About: I'm in my forties and I've taken care of many pets throughout my entire life ranging from cats, dogs, ferrets, rats and more. I walk dogs for friends and neighbors regularly and love them like my own. As I'm not working at the moment I'm able to take and walk pets all week, even in the late evenings. I'd be available from around 8-9am to 11pm. I'm capable to take care of medicated pets by giving medication or even providing first aid. I have experience in grooming and bathing dogs. Energetic and high maintenance dogs are also welcome as I have experience and am happy to walk far and spend hours with them at the park. I prefer to keep dogs on leash when walking them to avoid any risks.

About: My wife and I have always had pets and have been around animals since a very young age. Together we have had a Dalmatian who lived an amazing 14.5 years, meaning we have experience in tending to senior dogs. We now have an energetic Fox Red Labrador and 2 affectionate cats. We absolutely love animals and will always go out of our way to make sure that they are happy, loved, safe, and well-fed. We're very patient and gentle and understand that every pet is different. My wife and I work from home fulltime so will always be around to spend time with your pet(s). We tend to walk our dog Nancy early in the morning during the week, either through the fields or at the beach. At the weekend we often try to find new places to explore, making sure to avoid the hottest parts of the day. We have a fenced back garden and live in a nice quiet area on the outskirts of Williton, facing fields with horses and passing steam trains in the distance. We have a very friendly dog who loves the company of other dogs and is great at sharing her treats and toys. We have a hose and paddling pool in the garden to help them keep cool in the hotter weather. We also have 2 very easy going cats who come and go as they please. We can have safety gates in place if required, but we would ask that you only book with us if your dog is happy to be around cats. We want your pet to be as happy and comfortable as possible during their stay with us, so please let us know if they have any particular requirements.

Paddy can get overexcited on meeting new people and had not boarded away from home or stayed with another dog before so we were uncertain how he would react. We needn’t have worried. Shelagh and Pete are very animal aware and felt he’d settle into his new routine. He had an initial two day visit, spent a lovely time running free in the enclosed field, and we returned to collect him finding the two dogs perfectly happy wandering around together. A real success - we instantly booked Paddy for a week’s stay so we could go away on holiday on our own. Very pleased and grateful for Shelagh & Pete’s care.”

About: I recently retired from a 20 year career in the Army before settling back in Taunton with my husband Dave and our 3 children. With excellent communication and organisational skills your bookings and questions are promptly answered and reliable. I am very personable and you will find a friendly and professional welcome. Having always had dogs in my life, I have experience with young puppies, boisterous energetic breeds, shy, nervous and reserved rescues and elderly slower dogs. I have cared for dogs throughout my career and more recently in my home for family and friends on a casual basis. I am now turning this experience into a more professional offering. I have upskilled my experience recently with an up to date hands on Dog First Aid Course and Diplomas in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, Animal Psychology, Introduction to Animal Care Certificate and Introduction to Kennel Management Certification. I am also doing an Introduction to Dog Training, Canine Communication, Pet Nutrition and Grooming courses. Me and Dave both work from home with me having a completely flexible schedule and uninterrupted time to focus on Luna and any of her guest doggy friends. Our home is open to dogs who want constant company, a willing playmate, familiar household surroundings, family activity and above all loving attention. The entire downstairs is open to explore, a large family garden and our own secure paddock with lots of land to investigate. If the facilities at home aren’t sufficient for your dog’s energy we are spoilt for choice by some excellent open countryside, woodland, river, Quantock hills, beaches and green space walks. I am insured and 1st Aid trained. As a family home there may occasionally be small items left out so if your dog may have tendencies to eat household items we may not be suitable.

About: I am a licensed dog boarder no. 041641, I am also a qualified dog groomer and have worked and owned dogs my whole life, Having owned and worked with numerous breeds, I understand that every dog is different. I have completed Canine First Aid course through a local college and have a Pet Sitting qualification. Working from home gives me the freedom to look after your dog and be there a majority of the time, my studio is in my garden, living at the base of the Quantock hills our walks are varied and quiet. I have enhanced DBS check. Dogs that come to stay will be treated as part of the family, every dog is different and their stay with me will be tailored to meet their needs.

About: I own a gorgeous mixed dog breed so have direct experience as well as my childhood home hosting various cats and dogs. I have dealt with heartbreak and pure pleasure. Currently in between jobs so could do with some extra money. Each week I can be flexible. Evenings are also a possibility as well as weekends. I have a modest sized house with sufficient fencing. I live alone. No children. I own a dog myself so I am very aware of what is too much .

These days my partner and I share our home with four rescue dogs and three cats, so caring for animals is very much part of everyday life. I currently work as an Animal Care Assistant in rescue, supporting dogs with a wide range of needs, and I’m studying for a degree in dog training and behaviour. Before working in rescue, I was a registered nurse, so compassion, reliability, and attention to detail are at the heart of how I care for both people and animals. If you are looking for someone experienced, calm, and genuinely passionate about animals, I would love to help. Dog walking: I offer tailored dog walks around Tiverton and the surrounding countryside. Every dog is different, so walks are adapted to suit their personality, energy level, and health. Some dogs enjoy a relaxed sniffy stroll while others prefer a longer countryside adventure. My aim is always to give dogs safe exercise, enrichment, and a positive experience. I am comfortable working with puppies who are learning about the world, senior dogs who need gentler exercise, anxious or reactive dogs, and dogs with health conditions such as hip dysplasia. Safety, calm handling, and patience are always my priority. Drop in visits / home visits: If your pet is happiest staying in their own environment, I offer 30 minute or longer drop in visits. Visits can include letting dogs out for toilet breaks, feeding and fresh water, playtime and enrichment, litter tray cleaning, administering medication, and plenty of company and reassurance. I am also happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as watering plants, bringing in post, or turning lights on and off. Dog boarding: I also offer short periods of home boarding for well matched dogs. Dogs staying with us become part of our daily routine and enjoy walks, enrichment, and lots of company. About: My partner and I have had pets for our whole lives. I have mainly had experience with smaller dogs and cats that crave the attention and love I provide, whereas my partner has experience looking after larger dogs such as staffs, huskies, and german shepherds. We both adore animals and have passion for pets that we rarely get to indulge in. We can't wait to take care of your pet in our home and treat them like our own. We usually wake up around 6am and go to the gym to be back in the house by 8:30. My partner works from home 9-5 whereas I am currently unemployed and have free time all day to look after your pet. If I do for some reason need to leave the house, it will not be for much longer than 2 hours, so your pet will always have someone close by. If morning pick up or drop off is needed, I am very flexible and will move my schedule around to fit your needs. I have an unfenced garden but have anchor points if your pet would like to go in the garden on a lead. I have a little Jack Russel terrier who is calm with any dogs in his presence once he has had a feel for their vibe. We don't have a crate, but we do have the space for one if you would like to bring your own, and we have a bath in which I can bathe your pet and trim or file their nails if you would like (this will cost extra).

About: Hey! I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m currently available for day sitting. I’d love to have some company around the house and give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. I’ve been looking after pets for friends and family for the past 10 years and absolutely love animals of all kinds. I’m also an amateur photographer, so if you're happy with it, I’d love to snap a few cute portraits of your pet while they’re with me! I work full-time, usually from home but with the occasional day in the office, but this is planned well in advance. Typically, I’m available for sitting Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays. I have a small fenced garden, however live right by several parks and some very scenic canal and river walks, so that won’t be a problem!
