About: Cared for dogs all my life, currently have a cocker named Prince who is super friendly. I'm a Royal Marine who is leaving the service this year. I am wanting to set up a dog boarding business on a larger scale when I retire. So I want to expose myself to all breeds and educate myself now to give me a good base knowledge. I love exercising dogs and don't see it as a chore as I like to grab lots of exercise too. Rest assured I would treat your loved one as one of my own pets and would cherish the time spent with them!! I have also just gained a level 3 diploma in Canine Welfare and behaviour. I make looking after my dog part of my day to day lifestyle, enjoying trips to the beach, park, swimming, runs etc. We are lucky to be in a great location to go different fun places with the dogs. I live in military quarters that has a fenced garden. Local dog walks are in abundance. I have a van I don't mind getting messy if it means getting the hounds down to the beach or dunes for a swim. Your pet would have freedom to move around the house as they wish.

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have trained a number of dogs including my own dogs and feel confident supporting a wide range of needs, from energetic puppies who need plenty of stimulation to older dogs who enjoy a gentler pace and extra cuddles. We are a very animal loving family made up of myself, my husband and our daughter, who has grown up around animals and understands how to be kind, gentle and respectful with them. Our home offers a genuine home from home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We share our home with Rosie, our 14 year old Collie x Poodle, Daisy, our 1 year old Labrador Retriever and our 16 year old Cat Bella who tends to keep herself to herself. As you'll see from the photos, they are very happy, friendly dogs and a huge part of our family. They both enjoy the company of other dogs and are used to sharing their space. We have a secure, good sized garden for safe outdoor play and love exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside, beaches and woodland walks. Whether your dog enjoys adventures, games or simply relaxing at home, we'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. Both my husband and I between us ensure one of us work from home each day of the week, which means dogs in our care have company and supervision for the vast majority of the day. Aside from short school runs or quick errands, someone is usually at home. If your dog is unable to be left alone, please get in touch as we can often accommodate this too. I know how important it is to feel completely confident that your pet is safe, happy and loved while you're away. Whether you're heading off on holiday, need regular daycare, or are visiting North Devon and want to enjoy an activity where dogs can't join, we would be delighted to help. Any dog staying with us will be treated as an honorary member of the family, with plenty of affection, attention and care. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is having a wonderful time. As a dog owner, I use pet sitters myself when we travel, so I completely understand how difficult it can feel leaving your dog with someone new. I'm always happy to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet so you can feel reassured that we're the right fit for your dog. I'm not the best at remembering to take photos of myself, but I've included some of our favourite pictures, along with our garden and a few snapshots from adventures with Rosie and Daisy. I hope they give you a feel for the happy, dog loving home we can offer. We both work from home, meaning your dog will have company and supervision for the vast majority of the time (around 95%), aside from short periods such as school runs or quick errands. We always prioritise being with any dog in our care, ensuring they feel settled, safe and never left for long periods. If they could not be left we can also work with this! I understand how important it is to feel your pet is safe and happy, whether you’re away on holiday or just need support during the day. If a working day our dogs get 2 - 3 walks a day from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in a range of different settings. We can meet any timetable for feeding required. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs that will support in keeping your pup entertained and engaged in games (they love tug of war and ball games!) and lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. We live in a quiet estate. We also can offer quiet area’s of the house if they need a little downtime to themselves where we can sit with them if required away from our pups.

About: I’m a friendly, reliable dog sitter and the proud owner of Timmy, my gentle and sociable Cavapoo, who enjoys making new friends. Living in an area surrounded by some of North Devon’s most beautiful countryside gives me the perfect setting to provide dogs with a happy, active, and enriching stay. I’m ideally located close to the Tarka Trail, the beach, Exmoor, and Dartmoor, which means your dog can enjoy a wonderful variety of walks - from peaceful woodland paths and scenic riverside strolls, to fresh sea air and open moorland adventures. I’ve looked after many dogs over the years, each with their own personality, needs, and routines, and I always make sure every dog is treated as part of the family. Whether your dog loves long walks, playful company, or simply a calm and caring home environment, I provide a safe space where they can feel relaxed and well cared for while you’re away. I work part‑time from home, which means I’m around for plenty of company, supervision, and cuddles throughout the day. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that’s exploring local walks, heading out for adventures, or a trip to the beach. At the same time, I know that dogs also enjoy their downtime. On colder or wetter days, I'm just as happy staying in - settling down with a good movie, some sofa snuggles, and a relaxed, calm atmosphere. I aim to strike the perfect balance between fun, exercise, and comfort, adapting each day to suit your dog’s energy levels and personality. My home is warm and welcoming. I have a secure garden where your dog can safely explore, play, and enjoy some fresh air, as well as a spacious open‑plan kitchen, dining, and living area. This allows dogs to move around comfortably and truly feel part of everyday family life, rather than being confined.

