“Lee andhis family looked after Layla beautifully. She loved playing in their garden, going for walks and playing with Lee’s gorgeous, friendly dog Prince. Lee kindly fitted in with all our timings. It was a pleasure dealing with him and I will definitely ask him to look after Layla again. I highly recommend him to all dog owners looking for a kind, caring, fun environment for their dog.”

“Farmer bob looked after Remy wonderfully. She didn’t want to come home 😁 she had large areas to run around and was very happy. I would definitely book again. Thank you for looking after her.”

“Catherine looked after Olive while we were visiting Devon for a wedding. Olive had a lovely time playing at the beach and we’d highly recommend booking if you’re looking for a dog sitter in the area!”

“Tess and Stan enjoyed their stay with Boo and had lots of fun playing with the other dogs, nice walks and chill out time. Boo took great care of them both. More than happy to recommend.”

About: Fully insured, DBS checked, Pet first aid and Pet Sitting Diploma. I have lifelong experience caring for animals, having grown up with family pets (dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits), caring for farm animals from my uncles farm (piglets, calves and chickens etc.). This passion and care has continued into adulthood. I currently care for my own pets and have gained professional experience through Pawfect Companions, providing reliable and compassionate care for animals in their own homes. My experience includes dog walking, pet sitting, feeding routines, administering basic care and medication, ensuring animals feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand that every animal has unique needs and always tailor my care to suit their personality, routine, and wellbeing. I also have a background in safeguarding and community support. Animals have always been a part of my life, a household does feel like home without a one 🐾 Working full time remotely allows me to be flexible to meet your needs. Finally living my dream building up a pet care and dog walking business Barnstaple based with surrounding areas My pet care services are animal centred to your pets needs. Services are tailored and personalised to all care needs. Lots of cuddles and love, treated like my own
“Millie and Dan were amazing looking after my dachshund lunatics. We got daily updates and loads of pictures of all their adventures. Millie allows the dogs to feel at home, and creates a very relaxed environment for the dogs. My dogs came home in very good conditions and very content. We will definitely rebook when we go on our next holiday.”

“Our girls had the absolute BEST weekend with Isabelle, it really was a home from home environment for them. They even sulked for the next few days and definitely missed her after coming home! Fab communication, with lots of updates - would be very happy leaving them with her again, knowing that they are safe and spoilt! We were worried as this was our first time leaving our nervous lurchers with anyone other than family, but Isabelle was reassuring, understanding and kind from the start. Would recommend to anyone!”

About: Dogs have always been a massive part of my life. Having previously owned three wonderful dogs of my own, I deeply understand canine behaviour, different energy levels, and how important a consistent routine is for a dog's happiness. Neighbours and family members frequently rely on me for dedicated dog walking, feeding schedules and bath times. I am also fully comfortable and experienced with managing medical needs, whether that involves administering oral medications, following strict supplement schedules, or caring for senior dogs who need a gentler touch. Whether your pup needs a high-energy walk, structured play, or a cosy environment for holiday care. I provide a safe and loving home away from home. I am fully committed to treating your dog like a member of my own family. I am also a proud parent to two indoor cats who live with me full-time. However, please do not worry if your pup isn't a fan of felines! My home layout allows me to easily separate them, and I am more than happy to fully accommodate and adjust my routine for dogs that do not like cats. Your dog's safety, health, and comfort are my absolute top priorities. As I do not work currently I have full-time flexibility to dedicate my entire day to your pet's specific routine and needs. Whether they require flexible drop-off times, mid-day attention, or constant companionship, I can easily adapt my schedule to suit yours perfectly. To provide the absolute best care possible, I am currently completing Animal Care Courses. Your pet’s safety is my absolute top priority. I maintain close supervision at all times. I actively monitor all playtime, ensuring your pet is safe when enjoying toys or chewable treats. When heading out for walks, I double check that they have the appropriate gear whether that is a collar or harness. For their protection, I keep all dogs firmly on the lead unless you explicitly specify that they have reliable recall and are allowed off lead. When at home, I always make sure they are also supervised outside in the garden as well.
“Katherine was excellent from the outset. Great communication before the stay. I feel very happy leaving our two dogs with her for 24hrs. She provided photos and updates throughout their stay. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jenny! Absolutely amazing with our little boy, Monty. It was our first time using this service and we found it very easy and straightforward! Jenny was extremely delightful, friendly and kind. We felt confident and comfortable leaving our boy with her – and most of all, Monty enjoyed his time as he was well looked after! We will definitely be returning again :)”

