I’ve grown up with dogs and have always been a huge animal lover. I currently have my own dog, Joey, and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments through Rover. I’ve looked after everything from nervous and anxious dogs who need extra reassurance and patience, to energetic, high-energy dogs who thrive on play, exercise and routine. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, needs and preferences to help them feel safe, comfortable and settled during their stay. I work from home full-time, meaning dogs are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, companionship, toilet breaks and enrichment throughout the day. I only take one guest dog at a time, allowing me to focus on providing individual care and a calm home environment. I have also cared for rescue and previously abused dogs who may need extra patience, understanding and gentle handling. Building trust at their pace is something I take seriously, and I always aim to provide a safe, loving environment where dogs can relax and feel secure. I offer up to two walks per day, including a longer walk after work. If your dog has favourite walking routes, parks or specific exercise preferences, I’ll do my best to accommodate them so they can maintain a familiar routine during their stay. I follow owners’ instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication requirements, training routines and any special requests. My goal is to make your dog’s stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible while giving you peace of mind that they are being cared for like one of my own.