Nicky was so wonderful with Bobby, she looked after him as if he was her own dog and sent me lots of picture and video updates throughout Bobby’s stay. Nicky went the extra mile in making sure we felt happy leaving Bobby and making him comfortable during his stay. She took him for a lovely long walk in the morning and send videos of him enjoying the stream nearby! Nicky also helped us with navigating the local area, she really went above and beyond. Thank you so much Nicky for everything and Bobby had a great time :)

I can’t quite express how thrilled and thankful we are to have found Julia! She’s everything we could ask for in a sitter and our little dog, Heidi had the best time! She was warm and friendly, and loved and cared for Heidi as if she was her own. Communication was excellent - she sent lots of pictures and updates, and responded quickly to messages. When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. She even gave us a tour of her property so that we’d have an idea of where Heidi would be hanging out. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles! Honestly, I can’t praise Julia enough. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful friend to care for Heidi when we go away. Thanks a million, Julia! Xx

About: I have grown up with dogs (My first word was my dog- Rolley!) and I see them as a essential part of my life and routine. I am now our lucky enough to have my own ; little Nellie. Therefore I am confident with both younger dogs to older dogs with more complex needs. I am familiar with cockapoos and cocker spaniels, but love all breeds. I have a medium sized enclosed garden, but are lucky enough to live in walking distance to two woods and a 20 minute drive to local dog friendly beaches! I am lucky enough to work from home, After work my favourite thing is to walk Nellie, meaning that dogs are rarely left. (Only if it is too hot for her on the beach!) I have a my own 1 1/2 year old cocker spaniel called nellie, she is very happy and loving with other dogs and loves evening cuddles My garden is enclosed. I would walk your dog on the lead at all times, unless superficially instructed. I am are also very happy to leave your dog in a different room to nellie, if/when we popped out. I have a crate if required, and am used to crate trained dogs. (Nellie is crate trained.) All dogs if travelling a car will be put a in their own car crate or on a doggy seatbelt. (As per the the law.) All dogs will be walked twice a day for at least 30 minutes*( unless you request otherwise, or there is extreme weather.)

About: Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and for 11 wonderful years, I had the joy of sharing my life with a Cavachon who I really miss. Caring for him taught me the importance of patience, love, routine, and understanding the unique personalities of our pets. After he passed, I realised how much I missed the companionship that animals bring. Becoming a pet sitter allows me to share that love and experience with others, offering their pets the same level of care and attention I gave my own. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when you're away from your furry family member, and I’m here to provide just that—gentle, reliable, and attentive care tailored to each pet's needs. I work flexible part time so have good availability during week days and weekends. I am based in between Worcestershire, Bristol and Westward Ho so can cover these areas When caring for pets in your own home, I aim to keep things as normal and stress-free as possible. I stick closely to your instructions and their regular routine—feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I also make sure they feel loved and comforted while you're away. I treat your home with respect, keeping things tidy and secure, and I’m always happy to send updates and pictures so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

When I was 10 we got my best friend, a little whippet puppy who was just the best! We sadly lost him at the ripe age of 12 at the end of last year. It's so important to take extra care of them when they become old and fragile and having to change certain aspects of their life so they don't get down about the things they can't do anymore. I've had the pleasure of getting to know all different breeds and their personalities from Huskies to Dachshunds and Spaniels, Whippets, Staffies, Pocket bullies, xl bullies, Retrievers and Newfoundlands. We have a 7 month old pocket bully and she has to be one of the funniest and loving dogs we've ever had. Before we got her of course we did alot of research and she is such a well behaved girl. It's important that the training starts from the day you get them and I feel that if someone's dog isn't properly trained then they aren't going to know how to deal with someone elses. I adore all dogs and always treat them like they're a part of the family! I'm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to do what I love most which is being with animals. I also travel to Cornwall atleast once a week so I am very flexible on where I can go too! I plan on mostly doing home visits and or walks. I will ask lots of questions for example using treats etc and asking about allergies. Everyone and every dog is different so it's tailoring every experience to suit the dog and owner so everyone is happy. I know it takes a lot of trust to allow someone into your home and or to take your dog for a walk so I will be making sure I know as much as possible and listening to every word the owner says!

