“Thank you Shelagh and Pete for looking after Wilfred. A really great service and instantly made us feel comfortable and relaxed about leaving our dog for a few days. Great communication, friendly and would recommend to anyone needing their services. Will use again.”

“Tilly has had a wonderful time staying with Jenny for our 2 week holiday. Jenny sent us a photo every morning to let us know what fun they were having :) We wouldn't hesitate to book Jenny for any future holidays. Tilly has come home very happy and content as if we were never away.”

“We kept our 4 legged baby with Liz while we went to Butlins. It was very short notice, and she was very kind to accept to keep him. Neo was well looked after and we got updates from Liz. Thank you so much Liz. Will definitely ask her in future needs. Xx”

“This was Plikchard's second time with Josh and Julie, and I am so pleased I could leave him with them. They are wonderful. They are so patient with Pilchard and very attentive when it comes to following his care nstructions. I loved receiving their updates, and Pilchard has clearly had a fantastic time with them. I can recommend them without hesitation. Thank you so much for taking such kind care of Pilchard!”

About: I'm in my forties and I've taken care of many pets throughout my entire life ranging from cats, dogs, ferrets, rats and more. I walk dogs for friends and neighbors regularly and love them like my own. As I'm not working at the moment I'm able to take and walk pets all week, even in the late evenings. I'd be available from around 8-9am to 11pm. I'm capable to take care of medicated pets by giving medication or even providing first aid. I have experience in grooming and bathing dogs. Energetic and high maintenance dogs are also welcome as I have experience and am happy to walk far and spend hours with them at the park. I prefer to keep dogs on leash when walking them to avoid any risks.
“It was our precious Persephone's first time away from us for more than one night so it was vital that we found the right person to look after her. After meeting Victoria it was clear that we had found the right person. She asked us all the right questions and it was clear that she knew exactly how to make our girl comfortable. This meant that we were able to leave her and not worry while we were at a festival. When we returned to pick Persephone up she'd had a great time and Victoria told us all about everything she had got up to. We would definitely consider leaving Persephone with Victoria again with the knowledge that she would be well looked after.”

“Murad took great care of Hartley & Lilly, they were calm and relaxed when I picked them up. They had lots of cuddles and play time, Murad sent plenty of photos and updates so I felt reassured the whole time, thank you!”

“We could not have asked for a more professional, friendly and experienced sitter for our dog. Communications and expectations were clear and openly discussed. Helen has plenty of outdoor space as well as indoor space for larger, more energetic dogs. I could not recommend her more highly.”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dog, Bramble, received while we were away on holiday! From the moment I dropped her off, I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such capable and loving hands and that she’d have a playmate, gorgeous Buddy to hang out with too!! It was clear right away that Jo truly cares about the animals she looks after. Bramble was given plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and cuddles. We received updates on how she was doing with photos, which really put our minds at ease and let us enjoy our trip without any worry. When we returned, Bramble was relaxed and happy. It honestly felt more like she had a little holiday of her own! Would 100% recommend Jo to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you so much 😊”

“Shelbie and her family took wonderful care of our boy Cosmo with regular updates and pictures left us feeling well assured that he was having loads of fun with them They definitely went above and beyond Thank you again Shelbie so much 🌟”

About: We offer home-from-home holiday boarding in Tiverton, where your dog will be treated as part of our family and receive lots of love, attention, walks and company. We have two children and our own lovely female Cockapoo, so I am currently accepting: 🐾 Female dogs only 🐾 Non-shedding or very low-shedding breeds only 🐾 Friendly, family-friendly dogs 🐾 Holiday/overnight boarding My own Cockapoo is currently not spayed, so for everyone’s comfort and safety I am only accepting female dogs until she has been spayed. “Laura and Fraser were fantastic with Rufus. We met them before Rufus stayed at theirs, and we could see straight away how comfortable and confident they were with him. Communication was regular and informative and gave us great peace of mind during his stay. Have already booked his next 'holiday'! Highly recommended.”

“Quentin and Iris were amazing with Dillon, our bouncy cockapoo. Great communication throughout and real confidence that he was being very well cared for. He was having his own holiday whilst we were away. I'd be very happy for Dillon to stay with this family any time, thank you so much.”

“Jan and Ed had Foxy for the weekend whilst I visited family. Foxy was very well looked after and spoilt :) Jan and Ed were so lovely, kept me up to date with foxy and sent photos! Couldn’t ask for better people to look after my little fur baby! Definitely recommend 🐶🐶”

“Macy took such good care of our little chap I think he misses her. The whole family were welcoming and some enjoyed walks and playtime too. This is obviously a dog loving household. Communication was great and we had lots of pictures and videos clearly showing a very smiley and happy dog. If there was anything that Macy was unsure of she contacted us directly which we appreciated. We would not hesitate to ask Macy to care for our very energetic little terrier again as we know he had an amazing time. Thank you Macy for looking after him as if he were your own.”

