“Sophia looked after our 2 English Bulldogs at our home. It was a last minute booking due to being let down elsewhere. She is absolutely fantastic, our girl can be funny with strangers but she took to Sophia straight away and wouldn't leave her side the entire weekend! We had regular pics, videos and messages for peace of mind, they had regular walks and Sophia also followed the care notes to the letter, giving Hercules his eye drops and cleaning his wrinkles. House was clean and tidy when we got home, we highly recommend Sophia to look after your pets and we will definitely use her again anytime we need a loving caring sitter for our babies! Thank you so much 💓”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I'm a caring, patient person who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets, whether that's playing with them, giving them attention, or helping them stick to their usual routine. I work part time in a local school, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and overnight stays. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I aim to provide the utmost level of care and affection. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you'll always know your pet is happy and having a great time. Throughout the day, I make time for play, cuddles, training, and keeping pets engaged and happy. I currently work part-time in a local school so have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve and ensure they feel relaxed, loved, and well looked after. A typical day with me includes plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I love being outdoors and am a confident walker, so your dog can enjoy long, enriching walks and lots of opportunities to explore. If we come back muddy after an adventure, there's no need to worry - I’ll make sure your dog gets cleaned up before settling back in. I also have a small enclosed garden to keep your dog safe if they are staying with me and I'll make sure to keep you updated with messages and photos.

About: Hi I’m Jacob - I’m a masters student and athlete, who is very passionate and experienced with dogs. I enjoy being outside and keeping active, and would be thrilled to take your dog for walks, and give them the attention they deserve! Small/medium sized dogs, and puppies are my expertise but welcome all ages and sizes. I understand how special your furry friend is to you, and I will treat your pet as my own and give it all the love, care and attention they need! The 2 puppers featured in my profile are currently living up in Scotland with my parents, so won’t be with me when I’m caring for your fur babies. The other 2 puppies held up by the young lady (my mom) are the 2 dogs I grew up with and loved so very much! You’ll receive plenty of pupdates from myself during our time together and I look forward to get to know you and your lovely pets! I am in the final stages of finishing my masters, I work from home and alongside my athletic career, I have plenty of time to devote to your pups in the great outdoors - come rain or shine!!!
“Amazing service from Ariana. We were on holiday and wanted to book tickets for the Swansea Arena. She was able to look after our dog Higgins at short notice, he suffers separation anxiety. We dropped him to her and collected him after the show. He had been well looked after and spoilt by the sound of Ariana's report back. Thanks”

“Taboka looked after our two dogs for three night recently, we were very happy with her service. Tabs kept us updated on how our dogs were doing and provided us with some lovely photos too of their adventures together! The house was also tidy on our return ...which is always a bonus. 👍 Thanks again Taboka, we would definitely use your services in the future. 🤗”

About: Friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets since I was around 15, including feeding, bathing, cleaning litter trays, and spending quality time making sure pets feel comfortable and settled. I’m particularly confident caring for cats and understand how important routine, patience, and a calm approach are, especially with younger or more nervous pets. While I haven’t formally cared for dogs yet, I’m very happy and eager to do so. I’m responsible, quick to follow instructions, and committed to learning each pet’s individual needs and routine. I take pet safety seriously, provide regular updates, and always treat animals as if they were my own. What sets me apart is that I’m attentive, reliable, and genuinely care about the wellbeing of the pets I look after - not just completing tasks, but making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away :) (p.s. I have 2 cats of my own) 🐾❗️ I also offer daytime care/house sitting for pets who need company during the day 😊 This is ideal for dogs who aren’t used to being left alone for long periods. As this involves extended hours (e.g. 8+ hours), this is priced as a full-day service rather than my standard overnight rate - feel free to message me to discuss and arrange what works best!❗️🐾 I’m currently not in full-time work so I’m available for any pet services daily from 10am. This includes dog walking, dog/cat sitting at your home and cat boarding. I always prioritise safety, trust, and the comfort of each pet, whether I’m caring for them in my home or in an owner’s home. I follow all care instructions closely and keep routines as consistent as possible so pets feel settled and secure. In my home, cats have a calm, safe environment. My own cats are outdoor cats and are able to go outside freely, however I have a lockable cat flap and can fully accommodate indoor-only cats by keeping them safely indoors at all times. My home is secure, and pets are always supervised appropriately. I also have a fully walled garden away from the main road, providing an extra layer of safety. Pets other than my own are never left unattended outdoors. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I treat the space with respect, ensure doors and windows are secure, and follow feeding, hygiene, and care routines exactly as instructed. I provide regular updates and photos, and I treat every pet as if they were my own, with patience, care, and attention.

