About: I have had pets all my life. Taking care of big dogs, cats and many other small animals. I am responsible and kind, I have a clean drivers license and a willing to travel. I am often available with an empty schedule and want to spend some more time with animals and nature. I am currently a post graduate looking to begin a career, meaning I have a lot of time to give to your pet love and attention. I have lots of availability and am free to board almost every day. I currently live in a large farmhouse surrounded by countryside, which has a large fenced garden, so plenty of room for your pet to run and play with me.

Danielle looked after our dachshund Frank at very short notice and we honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. We received regular photo updates throughout, and Frank looked so happy, relaxed, and completely at home in her care. Not only did she take amazing care of Frank, but she also went above and beyond by completing household chores and leaving the house absolutely spotless when we returned. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was being so well cared for. A genuinely lovely, trustworthy, and reliable dog sitter, we will definitely be using Danielle again. Thank you so much!

It takes a lot to trust someone with your dog but we knew, from his first interaction with Cabot, that Adam would be someone we’d be comfortable leaving him with and we booked him twice straight away. Cabot got on with Adam from the start and had a great day with him. We received a lot of photos of how they were getting along during the day and what Cabot was doing. Can’t recommend Adam enough.

About: Hi, I'm H. I grew up with dogs and have been around them for most of my life, including caring for my family's sprocker. I spend my free time outdoors, whether that's camping, hiking or cycling around South Wales. I understand every dog has their own personality and routine, and I always aim to provide care that helps them feel safe, relaxed and happy. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight boarding and flexible care after work and on weekends. I'm also fully insured for your peace of mind. A quick note about my profile photos: the sprocker lives with my parents, and the boxer has moved to another home. There are no dogs living with me, so I can offer boarding in a calm, dog-free environment. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member. I'll care for them as if they were my own. I work full time for the NHS and finish work mostly at 6pm. I can pick up / you can drop off in the evening and am free most weekends. I don’t have any dogs of my own in the house. I have a fully safe private garden. I can either look after your lovely pet in my own home or yours, whichever your loved one feels more comfortable with doing.

About: Hello pet parents! I’m Rhiannon an avid animal lover based in Bridgend. Ever since I was young, pets have been a huge part of my life. I know firsthand that pets are family, and my goal is to provide a safe, fun, and comfortable environment so you can enjoy time away with complete peace of mind. Whether your dog needs an energetic run in the park, a leisurely sniffari, or just wants some gentle chin scratches and company, I tailor my visits to fit your pet's exact routine and personality. I am communicative, reliable, and always send plenty of photo updates so you never have to miss a moment. For boarding at my house I can only accept small/small medium dogs as don’t have the space for large dogs but of course for sitting at your house I will look after any size dog! I will be home all day and evening with your pets to ensure they have company all the time. Your pets will be allowed on sofa and bed if that’s what your dog is used to. I have a fenced garden and have two other small dogs to keep your dog company! I have a large park within walking distance from my house.

Gemma came to look after our doodle when we were staying in Porthcawl and going to Cardiff for a gig. Gemma was really lovely and very professional, Ivy was absolutely fine with her and believe me she is a Velcro dog who doesn’t settle easily. Ivy had a lovely walk on the beach with Gemma and she was happy and settled when we returned home. Thanks again Gemma, we will definitely book in with you again when we return.

About: Hey, i’m Laura ! Working in HR as my day job allows me to be flexible working from home in the week. I love being able to look after a dog and have company whilst in the house. Hours are flexible so allow me to go on long walks whenever needed. Im currently working full time, but work from home so have full flexibility on caring for a gorgeous dog at the same time. I live in a house with a garden and lots of space for your dog to feel relaxed, or cwtched up - whatever they prefer! About: Our family dog passed away 2 years ago now, and after spending 11 amazing years with her, I would love to take care of other people’s loved pups as they are most definitely part of the family! Dogs make a massive difference in our lives and we are so lucky to have them as our own! I am currently training as a student midwife and have great caring skills, although for people- but I am able to adapt my skills in different situations. I will always ensure that your pets needs are put first and will ensure they are always taken care of as if they are my own. To note, no additional people will be assisting me to look after your dog. I’m currently a student midwife in university and have lots of free time most evenings and some weekends! I would ensure your pup is cared for correctly and treat them as I would my own :) Due to student accommodation, I would only be able to attend your residence for pet sitting or I love a nice walk! I would ensure they get as much exercise as they need!

About: I have had dogs my whole life since I was a child. I now have a 2 year old cockapoo called Max who since day one has been very active, energetic and playful! I have had him since he was a puppy so I am very used to providing plenty of attention, love and care. He absolutely loves other dogs. I understand dogs are all different and I can adapt to different needs and breeds. I have previously dog sat in people's homes overnight. I love dog walking and I am a very social person who loves to see dogs happy and content outdoors. I am comfortable to allow off lead and on lead depending on your preference. I am not currently in work so I have plenty of flexible daytime hours to dedicate to caring for your pet, Monday to Friday. Walks and drop in between 9am and 2pm. Evenings are also fine after 5.30pm. Weekends are available if planned more in advance. There is access to the safe fenced garden whenever required and we live next to the very popular Newbridge Fields. I have a fenced, medium size garden and a sociable, crate trained cockapoo at home. We go out everyday to the fields or beach and come home to a warm, relaxed environment where the dogs can play, relax and have their own space if needed.

Once again James stayed to look after Rosie and Bea our two chocolate labradors. They love him coming and miss him when he goes. This time however Rosie was taken ill. Due to James swift intervention he took Rosie to the vets and was found to be very poorly. She got treatment immediately which saved her life. We van only thank him for his care and diligence in dealing with an awful situation. We have total faith in him and would highly recommend him to anyone to look after their fur babies.

Keely has been a fantastic dog sitter! She is brilliant with our dog Ted, who loves all her cuddles and fusses. We will definitely be booking her to dog sit for us again in future 😊

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Bridgend on Rover is £43.38 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 752 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bridgend. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bridgend walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bridgend choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
