“Truffle enjoyed Tahni’s company and was very well taken care of. Tahni was punctual, well prepared for taking dogs out and also established rapport with our spinone straight away. Definitely will use Tahni’s help again.”

About: Hello dog lovers! I am a massive dog lover they are like children to me, I have 2 jacks and have had animals all my life. I have been to see some kennels as I needed my lovely dogs to be looked after whilst on holiday and was shocked to see what they were like. I thought to myself why not look after dogs myself to help other dog lovers have a loving, friendly, cosy and warm place to stay for their dogs. They would be able to have a lounge with sofa and TV to watch also a big garden to play in. I have 3 children and a husband who also has grown up with dogs. I have lived in Honiton all my life.
About: I’m a massive animal lover and am a proud owner of two gorgeous cats, Ruby and Oscar- both adopted from unkind homes (Oscar was terrified to begin with and would pee everywhere for months and Ruby was hissing constantly & very scared. Now Oscar’s toileting troubles are under control and he’s growing in confidence day by day and Ruby is the most outgoing friendly cat I’ve ever met introduces herself to all!), and a lovely senior rescue dog from Bulgaria named Rosa. Rosa is dog mad gets so happy any time she sees one she breaks out of her anxious shell that her past has given her (she was previously used for breeding in Bulgaria kept on a chain and then dumped on a rubbish pile once they found out she had a mammary tumour poor thing). The cats are also fairly used to dogs as we’ve fostered a very bouncy collie shepherd rescue before as well as a Labrador puppy. We've also had or looked after small animals such as guinea pigs (I’ve had up to 30 in total but don’t anymore, used to rescue them) , rats (have only had female rats personally), hamsters (Syrians and Russian dwarfs) and have minor experience with reptiles & insects like bearded dragon and stick insects and am happy to care for any animal with the right instructions! I’m capable of bathing any pet that requires it, I can also carry out nail trims for guinea pigs as this is something I had to do a lot when I was rescuing them. I usually work in an early years setting with young children but during the holidays off all I’m doing is planning for my wedding (exciting I know!!) so have plenty of time to care for any pet that needs it! I’m happy to take on multiple and can come to your home if needed but due to my own pets I’d rather it be my own home however this is something I’m more than happy to discuss! I love walking and playing with dogs and cats too! Big or small doesn’t bother me! I have a fully enclosed fenced back garden to keep your pet safe. I have a two calm yet playful dogs and two cats to keep your pet company. I’m happy to adapt to your pet whatever their needs are. I live near the honiton bottom estuary so they’re are plenty of nice walks and am familiar with many areas in Devon and Cornwall! I’m pretty flexible at the moment but rest assured whatever is decided all I want just like you is for your pet to feel safe and comfortable and you feel at ease about it. More than happy to arrange meet and greets to get to know each other or go on dog walks together previously.
About: I have grown up in a household with both cats and dogs, so I am very comfortable caring for pets with a range of personalities and needs. I have also provided dog-sitting and cat-sitting for friends and family on many occasions. I am an active person who enjoys walking and regularly goes hiking on Dartmoor and in the Blackdown Hills. I would therefore be very happy to care for dogs that need longer walks, plenty of exercise, or a more energetic routine. I am currently a university student and will be available throughout the summer after finishing my studies at the beginning of June. When I return to university in October, I will receive my timetable in advance, allowing me to plan pet-sitting bookings around my schedule and provide plenty of notice regarding my availability. I have access to a 4x4 vehicle and can safely transport dogs using a crate where required. As a student paramedic with previous experience in the ambulance service, I have completed advanced driving training and understand the importance of safety, responsibility, and reliability. I will always treat your pets with the same level of care and attention that I would expect for my own.
About: I have extensive experience working with a variety of household pets, both through personal pet ownership and by caring for animals belonging to friends and family. From a young age, I grew up around cats, dogs, rabbits, and hamsters, developing a deep connection and understanding of their needs and behaviors. For 15 years, I owned and cared for my Bearded Collie, Harry, from puppyhood until she sadly passed. At two years old, Harry was diagnosed with Addison’s disease, and I gained valuable experience administering daily medications and managing her condition. Due to her hypersensitivity to noise, I also took her through special training to ensure she was calm during walks, particularly since we lived near an airport. This experience helped me develop strong skills in managing dogs with specific behavioral and medical needs. In addition to my own dog, I frequently care for Spencer, my daughter’s Springer Spaniel, and regularly dog sit for Billy, my ex-neighbor’s mixed breed, and my befriendees dogs Lily and Bella. I also take care of friends' and family members’ cats when they are away. This varied experience has given me a practical understanding of different pet temperaments, routines, and care requirements. My hands-on experience extends beyond just dogs. I've become adept at managing multiple pets, adjusting to their individual personalities, and ensuring they feel comfortable and safe in my care. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and attentiveness when looking after animals, skills that are essential for providing top-quality care as a Rover dog walker and sitter. As a Rover dog walker and sitter, I understand the importance of trust, reliability, and communication with pet owners. I am highly organized, ensuring that pets’ needs—whether exercise, feeding, or medication—are met on time, and I make sure to keep owners updated with regular messages and photos for peace of mind while they are away. Additionally, my professional background in project management and communication, including roles where I led teams and managed clients, has sharpened my organizational skills and attention to detail. These qualities allow me to confidently handle schedules, keep track of multiple pets’ needs, and manage any unexpected situations that might arise during a walk or sitting session. I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care to every pet I work with, ensuring that both pets and their owners feel comfortable, supported, and happy with the service I provide. I am flexible and can look after your pet weekdays, evenings, weekends and for longer periods of time. Therefore you can hire me for recurring services like dog walking, day care or scheduled drop in visits I can house sit whilst you are away or you can bring your pet to my home for overnight care. I will meet your expectations, routines and house rules and respect your space. I can show you my house and where your pets are allowed. I have areas of garden to front and back too, some enclosed. I will keep you updated with photographs and messages if you'd like.
About: As well as being very actively involved in the care of my families dogs ever since I was very young, I have looked after plenty of friends dogs too. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments in both cities and the countryside. I prioritise being extra safe and present when I'm caring for an animal which ensures any dog in my care is relaxed and happy. Ultimately I'm completely dog obsessed and take the responsibility of looking after any dog, be it my own or someone else's, very seriously (but not seriously enough that we don't also have loads of fun!!) I am currently a freelance graphic designer working from home meaning I have a VERY flexible schedule and really the perfect set up for taking care of dogs. As of right now I am available all week with no real time constraints. Note- from 29/04 - 20/05 and 03/06-24/06 I will be unavailable on Wednesday until 2pm. I have a lovely fenced medium-large garden with lots of plants, trees and interesting bits for dogs to explore (aka not a rectangle of flat grass!). My dogs spend lots of time outside sunbathing and playing. I have two beddlington-whippet girls at home, one is 5 the other is 10. The older isn't particularly interested in other dogs at all, happy to keep to herself. The other LOVES other dogs, she's a fantastic play mate.
“Reggie had another 2 amazing walks. He’s clearly very pleased & excited to see Debbie , Richard & daughter & so makes the task of handing him over so much easier. He has found a second home/family. Happy dog. 😀”

