Dog Walking in North Devon

About: I’ve had my dog since I was 7 years old, I’ve looked after him ever since, walking him regularly, feeding him, giving him water and washing him. From September 2023-July 2024 I did animal care (level 1) but I was working with the animals and doing health checks on them regularly, this includes dogs, and other animals. Alongside this course I did dog grooming where I worked for about 3-4 months as a volunteer as a part of my course. Well at the moment I’m actually doing a dog grooming course (once a week 9-5) and look after my dog when I’m at home as well as hopefully now looking after others dogs/animals. In my home, I take my dog on walks regularly, feed him every day in the evening and if he’s got a lot of energy and needs to run, as I can’t let him off the lead, I let him off I let him in the garden and throw a toy for him until he’s tired. In an owners home if I’m looking after their dog overnight or even just during the day, if they get fed at specific times, get walked at specific times ect I will set reminders on my phone for each thing to ensure I never loose track.

About: I worked as the assistant training and behaviour advisor for the Dogs Trust for nearly 10 years. My passion is dogs! I love getting to know new dogs and all their quirks! I specialise in reactive dogs, whether that be to dogs, people, traffic or birds! The only thing I ask is the dog can be left as I have regular walkers 🐾 I work part time as a dog walker but I still have plenty of time for walks/play/training. I will provide 1 morning walk (45-60mins) then again in the afternoon/evening. I only care for the dog in your home so they are in their safe place and your home is looked after too! About: I offer dog sitting/walking/drop in play visits as well as night stays for when you go away on holiday for any pet you have. I have looked after other people's cats and dogs my whole life and have volunteered at Dogs Trust in my teenage years. I love all animals and am at my happiest when in their company. I love the outdoors and have a boundless energy - its like your dog will be taking me for the walk... but can be calm and assertive when needed. Your dog will get the walk of its life every single time and every second will be spent making sure he/she is enjoying themselves. I am so lucky to be able to make a modest income doing what I would do for free if I could!

About: Having grown up with cats myself and having two of my own pets, I have had a great deal of experience in looking after animals. For many years I have also looked after pets for friends and family which has included administering medication and dental paste, as well as the usual feeding and cleaning rituals. I have also walked dogs for other pet owners in the past and have loved engaging with the animals and the interaction that this brings. I am also happy to brush and groom your pet/s if this is preferred and will also maintain an impeccable level of cleanliness and hygiene when visiting your home to take care of your pet. As well as the practical level of care that I provide for animals, I am a firm believer in providing affection and close contact with pets, especially as they will miss their owners whilst being away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how one can miss their pet whilst away and I’d be more than happy to provide daily regular updates and photos and/or videos of your pet whilst you are away. I will always maintain your pet is in excellent hands and you will return to a happy and a calm pet upon the return of your trip. My hours on a weekly basis are flexible and I will be able to carry out morning and evening visits including weekends as well as during the week. As I have two of my own pets I will only be able to take care of your pet/s within your own home. I will ensure that I follow all security procedures. For example, I will always keep windows closed and will keep doors locked/ closed when visiting and leaving your property. Please let me know if there are any alarms that need to be set or turned on/off during the visits. If you have a house cat which does not roam outdoors, then I will strictly adhere to keeping your cat securely indoors. If I am walking your dog, then I will always keep the dog on a leash. If there are any medical concerns, then I will contact both yourself and the registered vet, and so I would need the details of the veterinary surgery.

About: I'm a qualified dog walker and pet sitter. I have qualified in level 2 animal care, level 2 vet nursing and level 3 pet first aid. I have grown up with a variety of different types of pets. I have been working with dogs for the last 8 years. I work with your pets during the day and then I have an evening job that is 3 hours and not related to animals. The evening job is near my home, so I will only do it if I'm on local sits. I will put your dogs in a crate or a safe room in the house, if I'm going out to the shops. I make sure outside space is safe for your pet.

