About: I’ve taken care of dogs of many breeds and temperaments since the age of 15, including my grandmother's miniature dachshund, Sizzles (age 5). Sizzles has extreme separation anxiety and struggles with walking and eating, which has taught me the importance of patience, love, and understanding when caring for pets with additional needs. I also have experience with highly energetic dogs who need plenty of enrichment, exercise, and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Whether it’s long runs, hikes, or a bit of playtime, I’m happy to provide the activity they need to thrive. I've been trusted by friends and family to look after their pets for long periods and always adapt to each individual's needs. Whether it’s providing a calming presence for anxious dogs or creating a comfortable routine, I prioritise making every pet feel safe, happy, and loved. I currently work remotely so am available all year round and throughout the week. Working alone can get quiet so I love having a fur ball to walk and talk with. As a pet sitter in the owner's home, I focus on maintaining the pet's routine, ensuring they are fed, hydrated, and exercised according to their usual schedule. About: I hold a level 3 qualification in animal care and have also achieved my level 2 in dog grooming. I have three years of formal animal care experience but many more years of being around and loving animals. I'm currently working part-time and also studying, so my best availability will be over school holidays, although I'm usually free evenings and weekends, but I won't accept any bookings if I don't think I'll really be able to dedicate the time to your pet(s). If possible I like to do a visit to your home in advance to meet you and your pet(s), and discuss their needs with you. I will follow any guidance or instructions you give, and of course I'll always make sure to leave the house clean and tidy.

About: Wherever I am, there’s usually a dog in my company. Preferably, several. They make life better! Adopting my pair - William a long haired dachshund, and more recently Dolly, a Cardigan Corgi - has been a brilliant experience, and allowed me to fully appreciate the joy of canine company. During the 7+ years since Will moved in, I’ve looked after other lots of dogs - from dachshunds to jack russells, cockapoos and corgis. Both our dogs are well socialised, and dog sitting is a good way to have fun getting to know new breeds and personalities! Low or medium energy dogs are the best fit here, as Will and Dolly enjoy chilling out at home under a blanket or three, when not running around the park or beach. I’m a writer and illustrator, which gives me the flexibility to welcome dogs into my home and take lunchtime walks and breaks according to what the dogs need. We live within walking distance of Thompson’s and Bute parks in Cardiff, as well as Leckwith and Sanitorium Park so any dog guests in my care will be taken on trips to some of these, as well as beach visits if they're staying for longer. Dinas Powys woods is another favourite walking spot during Spring and Summer. My phone camera is full of dog photography, I'll be happy to try to get some good snaps of your dog too. They’ll be welcomed as part of the family during their stay, and looked after with the same high level of care, attention, exercise and hugs as if they were my own. My day job allows me the time and flexibility for breaks and play, plus I'm happy to fit longer walks into my evenings depending on your dog’s needs. I have a walled garden which is completely secure for small to medium dogs. My dogs plus any guests tend to sleep in my home office during the day, and the living room during the evening. I am used to ensuring my own dogs are safe and secure, with harnesses, leads, and collars that carry their information.