“Charlie was very well looked after by Fraser and his wife. She was settled and happy and she appeared to have made herself very much at home and from the photos, enjoyed herself thoroughly. I would definitely recommend using Fraser and we will be booking again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our little girl.”

“Leon spent a full week with Bronte, Sam and their fab dog Teo! Leon was made to feel part of the family and was clearly very comfortable sprawled out on the sofa for cuddles! Plenty of exercise each day and sent regular photos and updates. Bronte was also very helpful when I had to pick him up slightly later. Highly recommended and I’d definitely use again!”

About: After leaving the nursing profession 10 years I set up my own dog walking and boarding business in London and had many regular clients for 8 years. Eventfully I moved up to Northumberland where there was little need for dog day care.... In 2021 I then moved to Somerset and once again have the time to dedicate my time caring for dogs. I am a retired nurse, so any dogs who come for day care or home boarding stay will never be left on their own. I have 2 Maltese terriers, one is 13, the 11. They are well used to other dogs in their home and are very sweet natured... Home from home comfort is offered! I have a large fenced and hedged front an back garden. I have access to some of the loveliest walks in Somerset from the Quantocks to Exmoor.

About: About Me Hi! I’m Sophie – a lifelong animal lover with over 8 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I live in a peaceful rural area surrounded by fields, with a secure open garden and a small enclosed one right next to my house. I work from home, so your pets will never be left alone – they’ll be part of the family while they’re here. I share my home with my own friendly crew: 🐾 Kisa, my gentle elderly dog who’s the queen of calm cuddles 🐾 Harley, an older collie mix who still plays like a pup 🐾 Mimi, a sweet 9-month-old kitten (friendly to all – except the local voles 😅) I have experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs and indoor-only cats. I’ve also cared for dogs with complex needs, including those with seizures, deafness, and medication routines (oral meds, injections, eye drops – you name it). I’m happy to accommodate special care and will always work with you to ensure your pets feel safe and loved. I prioritise keeping owners informed and at ease – I know how hard it is to leave your furry family behind, and I treat every animal in my care like one of my own. ❤️ Pet care is part of my everyday routine! I live and work from home, so I’m always around to give the animals in my care plenty of attention, love, and supervision throughout the day. (I work in cimla voluntarily on weekends - can sit in that area) Whether it’s cuddles on the sofa, supervised play in the garden, or peaceful strolls through the nearby fields, your pet’s needs easily fit into my schedule. I’m used to working around feeding times, medication schedules, and different energy levels — from playful pups to snoozy seniors. I structure my day around the pets in my care, not the other way around. I sometimes volunteer on the weekends but that's as and when! Pets in my care are treated like extended pack members from the moment they arrive. I make sure every animal feels safe, respected, and comfortable — whether that means quiet time, playtime, or sticking closely to their usual routine. At my home, I have an open garden surrounded by peaceful countryside, perfect for sniffy walks and fresh air. I also have a smaller enclosed garden right next to the house for potty breaks and supervised outside time. I never leave pets unsupervised outside. Inside, pets have full access to safe, cozy spaces, with comfy spots to relax and regular opportunities for cuddles, enrichment, and play. I supervise all interactions between pets and always follow your preferences regarding routines, feeding, sleeping, and exercise. I have experience with: Administering medication (oral, eye drops, injections) Caring for elderly, deaf, or anxious animals Managing multi-pet households calmly and safely Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, I aim to create a calm, stress-free experience where they feel loved and you feel reassured 🐾

About: My wife and I have always had pets and have been around animals since a very young age. Together we have had a Dalmatian who lived an amazing 14.5 years, meaning we have experience in tending to senior dogs. We now have an energetic Fox Red Labrador and 2 affectionate cats. We absolutely love animals and will always go out of our way to make sure that they are happy, loved, safe, and well-fed. We're very patient and gentle and understand that every pet is different. My wife and I work from home fulltime so will always be around to spend time with your pet(s). We tend to walk our dog Nancy early in the morning during the week, either through the fields or at the beach. At the weekend we often try to find new places to explore, making sure to avoid the hottest parts of the day. We have a fenced back garden and live in a nice quiet area on the outskirts of Williton, facing fields with horses and passing steam trains in the distance. We have a very friendly dog who loves the company of other dogs and is great at sharing her treats and toys. We have a hose and paddling pool in the garden to help them keep cool in the hotter weather. We also have 2 very easy going cats who come and go as they please. We can have safety gates in place if required, but we would ask that you only book with us if your dog is happy to be around cats. We want your pet to be as happy and comfortable as possible during their stay with us, so please let us know if they have any particular requirements.

