About: I'm in my forties and I've taken care of many pets throughout my entire life ranging from cats, dogs, ferrets, rats and more. I walk dogs for friends and neighbors regularly and love them like my own. As I'm not working at the moment I'm able to take and walk pets all week, even in the late evenings. I'd be available from around 8-9am to 11pm. I'm capable to take care of medicated pets by giving medication or even providing first aid. I have experience in grooming and bathing dogs. Energetic and high maintenance dogs are also welcome as I have experience and am happy to walk far and spend hours with them at the park. I prefer to keep dogs on leash when walking them to avoid any risks.
About: After leaving the nursing profession 10 years I set up my own dog walking and boarding business in London and had many regular clients for 8 years. Eventfully I moved up to Northumberland where there was little need for dog day care.... In 2021 I then moved to Somerset and once again have the time to dedicate my time caring for dogs. I am a retired nurse, so any dogs who come for day care or home boarding stay will never be left on their own. I have 2 Maltese terriers, one is 13, the 11. They are well used to other dogs in their home and are very sweet natured... Home from home comfort is offered! I have a large fenced and hedged front an back garden. I have access to some of the loveliest walks in Somerset from the Quantocks to Exmoor.
“Molly looked after my 2 cats over Christmas, she was fab. Good communication and regular updates on how they were doing. They both seemed comfortable with her, which doesn’t happen often as they can be very shy with new people. Would recommend Molly to anyone and happily would use her again!”

About: I have had pets my whole life, with experience caring for family pets and working in a dog rescue. I have also done voluntary work in a veterinary practice. I also love small animals too including rats and mice 🐭! I strive to meet every single need of your pet when they are in my care! 🐶🐱🐾 From September, caring for your pets will be my full-time job. This means all my time will be dedicated in a career I love which is caring for your pets! I have a full DBS, qualifications and more than happy to give references to put your mind at ease! The safety of your pets and your home is my top priority! I will always secure your home at the best of my ability. I also will park my vehicle away from your home to prevent individuals knowing that the owners are not to home!
About: I’ve house sat since I was 18 years old, from sheep to chickens, dogs, cats and horses; I’m very used to caring for all animals and their individual needs. I have a flexible working pattern so I am available to give your pets all the attention and care they require whilst you are away from home I care for the pets in my care as wished by the pet owner so that the pet can remain as happy and settled as possible.
About: About Me Hi! I’m Sophie – a lifelong animal lover with over 8 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I live in a peaceful rural area surrounded by fields, with a secure open garden and a small enclosed one right next to my house. I work from home, so your pets will never be left alone – they’ll be part of the family while they’re here. I share my home with my own friendly crew: 🐾 Kisa, my gentle elderly dog who’s the queen of calm cuddles 🐾 Harley, an older collie mix who still plays like a pup 🐾 Mimi, a sweet 9-month-old kitten (friendly to all – except the local voles 😅) I have experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs and indoor-only cats. I’ve also cared for dogs with complex needs, including those with seizures, deafness, and medication routines (oral meds, injections, eye drops – you name it). I’m happy to accommodate special care and will always work with you to ensure your pets feel safe and loved. I prioritise keeping owners informed and at ease – I know how hard it is to leave your furry family behind, and I treat every animal in my care like one of my own. ❤️ Pet care is part of my everyday routine! I live and work from home, so I’m always around to give the animals in my care plenty of attention, love, and supervision throughout the day. (I work in cimla voluntarily on weekends - can sit in that area) Whether it’s cuddles on the sofa, supervised play in the garden, or peaceful strolls through the nearby fields, your pet’s needs easily fit into my schedule. I’m used to working around feeding times, medication schedules, and different energy levels — from playful pups to snoozy seniors. I structure my day around the pets in my care, not the other way around. I sometimes volunteer on the weekends but that's as and when! Pets in my care are treated like extended pack members from the moment they arrive. I make sure every animal feels safe, respected, and comfortable — whether that means quiet time, playtime, or sticking closely to their usual routine. At my home, I have an open garden surrounded by peaceful countryside, perfect for sniffy walks and fresh air. I also have a smaller enclosed garden right next to the house for potty breaks and supervised outside time. I never leave pets unsupervised outside. Inside, pets have full access to safe, cozy spaces, with comfy spots to relax and regular opportunities for cuddles, enrichment, and play. I supervise all interactions between pets and always follow your preferences regarding routines, feeding, sleeping, and exercise. I have experience with: Administering medication (oral, eye drops, injections) Caring for elderly, deaf, or anxious animals Managing multi-pet households calmly and safely Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, I aim to create a calm, stress-free experience where they feel loved and you feel reassured 🐾

“Our two dogs loved Hannah and were immediately calm and happy in her company which was great. She keeps us update whilst visiting and sends great pics 😊 Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family.”

“Nicola was amazing, went above and beyond to make sure our kittens were well looked after. She sent us daily updates with pictures and even spent time playing with them. Would 100% use her again x”

About: I’ve taken care of two crazy black Labradors since I was 13 years old. I had so much fun teaching them tricks and taking them for swims in the sea. Now I’m at university I miss being around and caring for pets so much and the thing I looked forwards to most about going home is seeing them. I’m currently at Exeter University studying Medicine. Whilst the course is intense I don’t have many in person contact sessions or lectures and so I am able to schedule my studies so that I’ll have lots of free time to dog sitting /walking . In a pet owners home I will make sure I listen and follow any instructions that are given to me by the owner to ensure the safety of the pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
