Leaving Dougie for a whole week was something we were really worried about. As a high-energy Golden Retriever, he can be quite a handful, and we’d never left him with anyone outside the family before. From the moment Hannah started looking after him, though, all of those worries disappeared. She went above and beyond to make sure Dougie was happy, well cared for, and that we felt completely at ease while we were away. The regular updates, photos, and messages meant so much to us. Seeing our boy having such a great time on his adventures and looking so relaxed and content allowed us to truly enjoy our holiday. It’s clear how much Hannah genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she looks after. Dougie absolutely adored his time with her, and it was obvious he received the same love, attention, and care that he gets at home. We’re incredibly grateful for everything Hannah did for our boy and honestly wouldn’t consider leaving him with anyone else in the future. We couldn’t recommend her more highly. We can’t thank Hannah enough, and we’re sure Doug is already counting down the days until he sees you again 🤣

About: I have over 9 years of experience caring for dogs in home and local settings. I am DBS checked, insured, and trained in pet first aid. I specialise in older and nervous dogs, providing calm, patient care and keeping their routines consistent. I offer walking, feeding, medication routines, and a safe, relaxed environment. Being in a rural area allows for quiet, low-stress walks. My aim is to provide reliable, caring support so every dog feels safe and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my day as I plan my routine around visits, so I always have enough time for each pet. I’ve been caring for animals for years, so it’s part of my normal lifestyle rather than something separate. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to do morning, daytime, or evening visits. I always make sure pets, especially older or nervous ones, are given calm, unhurried care and feel comfortable while their owners are away. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and keep their normal routine. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding times, litter tray cleaning, fresh water, and any specific care needs. I take a calm and gentle approach, especially with older or nervous pets, and always let them set the pace for interaction. If a pet enjoys company, I’ll spend time playing or sitting with them; if they prefer space, I simply make sure they’re safe and settled. I also do a quick wellbeing check during each visit and make sure the home is left clean, secure, and exactly as I found it.

Angharad was just phenomenal from start to finish, it was so wonderful to know I was going away for the weekend and didn't have to worry for a moment about the pets as I knew they were in safe hands and that they would be pampered and cared for as if they were her own. I will be booking Angharad again in a heartbeat xxx

Sian recently stayed in our home to look after our dog, Lyla, while we were away getting married, and she was absolutely wonderful. From the very beginning, her communication was reassuring—she sent thoughtful updates and photos so we could relax and enjoy our day knowing Lyla was happy and safe. We came home to a spotless house and a very content dog. It was clear Sian treated both Lyla and our home with genuine care and affection, which meant so much on such an important occasion. We can’t recommend Sian highly enough and would book her again in a heartbeat for any future trips

Jacquline was brilliant with my 2 Mini Daschunds, Nev and Chilli. She provided regular pup dates with pictures of my Fur babies, provided regular walks and understood the needs of a dacshund which involved lots of cuddles and people contact. She arrived early and a good handover was left for a seamless house sit. Jacqueline also left the place tidy and my 2 fur babies were well looked after. I would strongly recommend Jacquline for house sitting or looking after your dog. Many thanks Jacqueline.

About: With 12 years of hands-on experience, I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, parrots, fish, chinchillas, rats, and a degu. I treat every pet as if they were my own — providing personalised attentive care, playtime, feeding, and affection tailored to their needs. Whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, or small exotic pet, you can rely on me to keep them happy, safe, and well-loved. I’m a student, but animals are my greatest passion and joy in life. I’m highly flexible with my schedule and can always make time for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays. Nothing brings me more happiness than caring for pets, so I prioritize their needs and happiness every day. Animals mean the world to me, so I give them my full attention and loving care at all times. I treat every pet with patience, respect, and kindness — just as I would children. In my home (or yours), I provide a safe, clean, and enriching environment. I’m happy to walk, feed, play, and offer companionship whenever needed.