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have trained a number of dogs including my own dogs and feel confident supporting a wide range of needs, from energetic puppies who need plenty of stimulation to older dogs who enjoy a gentler pace and extra cuddles. We are a very animal loving family made up of myself, my husband and our daughter, who has grown up around animals and understands how to be kind, gentle and respectful with them. Our home offers a genuine home from home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We share our home with Rosie, our 14 year old Collie x Poodle, Daisy, our 1 year old Labrador Retriever and our 16 year old Cat Bella who tends to keep herself to herself. As you'll see from the photos, they are very happy, friendly dogs and a huge part of our family. They both enjoy the company of other dogs and are used to sharing their space. We have a secure, good sized garden for safe outdoor play and love exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside, beaches and woodland walks. Whether your dog enjoys adventures, games or simply relaxing at home, we'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. Both my husband and I between us ensure one of us work from home each day of the week, which means dogs in our care have company and supervision for the vast majority of the day. Aside from short school runs or quick errands, someone is usually at home. If your dog is unable to be left alone, please get in touch as we can often accommodate this too. I know how important it is to feel completely confident that your pet is safe, happy and loved while you're away. Whether you're heading off on holiday, need regular daycare, or are visiting North Devon and want to enjoy an activity where dogs can't join, we would be delighted to help. Any dog staying with us will be treated as an honorary member of the family, with plenty of affection, attention and care. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is having a wonderful time. As a dog owner, I use pet sitters myself when we travel, so I completely understand how difficult it can feel leaving your dog with someone new. I'm always happy to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet so you can feel reassured that we're the right fit for your dog. I'm not the best at remembering to take photos of myself, but I've included some of our favourite pictures, along with our garden and a few snapshots from adventures with Rosie and Daisy. I hope they give you a feel for the happy, dog loving home we can offer. We both work from home, meaning your dog will have company and supervision for the vast majority of the time (around 95%), aside from short periods such as school runs or quick errands. We always prioritise being with any dog in our care, ensuring they feel settled, safe and never left for long periods. If they could not be left we can also work with this! I understand how important it is to feel your pet is safe and happy, whether you’re away on holiday or just need support during the day. If a working day our dogs get 2 - 3 walks a day from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in a range of different settings. We can meet any timetable for feeding required. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs that will support in keeping your pup entertained and engaged in games (they love tug of war and ball games!) and lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. We live in a quiet estate. We also can offer quiet area’s of the house if they need a little downtime to themselves where we can sit with them if required away from our pups.
“Coco had a great time at Marzena’s playing with Coco and Clive - I think shes missing her new friends now she’s back with us. We got lots of photos and Marzena should great flexibility when our flight was moved later. We are very grateful to have Marzena locally and I’m sure coco will be back when we next go away.”

“I left Bear with Murad and his wife for the night, it was the first time he’d boarded in a different house but, by the photos I received, he settled straight away! He was thoroughly spoilt during his stay and I was provided with photos and videos of his sleep over. He has been snoozing all day since I picked him up!! Suffice to say he thoroughly enjoyed it and we will definitely be using Murad again☺️”

“Highly recommend Lucy. Lovely family home. My very excitable dog was the most chilled out I've seen her on collection. Well looked after. Regular updates. Will use again. Thanks so much lucy.”

“I booked at the last minute, but the response was prompt and everything was handled with ease. Communication was excellent throughout, with plenty of updates and photos, which gave me real peace of mind. My dog was very well looked after and came home happy and content. I would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book again.”

