I cannot thank and recommend Kotryna enough! She looked after my boy for 11 days over Xmas. He loved being around her and trusted her immediately. She gave regular updates and was so easy to communicate with. Marley loved her so much that I will certainly be using her in the future!

Taboka looked after our two dogs for three night recently, we were very happy with her service. Tabs kept us updated on how our dogs were doing and provided us with some lovely photos too of their adventures together! The house was also tidy on our return ...which is always a bonus. 👍 Thanks again Taboka, we would definitely use your services in the future. 🤗

About: Hi I'm a current undergraduate Animal Behaviour and Welfare student with a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Throughout my life, I've owned and cared for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises, turtles, a crested gecko, a conure and the opportunity to volunteer with other small animals in college and various work experience placements, so I would be confident looking after a range of species. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting in the Neath Port Talbot area during weekends, university holidays and bank holidays. As a driver, I can travel through Neath and surrounding areas to provide suitable and reliable care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. My degree and previous work experience placement in a local cattery, pet store and a dog groomer's have helped me expand my understanding of animal Behaviour, Welfare and the individual requirements of each species, which I apply constantly when around every animal. Whether your pet is highly energetic and playful, elderly, or shy, I aim to provide attentive and compassionate care tailored to each of them. I am also Pet First Aid & CPR certified, so able to remain calm under pressure and provide your pets with the best care in an emergency. I understand how important trust is as an animal owner myself when leaving your pets and home in someone else's care. I will always keep you updated, send regular photos of how your pets are doing, follow your instructions carefully to stick to their usual routine as much as possible and treat your pets as if they were my own I look forward to meeting you and your animals! As a student, my availability varies throughout the academic year. I am regularly available on weekends, and available at most weekdays and weekends during university holidays (Easter, Christmas & summer holidays). I can provide dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting during these periods. I am always happy to discuss individual requirements and will always communicate my availability clearly before confirming a booking. Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing will always remain my top priorities. I understand that every animal has its own routine, personality, and needs, and I always take the time to follow owners' instructions carefully, to ensure the best care and wellbeing for your pets. As a Pet First Aid & CPR Certified and Animal Behaviour and Welfare student, I have an understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and recognising signs of stress or illness. I will always monitor your pet closely and contact you immediately if I have any concerns at all. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your property with the same respect I would my own. I aim to maintain your pet's normal routine, provide regular updates and photos, and ensure they feel safe and comfortable while you are away. I am happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to learn about your pet's routine, preferences, medical needs, and any behavioural considerations.

About: This is for myself and my Wife Beth. We’ve been around dogs for as long as we can remember, having grown up with dogs in our families from a young age. For the past 6 years, we’ve had a dog of our own and understand the love, care, attention, and routine that dogs need to be happy and comfortable. Over the years, we’ve also regularly cared for dogs belonging to family and friends while they were away, giving us experience with different breeds, personalities, and needs. We’ve always enjoyed looking after dogs and have been encouraged by friends and family to share our experience with others through Rover. We’re now excited to take the leap and offer a safe, caring, and loving environment for your dog. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, we’ll treat your dog as if they were our own, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. We understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and we’ll do everything we can to make both you and your dog feel comfortable and reassured. We maintain a clean, dog-friendly environment and always ensure dogs are secure and well cared for during their stay. About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I'm a caring, patient person who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets, whether that's playing with them, giving them attention, or helping them stick to their usual routine. I work part time in a local school, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and overnight stays. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I aim to provide the utmost level of care and affection. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you'll always know your pet is happy and having a great time. Throughout the day, I make time for play, cuddles, training, and keeping pets engaged and happy. I currently work part-time in a local school so have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve and ensure they feel relaxed, loved, and well looked after. A typical day with me includes plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I love being outdoors and am a confident walker, so your dog can enjoy long, enriching walks and lots of opportunities to explore. If we come back muddy after an adventure, there's no need to worry - I’ll make sure your dog gets cleaned up before settling back in. I also have a small enclosed garden to keep your dog safe if they are staying with me and I'll make sure to keep you updated with messages and photos.