About: I’ve always been a dog lover and have grown up with dogs in my family home, so caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Since moving out, I now have my own Golden Retriever, Owen, who is full of energy and love. Through looking after him (and many family dogs over the years), I’ve learned how important it is to give dogs not just the basics, but plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles too! I know how much dogs mean to their families, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Whether it’s keeping them company, going on long walks, or making sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away, I’d love to help care for your furry friend. I work full-time during the week, but my weekends are dedicated entirely to dogs and their adventures! From long walks along the local beaches, peaceful strolls around the lake, to exciting explorations in the forest, I love making sure dogs get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and fun. No matter the breed or need, I’m here to give your pup a happy, active, and love-filled weekend. Your dog’s safety and happiness are always my top priority. I have a secure, dog-friendly garden where they can relax and play safely, as well as plenty of opportunities for regular walks to enjoy the outdoors. My Golden Retriever, Owen, is very gentle and sociable, and he loves the company of other dogs, making him a great playmate for new furry friends. You can trust that your dog will be cared for in a safe, loving, and welcoming environment.

About: I grew up on a farm with three border collie crosses and a variety of other animals. My extended family’s dogs were also frequent visitors and ranged from small breeds to large working breeds. This gave me knowledge and experience working with dogs of different intelligences, activity levels and needs. Furthermore, I helped care for all my border collies from puppies to elderly with all three living to ages 11, 13 and 16. Giving me experience and knowledge from initial puppy training to caring for dogs with poor health and additional needs. Currently I am the proud mum of a miniature labradoodle puppy who is extremely social with both dogs and people. She lives with myself and my Dad in our 4 bedroom house with enclosed and secured garden. We are situated near Loughor estuary where I walk daily and have several dog friendly pubs, cafes and parks nearby. Your fur baby will be welcomed into our home and spoiled as badly as mine! You’ll feel safe knowing that as you enjoy your holiday, your dog will be on their’s too. Being well looked after and having an amazing time, I’ll even send you regular pupdates to put your mind at ease. I’m currently working from home as a post-graduate student researcher, where I work within my own schedule and have flexible working times. This means I am able to prioritise the needs of my dog and any others within my care. I schedule my day around the dog, allowing them to lead and will always fit in a daily walk, routine meal times and multiple opportunities for play, rest and cuddles. I have a fenced and enclosed back garden with a dog friendly house, situated in a friendly neighbourhood. I have my own fur baby who is friendly and sociable, to keep yours company during their stay. Furthermore, our neighbourhood is filled with friendly and sociable dogs who we regularly meet whilst out walking and will happily welcome your fur baby to our area. I am able to accommodate crates, if this is what your fur baby is used to and have multiple areas within the home where this can be set up to provide comfortable and relaxing spaces for your fur baby.

About: I’ve looked after several dogs and cats in the last few years of varying ages and sizes, both at my home and the owner’s. Most recently, I sat for a very cute Lurcher puppy at his home three days a week, for four months last summer, helping to toilet and crate train him, and playing with him throughout the day while ensuring he got enough rest. I have looked after him on the odd occasion since and he is always very excited to see me. I have also looked after an 11 year old Dalmatian on three different occasions for 3-6 weeks at a time and we have formed a close bond. He feels comfortable in my home and needs quite a lot exercise so we enjoy lots of long walks together. When I first looked after him he could be quite reactive and would pull on the lead a lot, but we have done quite a bit of work together and he is much calmer now. I’ve also had the pleasure of caring for the sweetest 11 year old Miniature Schnauzer on several occasions for a few days at a time, making lots of time for snuggles but also taking her down to the beach where she loves to explore. I’ve also housesat for friends and family, looking after their cats while they were on holiday. My friend’s cats were quite nervous so I was happy to take their lead on how close I got. While they were wary to begin with, they would happily sit with me and let me stroke them by the end of the week. My friends have asked me to catsit again this September. All in all, the fact that owners have trusted me to look after their pets for long periods of time and on more than one occasion shows that I am reliable and will care for your pet like they are my own, with the utmost love, care and attention. The owners have also appreciated the regular updates and pictures I send and I will always make sure to do the same for you. I work from home four days a week and can be flexible on location so am happy to come to yours or look after your pet at my house. I’m available during the week and at weekends for quick drop ins, a full day or for boarding, from one night to several weeks at a time if required. I have a large, enclosed garden for your pet to have a good run around if needed. There are also lots of good walks nearby, including a park and the beach is nearby. I live alone and don’t have any pets or children, so can provide a calm, secure space. My work is quite flexible so I can make time to play with your pet and show them the love and attention they need. Also happy to crate if required.

