Safety, trust & environment
I have two amazing rescue dogs, Wiggy and Penny, who are my little sidekicks. We go on two walks every day—a shorter one in the morning and a longer, more adventurous one in the evening. They pretty much go everywhere with me, even to work! Wiggy and Penny absolutely love having other dogs around and have gotten along great with every pup they’ve met. I’d be happy to set up a meet-and-greet so you can see for yourself how lovely and friendly they are!

Information Kate W. would like to know about your pet
To ensure I provide the best care for your dog, here’s what would be helpful for me to know: • How does your dog behave around other dogs? • How do they interact with people? • Do they prefer quiet, rural walks or busier, more social urban strolls? • How many walks do they need each day, and what types do they enjoy (e.g., short walks, long hikes, playtime)? • Do they drink a lot during walks or need frequent breaks? • Are there any health conditions I should be aware of? • Does your dog have any allergies (food, environmental, etc.)? • Are they allowed treats, and if so, are there any restrictions? • Is there anything specific you’d like me to work on, such as training or behavior reinforcement? The more details you can share, the better I can tailor my care to your dog’s individual needs!
A typical day
I’m lucky to live in a central location with lots of fantastic walking spots nearby. Some of my favorite places to explore are Swansea Bay, Oxwich Bay, Penllergaer Woods, Singleton & Brynmill Park, Mumbles Hill, and the coastal path. There’s a perfect spot for every dog, and I always make sure to tailor the walks to suit your dog’s preferences—whether they love a relaxed stroll or a more adventurous hike!

Pet care experience
I bring over 5 years of experience as a Senior Kennel Assistant, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I also hold a Level 1 and 2 diploma in Canine First Aid. Growing up in a dog-obsessed household, I was always surrounded by 2–3 furry friends, which gave me a lifelong passion for understanding and caring for animals. Now, founder of 'Sandy Paws Swansea', my dreams have become a reality and I have ran a successful dog walking business for 2-years and counting. Now living near the beautiful beaches of Swansea, I’ve adopted two wonderful rescue dogs, Wiggy and Penny, from Serbia. Helping them transition from life on the streets to becoming confident, well-behaved companions has been incredibly rewarding. Penny’s naturally kind and gentle nature even makes her a comforting presence for more nervous dogs, especially fellow rescues. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take pride in providing patient, compassionate care to ensure their happiness and well-being. Whether it’s a playful outing or some quiet comfort, your dog will be in safe and loving hands with me.

Just perfect! Thank you Kate!

As always, I came home to a happy and relaxed dog. Thanks so much, Kate. You’re a star!

Thanks again Kate, Chester was well looked after and happy to see me. Hope you are able to cat sit for me next time I’m away.

As always Sky had the absolute best weekend with Kate. He had two lovely days out and I know he was treated as one of her own alongside her own two. I was able to have a relaxing weekend safe in the knowledge that Sky was safe and happy. Thanks again, Kate!
