“Beth was fantastic, really easy to communicate with and Nellie loved her staying to keep her company. She looked after her really well in the heatwave! We’d absolutely use her again and recommend anyone else too.”

“Wow! Hannah was more than perfect. We have alot going on personally and my 3 boys have had a few behaviour changes, very nervous and protective. Hannah took it all in her stride and I could tell the boys felt extremely comfortable. Hannah sent regular updates and beautiful pictures of my boys, I felt so comfortable with them in her care. Have already discussed re booking, im sure my boys are looking forward to the next visit. Thank you Hannah”
“Hayley looked after our dogs whilst on holidays for an evening and they had a lovely time. Lots of regular updates and photos to reassure us. Great communication before and during the stay. Highly recommend”

“Danni was absolutely amazing with my beautiful girl , it was very hard to leave her but Broni fell in love with her and that’s all I needed to know . Danni visited us a few times before she house sat for us to help ease the upset , but she sent me daily updates and videos to reassure me but when we arrived home I knew she had been well looked after and cared for . I will definitely be asking her to care for my girl again .”

About: Hi, I’m Ashley 🌻 I’m a full time dog walker covering Haverfordwest and the surrounding areas. I’ve always had a deep love for dogs (and all animals in general), and I share my life with my 12 year old dog and 4 year old cat who mean the world to me. I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs and cats, also through volunteering at Greenacres Rescue and Many tears animal rescue, as well as running my own pet care business. I also grew up surrounded by animals, so I have a strong understanding of their needs, behaviour, and body language. I always care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they’re safe, happy and well looked after. Looking forward to hearing from you 🐾 Pet care is my full time focus, so it fits into my daily routine as I spend my days walking, playing with, and caring for animals. I love keeping owners connected, so I’ll send you regular photos and videos to show how your pet is doing. We also have live GPS updates so you can follow along on the walks/pet visits

About: I’ve looked after dogs my whole life, we have fostered dogs from animal rescues, rescued dogs that have been lost or abandoned and cared for our own. I have special skills in looking after puppy’s, older dogs and also ones who need some extra help. i currently work for the NHS as a student, I will have time in the evenings, through the day and on the weekends to care for your pets. I will only be offering my services when I am not in work so your pets will get my full attention. I’m my own home we have a secure garden where my own 5 dogs run around and play on a daily basis. If I am staying at your home I will take your dog outside and watch them to make sure they are okay, I can easily put them in the crate and provide anything they need to be comfortable.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Pembrokeshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pembrokeshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
