About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I'm a caring, patient person who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets, whether that's playing with them, giving them attention, or helping them stick to their usual routine. I work part time in a local school, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and overnight stays. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I aim to provide the utmost level of care and affection. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you'll always know your pet is happy and having a great time. Throughout the day, I make time for play, cuddles, training, and keeping pets engaged and happy. I currently work part-time in a local school so have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve and ensure they feel relaxed, loved, and well looked after. A typical day with me includes plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I love being outdoors and am a confident walker, so your dog can enjoy long, enriching walks and lots of opportunities to explore. If we come back muddy after an adventure, there's no need to worry - I’ll make sure your dog gets cleaned up before settling back in. I also have a small enclosed garden to keep your dog safe if they are staying with me and I'll make sure to keep you updated with messages and photos.
“This is the second time we have used Susana for our pug Ralph. Susana always updates us with pictures and videos of Ralph whilst we are away which is really lovely. He is very well cared for and treated like a member of the family! We will hopefully be using Susana again next year as we know Ralph is safe and well cared for.”

“Jacob looked after our 15 week old Belgian Malinois for 4 days, communication was excellent he updated us with videos photos and messages so we felt completely at ease, Jacob followed our instructions on exercise and feeding very well and Bella was very happy and healthy on her return to us, We would highly recommend Jacob to anyone”

“Gayathri looked after my dog Ada for a full day (7am–7pm) at quite short notice. She was really accommodating with the timing and I got thoughtful updates during the day, which was very reassuring. When I picked Ada up, I could tell from her relaxed behaviour with both Gayathri and me that she had been well cared for.”

“We left our dog Leia with Sophie for the weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This was the first time we’ve left Leia with anyone other than family and she made us feel at ease. We received regular updates and videos, which really made a difference and reassured us while we were away. Leia came home happy and clearly very well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog boarder. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of Leia!😊”

“Wonderful! Our Lucy was well looked after and I had complete peace of mind. Lovely to see photo updates , I think she had fun with your beautiful dogs. Thanks for giving Lucy a great time, so much better than any kennel experience, we'd definitely love for Lucy to come again.”

“Rhiannon was amazing, we booked for a weekend stay for our 15 year old dog and he absolutely loved it. I received constant updated with photos. I needed an emergency over night sit as our car broke down and Rhiannon was brill and it wasn't an issue. We shall definitely be visiting again :) 10 stars if I could!”

“Evie is a wonderful sitter and really cares about the dog. She asks relevant questions and tries to ensure the lifestyle of the dog is taken into consideration during their stay. Updates are plentiful and any concerns are addressed/squashed instantly. Biffy is looking forward to spending more time and being fussed by Evie in the future”

About: I have taken care of friend's dogs and owned dogs for the last 20 years. We offer a calm family environment with one 8 year old child who is used to having dogs around. We had a French bulldog for 15 years and now have a very gentle and loving labradoodle who loves the company of other dogs, small and large. We have a good sized fenced garden and have lots of lovely dog walking areas nearby. I work from home so I am able to make sure your dog gets lots of opportunities for toilet breaks and walks 🐾 I work from home and I am here the majority the time to care for your dog. We already have a dog who loves to explore the local area and would love another dog for company. My daughter is a very calm child and we have a very quiet home I have a fenced garden and a very friendly dog who loves playing. We are used to crating dogs so can accommodate that, if its your preference.

About: I enjoy being outdoors and regularly explore the beautiful beaches of Swansea - perfect for keeping your dog happy, active, and engaged. I’d love to meet your dog and give them the best possible time while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages - from cheeky, energetic puppies to senior dogs who need regular medical care and a gentler pace. I’m comfortable with all sizes and breeds, having looked after everything from miniature schnauzers and chihuahuas to retrievers and german shepherds. I live alone with my own dog, Serpico - a friendly 3 year old lurcher cross, who loves playing and socialising with other dogs - so your doggo will always have great company. We follow a consistent routine with morning and evening walks, including time for off-leash runs, but I’m always happy to adapt to suit your dog’s individual needs. As a dog owner myself, I completely understand how it feels to leave your pet in someone else’s care. That’s why I’ll always provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel reassured and relaxed while you’re away. I currently work from home on Mondays and Fridays and will only offer boarding on these days as well as weekends. Which means I have plenty of time to dedicate to your doggo. I usually go for a morning walk with my doggo at either the beach or park, providing space for a good run around. Followed up with a chilled evening walk to wind down. We’re happy to change up our schedule to meet your dog’s needs. I have a fenced garden and a dog of my own, who will act as a sociable playmate. I would love to meet up with you and your dog before boarding to make sure a connection is made with your doggo and that they feel comfortable staying at our home.
“Amy was amazing looking after my dog Jude who was made to feel immediately at home and was given the love and attention you would give your own pet. She checked on all Judes normal daily requirements and accommodated these perfectly. There was plenty of walks and lots of wonderful picture updates leaving me in no doubt that Jude was quite at home. I wouldn't hesitate in using Amy again.”

