“This was our first time leaving Lucca with dog sitters. Being a rescue dog and having had a difficult start to life, we wanted to be sure that we were leaving him with the right people and in the right environment. 4 years it took us to find Talita, Neil and their dog Mala. It was well worth the wait. Lucca and Mala appeared to have a great time together and most importantly plenty of exercise and then time to relax and chill out. The most reassuring thing about this two night stay was the regular photos, videos and updates that were provided over the 3 days. It helped us relax in the knowledge that Lucca was having a fun time and being very well card for. Thank you so much to Talita, Neil and Mala for welcoming Lucca into your home and taking such great care of him.”

About: I'm in my forties and I've taken care of many pets throughout my entire life ranging from cats, dogs, ferrets, rats and more. I walk dogs for friends and neighbors regularly and love them like my own. As I'm not working at the moment I'm able to take and walk pets all week, even in the late evenings. I'd be available from around 8-9am to 11pm. I'm capable to take care of medicated pets by giving medication or even providing first aid. I have experience in grooming and bathing dogs. Energetic and high maintenance dogs are also welcome as I have experience and am happy to walk far and spend hours with them at the park. I prefer to keep dogs on leash when walking them to avoid any risks.

About: I've worked with dogs for many years, I am a qualified dog groomer and am qualified in canine first aid, so rest assured I have you covered. I have 2 dogs of my own a chonzer and a saluki cross, both well mannered. I have a 1.5 year old son and a partner who works full time, there is plenty of love in this household. We have a house with a back garden, so dogs are allowed to roam, water is always available and so is food unless otherwise stated. Walks will be given once every evening. I'm a mum of a child who's nearly 2, other than cleaning my own house i dont have a lot going on, it would be nice to be able to take care of pets and have a small income. Pets will always have access to water and food unless otherwise stated by the owner. They will be walked for 30min - 1 hour every evening spent with me, our garden contains high fences which are 6ft tall meaning the safety of your pet escaping is at a minimum. I am a dog groomer but that will not effect the time spent with your pet because I wont book grooms if your pet is booked inn with me
“We needed somewhere for our 11 year old black lab Blake to stay when our daughter got married in Cullompton Devon. Blake stayed with Jan & Ed from Thursday to Saturday. Jan kept me updated with how Blake was which enabled us to relax & enjoy our daughter’s wedding day without having to worry about Blake. Jan & Ed are such a lovely couple who clearly love dogs & Blake was relaxed & happy when we picked him up on Saturday.He,d had a lovely time🐾🩵 So thank you Jan & Ed for looking after Blake so so well & allowing us to enjoy our special weekend. About: After leaving the nursing profession 10 years I set up my own dog walking and boarding business in London and had many regular clients for 8 years. Eventfully I moved up to Northumberland where there was little need for dog day care.... In 2021 I then moved to Somerset and once again have the time to dedicate my time caring for dogs. I am a retired nurse, so any dogs who come for day care or home boarding stay will never be left on their own. I have 2 Maltese terriers, one is 13, the 11. “Paddy had a wonderful stay with Shelagh and her husband Pete. Paddy can get overexcited on meeting new people and had not boarded away from home or stayed with another dog before so we were uncertain how he would react. We needn’t have worried. Shelagh and Pete are very animal aware and felt he’d settle into his new routine. He had an initial two day visit, spent a lovely time running free in the enclosed field, and we returned to collect him finding the two dogs perfectly happy wandering around together. A real success - we instantly booked Paddy for a week’s stay so we could go away on holiday on our own. Very pleased and grateful for Shelagh & Pete’s care.”