“I can’t quite express how thrilled and thankful we are to have found Julia! She’s everything we could ask for in a sitter and our little dog, Heidi had the best time! She was warm and friendly, and loved and cared for Heidi as if she was her own. Communication was excellent - she sent lots of pictures and updates, and responded quickly to messages. When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. She even gave us a tour of her property so that we’d have an idea of where Heidi would be hanging out. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles! Honestly, I can’t praise Julia enough. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful friend to care for Heidi when we go away. Thanks a million, Julia! Xx”

“Absolutely fantastic! Jo was exceptional in her level of care and made Beau Bo's holiday stay a wonderful experience. Beau Bo was cared for, loved and treated as one of the family and she had so much fun and enjoyment playing with Jo's dog, Mario, and daughter, Skye. Communication was exceptional and I was kept informed and updated each day with plenty of messages, photos and videos. Jo is a kind, caring, responsible and reliable person and I would not hesitate to entrust her to look after my dog again. A wonderful experience for both dog and owner! Can not recommend highly enough!”

I have a my own 1 1/2 year old cocker spaniel called nellie, she is very happy and loving with other dogs and loves evening cuddles My garden is enclosed. I would walk your dog on the lead at all times, unless superficially instructed. I am are also very happy to leave your dog in a different room to nellie, if/when we popped out. (As per the the law.) All dogs will be walked twice a day for at least 30 minutes*( unless you request otherwise, or there is extreme weather.)

“Becky was great. We had recently moved to Devon & had no one to look after Luna. She is a very shy cat and doesn’t like strangers, but she managed to coax Luna out, just so she could see Becky. Was really flexible with coming over short notice as well to go through routines. ”

“Adele looked after my two cats, Gnocchi and Luna for several days (the longest I left them). We got updates throughout the visit which was lovely as I always think about them when we are away. We came home and it was clear the cats were happy. They had been well looked after, fed and were not stressed as they would have been in a cattery. ”

“Alex was a great dog sitter for our anniversary meal out. We were staying in an air bnb on holiday and Alex had no issues keeping our 7 month old puppy occupied and happy whilst we were gone. His communication ahead of the day was great, he was very detailed and inquisitive to make sure he could provide the best care for our dog. He made sure to arrive earlier than planned to avoid anxiety for our little pup and he was a pleasure to meet. Thanks Alex!”

“Michael’s family are so in love with dogs that it’s clear to see from the second we Winnie entered their home. We were at a wedding and so naturally nervous about leaving our little girl for the whole day, but we had regular updates, pictures and stories. Winnie even got to enjoy a trip to the beach! It was so comforting knowing that she was in safe hands, and we will 100% be rebooking the next time we are in Devon for an event and need Winnie taken care of.”

“Our puppy was very well looked after by Amelia and was a happy creature upon her return. No concerns about Amelia looking after our much loved dog. It was great to have peace of mind whilst she was away from us, knowing that she was safe and well.”

“From the moment we arrived at Eve’s beautiful house in the countryside we were made to feel very welcome and our dog Mabel was playing with Eve’s partner Brandon. She didn’t even notice we left!!! Eve sent us updates, photos and videos throughout the day; and Mabel clearly had a great day playing in the fields. We will definitely be using Eve again to look after Mabel. Thank you both!”

“We were staying in Bude, and while visiting Cornwall wanted to do some activities where dogs are not allowed. At first we found it difficult to search for doggy day care and then we came across Rover and Dale's Doggy Day Care. We were nervous to leave our dog, Wafer with a stranger, in an area we didn't know. Dale was very welcoming and accommodating with drop-off and pick-up times. Our dog is very friendly, however at first seemed a bit nervous to meet Rex, Dayle's dog. Dale took the time to help Wafer settle in and within minutes of us leaving we received pictures of our dog enjoying the place. The second day, Wafer was still a little bit nervous to stay, which didn't help us feel good about leaving him for another day. Dale was quickly on the case to help him settle again and the videos we received showed us how happy Wafer was, once we left. Of course, as always, noone is as happy to see you as your dog! Wafer was happy to be back with us and tired, ready to relax, which was great for us 👍🏼 Wafer's profile picture on Rover is one of the photos we received from Dale ❤️ We would thoroughly recommend Dale's Doggy Day Care and left his details with our campsite!”

