“A big thank you to Hannah for looking after my 3 Kitties. They’ve all got very different needs, with one of them being a kitten, yet Hannah was able to cater to each of them individually. One of my boys is very timid and anxious with anyone other than me, however he warmed up to Hannah very quickly which allowed me to relax on my trips away. I will definitely be using Hannah for my next trip, thanks again”

“Georgina is my first choice when it comes to finding a sitter for my massive dog. She has a wealth of experience with a variety of breeds and behaviours, and is a calming presence for my big boy. I find her communicative and reliable, my boy has some behaviour and medical needs, so having a competent trustworthy sitter is a huge comfort to me and him!”

About: Hi, I am Kate and I'm an 20-year-old uni student who misses their cat and dog immensely. Last year I worked part-time as a nanny and full time in a school and therefore been DBS checked. I have been working towards extending my services to pet sitting more often too. I am most experienced in looking after cats as I have had cats for the last 13 years, so looking after cats and making them feel settled is like second nature to me. Cats are truly one of my favourite animals and so looking after them, no matter what service you are looking for, would be a pleasure. I also own a gorgeous labrador retriever, she is 5 years old and the most energetic dog I have ever met. I have done the majority of the training for her and taken part in extra training classes for puppies too as well as doing overnight stays for dog sitting over multiple nights so feel I would be able to support puppies as well as adult dogs to a high quality.

“Griff was very comfortable with Amelia for her first half-day of care at my home. No problems with walking him on lead and following his feed regime. I'll now use Amelia for a week of house sitting.”

“Sophia looked after our 2 English Bulldogs at our home. It was a last minute booking due to being let down elsewhere. She is absolutely fantastic, our girl can be funny with strangers but she took to Sophia straight away and wouldn't leave her side the entire weekend! We had regular pics, videos and messages for peace of mind, they had regular walks and Sophia also followed the care notes to the letter, giving Hercules his eye drops and cleaning his wrinkles. House was clean and tidy when we got home, we highly recommend Sophia to look after your pets and we will definitely use her again anytime we need a loving caring sitter for our babies! Thank you so much 💓”

“I would definitely without hesitation have Steph back to look after my dog. She kept me updated through the days she stayed at mine - this helped a lot as Banjo is a puppy so I was concerned about leaving him to travel. But there were no issues from the stay and Banjo loved having Steph look after him! Thank you so much Steph!”

About: I grew up on a farm and have always been surrounded by animals, I studied animal care and animal behaviour while at college and i'm more than happy to look after your furry friends 😃 I'm in between jobs so fully flexible and can liase with you to ensure that we work to your schedule in order to keep things as convenient as possible for you. My Cat is an indoor pet, however I grew up in the countryside and very used to feeding and taking dogs outside on a lead.
“Beth is absolutely wonderful! We are new to area. Our 15 year old Claire had a few wobblies few weeks ago. We were going to be away for several hours and did not want to leave her home alone. Beth was so lovely to come to our home staying with Claire for us. We had absolute piece of mind while away. Claire LOVED Beth! She normally will not eat first day we are away in protest. She immediately ate for Beth. That was huge... We will absolutely ask Beth to watch Claire for us again into the future. Thank you again Beth! x”

About: Although I am new to pet sitting professionally, I have grown up around animals and have cared for cats and dogs throughout my life. I have 2 family dogs at home who I regularly care for and spend time with. I am comfortable feeding, walking and following individuals routines, alongside a lot of cuddles! I genuinely love animals and understand the importance of leaving your pets with someone trustworthy. I will always treat your pets as if they were my own. I am starting my Masters degree in September and will be working part time alongside my studies. This means I will have good availability around my commitments, including days off, evenings and weekends. I can be flexible and I am happy to discuss availability with each other to ensure I can provide consistent care for their pet. As I live in a shared professionals house, I am unable to provide boarding or care for pets at my home. However, I am more than happy to provide care in your pets own home, including walking, feeding, playtime and companionship. I will always follow their usual routines and I am happy to provide regular updates while you are away.

About: Owner of multiple cats all my life, of all ages, medical requirements and behavioural needs. Also have experience owning small animals, bearded dragons and aquatics so happy to care for these also. Have some experience dog sitting/walking also. Working full time but have some days off in the week. I drive so more than happy to care for your pet after work and/or on days off if needed. I would sit your pet in your home and would maintain the utmost respect for your property and your pets environment. Have experience sitting a friends cat in their home previously, as well as a family friends dog, and enjoyed sending them pictures and videos to keep them in the loop with the care of their cherished pet as well as prioritising a continuation of their existing routine to cause the least distruption possible 💖🐾
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was little. From walking my neighbours senior dogs to house sitting my friends puppies. I love going on long walks and making sure tails are wagging all the time!! I am currently a uni student at Swansea University so I am very flexible. Whenever you need me i’m there!! Whether you have work during the day or just need an evening off :) On walks I will make sure to keep your pup on a leash unless safe to do so! I have a lot of difficult situations involving other dogs during walks so I will try my best to avoid those and if not resolve them. My house includes a small fenced backyard and is safe for any size companion if needed for boarding.