About: Ever since I was 5 years old, dogs were a part of my life. My first dog followed my mother and I back home from town centre where we've adopted her (a little black sausage). I also helped my dad with 2 of his German Shepherds. At the age of 9 I started "working" and helping a privately owned animal rescue where I would care for the kennels, take dogs on walks and help in rehoming them. One day we've rescued 6 puppies and their mother from a man who tried to drown and stab them, that's how I met Axel - my beautiful Lab cross Spaniel who lived to be 13 years old and full of life and experiences. I promise you to take the best care of your pup and maybe even teach them a few tricks. Hire me now. I currently work full-time but looking to pursue something that aligns with my values and passions. Current availability are Mondays and Sundays with evenings during the week. I take small steps at first to ease the dog into any new environment. First walks will always be on a leash but with plenty of freedom and exercise. I will always match your dog's energy so you can rest assured that he/she is well looked after.

About: Love being around dogs, big or small! Have two dachshunds of my own and I love how all dogs have different characters! Playing with them and interacting I currently work 8-6. Thursdays Saturdays and Sundays off.. if during the week they would have to be ok with being left. Weekends I can be there most if not all day I give your pets my full attention, to whatever there needs require! I like to keep them entertained and burn off some of that energy they may have!
“Sean is friendly and professional, and our labrador loved him right away. It's clear when meeting Sean that he cares about the animals he works with. We are thrilled to have found someone we feel we can trust with our dog.”

About: I’m starting up my own little business for dog walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits. I’m currently doing courses for my qualifications in first aid and animal behaviour. I am also currently sorting my insurance so you know your furry friends are in great care. I’m still currently working a part-time job as a Waitress as I see how my little business goes and then if all goes well, I will be doing this full time. I’m currently not offering services for my own home due to the fact I have a dog and cat myself and a big family! However, I am able to come to your homes and I do an initial free meet and greet so we can all meet each other and discuss what’s best for you and your companion.
“Rhianon has been dog sitting at our house for nearly two years. She is amazing! Teddy adores her and I’m sure he is sad when we come home. He gets the best walks and exercise. She also looks after our indoor rabbit. We always get pics of Teddy while we are away and nothing is ever to much trouble if Rhianon has been there while we have had workmen in or parcels delivered. The house is always immaculate when we come home. HIGHLY recommend!”

“Hannah was excellent. We booked her for the second time and everything was again perfect. She gave a walk to Frey (our Siberian Husky). Frey was very happy to see her. She arrived on time and managed to walk our little Husky puppy in some areas where he never went which is not an easy task. We recommend Hannah and we will definitely book her in the future.”