About: I’ve had dogs ranging from miniature dachshunds to labradors since I was a baby and in the past year I have been looking after many dogs with my housemate through rover so I am very familiar with the service. I have experience in training puppies as well as caring for medicated older dogs. I have my own car and so love to take the dogs for nice long walks and to beaches too. I am a university student but I have currently finished for the summer so I have lots of free time to show your pets a lot of love. I already go on a lot of walks and beach days and so would love to include dogs to this. I do have a housemate who is also a rover approved sitter and so no dog is ever left alone. I have a fenced garden so lots of freedom in toilet breaks etc. I am also more than happy to have dogs on furniture and in beds so they can stay comfortable in their routine if that’s how they sleep at home. But I do also have crate training experience in order to keep your dog in their own routine.
About: Hi there! I'm Aimee, a 28 year old recent Animation graduate, an avid animal lover and long-term pet sitter with years of experience sitting for cats, dogs and small animals. I personally have experience owning all of the above as part of my family and when I take care of your beloved furry friend I'll treat them with the same love and care! I have experience in medication administration and have experience with senior animals; I'll always respect your pets boundaries (I don't mind if they're grumpy, have a bit of spicy attitude, I've dealt with all kinds of temperaments.) I'm also used to messes and accidents as I have three senior cats and previously had a senior Sprocker spaniel named Lady :') I will always provide you with daily updates and photos no matter the job as I love to know what my babies have been up to when I've needed a sitter before too! Any questions or queries never hesitate to reach out - I look forward to hearing from you! 🐈🐕 As I am a freelance animator and artist after graduating, I have time to dedicate my attention to pet care. I currently care for my three senior cats day to day and have experience caring for other’s fluffy family members in the week too, taking on multiple jobs throughout the week previously. As a pet owner myself, I understand wanting to make sure that your pets will be in safe hands. I will always give my best care and make sure your fluffy family members get as much love, attention and care that they would with yourself. I always follow instructions given as every pet and owner are different, and will ensure your property’s safety too as well as your pets. I take emergency contact details and vet details in the event of anything, and also have experience in administering medications so please know your pets with any health needs will be in the safest of hands. If you have any queries or concerns, I am more than happy to talk/arrange an initial visit so you can meet me properly before you book with myself.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have always been a huge animal lover. I currently have my own dog, Joey, and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments through Rover. I’ve looked after everything from nervous and anxious dogs who need extra reassurance and patience, to energetic, high-energy dogs who thrive on play, exercise and routine. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, needs and preferences to help them feel safe, comfortable and settled during their stay. I work from home full-time, meaning dogs are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, companionship, toilet breaks and enrichment throughout the day. I only take one guest dog at a time, allowing me to focus on providing individual care and a calm home environment. I have also cared for rescue and previously abused dogs who may need extra patience, understanding and gentle handling. Building trust at their pace is something I take seriously, and I always aim to provide a safe, loving environment where dogs can relax and feel secure. I offer up to two walks per day, including a longer walk after work. If your dog has favourite walking routes, parks or specific exercise preferences, I’ll do my best to accommodate them so they can maintain a familiar routine during their stay. I follow owners’ instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication requirements, training routines and any special requests. My goal is to make your dog’s stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible while giving you peace of mind that they are being cared for like one of my own. Happy to arrange a meet & greet before any booking. I work from home full time, so dogs are rarely left alone and I’m able to give regular attention, toilet breaks and walks throughout the day. I’m flexible during weekdays and weekends and happy to fit around your dog’s usual routine to help them feel settled. I offer a calm, safe home environment and only take one guest dog at a time alongside my own friendly dog, Joey. Dogs are introduced carefully on a walk first and fed separately. I follow owners’ instructions closely, keep doors and windows secure, and always prioritise your dog’s comfort, routine and safety. Happy to do a meet & greet beforehand.
“Beth is absolutely wonderful! We are new to area. Our 15 year old Claire had a few wobblies few weeks ago. We were going to be away for several hours and did not want to leave her home alone. Beth was so lovely to come to our home staying with Claire for us. We had absolute piece of mind while away. Claire LOVED Beth! She normally will not eat first day we are away in protest. She immediately ate for Beth. That was huge... We will absolutely ask Beth to watch Claire for us again into the future. Thank you again Beth! x”