“kingsley is so kind - even before i’d booked he was already reassuring me, & my mind was put at ease as soon as fred & i arrived at his home that fred was going to be in safe hands. he took him immediately out for a walk to get to know each other, and by the time i was on the train i already had photos waiting for me! i will definitely happily leave fred with kingsley again - thank you so much!!”

About: This is for myself and my Wife Beth. We’ve been around dogs for as long as we can remember, having grown up with dogs in our families from a young age. For the past 6 years, we’ve had a dog of our own and understand the love, care, attention, and routine that dogs need to be happy and comfortable. Over the years, we’ve also regularly cared for dogs belonging to family and friends while they were away, giving us experience with different breeds, personalities, and needs. We’ve always enjoyed looking after dogs and have been encouraged by friends and family to share our experience with others through Rover. “We contacted Hannah through this app and was amazed at the level of professionalism. First spoke to her over the phone to give her an insight of what our cat was like. After agreeing the dates we wanted to book with her, we then drop our little Leo off and had Hannah look after him over the weekend. Our cat can be a pain at times especially at night and bless Hannah she had the patience to deal with his meowing all night. When we did go to pick Leo up, he seemed just as himself and felt at home. We were constantly updated and received pictures whilst we were away which was really reassuring. We’d deffo book with her again as we do go away quite often! 100% recommend! Thank you Hannah!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child when I looked after and went to competitions with my Granny's Border Terrier, Sam. I got the bug and was in high demand as a dog sitter and carer as a teenager, looking after lots of dogs in my town. My parents' collies taught me a lot of what I know, too. I am a very calm, assured dog handler with lots of experience. I am a mature medical student so I am busy but my routine is very flexible and I'm often at home with my head in a book. I am available for boarding and sitting services at the weekend as well as in the week. I have a fenced, grassy garden so dogs can go out and have fresh air. I live with my cat, Dio, who is friendly to dogs. I have space in the house to crate dogs if their routine involves one: I will be led by you. I love walking and live near several parks and not far from the beach.
“Would million % recommend Beth and partner to anyone. Our sandy stayed there from Friday to Monday. She went for long walks across the beach everyday and Beth sent pictures and videos of them. Amazing. Sandy was so comfortable with them and she is a shy dog. Will be using Beth again asap and sandy can’t wait haha”

Rosie was fantastic with our energetic 1 year old Border Collie while we were away at a wedding. She sent lots of updates and photos, which really put me and my partner at ease knowing he was happy and well looked after. It was clear he had plenty of fun and attention. We’d happily leave him with Rosie again and would definitely recommend her.

I cannot recommend Amy highly enough. We met her and her fiance with Bailey prior to her looking after him. He took to her immediately and I could tell how much she loved him as well. While we were away Amy messaged me daily and sent me a photo. We have never left Bailey with anyone before except family and I knew he was being well looked after. We will not hesitate to use Amy again. Thank you so much.
Just picked Mac up after his stay with Kieren. Mac was fabulously relaxed and we found a very happy boy. Mac is a big GSD who Kieren understood and kept chilled. Kieren messaged us with updates. Would wholeheartedly recommend him to look after your pooch. 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾

Our dog had a lovely stay with Mollie. She was great with sending through pictures and updates which helped me relax, knowing that he was being well looked after and having a lovely time. Couldn't have asked for better care of our dogs, they definitely had a home away from home with Nia. Got daily updates (we are worriers) and we were put at ease immediately. The dogs adored their time, it was like they had their own holiday! Will 100% be asking Nia to look after them again.

Wonderful! Our Lucy was well looked after and I had complete peace of mind. Lovely to see photo updates , I think she had fun with your beautiful dogs. Thanks for giving Lucy a great time, so much better than any kennel experience, we'd definitely love for Lucy to come again.

Cae is amazing with animals, Beau (my dog) was really happy staying with Car overnight, I definitely felt though Beau was in excellent hands , I received regular photos and updates, which was so lovely and reassuring! I would certainly recommend him and use Cae again!!
Always a 5⭐️ whenever max stays here! Brilliant communication, max has stayed with Kingsley a good few times now, an when we pull up he knows where he is and gets super excited to see Kingsley! There’s no one else I trust more than to have our special boy! We feel fully relaxed when he’s in his care! Thank you again Kingsley!

Nia looked after our dog Luna while we went to Spain to get married. We couldn’t have been more happy with Nia, Luna absolutely loved her and was so happy with her and well looking after. I came home to a spotless house I would recommend Nia to anyone. Thanks again.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Wales may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
