“This was the first time we left our Parsons Russell Terriers Tess and Elsie with Colin and his family. We have recently moved and were looking for local kennels when I came across this home from home option. Our girls have both returned home very settled which makes me think they had a very nice time there! Colin is very professional, making sure he had all their feeding habits etc. and we had a meet and greet to make sure everybody was happy before committing to the booking. Our girls are getting older so knowing they had the comfort of being in someone’s home was reassuring for us whilst we were away.”

They are very friendly and welcomed Maisey into their home I was slightly worried about Maisey as I had to take her to the vets a few days before her stay due to an ear infection but Paige made sure that Maisey was comfortable and cared for her so well. She responded to my communication quickly and sent photos to put me at ease. Leo, the Goldie, was the perfect playmate for Maisey. About: I’ve taken care of two crazy black Labradors since I was 13 years old. I had so much fun teaching them tricks and taking them for swims in the sea. Now I’m at university I miss being around and caring for pets so much and the thing I looked forwards to most about going home is seeing them. I’m currently at Exeter University studying Medicine. Whilst the course is intense I don’t have many in person contact sessions or lectures and so I am able to schedule my studies so that I’ll have lots of free time to dog sitting /walking . About: I’ve had pets within my home my whole life, not just dogs but a litter of kittens, hamsters, rabbits and Guinea pigs. About: I’m a massive animal lover and am a proud owner of two gorgeous cats, Ruby and Oscar - both previously from unkind homes but now thriving, and a lovely senior rescue dog from Bulgaria named Rosa who was also previously mistreated. Rosa is dog mad any time she sees one she breaks out of her anxious shell that her past has given her and is very happy straight away. The cats are also fairly used to dogs as we’ve fostered a very bouncy collie shepherd rescue before as well as a Labrador puppy. I think Ruby occasionally thinks she is a dog and will sometimes try to play with them whereas Oscar is a little more skittish. We live around lots of cats so they’re not bothered by them! We've also had or looked after small animals such as guinea pigs, rats, hamsters and have minor experience with reptiles & insects like bearded dragon and stick insects and am happy to care for any animal with the right instructions!

About: I've grown up with a variety of pets my whole life and have always been an immense animal lover! Because of this, I am often relied on by friends and family to look after their fur-babies whilst they are away and also have lots of experience house-sitting. I'm at my happiest when I'm around dogs and animals and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I own my own home so I'm therefore very responsible and respectful of whoever's home I'm staying in. I will be sure to follow your instructions regarding pet care and certain things around the house. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday so I would be available to look after your pup(s) from late afternoon on Friday until Sunday evening (or early Monday morning). On some occasions if need be, it may be possible for me to work remotely from your home (if WiFi permits and dependant on your facilities but I would need plenty of notice for this). Over the weekend I will be on hand every couple of hours to give your fur-babies my undivided attention, walkies and play time! I would also be available to pop in for checks and short walks during weekday evenings as well. I have a handsome miniature dachshund who keeps me company while I work from home during the week. I have a fenced and secure garden and have a car seat cover that covers the entire back seat meaning we can go further afield for walks as where we live has lots to offer on our doorstep for a variety of walks and terrain. We tend to go on two walks a day and perhaps a longer, more adventurous one on the weekends.