“Thanks so much for having Flynn for the day! We really appreciated you getting to know his quirks and keeping us updated throughout the day. We knew he was in great hands with you. Will plan his next visit soon :)”

About: ✨ Get £15 off your first booking with code KATIE87093 ✨ Hi, I’m Katie. I’m 38 and live in a small countryside hamlet near Tiverton. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, and that love has stayed with me my whole life. These days my partner and I share our home with four rescue dogs and three cats, so caring for animals is very much part of everyday life. I currently work as an Animal Care Assistant in rescue, supporting dogs with a wide range of needs, and I’m studying for a degree in dog training and behaviour. Before working in rescue, I was a registered nurse, so compassion, reliability, and attention to detail are at the heart of how I care for both people and animals. If you are looking for someone experienced, calm, and genuinely passionate about animals, I would love to help. Dog walking: I offer tailored dog walks around Tiverton and the surrounding countryside. Every dog is different, so walks are adapted to suit their personality, energy level, and health. Some dogs enjoy a relaxed sniffy stroll while others prefer a longer countryside adventure. My aim is always to give dogs safe exercise, enrichment, and a positive experience. I am comfortable working with puppies who are learning about the world, senior dogs who need gentler exercise, anxious or reactive dogs, and dogs with health conditions such as hip dysplasia. Safety, calm handling, and patience are always my priority. Drop in visits / home visits: If your pet is happiest staying in their own environment, I offer 30 minute or longer drop in visits. Visits can include letting dogs out for toilet breaks, feeding and fresh water, playtime and enrichment, litter tray cleaning, administering medication, and plenty of company and reassurance. I am also happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as watering plants, bringing in post, or turning lights on and off. You will always receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are safe and cared for. Dog boarding: I also offer short periods of home boarding for well matched dogs. Dogs staying with us become part of our daily routine and enjoy walks, enrichment, and lots of company. Our own dogs have morning and evening walks, shorter lunchtime enrichment, including plenty of sniffing games and brain work or just playing in the garden! They aren’t a terribly high energy bunch, so they’re just as happy relaxing by the fire with us too. We have a secure fenced garden and visiting dogs are always supervised. Introductions are done gently, often starting with a short walk up the lane so everyone can settle naturally. We are used to supporting nervous or reactive dogs and understand the patience and calm approach they need. Quiet spaces and a separate room are available for dogs who prefer their own area. Other pets: Alongside dogs and cats I have experience caring for many other animals including rabbits, rodents, chickens, exotics, horses, and farm animals. If you have a small menagerie at home that is absolutely fine with me! Qualifications and experience: - Animal Care Assistant in rescue - Former Registered Nurse with a first class degree - BSc Psychology 2:1 including animal behaviour - Dog Training and Behaviour Degree Level 6 - in progress - Experience with international rescue organisations - Fostered dogs and cats with complex needs - Owner of Bark and Bramble natural dog treats - Run Waggy Trails Dog Park - DBS checked and public liability insured - Clean driving licence and vehicle fitted with dog seat belts and crate if needed I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to provide calm, attentive, personalised care. If you would like to chat or arrange a meet and greet, please feel free to send me a message. I would love to hear about your pets and how I can help. Katie x I work in rescue and am currently able to offer early morning or afternoon drop ins on working days, but I can be flexible on days off. I know all animals needs are different and have experience with anxiety and reactivity, so I will always adapt my interactions to suit them. I will care for them exactly as you wish in both my own home and yours - you know them and their needs better than anyone.

“Murad was very helpful and able to help us at short notice. His communication was really good with quick responses. Dickie appeared to have a great stay and he looked really comfortable with Murad and his wife which told me they had looked after well.”

“Emily and her partner with great. Made us feel so at ease from the start. Asked lots of good questions to understand Paxo and how to best care for him. She took him out for a lovely long walk and he had a great play with her lovely dog, and then they settled in for some nice down time. Paxo was in very safe hands and will will look forward to using Emily again in the future”

“It was the first time I left my 14 week puppy with someone else and Lucy couldn't do more to welcome her in. She sent regular photos updates and I had a very happy puppy to take home. Thank you to both Lucy and her family for taking great care of Josie!”

“Paddy had a wonderful stay with Shelagh and her husband Pete. Paddy can get overexcited on meeting new people and had not boarded away from home or stayed with another dog before so we were uncertain how he would react. We needn’t have worried. Shelagh and Pete are very animal aware and felt he’d settle into his new routine. He had an initial two day visit, spent a lovely time running free in the enclosed field, and we returned to collect him finding the two dogs perfectly happy wandering around together. A real success - we instantly booked Paddy for a week’s stay so we could go away on holiday on our own. Very pleased and grateful for Shelagh & Pete’s care.”