My passion for animals began as a child, and growing up I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by them. Over the years, I've had the privilege of caring for many dogs (of all breeds, shapes, and sizes!), as well as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, donkeys, and more! Walking, feeding, cleaning, day care, boarding, house sitting, and everything in-between. Heidi is a Miniature Dachshund, and I’ve had her since she was a tiny pup (seven years now!), and she and I are pretty much inseparable. She’s my little shadow and every day is a new adventure for us both, whether we're crashing through the waves on Saunton Sands, mooching around the garden centre, or cuddling up in front of the fire - we love it all! We live in a bright and spacious barn conversion, surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Set back off of a quiet, single-track lane, our home is very peaceful and undisturbed by hustle and bustle. When it comes to walkies, the options are endless! There are numerous walking routes and trails on our doorstep, varying in length and terrain. If your dog doesn’t mind journeying in the car, there are dozens of parks, forests, and fields to explore. Not only that, but Dartmoor National Park is just a twenty-minute drive away. I understand how daunting it can be to leave your furry friend in the custody of another human being - often a stranger. I promise I’ll do everything I can to reduce any anxiety and ensure peace of mind, such as clear and consistent communication, and regular updates with photos and videos. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲: Our home is warm, inviting, and spacious - plenty of room for zoomies and tons of cosy spots for a snooze. We have a private garden area which includes a large lawn directly outside the front, plus two patios, and a sizeable gravel yard/driveway. Lots of room to run around! Our outdoor areas are enclosed and private; accessed via a large gate. The hedgerow behind the house isn’t totally secure, so playtime outside will always be supervised. We can also keep your dog on their lead if you’re concerned that they’ll wander or attempt to make a break for it. 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗱𝗶: Because this is Heidi’s home as much as it is mine, at least one meet and greet is required with anyone needing doggy day care or boarding services that involve your pet(s) coming to stay with us. It’s important to me that all of the animals in my care are happy and comfortable, both in my presence and each other's. Heidi’s a lovely little dog who adores people, and once she’s gotten to know them, enjoys the company of other dogs too. She was well socialised from birth but sadly, Heidi was attacked by three other dogs when she was 3 years old. Unfortunately, she’s never fully recovered from this incident; it knocked her confidence and has since made it a little more difficult for her to make friends. We’d love nothing more than to find her some friendly pals to play and chill out with. Ones that can help her to feel relaxed in the company of other dogs, and give her the confidence boost she desperately needs. Saying that, we understand that not every animal will be comfortable in Heidi’s company. If your pet would prefer a Heidi-free setting, please do reach out to me. I can’t guarantee it but in most instances, we should be able to make alternative arrangements for Heidi to stay elsewhere during your pet's booking. About: I've been caring for dogs and other animals pretty much all of my life. My grandma used to breed Newfoundlands so I was always helping with her gentle giants! From walking and grooming to playing and meal times. I've never not had a dog in my life and they truly do make your life a million times better. When I was 10 we got my best friend, a little whippet puppy who was just the best! We sadly lost him at the ripe age of 12 at the end of last year. It's so important to take extra care of them when they become old and fragile and having to change certain aspects of their life so they don't get down about the things they can't do anymore. I've had the pleasure of getting to know all different breeds and their personalities from Huskies to Dachshunds and Spaniels, Whippets, Staffies, Pocket bullies, xl bullies, Retrievers and Newfoundlands. We have a 7 month old pocket bully and she has to be one of the funniest and loving dogs we've ever had. Before we got her of course we did alot of research and she is such a well behaved girl. It's important that the training starts from the day you get them and I feel that if someone's dog isn't properly trained then they aren't going to know how to deal with someone elses. I adore all dogs and always treat them like they're a part of the family! I'm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to do what I love most which is being with animals. I also travel to Cornwall atleast once a week so I am very flexible on where I can go too! I plan on mostly doing home visits and or walks. I will ask lots of questions for example using treats etc and asking about allergies. Everyone and every dog is different so it's tailoring every experience to suit the dog and owner so everyone is happy. I know it takes a lot of trust to allow someone into your home and or to take your dog for a walk so I will be making sure I know as much as possible and listening to every word the owner says!

About: I have always loved caring for animals. I have always had pets growing up, and even now have family pets. I have experience caring for cats and dogs while also caring for young children and children with additional needs as a part time nanny. I have looked after family members pets in their home for 2 weeks+ while they have been on holiday. I enjoy walking/hiking and visiting many different places and love to take the dogs with me to let them have a proper run and socialise on beaches, fields and costal walls. I have been to puppy training classes with my own dogs when they were puppies and have picked up training techniques and tricks which I think help a lot when building a relationship when meeting new pets and building a trusted bond. I do work full time from Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm, however, I am available weekends and evenings if required for pet sitting or dog walking.
