About: Dogs have always been a massive part of my life. Having previously owned three wonderful dogs of my own, I deeply understand canine behaviour, different energy levels, and how important a consistent routine is for a dog's happiness. Whether your pup needs a high-energy walk, structured play, or a cosy environment for holiday care. I provide a safe and loving home away from home. I am fully committed to treating your dog like a member of my own family. I am also a proud parent to two indoor cats who live with me full-time. However, please do not worry if your pup isn't a fan of felines! My home layout allows me to easily separate them, and I am more than happy to fully accommodate and adjust my routine for dogs that do not like cats. Your dog's safety, health, and comfort are my absolute top priorities. As I do not work currently I have full-time flexibility to dedicate my entire day to your pet's specific routine and needs. Whether they require flexible drop-off times, mid-day attention, or constant companionship, I can easily adapt my schedule to suit yours perfectly. To provide the absolute best care possible, I am currently completing Animal Care Courses. Your pet’s safety is my absolute top priority. I maintain close supervision at all times. I actively monitor all playtime, ensuring your pet is safe when enjoying toys or chewable treats. When heading out for walks, I double check that they have the appropriate gear whether that is a collar or harness. For their protection, I keep all dogs firmly on the lead unless you explicitly specify that they have reliable recall and are allowed off lead. When at home, I always make sure they are also supervised outside in the garden as well.

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have trained a number of dogs including my own dogs and feel confident supporting a wide range of needs, from energetic puppies who need plenty of stimulation to older dogs who enjoy a gentler pace and extra cuddles. We are a very animal loving family made up of myself, my husband and our daughter, who has grown up around animals and understands how to be kind, gentle and respectful with them. Our home offers a genuine home from home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We share our home with Rosie, our 14 year old Collie x Poodle, Daisy, our 1 year old Labrador Retriever and our 16 year old Cat Bella who tends to keep herself to herself. As you'll see from the photos, they are very happy, friendly dogs and a huge part of our family. They both enjoy the company of other dogs and are used to sharing their space. We have a secure, good sized garden for safe outdoor play and love exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside, beaches and woodland walks. Whether your dog enjoys adventures, games or simply relaxing at home, we'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. Both my husband and I between us ensure one of us work from home each day of the week, which means dogs in our care have company and supervision for the vast majority of the day. Aside from short school runs or quick errands, someone is usually at home. If your dog is unable to be left alone, please get in touch as we can often accommodate this too. I know how important it is to feel completely confident that your pet is safe, happy and loved while you're away. Whether you're heading off on holiday, need regular daycare, or are visiting North Devon and want to enjoy an activity where dogs can't join, we would be delighted to help. We both work from home, meaning your dog will have company and supervision for the vast majority of the time (around 95%), aside from short periods such as school runs or quick errands. We always prioritise being with any dog in our care, ensuring they feel settled, safe and never left for long periods. If they could not be left we can also work with this! I understand how important it is to feel your pet is safe and happy, whether you’re away on holiday or just need support during the day. If a working day our dogs get 2 - 3 walks a day from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in a range of different settings. We can meet any timetable for feeding required. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs that will support in keeping your pup entertained and engaged in games (they love tug of war and ball games!) and lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. We live in a quiet estate. We also can offer quiet area’s of the house if they need a little downtime to themselves where we can sit with them if required away from our pups.

When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles! If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