Sam and her partner George were just brilliant! We made a very last minute booking, and right from the start Sam was responsive and professional. Even though we were tight on time, Sam and George made sure to do a comprehensive meet and greet with Gwen and Bandit, and really took the time to understand their characters and needs. Their experience really shone through, and we were able to feel complete confidence that our dogs and home were in the best possible hands. We know Gwen and Bandit had a fab weekend, and that really helped us to relax! Can't recommend enough, we will absolutely be rebooking in future

Macaulay was absolutely wonderful! He was so professional and lovely to talk to, really responsive and it was clear from the get-go that he was really invested in looking after Gwen and Bandit as well as possible. From the moment we met at the meet and greet, Macaulay got on their level and made the effort to get to know what works for us. We only have amazing things to say- Gwen and Bandit loved having him to look after them, especially playing ball! Knowing that they felt settled and totally at ease was such a weight off our minds, we can't recommend booking Macaulay enough. Thank you!

Sophia looked after our 2 English Bulldogs at our home. It was a last minute booking due to being let down elsewhere. She is absolutely fantastic, our girl can be funny with strangers but she took to Sophia straight away and wouldn't leave her side the entire weekend! We had regular pics, videos and messages for peace of mind, they had regular walks and Sophia also followed the care notes to the letter, giving Hercules his eye drops and cleaning his wrinkles. House was clean and tidy when we got home, we highly recommend Sophia to look after your pets and we will definitely use her again anytime we need a loving caring sitter for our babies! Thank you so much 💓

About: Hi there! I'm Aimee, a 28 year old recent Animation graduate, an avid animal lover and long-term pet sitter with years of experience sitting for cats, dogs and small animals. I personally have experience owning all of the above as part of my family and when I take care of your beloved furry friend I'll treat them with the same love and care!
I have experience in medication administration and have experience with senior animals; I'll always respect your pets boundaries (I don't mind if they're grumpy, have a bit of spicy attitude, I've dealt with all kinds of temperaments.) I'm also used to messes and accidents as I have three senior cats and previously had a senior Sprocker spaniel named Lady :')
I will always provide you with daily updates and photos no matter the job as I love to know what my babies have been up to when I've needed a sitter before too! Any questions or queries never hesitate to reach out - I look forward to hearing from you! 🐈🐕 As I am a freelance animator and artist after graduating, I have time to dedicate my attention to pet care. I currently care for my three senior cats day to day and have experience caring for other’s fluffy family members in the week too, taking on multiple jobs throughout the week previously. As a pet owner myself, I understand wanting to make sure that your pets will be in safe hands. I will always give my best care and make sure your fluffy family members get as much love, attention and care that they would with yourself. I always follow instructions given as every pet and owner are different, and will ensure your property’s safety too as well as your pets. I take emergency contact details and vet details in the event of anything, and also have experience in administering medications so please know your pets with any health needs will be in the safest of hands. If you have any queries or concerns, I am more than happy to talk/arrange an initial visit so you can meet me properly before you book with myself.

I’m a newly graduate so I have plenty of time to play and walk with your dogs and cats I’m available anytime of the week and weekends I have a 5 year old dog myself who is very friendly and loves to play with other dogs a similar age but she is also trained around senior dogs who don’t have the energy and will leave them alone.

I read the reviews for Kingsley and he sounded perfect for our Beagle and once we met him we had no worries about leaving Cookie with him. We loved how calm and kind he is and how concerned he was for Cookies needs and welfare. We were also very grateful that he only has one dog at a time as our Beagle is a gentle soul who I different to other dogs and much prefers human company. We received loads of photos and updates from Kingsley and Cookies definitely made herself at home and that is all down to Kingsley and how he interacted and let Cookie do her thing. I have absolutely no worries about leaving Cookie with Kingsley and count ourselves very lucky that we found him and cannot recommend Kingsley enough. Cookie cake.back to us very happy and content.

About: I’m a uni student and a big dog lover. I have a Jack Russell back home so I know what it’s like to be away from your baby and want the best care for them. I’ve also helped look after my friend’s Jack Russell, so I’m used to high-energy dogs and keeping them happy and active. I’m patient, reliable and I’d honestly love the chance to share some of the love I’m missing from my own dog while making sure yours feels safe, loved and cared for. I’m currently a student at Swansea University and I have classes in the mornings some days and some days in the late afternoon. I’m available to board at the weekends. When I’m in a pet owner’s home, I make sure to respect their space and stick closely to the pet’s usual routine so they feel safe and settled. I pay attention to feeding times, walks, play, and any little quirks the pet might have. I also make sure to give regular updates so owners know their pet is in good hands. Our pets are quite literally our children and so I get that pet owners want updates every 5 seconds. It’s important to me that both the pet and their owner feel comfortable and at ease the whole time.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Neath Port Talbot walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Neath Port Talbot choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
