“Georgina is my first choice when it comes to finding a sitter for my massive dog. She has a wealth of experience with a variety of breeds and behaviours, and is a calming presence for my big boy. I find her communicative and reliable, my boy has some behaviour and medical needs, so having a competent trustworthy sitter is a huge comfort to me and him!”

“Sam and George house sat with our dog. he’s our world so leaving him was incredibly hard but from the first meet and greet, Albie loved them and I felt so confident in leaving him in their capable and loving hands. Our home was treated with the utmost respect and it was great to come home from our trip to a clean home. I would most definitely rebook them both ❤️”

“Taboka looked after our two dogs for three night recently, we were very happy with her service. Tabs kept us updated on how our dogs were doing and provided us with some lovely photos too of their adventures together! The house was also tidy on our return ...which is always a bonus. 👍 Thanks again Taboka, we would definitely use your services in the future. 🤗”

“I cannot thank and recommend Kotryna enough! She looked after my boy for 11 days over Xmas. He loved being around her and trusted her immediately. She gave regular updates and was so easy to communicate with. Marley loved her so much that I will certainly be using her in the future!”

“Mandy looked after our chihuahua, Theo for a few days during the heatwave and helped put our minds at ease throughout. She gave regular updates, pictures and videos making sure Theo was comfortable and only walked during the cooler periods of the day.”

“Sophia looked after our 2 English Bulldogs at our home. It was a last minute booking due to being let down elsewhere. She is absolutely fantastic, our girl can be funny with strangers but she took to Sophia straight away and wouldn't leave her side the entire weekend! We had regular pics, videos and messages for peace of mind, they had regular walks and Sophia also followed the care notes to the letter, giving Hercules his eye drops and cleaning his wrinkles. House was clean and tidy when we got home, we highly recommend Sophia to look after your pets and we will definitely use her again anytime we need a loving caring sitter for our babies! Thank you so much 💓”

“Holly followed Bluebell’s care instructions and respected the house - sent me updates and photos whilst I was away, asking questions where she needed to. Very happy with the care provided.”

“Hiruth was great and helped us out to look after Scout and Apollo really well. They both had a great time and it was a much better alternative to using kennels which Scout in particular does not enjoy.”

“I read the reviews for Kingsley and he sounded perfect for our Beagle and once we met him we had no worries about leaving Cookie with him. We loved how calm and kind he is and how concerned he was for Cookies needs and welfare. We were also very grateful that he only has one dog at a time as our Beagle is a gentle soul who I different to other dogs and much prefers human company. We received loads of photos and updates from Kingsley and Cookies definitely made herself at home and that is all down to Kingsley and how he interacted and let Cookie do her thing. I have absolutely no worries about leaving Cookie with Kingsley and count ourselves very lucky that we found him and cannot recommend Kingsley enough. Cookie cake.back to us very happy and content.”

“Juliette was lovely with Sasha. She was so flexible and understanding when I had some unexpected passport issues, which meant I had to come home for a few days and then extend my trip. She kept me updated throughout Sasha’s stay with lots of pictures and little updates about what they’d been getting up to, which was reassuring while I was away. Sasha looked happy and settled, and it was clear she had a great time with Juliette. I’d definitely recommend Juliette and would happily leave Sasha with her again. Thank you so much for looking after her! 🐾❤️”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Neath Port Talbot
I rebooked Sam and thankfully I managed to get a date she was available! Throughout the day I received comforting updates and photos which meant I could relax knowing Albie was well cared for. On returning home, our house was as I left it and Albie was super relaxed and happy! Definitely recommend for peace of mind xxx

Beth & Chris are absolutely amazing! I trusted them with my girl, who I haven’t left for longer than a few days here and there for 5 years!! Betsie has loads of meds, including tablets and eye drops - she is a senior girl, with one eye - fair play to them both for giving meds, and looking after her needs, Beth even had to take Betsie to the vets whilst I was away! And cannot thank her enough for quickly springing into action putting Betsie’s needs first. I would highly recommend them both, and wouldn’t hesitate to book them again, they are simply amazing, attentive and genuinely care for your fur baby like their own! Thank you so so much love from me & Betsie x

- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Neath Port Talbot choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
