About: This is for myself and my Wife Beth. We’ve been around dogs for as long as we can remember, having grown up with dogs in our families from a young age. For the past 6 years, we’ve had a dog of our own and understand the love, care, attention, and routine that dogs need to be happy and comfortable. Over the years, we’ve also regularly cared for dogs belonging to family and friends while they were away, giving us experience with different breeds, personalities, and needs. We’ve always enjoyed looking after dogs and have been encouraged by friends and family to share our experience with others through Rover. We’re now excited to take the leap and offer a safe, caring, and loving environment for your dog. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, we’ll treat your dog as if they were our own, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. We understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and we’ll do everything we can to make both you and your dog feel comfortable and reassured. Our property benefits from a gated driveway at the front and a fully fenced and secure garden at the rear, providing a safe outdoor space for supervised play and exercise. We maintain a clean, dog-friendly environment and always ensure dogs are secure and well cared for during their stay. We understand that every dog is different, so we’ll take the time to learn about their routine, preferences, and any specific needs to help them feel comfortable and settled while they’re with us.

About: Hi I'm a current undergraduate Animal Behaviour and Welfare student with a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Throughout my life, I've owned and cared for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises, turtles, a crested gecko, a conure and the opportunity to volunteer with other small animals in college and various work experience placements, so I would be confident looking after a range of species. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting in the Neath Port Talbot area during weekends, university holidays and bank holidays. As a driver, I can travel through Neath and surrounding areas to provide suitable and reliable care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. My degree and previous work experience placement in a local cattery, pet store and a dog groomer's have helped me expand my understanding of animal Behaviour, Welfare and the individual requirements of each species, which I apply constantly when around every animal. Whether your pet is highly energetic and playful, elderly, or shy, I aim to provide attentive and compassionate care tailored to each of them. I am also Pet First Aid & CPR certified, so able to remain calm under pressure and provide your pets with the best care in an emergency. I understand how important trust is as an animal owner myself when leaving your pets and home in someone else's care. I will always keep you updated, send regular photos of how your pets are doing, follow your instructions carefully to stick to their usual routine as much as possible and treat your pets as if they were my own I look forward to meeting you and your animals! As a student, my availability varies throughout the academic year. I am regularly available on weekends, and available at most weekdays and weekends during university holidays (Easter, Christmas & summer holidays). I can provide dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting during these periods. I am always happy to discuss individual requirements and will always communicate my availability clearly before confirming a booking. Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing will always remain my top priorities. I understand that every animal has its own routine, personality, and needs, and I always take the time to follow owners' instructions carefully, to ensure the best care and wellbeing for your pets. As a Pet First Aid & CPR Certified and Animal Behaviour and Welfare student, I have an understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and recognising signs of stress or illness. I will always monitor your pet closely and contact you immediately if I have any concerns at all. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your property with the same respect I would my own. I aim to maintain your pet's normal routine, provide regular updates and photos, and ensure they feel safe and comfortable while you are away. I am happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to learn about your pet's routine, preferences, medical needs, and any behavioural considerations.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes very naturally to me. Alongside my energetic 15-month-old Golden Retriever, I also have my 5-year-old rescue dog, Sandy, who came from a breeding background. Caring for Sandy has given me valuable experience in patience, trust-building, and understanding dogs who may need extra reassurance, gentleness, and time to feel safe and settled. I have experience with both high-energy young dogs and those who need a calmer, more sensitive approach. I understand the structure, consistency, and training reinforcement younger dogs need, while also recognising how important routine, security, and emotional comfort are for rescue dogs. Every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm and reassuring environment, I adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I’m very attentive, reliable, and genuinely treat every dog as if they were my own. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, so I always make sure owners feel reassured with regular updates, photos, and honest communication. What sets me apart is that I don’t see this as just pet sitting—I genuinely love dogs and the companionship they bring. Their wellbeing, safety, and happiness always come first, and I aim to create a home-from-home environment where they feel relaxed, loved, and cared for. I am working full time at the moment but hoping to eventually do this full time. I work shifts and only work 3 days a week, so have a lot of flexibility. I make sure every dog feels comfortable, secure, and settled by sticking as closely as possible to their usual routine—whether that’s feeding times, walk schedules, playtime, medication, or simply where they like to sleep. I know how important familiarity is, especially for anxious or rescue dogs, so I always take time to build trust and let them settle at their own pace. In my home, I provide a clean, safe, and relaxed environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. There is plenty of attention, supervision, and affection, with space for both play and quiet time depending on the dog’s personality and needs. In a pet owner’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s space, ensuring everything is kept exactly how they would want it. I’m reliable, attentive, and always communicate clearly, providing regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else requires a lot of trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is always to make pets feel happy, safe, and loved while giving owners complete peace of mind.

Mandy is a great pet sitter, we will be booking her again next time we go away. Both cats liked her straight away, she took notes of the cats needs and schedules. We were kept updated at every visit while away. Everything was left clean and tidy and 2 very happy cats. We could enjoy our trip knowing the cats and house were well looked after.

About: I’m a uni student and a big dog lover. I have a Jack Russell back home so I know what it’s like to be away from your baby and want the best care for them. I’ve also helped look after my friend’s Jack Russell, so I’m used to high-energy dogs and keeping them happy and active. I’m patient, reliable and I’d honestly love the chance to share some of the love I’m missing from my own dog while making sure yours feels safe, loved and cared for. I’m currently a student at Swansea University and I have classes in the mornings some days and some days in the late afternoon. I’m available to board at the weekends. When I’m in a pet owner’s home, I make sure to respect their space and stick closely to the pet’s usual routine so they feel safe and settled. I pay attention to feeding times, walks, play, and any little quirks the pet might have. I also make sure to give regular updates so owners know their pet is in good hands. Our pets are quite literally our children and so I get that pet owners want updates every 5 seconds. It’s important to me that both the pet and their owner feel comfortable and at ease the whole time.

I cannot thank and recommend Ffion enough. We usually ask parents to feed and tend to our cat when we go away, however, decided to use Ffion due to her other fantastic reviews and that she was local to us. Communication with Ffion was fantastic, we met face to face before we agreed to go ahead with the booking which put both of us at ease. When we were away I would have regular updates from Ffion and some lovely photos and videos which again put my mind at rest when away knowing she was receiving such wonderful care. I would not hesitate to use Ffion again in the future and would recommend her 100%

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Neath Port Talbot choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