About: My family always had dogs whilst I was growing up from Alsatians to Schnauzers. I was also lucky enough to have my own horses too up until the age of 25 when my daughter was born. I now own my house in Tiverton and have a gorgeous little Yorkie Russell who just loves to play. I will treat your dog as my own and they will have a home from home right here with us. I work from home full-time so will be around during the day to take care of their needs, at the weekend I love to take my daughter and the dog to beaches, woodlands and other outdoor beauty spots for a nice long walk and play. I will be around to take care of your dogs every need, my boy (Mario) just loves to play and my daughter loves to have cuddles and will play with him for hours if I let her :) Mario has free roam of downstairs so I would work with you on what suits your dog best. About: I am an experienced dog owner, and fosterer for a couple of rescues. I have fostered lots of different breeds from Yorkshire terriers and dachshunds, to poodles and pomskys! I am confident handling nervous and quirky dogs. I welcome every dog into my home as if they are my own. I work for a dog food company and my whole live revolves around giving dogs the best life possible. I work fully remotely from home with flexible hours so I can adapt my routine to fit your dogs needs. Typically our routine is made up of 3 walks a day, and a last wee break before bed! But I can cater to any needs and requirements. I have a fully fenced (6ft) enclosed garden, dogs have full access to when required via patio doors. I have 2 friendly resident dogs - a 14kg mixed breed female and a 9kg male poodle. Both are neutered & are rescues but are used to dogs coming and going! About: As well as being very actively involved in the care of my families dogs ever since I was very young, I have looked after plenty of friends dogs too. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments in both cities and the countryside. I prioritise being extra safe and present when I'm caring for an animal which ensures any dog in my care is relaxed and happy. Ultimately I'm completely dog obsessed and take the responsibility of looking after any dog, be it my own or someone else's, very seriously (but not seriously enough that we don't also have loads of fun!!) I am currently a freelance graphic designer working from home meaning I have a VERY flexible schedule and really the perfect set up for taking care of dogs. As of right now I am available all week with no real time constraints. Note- from 29/04 - 20/05 and 03/06-24/06 I will be unavailable on Wednesday until 2pm. I have a lovely fenced medium-large garden with lots of plants, trees and interesting bits for dogs to explore (aka not a rectangle of flat grass!). My dogs spend lots of time outside sunbathing and playing. I have two beddlington-whippet girls at home, one is 5 the other is 10. The older isn't particularly interested in other dogs at all, happy to keep to herself. The other LOVES other dogs, she's a fantastic play mate.
About: Ive taken care of various different animals over the years beginning when I was 8 with my very first pet. Ive taken care of different breeds of dogs ranging from woldhounds all the way down to dachshunds. My garden is very large with a field just round the back of the house. Currently there are other caged pets in and outside my house such as birds, a rabbit & a Lizard. I work early mornings 4am - 8am and I also work a 0hr contract so your pets will be left alone for up to 4 hrs (unless booked far in advance where I am able to take time off). About: I’ve been volunteering doing dog walking and dog sitting. I’ve owned multiple dogs in the past, both from a puppy and rescue dogs. Mainly springer spaniels so I’m definitely use to very energetic dogs! I’ve lived with cats, rabbits and other various animals. I am currently available all the time, however I am limited to walking to locations unless it is an acceptable bus journey alternatively when my partner is off work I can be more available. I can’t currently cater for animals in my home but that should hopefully change in the future. Care in a pet owners home depends on what care the owner asks for. About: Always had dogs in our family, moved out 10 years ago and had my own dog, but after relationship breakdown I no longer have the dog and miss the companionship and caring for a dog, but can’t have my own again at the moment. About: I’m a massive animal lover and am a proud owner of two gorgeous cats, Ruby and Oscar- both adopted from unkind homes (Oscar was terrified to begin with and would pee everywhere for months and Ruby was hissing constantly & very scared. Now Oscar’s toileting troubles are under control and he’s growing in confidence day by day and Ruby is the most outgoing friendly cat I’ve ever met introduces herself to all!), and a lovely senior rescue dog from Bulgaria named Rosa. Rosa is dog mad gets so happy any time she sees one she breaks out of her anxious shell that her past has given her (she was previously used for breeding in Bulgaria kept on a chain and then dumped on a rubbish pile once they found out she had a mammary tumour poor thing). The cats are also fairly used to dogs as we’ve fostered a very bouncy collie shepherd rescue before as well as a Labrador puppy. We've also had or looked after small animals such as guinea pigs (I’ve had up to 30 in total but don’t anymore, used to rescue them) , rats (have only had female rats personally), hamsters (Syrians and Russian dwarfs) and have minor experience with reptiles & insects like bearded dragon and stick insects and am happy to care for any animal with the right instructions! I’m capable of bathing any pet that requires it, I can also carry out nail trims for guinea pigs as this is something I had to do a lot when I was rescuing them. I usually work in an early years setting with young children but during the holidays off all I’m doing is planning for my wedding (exciting I know!!) so have plenty of time to care for any pet that needs it! I’m happy to take on multiple and can come to your home if needed but due to my own pets I’d rather it be my own home however this is something I’m more than happy to discuss! I love walking and playing with dogs and cats too! Big or small doesn’t bother me! I have a fully enclosed fenced back garden to keep your pet safe. I have a two calm yet playful dogs and two cats to keep your pet company. I’m happy to adapt to your pet whatever their needs are. “I can’t quite express how thrilled and thankful we are to have found Julia! She’s everything we could ask for in a sitter and our little dog, Heidi had the best time! She was warm and friendly, and loved and cared for Heidi as if she was her own. Communication was excellent - she sent lots of pictures and updates, and responded quickly to messages. When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. She even gave us a tour of her property so that we’d have an idea of where Heidi would be hanging out. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles!