I've always grown up with dogs and animal's since I was little and at 13 was a key help in training and caring for my collie. Since then I have grown up with him and realised just how incredible dogs are, and how lucky we are to have them. My collie Rusty passed away in 2020, since then a big part of me was taken too. I miss him dearly and miss in general a dogs presence you can be assured your dog would be so loved and cared for by me, and have lots of fun! I know how special they are, and that they are a part of the family. Tim - Hi, I'm Tim! I have been with Leah for 5 years now, during this time I had bonded heavily with her dog Rusty, realising how much a part of the family they are. I have always been a heavy animal lover. I have many pets myself ranging from fish to python to rabbits. Throughout my life I have grown up caring and looking after animals, anything from hurt hedgehogs to bats. This is something instilled in me by my family. I would love to look after and care for your dog. As with my life situation at this time I am unable to have one of my own. Look forward to hearing from you! I am currently busy monday-friday but can be available at weekends Saturday or Sunday. On these days I could be available earliest 10am and onwards throughout the day. This does not apply to myself, as I am not able to have pets stay with me at my home unfortunately. About: Animals have always been a big part of my life having owned cats and dogs, (cocker spaniels and a German short haired pointer), and helping on local friends small holdings. I have also been a volunteer dog walker for 10 years with the cinnamon trust (an amazing charity for the elderly). Currently I don't own any pets, so am in a position to be able to give your pet the attention and care it needs. I completely understand also how nerve-racking it can be entrusting your family member to a new person but with meeting and talking before, I hope I can put you and your pet/s at ease. I currently work from home but am flexible in my hours so i am able to give your pet the care, attention and exercise they need, based on their routines and your wishes. I live in a detached house with a fenced garden enabling them to access this whenever required. I also live close to various walks including the beach, fields and parks so can give them the exercise they require based on their need. Within my home there are no other pets so they would get full attention. They would also be allowed on the furniture (if you say this is alright....).

About: I have had dogs all my life from small dogs to medium sized dogs I have fed them given them water bathed them and walked them and if your fur baby gets all dirty I would take them to the bathroom and give them a bath and give them a nice warm bath they would be really nice and clean and I have got a dog and had dogs all my life time when I was growing up so I love dogs I’m also a very happy person and I’m also a kind caring person that would be very happy to look after your fur baby’s I don’t work so I’m always around and available for your fur baby and I will always take good care of them like you do plus I will always be there for them and take good care of them I have had dog’s all my life We have a closed in garden so will keep your fur baby safe and sound when in the back garden and if needed have a crate for your fur baby to keep safe or needs a sleep we will all so give your fur baby a nice cuddle and plenty of walks.next to me or my wife on the sofa and they will get a lot of attention from me

About: I've been caring for dogs and other animals pretty much all of my life. My grandma used to breed Newfoundlands so I was always helping with her gentle giants! From walking and grooming to playing and meal times. I've never not had a dog in my life and they truly do make your life a million times better. When I was 10 we got my best friend, a little whippet puppy who was just the best! We sadly lost him at the ripe age of 12 at the end of last year. It's so important to take extra care of them when they become old and fragile and having to change certain aspects of their life so they don't get down about the things they can't do anymore. I've had the pleasure of getting to know all different breeds and their personalities from Huskies to Dachshunds and Spaniels, Whippets, Staffies, Pocket bullies, xl bullies, Retrievers and Newfoundlands. We have a 7 month old pocket bully and she has to be one of the funniest and loving dogs we've ever had. Before we got her of course we did alot of research and she is such a well behaved girl. It's important that the training starts from the day you get them and I feel that if someone's dog isn't properly trained then they aren't going to know how to deal with someone elses. I adore all dogs and always treat them like they're a part of the family! I'm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to do what I love most which is being with animals. I also travel to Cornwall atleast once a week so I am very flexible on where I can go too! I plan on mostly doing home visits and or walks. I will ask lots of questions for example using treats etc and asking about allergies. Everyone and every dog is different so it's tailoring every experience to suit the dog and owner so everyone is happy. I know it takes a lot of trust to allow someone into your home and or to take your dog for a walk so I will be making sure I know as much as possible and listening to every word the owner says!

About: I am passionate about working with dogs, and I’m an experienced dog walker / sitter. I have volunteered in Dog sanctuaries across Europe and Africa, dealing with dogs of all different breeds, ages and health conditions. I have a full, clean drivers license and own my own car! I work as a freelance Animator out of my studio in Penryn. As I work for myself I am able to structure my days around my animal care commitments, which take priority when scheduling my calendar. I believe it is a big responsibility taking care of someones beloved pet, and I treat animals and other peoples homes with the utmost respect. I am very adaptable and understand that all animals are different and need different sorts of care. I am an excellent communicator, and will work with the owner to provide the best care possible for each pet.