“Ralph had a wonderful day with Liz while we had a family day out at Butlins nearby. She had him at short notice, was lovely and friendly and really easy to communicate with. Her own dogs were great company for Ralph. I always think it’s proof of an enjoyable day when he spends the whole evening sprawled out snoozing! Thanks Liz.”

“Paddy had a wonderful stay with Shelagh and her husband Pete. Paddy can get overexcited on meeting new people and had not boarded away from home or stayed with another dog before so we were uncertain how he would react. We needn’t have worried. Shelagh and Pete are very animal aware and felt he’d settle into his new routine. He had an initial two day visit, spent a lovely time running free in the enclosed field, and we returned to collect him finding the two dogs perfectly happy wandering around together. A real success - we instantly booked Paddy for a week’s stay so we could go away on holiday on our own. Very pleased and grateful for Shelagh & Pete’s care.”

“From the meet and greet, it was clear that Helen is a sensible, down-to-earth person who genuinely cares about the dogs in her care. The meeting was relaxed and unhurried, giving Shadow plenty of time to get to know Luna and the other dog staying at the time, as well as allowing plenty of opportunity for questions from both sides. The pre-stay forms were reassuringly thorough, covering all the information Helen would need to ensure Shadow’s needs were fully met. On the day of Shadow’s stay, Helen kept me regularly updated, and it was clear he was having a wonderful time — not only playing with the other dogs, but also, importantly, feeling comfortable enough to relax. It was a very hot day, and Helen did a great job of striking the right balance between giving the dogs enough exercise and keeping them cool. The set-up is fantastic, with plenty of safe indoor and outdoor space for the dogs to roam and relax. 10/10 — I will definitely be booking again!”

“I completely recommend Louise, I felt I could trust her 100% and not only was she great with my dog but she’s a sound person too. I would not hesitate in using Louise again, she is reliable and knows what she is doing”

“Josh took good care of Obi, and was accommodating considering my last minute booking! Obi had a great time on his walk and spending time with other furry guests, which I got updates on regularly. I will definitely be going to josh again!”

“Murad was very helpful and able to help us at short notice. His communication was really good with quick responses. Dickie appeared to have a great stay and he looked really comfortable with Murad and his wife which told me they had looked after well.”

“Momo loved his time with Victoria, she took such great care of him. She kept us updated with lovely photos throughout the day and he clearly very much enjoyed his time there.”

About: ✨ Get £15 off your first booking with code KATIE87093 ✨ Hi, I’m Katie. I’m 38 and live in a small countryside hamlet near Tiverton. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, and that love has stayed with me my whole life. These days my partner and I share our home with four rescue dogs and three cats, so caring for animals is very much part of everyday life. I currently work as an Animal Care Assistant in rescue, supporting dogs with a wide range of needs, and I’m studying for a degree in dog training and behaviour. Before working in rescue, I was a registered nurse, so compassion, reliability, and attention to detail are at the heart of how I care for both people and animals. If you are looking for someone experienced, calm, and genuinely passionate about animals, I would love to help. Dog walking: I offer tailored dog walks around Tiverton and the surrounding countryside. Every dog is different, so walks are adapted to suit their personality, energy level, and health. Some dogs enjoy a relaxed sniffy stroll while others prefer a longer countryside adventure. My aim is always to give dogs safe exercise, enrichment, and a positive experience. I am comfortable working with puppies who are learning about the world, senior dogs who need gentler exercise, anxious or reactive dogs, and dogs with health conditions such as hip dysplasia. Safety, calm handling, and patience are always my priority. Drop in visits / home visits: If your pet is happiest staying in their own environment, I offer 30 minute or longer drop in visits. Visits can include letting dogs out for toilet breaks, feeding and fresh water, playtime and enrichment, litter tray cleaning, administering medication, and plenty of company and reassurance. I am also happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as watering plants, bringing in post, or turning lights on and off. You will always receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are safe and cared for. Dog boarding: I also offer short periods of home boarding for well matched dogs. Dogs staying with us become part of our daily routine and enjoy walks, enrichment, and lots of company. Our own dogs have morning and evening walks, shorter lunchtime enrichment, including plenty of sniffing games and brain work or just playing in the garden! They aren’t a terribly high energy bunch, so they’re just as happy relaxing by the fire with us too. We have a secure fenced garden and visiting dogs are always supervised. Introductions are done gently, often starting with a short walk up the lane so everyone can settle naturally. We are used to supporting nervous or reactive dogs and understand the patience and calm approach they need. Quiet spaces and a separate room are available for dogs who prefer their own area. Other pets: Alongside dogs and cats I have experience caring for many other animals including rabbits, rodents, chickens, exotics, horses, and farm animals. If you have a small menagerie at home that is absolutely fine with me! Qualifications and experience: - Animal Care Assistant in rescue - Former Registered Nurse with a first class degree - BSc Psychology 2:1 including animal behaviour - Dog Training and Behaviour Degree Level 6 - in progress - Experience with international rescue organisations - Fostered dogs and cats with complex needs - Owner of Bark and Bramble natural dog treats - Run Waggy Trails Dog Park - DBS checked and public liability insured - Clean driving licence and vehicle fitted with dog seat belts and crate if needed I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to provide calm, attentive, personalised care. If you would like to chat or arrange a meet and greet, please feel free to send me a message. I would love to hear about your pets and how I can help. Katie x I work in rescue and am currently able to offer early morning or afternoon drop ins on working days, but I can be flexible on days off. I know all animals needs are different and have experience with anxiety and reactivity, so I will always adapt my interactions to suit them. I will care for them exactly as you wish in both my own home and yours - you know them and their needs better than anyone.

