I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, and that love has stayed with me my whole life. These days my partner and I share our home with four rescue dogs and three cats, so caring for animals is very much part of everyday life. I currently work as an Animal Care Assistant in rescue, supporting dogs with a wide range of needs, and I’m studying for a degree in dog training and behaviour. Before working in rescue, I was a registered nurse, so compassion, reliability, and attention to detail are at the heart of how I care for both people and animals. If you are looking for someone experienced, calm, and genuinely passionate about animals, I would love to help. Dog walking: I offer tailored dog walks around Tiverton and the surrounding countryside. Every dog is different, so walks are adapted to suit their personality, energy level, and health. Some dogs enjoy a relaxed sniffy stroll while others prefer a longer countryside adventure. My aim is always to give dogs safe exercise, enrichment, and a positive experience. I am comfortable working with puppies who are learning about the world, senior dogs who need gentler exercise, anxious or reactive dogs, and dogs with health conditions such as hip dysplasia. Safety, calm handling, and patience are always my priority. Drop in visits / home visits: If your pet is happiest staying in their own environment, I offer 30 minute or longer drop in visits. Visits can include letting dogs out for toilet breaks, feeding and fresh water, playtime and enrichment, litter tray cleaning, administering medication, and plenty of company and reassurance. I am also happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as watering plants, bringing in post, or turning lights on and off. You will always receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are safe and cared for. Dog boarding: I also offer short periods of home boarding for well matched dogs. Dogs staying with us become part of our daily routine and enjoy walks, enrichment, and lots of company. Our own dogs have morning and evening walks, shorter lunchtime enrichment, including plenty of sniffing games and brain work or just playing in the garden! They aren’t a terribly high energy bunch, so they’re just as happy relaxing by the fire with us too. We have a secure fenced garden and visiting dogs are always supervised. Introductions are done gently, often starting with a short walk up the lane so everyone can settle naturally. We are used to supporting nervous or reactive dogs and understand the patience and calm approach they need. Quiet spaces and a separate room are available for dogs who prefer their own area. About: As well as being very actively involved in the care of my families dogs ever since I was very young, I have looked after plenty of friends dogs too. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments in both cities and the countryside. I prioritise being extra safe and present when I'm caring for an animal which ensures any dog in my care is relaxed and happy. Ultimately I'm completely dog obsessed and take the responsibility of looking after any dog, be it my own or someone else's, very seriously (but not seriously enough that we don't also have loads of fun!!) I am currently a freelance graphic designer working from home meaning I have a VERY flexible schedule and really the perfect set up for taking care of dogs. As of right now I am available all week with no real time constraints. Note- from 29/04 - 20/05 and 03/06-24/06 I will be unavailable on Wednesday until 2pm. I have a lovely fenced medium-large garden with lots of plants, trees and interesting bits for dogs to explore (aka not a rectangle of flat grass!). My dogs spend lots of time outside sunbathing and playing. I have two beddlington-whippet girls at home, one is 5 the other is 10. The older isn't particularly interested in other dogs at all, happy to keep to herself. The other LOVES other dogs, she's a fantastic play mate.

About: Always had dogs in our family, moved out 10 years ago and had my own dog, but after relationship breakdown I no longer have the dog and miss the companionship and caring for a dog, but can’t have my own again at the moment. About: I've always grown up with dogs and am a dog mum of own, I am passionate about looking after and caring for dogs, horses! I love being outside and exploring places. About: Hi! My name is Abbie. I have worked in the emergency services for over 7 years. However my passion has always been animals. I have had dogs for over ten years and currently have two dogs (Bear and Leo) who are both rescues and at times both come with their challenges 😂 I am a very outdoorsy person, I am forever trying to find new places to walk my pooches and explore. I am available to house sit, take your dogs out on big days out (with or without my pooches) or just popping in and spending some time with them. About: My family got our first dog at aged 10, and our second when I was 17. I have cared for them both since they were puppies- teaching them to wait for food, fetch, lie down and even high five! As my first dog got older, I learnt how to be respectful of him as he didn't want to be played with all the time and was slightly more temperamental. This taught me to be patient and how to be around older dogs. Our second dog is a playful cocker spaniel with bundles of energy, always wanting to go on walks, which I am of course happy to do! I can therefore care for dogs of all ages and of many different natures as each one is unique and special in their own way. I am available anytime between 22nd July and 1st September. If I am unavailable, my sister can usually cover bookings- she is a Uni student studying animal science and bioveterinary course so has lots of experience with animals! I am able to do house visits and am happy to feed, play with or even just sit with the dog to keep them company! I can have pets in my home, but only if they get on with other dogs and small animals. I can do a whole day visit, a quick stop in, or I can take them on walks. I will send pupdates throughout the day of your fur babies so you don't have to stress while you're away from home!

About: I have had dogs all my life from small dogs to medium sized dogs I have fed them given them water bathed them and walked them and if your fur baby gets all dirty I would take them to the bathroom and give them a bath and give them a nice warm bath they would be really nice and clean and I have got a dog and had dogs all my life time when I was growing up so I love dogs I’m also a very happy person and I’m also a kind caring person that would be very happy to look after your fur baby’s I don’t work so I’m always around and available for your fur baby and I will always take good care of them like you do plus I will always be there for them and take good care of them I have had dog’s all my life We have a closed in garden so will keep your fur baby safe and sound when in the back garden and if needed have a crate for your fur baby to keep safe or needs a sleep we will all so give your fur baby a nice cuddle and plenty of walks.next to me or my wife on the sofa and they will get a lot of attention from me

About: I’ve had pets within my home my whole life, not just dogs but a litter of kittens, hamsters, rabbits and Guinea pigs. I’ve helped friends and neighbours in Devon since I was about 14 with pet care. After working as a nanny in Brighton for 6 years I’ve moved back home to Devon to be nearer family. I am currently doing free lance photography and ad hoc nannying I have a large flat, my garden isn’t the biggest it’s a medium sized one but I live near the quay so there’s lots of lovely surrounding walks.

About: I’ve taken care of two crazy black Labradors since I was 13 years old. I had so much fun teaching them tricks and taking them for swims in the sea. Now I’m at university I miss being around and caring for pets so much and the thing I looked forwards to most about going home is seeing them. I’m currently at Exeter University studying Medicine. Whilst the course is intense I don’t have many in person contact sessions or lectures and so I am able to schedule my studies so that I’ll have lots of free time to dog sitting /walking .
