from her first visit to introduce herself and to meet our cats. They usually don't like strangers but they were both at ease with Angela who clearly has an affinity with cats. We left feeling confident that the girls would be well cared for, and they were! We received lots of photos and reassuring updates. Whilst the girls were pleased to see us when we returned they had obviously been well cared for. We would not hesitate to ask Angela to sit for the girls again and would confidently recommend her to others.
Victoria haas a very natural and sensible way of interacting with dogs, I had explained that one of my dogs was a rescue and required careful attention, she cam to meet my dogs and I was very impressed with her body language and her calm manner, On the day I received messages to let me know she was there and that the dogs were OK. When we got home the dogs were very happy and the rescue was showing no signs of stress at all. I have never used a service like this before but our usual help was not available and I have to say all my anxiety was for nothing as Victoria did a great job. I will definitely use her again and will recommend her to my grooming clients as well, your dogs will be sage with this lovely lady
We’d never left our dog with anyone before, so we were naturally quite nervous, but Hatty made us feel totally at ease from the very beginning. She was super friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly experienced. She asked all the right questions and really took the time to get to know our dog. While we were away, she sent us regular updates and photos, which made such a difference. It was so reassuring to see how happy and relaxed our dog was—we could tell she was being really well looked after. It’s very clear how much she loves dogs and she really went above and beyond to give our dog her own holiday while we were on ours! When we got home, our dog was calm and content, and everything at the house was just as we left it. You can tell Hatty genuinely cares. We’ve already said we’ll be booking her again next time

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