“Both of us finally got to leave the house at the same time without the dogs!! Kate looked after our two mini dachshunds for a few hours on Saturday after an introduction a few weeks before. We were a little nervous leaving them as the oldest is blind and can be grumpy and the youngest is a bit clingy but a walk was had and treats were given. Safe to say the boys loved her as Kate is a lovely young woman and very capable which is brilliant as we’ve booked again for this coming weekend when we go to a wedding. We would certainly recommend Kate if you’re looking for someone who understands dogs and loves their company.”

Holly was absolutely fantastic while house-sitting our puppy, Buffy, over the weekend. From the moment we left, she kept us completely at ease by sending regular photos and updates, so we always knew Buffy was happy, settled, and being well looked after. She also checked in whenever she had any questions, which we really appreciated. When we arrived home, the house was absolutely spotless and Buffy was clearly happy, relaxed, and had been so well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much, Holly, for everything you did this weekend. We would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. Buffy can’t wait to see you again!

Jacob stayed in my home with my dog Tracker. I came home to a very happy dog and tidy home. So grateful to Jacob, he sent multiple videos and updates while I was away. He took Tracker on stimulating walks and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to watch my boy. Thank you so much

Maryanne was great! Burleigh was very happy and enjoyed their time together. He enjoyed nice walks, and seemed very comfortable in the presence of Maryanne’s calm and gentle natured personality. Thank you Maryanne for taking such great care of Burleigh 🙏, we will definitely see you again soon!

This is my third time of booking Ffion and will definitely rebook. I know how happy Albie is in her company from the beautiful photos she sends to put my mind at rest whilst away so I can fully enjoy. My home is left spotless and and I have full consult pet and home are in ultra safe hands xxx

House was clean and tidy when we got home, we highly recommend Sophia to look after your pets and we will definitely use her again anytime we need a loving caring sitter for our babies! Thank you so much 💓

I asked Kingsley if he could stay at my house instead of his as Milo health has deteriorated and he was not well enough to go there and Kingsley was more than happy to do so. I explained Milos extra needs and left an authorisation note for the vets if needed. Milo and mia were has happy as could be and mia loved her cuddles. The dogs were lovely and happy when we returned and Mia was even looking for Kingsley the next morning lol. This is the second time using Kingsley and I wouldn't use anyone else now, had regular updates, kept in touch with any changes with milo and Kingsley really put my mind at ease while we were away.
Cae is such a wonderful doggo sitter. First but definitely not the last time I will use Cae. Came to meet Beau and ask questions which I love. Beau was excited for Cae to come back and see him again. Beau was definitely a happy little man when I got back and had been well behaved. Cae is thoughtful and sent pictures throughout the doggo sitting time and was kind and caring to Beau which is the most important thing. 100% recommend using Cae. Thank you 🤩

David's a great dogsitter. He's always punctual and Deedee looks forward to seeing him. He has a calming influence on her (she can be a little excitable sometimes) and I know she will be well-cared for by him. I'd highly recommend David as a dog sitter and have used his services several times.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Swansea walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Swansea choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
