“Neil recently looked after our senior springer spaniel for a week and we can honestly say, from the moment we meet Neil before Pheobes stay, we knew we made the right decision and she would be in the perfect hands. This is the first time we have left our boy with someone who wasn’t family and the longest time he has been away from us, but she has put us at so much ease. Alzbeta is so kind and loving of our Luffy, and is so understanding of him and recognises his training needs and behaviours. She’s cared for Luffy in every aspect and has made his first little holiday away so magical taking him on nice walks, swimming and meeting new friends. For us she’s kept us updated and let us know how Luffy is getting on, alongside sending us the most lovely photos and videos. “Fab experience with Mandy from start to finish, quick replies setting up meet and greet to meet my dog to start, meet and greet went really good, Mandy showed me around her home and talked a little about her routine would be. Communication continued after meet and greet, then when booking came, Mandy was in contact to arrange times etc. Communication all weekend with pictures and videos of my dog. I will always try and adapt and accommodate your pets needs dependant on their daily/weekly routine. I am happy to assist with drop off and collections As a registered nurse I’m responsible, caring and used to putting wellbeing and safety first. I’ll bring the same level of care and attention to looking after your pet. I understand the importance of following routines, instructions and individual needs, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. Toilet breaks will be as and when your pet needs to go, exactly the same as if it were us! Due to the nature of my profession I am DBS checked.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