Very happy. Nicky has a wonderful dog friendly setting with lots of walks and places to explore, including the beach. Pinot met her dog, horses and even a barn owl. Nicky kept me updated all day with lovely pictures and video of Pinots day out, including some of my Pinot being a turncoat and showing someone more love than I get at home… getting cuddles and strokes in chair… Happy recommend Nicky and we will be seeing her again when I am back in the area on business.

Michael’s family are so in love with dogs that it’s clear to see from the second we Winnie entered their home. We were at a wedding and so naturally nervous about leaving our little girl for the whole day, but we had regular updates, pictures and stories. Winnie even got to enjoy a trip to the beach! It was so comforting knowing that she was in safe hands, and we will 100% be rebooking the next time we are in Devon for an event and need Winnie taken care of.

About: Hi there, I’m Stephie, A bit about me :) I’ve grew up with two boarder collies that I walked daily and since then have always been a dog lover! Always offering to take care of friends, family’s and colleagues furry friends. I have a 3 year old tiny mini dachshund who is very loving and extremely friendly ! She loves other dogs and always keen for a playmate. I am very kind and caring toward animals and will always put your pets needs first. I work from home and go on walks in the morning, lunchtime and in the evening so can do drop ins or have your dog here. I have a back courtyard which is secure with surrounding walls. My puppy is very friendly and playful and can keep your fur baby company if you’re open to that, if not I can keep them seperate. I do also have a cat but he’s extremely independent and loves just chilling in my bedroom whilst we are downstairs'.

About: I’ve had my dog since I was 7 years old, I’ve looked after him ever since, walking him regularly, feeding him, giving him water and washing him. From September 2023-July 2024 I did animal care (level 1) but I was working with the animals and doing health checks on them regularly, this includes dogs, and other animals. Alongside this course I did dog grooming where I worked for about 3-4 months as a volunteer as a part of my course. Well at the moment I’m actually doing a dog grooming course (once a week 9-5) and look after my dog when I’m at home as well as hopefully now looking after others dogs/animals. In my home, I take my dog on walks regularly, feed him every day in the evening and if he’s got a lot of energy and needs to run, as I can’t let him off the lead, I let him off I let him in the garden and throw a toy for him until he’s tired. In an owners home if I’m looking after their dog overnight or even just during the day, if they get fed at specific times, get walked at specific times ect I will set reminders on my phone for each thing to ensure I never loose track.

About: Having grown up with cats myself and having two of my own pets, I have had a great deal of experience in looking after animals. For many years I have also looked after pets for friends and family which has included administering medication and dental paste, as well as the usual feeding and cleaning rituals. I have also walked dogs for other pet owners in the past and have loved engaging with the animals and the interaction that this brings. I am also happy to brush and groom your pet/s if this is preferred and will also maintain an impeccable level of cleanliness and hygiene when visiting your home to take care of your pet. As well as the practical level of care that I provide for animals, I am a firm believer in providing affection and close contact with pets, especially as they will miss their owners whilst being away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how one can miss their pet whilst away and I’d be more than happy to provide daily regular updates and photos and/or videos of your pet whilst you are away. I will always maintain your pet is in excellent hands and you will return to a happy and a calm pet upon the return of your trip. My hours on a weekly basis are flexible and I will be able to carry out morning and evening visits including weekends as well as during the week. As I have two of my own pets I will only be able to take care of your pet/s within your own home. I will ensure that I follow all security procedures. For example, I will always keep windows closed and will keep doors locked/ closed when visiting and leaving your property. Please let me know if there are any alarms that need to be set or turned on/off during the visits. If you have a house cat which does not roam outdoors, then I will strictly adhere to keeping your cat securely indoors. If I am walking your dog, then I will always keep the dog on a leash. If there are any medical concerns, then I will contact both yourself and the registered vet, and so I would need the details of the veterinary surgery.