“Juliette was lovely with Sasha. She was so flexible and understanding when I had some unexpected passport issues, which meant I had to come home for a few days and then extend my trip. She kept me updated throughout Sasha’s stay with lots of pictures and little updates about what they’d been getting up to, which was reassuring while I was away. Sasha looked happy and settled, and it was clear she had a great time with Juliette. I’d definitely recommend Juliette and would happily leave Sasha with her again. Thank you so much for looking after her! 🐾❤️”

About: - Has experience in walking dogs of all sizes - Owns a large dog - Has had volunteer experience in a cat sanctuary with kittens and disabled cats I am currently a university student, and so I generally have flexible hours apart from set times in the week. I am available most weekends. I keep the dog on a leash unless the owner has given permission for the dog to roam. I will not be accepting home boarding requests.
About: I've loved animals since as young as I can remember. My family and I have been very invested in the well-being and safety of animals of all shapes and sizes. I have helped rehabilitate dogs to be able to be adopted as well as rescued and fostered plenty of cats to rehabilitate and find homes for. I have also volunteered at many animal shelters to provide love and care to animals that are unfortunate enough to not have a home, and plan on doing more during my time here at university. I am currently at university, and so certain days I am busy the entire day and others I am completely free. Availability may vary during the year depending on what coursework and assignments I have due, though I am always happy to spend my free time with animals! I have cared for pets all my life and each one is different. Whether your furry friend needs lots of cuddles and naps or running around for hours playing, I'll be more than happy to accommodate whatever they're needs are.
“I read the reviews for Kingsley and he sounded perfect for our Beagle and once we met him we had no worries about leaving Cookie with him. We loved how calm and kind he is and how concerned he was for Cookies needs and welfare. We were also very grateful that he only has one dog at a time as our Beagle is a gentle soul who I different to other dogs and much prefers human company. We received loads of photos and updates from Kingsley and Cookies definitely made herself at home and that is all down to Kingsley and how he interacted and let Cookie do her thing. I have absolutely no worries about leaving Cookie with Kingsley and count ourselves very lucky that we found him and cannot recommend Kingsley enough. Cookie cake.back to us very happy and content.”

About: I’m patient, intuitive, and genuinely enjoy taking the time to build trust with each dog at their own pace. I really value the innocence, gentleness, and sense of play they bring into life. I’m open to caring for both dogs and cats. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I don’t mix them during care. I’m happy to adapt to whatever your pet needs, whether that’s long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or gentle care at home. I take the time to understand each animal as an individual and what helps them feel happiest and most at ease. I have experience caring for rescue dogs and genuinely love creating a safe space they ve always deserved. IMPORTANT-Please let me know if there is anything I need to know about your pets, in terms of special needs or behaviour. Are their recalls good? Can they be off lead? How are they with other dogs? Any Queues i need to look out for? Please note I am a pet sitter not a trainer, do not request if your dog can not respond to their name or aggressive. I work for myself from home. I don't have a rigid structure to my weeks so drop me a msg and see if I am available for the dates you need a sitter. I am willing to do anything that makes your dog happy and feel safe. Whether that is a long walk,a cuddle, play dates with other dogs. I would get to know your dog and see what works best for them.

Holly was absolutely fantastic while house-sitting our puppy, Buffy, over the weekend. From the moment we left, she kept us completely at ease by sending regular photos and updates, so we always knew Buffy was happy, settled, and being well looked after. She also checked in whenever she had any questions, which we really appreciated. When we arrived home, the house was absolutely spotless and Buffy was clearly happy, relaxed, and had been so well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much, Holly, for everything you did this weekend. We would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. Buffy can’t wait to see you again!

Jacob stayed in my home with my dog Tracker. I came home to a very happy dog and tidy home. So grateful to Jacob, he sent multiple videos and updates while I was away. He took Tracker on stimulating walks and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to watch my boy. Thank you so much

Maryanne was great! Burleigh was very happy and enjoyed their time together. He enjoyed nice walks, and seemed very comfortable in the presence of Maryanne’s calm and gentle natured personality. Thank you Maryanne for taking such great care of Burleigh 🙏, we will definitely see you again soon!

This is my third time of booking Ffion and will definitely rebook. I know how happy Albie is in her company from the beautiful photos she sends to put my mind at rest whilst away so I can fully enjoy. My home is left spotless and and I have full consult pet and home are in ultra safe hands xxx

I asked Kingsley if he could stay at my house instead of his as Milo health has deteriorated and he was not well enough to go there and Kingsley was more than happy to do so. I explained Milos extra needs and left an authorisation note for the vets if needed. Milo and mia were has happy as could be and mia loved her cuddles. The dogs were lovely and happy when we returned and Mia was even looking for Kingsley the next morning lol. This is the second time using Kingsley and I wouldn't use anyone else now, had regular updates, kept in touch with any changes with milo and Kingsley really put my mind at ease while we were away.
Cae is such a wonderful doggo sitter. First but definitely not the last time I will use Cae. Came to meet Beau and ask questions which I love. Beau was excited for Cae to come back and see him again. Beau was definitely a happy little man when I got back and had been well behaved. Cae is thoughtful and sent pictures throughout the doggo sitting time and was kind and caring to Beau which is the most important thing. 100% recommend using Cae. Thank you 🤩

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Swansea walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Swansea choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