About: Apart from being a professional piano teacher and musician my world is about animal care . I share my home with 3 dogs , 4 cats , 6 horses and 6 sheep , and 1 hamster most being rescued at some. point ! I grew up with dogs and have always had at least 3 dogs to care for and same with cats and horses! I’m experienced with young pups having had several litters myself and elderly dogs needing a loving and caring environment to feel safe . Living on top of Exmoor we have fantastic walks available and I have a large secure garden too ! I work from home apart from one day a week and am there to care for my own animals and yours 24/7. Most importantly your pets need to feel happy and safe and loved in a new unfamiliar environment and they will be welcome as part of the family from the moment they arrive . We truly are a home from home where your pets will be our number one priority . I currently work part time from home and am available to care for your pets 6 days per week with overnight care also . My dogs are never left unattended and they are my priority . I will aim to fit in with your usual pet schedule . My dogs and cats are very friendly and used to having new friends to stay . The dogs ages range from 1.5 yrs to 14 so they adapt well to other dogs . I have a secure garden and lots of space in the house and your dog can have total freedom in the home environment . Walks are taken away from the road and dogs kept on a long lead if preferred . I work from home part time apart from one day away per week and so can devote myself completely to your dogs and my dogs needs . Animals tend to rule the roost here ! I am also capable of training basic tricks from scratch, especially to younger dogs :) I’ve worked in a Dog Groomers for a few years now which has made me extremely patient meaning I can cope well with all types of temperaments and learnt to respect the boundaries of animals. My friends and family have trusted me plenty of times to walk, feed, bathe and care for their pets overnight, as they know I’ll provide them with updates throughout! I’ve been bonding and caring for my rescue cat since I was 4 years old. She means everything to me and she’s still here 18 years later happy as Larry! Having this strong bond with her has gained me an understanding of how important a pet’s happiness is to their owner, so I’d love to be apart of that whilst you are away! I have just graduated from University with a degree in Zoology, but I am now based in Minehead for work, however the rota changes each week. Due to this, I would have to play it by ear on availability but will try my best to work around the hours I do with you! I’m an active person so my walks can range from 30 minutes to a couple hours depending on the breed and your preference, I’m also capable of walking multiple dogs at a time :) After each drop in, walk or house sit I will ensure your home is left tidy and your pet is left happy! If you need me to crate your pet at any time, just let me know! You will receive regular photo updates of your pets whilst you’re gone if this is of interest to you (I have interest in animal photography so it would be my pleasure!) :)

About: I’ve taken care of two crazy black Labradors since I was 13 years old. I had so much fun teaching them tricks and taking them for swims in the sea. Now I’m at university I miss being around and caring for pets so much and the thing I looked forwards to most about going home is seeing them. I’m currently at Exeter University studying Medicine. Whilst the course is intense I don’t have many in person contact sessions or lectures and so I am able to schedule my studies so that I’ll have lots of free time to dog sitting /walking . In a pet owners home I will make sure I listen and follow any instructions that are given to me by the owner to ensure the safety of the pet.
About: Always had dogs in our family, moved out 10 years ago and had my own dog, but after relationship breakdown I no longer have the dog and miss the companionship and caring for a dog, but can’t have my own again at the moment. Being a rescue dog and having had a difficult start to life, we wanted to be sure that we were leaving him with the right people and in the right environment. 4 years it took us to find Talita, Neil and their dog Mala. It was well worth the wait. Lucca and Mala appeared to have a great time together and most importantly plenty of exercise and then time to relax and chill out. The most reassuring thing about this two night stay was the regular photos, videos and updates that were provided over the 3 days. It helped us relax in the knowledge that Lucca was having a fun time and being very well card for. About: I'm in my forties and I've taken care of many pets throughout my entire life ranging from cats, dogs, ferrets, rats and more. I walk dogs for friends and neighbors regularly and love them like my own. As I'm not working at the moment I'm able to take and walk pets all week, even in the late evenings. I'd be available from around 8-9am to 11pm. I'm capable to take care of medicated pets by giving medication or even providing first aid. I have experience in grooming and bathing dogs. Energetic and high maintenance dogs are also welcome as I have experience and am happy to walk far and spend hours with them at the park. I prefer to keep dogs on leash when walking them to avoid any risks.

She was warm and friendly, and loved and cared for Heidi as if she was her own. Communication was excellent - she sent lots of pictures and updates, and responded quickly to messages. When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. She even gave us a tour of her property so that we’d have an idea of where Heidi would be hanging out. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles!