About: I’ve had my dog since I was 7 years old, I’ve looked after him ever since, walking him regularly, feeding him, giving him water and washing him. From September 2023-July 2024 I did animal care (level 1) but I was working with the animals and doing health checks on them regularly, this includes dogs, and other animals. Alongside this course I did dog grooming where I worked for about 3-4 months as a volunteer as a part of my course. Well at the moment I’m actually doing a dog grooming course (once a week 9-5) and look after my dog when I’m at home as well as hopefully now looking after others dogs/animals. In my home, I take my dog on walks regularly, feed him every day in the evening and if he’s got a lot of energy and needs to run, as I can’t let him off the lead, I let him off I let him in the garden and throw a toy for him until he’s tired. In an owners home if I’m looking after their dog overnight or even just during the day, if they get fed at specific times, get walked at specific times ect I will set reminders on my phone for each thing to ensure I never loose track.
“Courtney is a lovely, friendly person who most importantly our dogs took to immediately. Marley was happy to go with Courtney for a long walk and I’m sure he had a fun time! He’s looking forward to seeing you again next week 😀😀”

About: Cared for dogs all my life, currently have a cocker named Prince who is super friendly. I'm a Royal Marine who is leaving the service this year. I am wanting to set up a dog boarding business on a larger scale when I retire. So I want to expose myself to all breeds and educate myself now to give me a good base knowledge. I love exercising dogs and don't see it as a chore as I like to grab lots of exercise too. Rest assured I would treat your loved one as one of my own pets and would cherish the time spent with them!! I have also just gained a level 3 diploma in Canine Welfare and behaviour. I make looking after my dog part of my day to day lifestyle, enjoying trips to the beach, park, swimming, runs etc. We are lucky to be in a great location to go different fun places with the dogs. I live in military quarters that has a fenced garden. Local dog walks are in abundance. I have a van I don't mind getting messy if it means getting the hounds down to the beach or dunes for a swim. Your pet would have freedom to move around the house as they wish.

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life I have a 6 year old cockapoo called honey …she is my princess I have two guinea pigs called Bert and Ernie … I also used to breed rabbits and have experience looking after lots of other friends and family’s pets …i treat all animals like they are part of the family .. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable care throughout the week. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as overnight stays when needed. I make pet care a priority in my daily routine, ensuring each pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, and companionship based on their individual needs and routine. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if required), and any special instructions. I always ensure pets are secure on walks, keep a clean and safe environment, and provide lots of affection and positive attention. I also keep owners updated with regular messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I respect your home, leave it tidy, and treat every pet as if they were my own.
“Imogen was excellent with my GSP. 2 walks over 2 days whilst we were holidaying locally and Imogen took a huge amount of care to make sure the walks were suitable and she tailored the second walk to one that my dog would really enjoy (lots of sniffing opportunities!) Will absolutely use again when we're in the area. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have always had a strong love for animals and plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs. I have my own Blue Staffy who is now 15 years old, so I have grown up caring for and looking after a dog throughout all stages of their life. I also regularly help look after my boyfriend’s three dogs throughout the week, giving me experience with caring for multiple dogs with different personalities and needs. When I was a teenager, I was regularly trusted by neighbours, family and friends to walk their dogs, and was paid to provide this care. I also regularly dog and house sit for family and friends whenever i can. I’m reliable, caring and responsible, and I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection and the individual care they need. I currently have a flexible schedule as I am looking for work, which means I have plenty of time and availability to dedicate to caring for pets. I am able to adapt my daily routine around each pet’s individual needs, whether that means regular walks, feeding times, playtime, companionship or staying overnight. My current flexibility also means I can be available during weekdays, weekends and for overnight stays, depending on the booking. I would make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods of time. I am used to having dogs as part of my everyday routine through caring for my own 15-year-old Blue Staffy and regularly looking after my boyfriend’s three dogs. I understand that every pet has their own routine, personality and requirements, and I am happy to follow their usual schedule as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and settled while their owners are away.

Xx”

“Thank you Shelagh and Pete for looking after Wilfred. A really great service and instantly made us feel comfortable and relaxed about leaving our dog for a few days. Great communication, friendly and would recommend to anyone needing their services. Will use again.”
