About: We are a retired couple living in Bridgend. We have had dogs all our lives, however unfortunately, we recently lost our beloved Tilly. We are unable to commit to a pet full time, so hoping to help others by inviting theirs to stay with us. We are retired and are home a lot during the day. We are able to go on long walks, down the beach or to our local field. We have a lot of time on our hands, so would love to bring in a new sense of life to our home with your pets keeping us company. We have a closed garden, bungalow where we both live. We do not have children or other pets and are non smokers. We can offer what is required, including administering medication where needed. I was actually a carer for many years, so know the importance of being specific with requirements.

About: Hi, my name is Chelsea and I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember! 🐾 I grew up surrounded by them in Brazil, and because I moved around a lot growing up, animals became a really comforting and familiar part of my life. While living in Spain, I joined an equestrian centre that also worked as a rescue and shelter, where I spent time around and helped care for all kinds of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, birds, reptiles and chickens 👩🏻‍🌾🌾 It gave me a really broad understanding of animal care from a young age and taught me how different every animal can be in terms of personality, confidence and routine. Since turning 18 (I’m currently 22) I’ve also done volunteer work and regularly cared for pets belonging to friends, family and neighbours. I’ve looked after puppies, kittens, older dogs and cats, nervous pets and larger breeds, and I’m comfortable with dog walking, overnight care, feeding medication, bathing, litter trays, enrichment and sticking closely to individual routines. I’m very patient with animals, especially those who need a little extra time to feel comfortable, are nervous around new people, get excitable on walks or are strong on the lead. I’m always happy to go at their pace and get to know what makes them feel safe and settled. I’ve also had pets of my own. My dog Honey was a huge part of my life before she sadly passed away a few years ago, and I currently have a cat called Mila, who is very spoiled and absolutely the light of my life 🐕🐈‍⬛💕 I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, so I’d always want you to feel reassured while you’re away. I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions and all those little habits that make your pet feel at home. I’m more than happy to send regular photos and updates so you can see how they’re getting on 📸🐾 Most importantly, I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable and loved until their favourite person comes home! 🏡 I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I’m able to fit pet care comfortably around my day! I’m available throughout the week and can usually be flexible with timings for walks, drop-in visits and longer stays. I also drive, so I’m able to travel to you and have a little more flexibility when it comes to location and timings 🐾 I’m always happy to work around your pet’s usual routine wherever possible, whether that means an early morning walk, lunchtime company or some extra attention in the evening. When caring for pets in their own home, I always try to keep things as familiar and comfortable for them as possible 💖 I’ll follow your usual feeding, walking, medication and bedtime routines closely, as well as any house rules or specific instructions you leave for me. I’m very mindful of safety on walks and around doors, gates and other animals, and I’ll always take the time to understand your pet’s individual needs beforehand. I’m also respectful of your home and will make sure everything is left clean, tidy and secure. I work full time for the NHS and finish work mostly at 6pm. I can pick up / you can drop off in the evening and am free most weekends. I don’t have any dogs of my own in the house. I have a fully safe private garden. I can either look after your lovely pet in my own home or yours, whichever your loved one feels more comfortable with doing.

“Leila looked after our dog, Rocky, for over 3 weeks whilst we were away from mid December til early January '25. We had to put Rocky in kennels 2 years ago when we were away and it really traumatised him, he is very much happiest when in his own home with just his family around. He doesn't socialise well with other dogs. We were delighted to find someone available over the holidays who could live in and look after our pet. Rocky is an anxious dog and it takes him time to let people near him and touch him, and we expected that the best we could hope for was that Rocky would be left alone, fed and let out into the garden to do his loo business. Leila visited twice in advance to do some test walks with Rocky and let him meet her, this was well worth the time and much appreciated. Leila gave us daily updates on how Rocky was and we were amazed that they were immediately going on walks 2-3 times a day and he bonded with Leila very quickly. Despite it being through the middle of winter, Leila took Rocky out exploring new areas across local fields and footpaths and washed him down afterwards. Leila also gave him his daily meds and took to caring for him in a calm and organised manner, When we returned home, Rocky was sad to see Leila go and we now have to make sure he keeps up his daily exercise regime as he is fitter than when we left. We could not have hoped for better care for Rocky and would definitely recommend Leila as a dog sitter.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life since I was a child. I now have a 2 year old cockapoo called Max who since day one has been very active, energetic and playful! I have had him since he was a puppy so I am very used to providing plenty of attention, love and care. He absolutely loves other dogs. I understand dogs are all different and I can adapt to different needs and breeds. I have previously dog sat in people's homes overnight. I love dog walking and I am a very social person who loves to see dogs happy and content outdoors. I am comfortable to allow off lead and on lead depending on your preference. I am not currently in work so I have plenty of flexible daytime hours to dedicate to caring for your pet, Monday to Friday. Walks and drop in between 9am and 2pm. Evenings are also fine after 5.30pm. Weekends are available if planned more in advance. There is access to the safe fenced garden whenever required and we live next to the very popular Newbridge Fields. I have a fenced, medium size garden and a sociable, crate trained cockapoo at home. We go out everyday to the fields or beach and come home to a warm, relaxed environment where the dogs can play, relax and have their own space if needed.

About: Hey, i’m Laura ! Working in HR as my day job allows me to be flexible working from home in the week. I love being able to look after a dog and have company whilst in the house. Hours are flexible so allow me to go on long walks whenever needed. Im currently working full time, but work from home so have full flexibility on caring for a gorgeous dog at the same time. I am also available for boarding, so will make this available as and when available. I live in a house with a garden and lots of space for your dog to feel relaxed, or cwtched up - whatever they prefer! I will ensure all instructions are adhered to, as with my own, i would want to make sure they had an enjoyable experience without causing them distress with a new face. I’d ask questions to ensure you felt satisfied we had covered everything beforehand.

About: I have 2 beautiful cats at the moment... Ollie and Alfie. They are total opposites of each other which I absolutely love. Ollie loves all of the cwtches and luxury you can give whilst Alfie is out climbing trees in all weather's (he loves the rain lol). I'm 44 years old and I live in a small cottage in the countryside with ducks and Poppy my horse along with my beautiful cats.

Gemma was really lovely and very professional, Ivy was absolutely fine with her and believe me she is a Velcro dog who doesn’t settle easily.