About: I've grown up always surrounded by pets. My home always had dog's and cats and i currently am the proud owner of 3 cat's. My oldest cat is now 15 and starting to slow down. I regularly look after my brothers beloved pooch who absolutely loves coming here! Love all animals dearly and studied animal care in college but sadly didn't go down the career path of working with animals. Your pets will be loved and adored and probably quite spoilt in their time in my home. My home is a very sofa and bed friendly house for your fur babies! I work part time so i am able to spend lots of quality time with your pet's. Weekends and all school holidays i am off of work. I will only take on a sitting service if i absolutely have the time for them and know that i will be home (not out for a full day or a festival ect). In my home your pet is allowed to get straight into comfort on my sofa or off upstairs in my bed. If this is something that you would prefer your pet to not do, i can also make sure they stay off. I also have a fully enclosed garden. I own 3 cats but they are easily separated if needs be. If I'm in your home then I'll only do what you have asked me to do. I'm a very tidy person so I'm happy to clean poop trays, food bowls, poop ect.

About: I have grown up taking care of animals and have a wide variety of experience. Personally, I have always owned cats and have been taking care of my neighbour's dogs for the past 11 years. Professionally, I have just completed my veterinary training at the University of Liverpool and have spent the last 5 years learning to care for animals and putting this in practice on placements (both in and out of clinical settings). As a minimum, we complete 38 weeks of placement outside of our studies and the last year and a half of our degree is spent on rotations in veterinary hospitals. I have been trained in small animals (mainly cats, dogs and rabbits), equine and farm species (mostly cows and sheep) but I am mainly interested in working in a small animal veterinary setting when I enter practice. For now, I am taking a year-long break between my studies and entering full time work. Because of this training, I have a good understanding of animal care and behaviour, am capable of reading animals and their cues, can administer medications and notice if a pet is unwell and of course, have a great deal of love for animals! (Let me know if you would like more details of specific experience, I can happily provide this but is quite a long list) I am currently unemployed as I have just graduated after 5 years at university and have decided to take a year long break before I enter into full time work as a veterinarian, and so I am pretty available! From anxious to over-excitable, I make an effort to understand each animal's temperament and interact with them accordingly which usually means we can get on well! I am more than happy to receive information about a pet's personality and likes / dislikes ahead of meeting them. When taking them out for walks, I am open to suggestions on locations, especially if they have favourite routes and will keep them on the lead unless given specific permission otherwise and in an area I deem safe. I understand it is a lot to let a new person care for your pets and enter your home so I am happy to meet (if local and schedules permit) or at very least call with you before starting and keep you updated via phone if you are away so that you have peace of mind. (Also as a proud plant owner myself, I can tend to these while you are away too!)
About: Hi everyone! I have been providing dog walking and house-sitting services for friends and colleagues over the years, and I now have some extra free time and would like to offer my services to more dog owners. I have experience looking after both small and large breeds. Having lived in South Africa, I am very comfortable around larger, more active dogs. I also recently welcomed a Cockerlier called Chloe into my family, so I am equally happy looking after smaller dogs. I am happy to adapt to your dog’s individual needs and to follow the commands, routines and instructions you already use with your pet. I can also help reinforce basic training and teach simple tricks. For more active dogs, I am happy to provide longer walks or even a steady jog if that is what your dog needs. I am based in Taunton but can travel further afield. I am also regularly available around Exeter, where my partner lives. I can offer dog walking on some weekdays and am available for house sitting during most school holidays. If you are looking for someone reliable, active and caring to walk or look after your dog, please feel free to get in touch. Even if you are unsure whether I can cover your area or accommodate your needs, just ask! I am free most school holidays. This is when I'm most likely to be free to help with your pet care needs. Feel free to contact me to check availability especially if you are based in Taunton I am a part-time teacher, so I have some free mornings and afternoons during the week. I am also available for most school holidays and can be quite flexible, so please feel free to get in touch to discuss what you need.
About: I have experience with most breeds of dogs and cats (big and small)! This involves grooming, giving meds to senior felines and canines and weaning puppies from 3 weeks of age! I am also capable of training basic tricks from scratch, especially to younger dogs :) I’ve worked in a Dog Groomers for a few years now which has made me extremely patient meaning I can cope well with all types of temperaments and learnt to respect the boundaries of animals. My friends and family have trusted me plenty of times to walk, feed, bathe and care for their pets overnight, as they know I’ll provide them with updates throughout! I’ve been bonding and caring for my rescue cat since I was 4 years old. She means everything to me and she’s still here 18 years later happy as Larry! Having this strong bond with her has gained me an understanding of how important a pet’s happiness is to their owner, so I’d love to be apart of that whilst you are away! I have a degree in Zoology, but I am currently working as a bunny keeper in birmingham! I normally work Monday-Fridays 9:30am-4:30pm with the occasional weekend day in lieu. Due to this, I am only able to provide evening and weekend services. I’m an active person so my walks can range from 30 minutes to a couple hours depending on the breed and your preference, I’m also capable of walking multiple dogs at a time :) After each drop in, walk or house sit I will ensure your home is left tidy and your pet is left happy! If you need me to crate your pet at any time, just let me know! You will receive regular photo updates of your pets whilst you’re gone if this is of interest to you (I have interest in animal photography so it would be my pleasure!) :)