About: Hi we are Leah & Tim, we have big hearts for animals. Here is some information about us below. Leah - Hi, I'm Leah! I've always grown up with dogs and animal's since I was little and at 13 was a key help in training and caring for my collie. Since then I have grown up with him and realised just how incredible dogs are, and how lucky we are to have them. My collie Rusty passed away in 2020, since then a big part of me was taken too. I miss him dearly and miss in general a dogs presence you can be assured your dog would be so loved and cared for by me, and have lots of fun! I know how special they are, and that they are a part of the family. Tim - Hi, I'm Tim! I have been with Leah for 5 years now, during this time I had bonded heavily with her dog Rusty, realising how much a part of the family they are. I have always been a heavy animal lover. I have many pets myself ranging from fish to python to rabbits. Throughout my life I have grown up caring and looking after animals, anything from hurt hedgehogs to bats. This is something instilled in me by my family. I would love to look after and care for your dog. As with my life situation at this time I am unable to have one of my own. Look forward to hearing from you! I am currently busy monday-friday but can be available at weekends Saturday or Sunday. On these days I could be available earliest 10am and onwards throughout the day. This does not apply to myself, as I am not able to have pets stay with me at my home unfortunately. Sorry for any inconvenience.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life having owned cats and dogs, (cocker spaniels and a German short haired pointer), and helping on local friends small holdings. I have also been a volunteer dog walker for 10 years with the cinnamon trust (an amazing charity for the elderly). Currently I don't own any pets, so am in a position to be able to give your pet the attention and care it needs. I completely understand also how nerve-racking it can be entrusting your family member to a new person but with meeting and talking before, I hope I can put you and your pet/s at ease. I currently work from home but am flexible in my hours so i am able to give your pet the care, attention and exercise they need, based on their routines and your wishes. I live in a detached house with a fenced garden enabling them to access this whenever required. I also live close to various walks including the beach, fields and parks so can give them the exercise they require based on their need. Within my home there are no other pets so they would get full attention. They would also be allowed on the furniture (if you say this is alright....).

About: From a bustling household with five cats, a loyal dog, and majestic horses to rescuing two dogs from dire circumstances, my life has always been intertwined with animals. As a lifelong animal lover, I've become the go-to person for pet care among friends and family, nurturing every creature with the love and attention they deserve. Passionate about the great outdoors, I find joy in embarking on long walks with dogs, exploring nature's beauty and ensuring our furry friends get the exercise and excitement they crave. My professional background as a freelance chef enriches my ability to cater not just to human tastes but to canine palates as well. Yes, I whip up dog-friendly meals that are both nutritious and delicious, tailored to make mealtime a joy for your pet. Travel is a passion of mine, but when I'm home, I offer a safe and welcoming environment for your dog. My garden is fully dog-proof, ensuring a secure space for play and relaxation. Located walking distance from some of the best dune walks, your dog will enjoy endless adventures, just a paw's step away from home. In trusting your beloved dog with me, you're not just ensuring they have a sitter — you're giving them a friend who understands and shares an innate love for all creatures, great and small. Together, we'll make sure your dog's stay is as joyful and enriching as possible. I am a freelance chef. I have an events catering company, which means I have a lot of free time in-between big events. I especially have time over the winter months and the majority of my work is during the summer (weddings). I have a dog safe garden, which is big enough for a good run around. I have a work from home lifestyle, which means I have loads of time to walk, play and cuddle with your dog. I am passionate about walking and have access to incredible walks right from my house.

About: I've been caring for dogs and other animals pretty much all of my life. My grandma used to breed Newfoundlands so I was always helping with her gentle giants! From walking and grooming to playing and meal times. I've never not had a dog in my life and they truly do make your life a million times better.

I have volunteered in Dog sanctuaries across Europe and Africa, dealing with dogs of all different breeds, ages and health conditions. I have a full, clean drivers license and own my own car! I work as a freelance Animator out of my studio in Penryn. As I work for myself I am able to structure my days around my animal care commitments, which take priority when scheduling my calendar. I believe it is a big responsibility taking care of someones beloved pet, and I treat animals and other peoples homes with the utmost respect. I am very adaptable and understand that all animals are different and need different sorts of care. I am an excellent communicator, and will work with the owner to provide the best care possible for each pet.

Xx