About: I run a full-time doggie daycare, overnight dog boarding, and dog walking business based in Gowerton, serving clients across Swansea, including Mumbles, Sketty, and Clydach. With 6 years of experience working with all breeds, I’m passionate about providing tailored, loving care to meet the needs of every dog and their owner. Dog Walking Services For group walks, I offer 1-hour or 2-hour sessions, which I typically schedule for midday (around 12/1 PM). These walks are a fantastic way for dogs to socialize while exploring beautiful locations. For solo walks, I aim to accommodate your schedule, but these usually take place in the mornings (10/11 AM) or later in the afternoon (3/4/5 PM). Solo walks are priced slightly higher at £17 per hour due to the exclusive time booked for your dog. Day Boarding/Day Care My day boarding services run Monday to Friday, where I pick up dogs between 8/9 AM and drop them back off around 4/5 PM. This service offers a full 8-hour day packed with fun, socialization, and exercise. I take a group of 6–8 dogs on bespoke walks to beaches, woodlands, and mountains, allowing them to explore different environments. At home, they can socialize further, play with toys, and relax in my secure house and garden. Many of my dogs are regulars who are friendly, playful, and enjoy their time together. Overnight Boarding Overnight boarding is also available for those needing care beyond the day. Dogs stay in my home and are treated like family, with plenty of love, attention, and comfort during their stay. Transportation I offer pick-up and drop-off services for all my clients, making it easy and convenient for you. Think of it as a “doggy school bus,” ensuring your pet gets to their destination safely and happily! Pricing Here’s a general breakdown of my services (prices may vary depending on location and pick-up/drop-off requirements): Dog Walk – Group (1 hour): £14 Dog Walk – Solo (1 hour): £17 Day Care (8 hours): £35 Overnight Boarding: £50 For households with multiple dogs or block bookings, I also offer discounts to make my services more affordable. Having recently moved to Pontardawe from Gowerton, I’ve retained my wonderful client base across Swansea and look forward to continuing to care for the amazing dogs I work with. My goal is always to ensure your pet is safe, happy, and has the best experience possible! I work full time as a dog walker, doggie day care and overnight boarder. My business is called Ellie Mae’s Dog Walking. I dedicate my life to ensuring your dogs have the best lives! I have a fully fenced, large back garden, providing the pups with lots of room to play. We have lots of toys and games to keep the pups occupied. We also have loads of local walks, as well as forest walks and beaches around by us! I also am fully insured, enhanced DBS checked and licensed.

About: I’m a big dog lover of all breeds and sizes. There may be some sitters who fear larger breeds but that’s not me. I’m happy and confident with all aspects of medical care with dogs too. I’ve had dogs through my life including rescue dogs with more complex needs. I’ve been informally house and dog sitting for friends, colleagues and referred friends for a while now and I really enjoy it. I don’t have a dog of my own (garden isn’t dog ready) so this has been a great way for me to interact, earn some extra money and give owners the peace of mind that their loved pooch is being cared for in their own homes. I work remotely which gives me lots of flexibility on where I can work. All I ask is that you have a dining table or desk and a good WiFi connection! I’ll care for your pet at your home in whichever way works best for you and them. You set the expectations and plan of care and I’ll follow it.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Carmarthenshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carmarthenshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