“Shelbie and her family took wonderful care of our boy Cosmo with regular updates and pictures left us feeling well assured that he was having loads of fun with them They definitely went above and beyond Thank you again Shelbie so much 🌟”

About: My family have always had dogs whilst I was growing up, that I helped take care of. I now have a dog of my own and she is my best friend. I enjoy caring for her like she is my baby and extend my love and care for my animals to every animal I am always committed to providing the best care as shown through my 2 babies and I always have time to extend that care to any other animal. I have a fenced in garden with a very friendly and playful dog who will keep your pets company (if they’re also dog friendly).
“I could tell Izzy had a wonderful time with Rachel as she returned a happy dog and, I am ashamed to say, much cleaner and better groomed than when we left her! Thank you for looking after her so well and for sending the pictures and videos. If I have to go away again I will certainly hope Rachel can take her again.”

“Talita, Neil and Mala are absolutely wonderful. We felt so comfortable leaving Buddy with them. We really appreciated their updates and hearing how well Buddy got on with them. We would be so happy for them to look after Buddy again and would recommend anyone leaving their pup friends with them as they are really attentive and clearly care about looking after your pets so well. Thank you all. Buddy loves having a new great friend.”

“We left Duque, our old dog, with her for 3 days and we are very happy! Good communication, good care, good people! We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their patience and understanding especially because Duque also had health problems! We recommend her!!!❤️ Irina , George and Duque !”

“Mollie took the time to meet us at the park before the stay, to help Cece get acquainted with her. During the stay Cece was well looked after with nice walks and we got regular updates on how she was doing. Very happy and will look to book again!”

“Colin and Melissa were amazing with our big German Shepherd, Solo. Solo got very excited to see them both for his sleepover at theirs, after his first meet and greet a few days prior. He absolutely loved running around in their garden and you could tell that he had been well walked and played with as he slept all evening when he got back to ours! They took our booking on at short notice, being very adhering to our needs. They had great communication with us, from arranging the booking, to giving us Solo updates whilst he was at theirs. Thanks again; we would definitely recommend! ?”

“Absolutely amazing service , really friendly, convenient and Rocky my dog absolutely loved his stay. Met Rachel and her partner a few times over the park to get the dogs used to each other and happy and Rocky (my dog) has really taken to Rachel - lovely environment and absolute must if you need her services. Found my permanent dog sitter :)”

“Jack took great care of my Jac again while we moved house and got settled - Jac looked so happy and chilled for his stay and came back so chilled and happy probably looking forward to his next stay already :-) 🐶”
