“Daisy loves having over night stays with yves and her partner nick. They really look after her and she honestly has the best time with them. They ventured to the Christmas markets and even bought her a little jumper which she absolutely adores! Yves is great at communication and sends lots of photos so I am updated regularly on how she is doing. Every photo she just looks so happy and content and I know she is in safe and wonderful hands being looked after by them. Amazing sitters, highly recommend!”

“Hi, Erin was fantastic with Guinness, she was on time and sent updates to us. When we went to collect Guinness he seemed very happy with Erin. Also very good communication. We will be using Erin again and would highly recommend her. 👍🐕🦺🐕🦺”

“Bracken loved being with Talita and she was wonderful with him. Fabulous enriching walks, lots of chill time lounging in the sun and also fun with her dog. Great communication and updates. Highly recommended.”

“Betsy had a lovely time with Anneka. She was well cared for and enjoyed her walks and getting to know Anneka’s family. We enjoyed receiving daily photo updates which showed just how caring and attentive Anneka was. Thank you Anneka!”

“Our energetic 5 month old Lab puppy was so well cared for, and we received regular photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was obvious our puppy was happy, well exercised, and given plenty of attention and affection. Thank you”

“Hubble had a wonderful time with Kerry. I was updated regularly and I could see that Kerry took our dog walking to different places every day. Hubble was definitely happy and relaxed with Kerry. Would highly recommend.”

“Angela is such a caring person, and both she and her husband are absolutely lovely. Archie was extremely well looked after during his stay and it was clear he was happy, relaxed and in very good hands. We would happily send Archie on holiday to stay with them again without hesitation. They are genuinely lovely people and we cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“Darren has been excellent with our Marlon. We were very nervous as Marlon didn’t have a great start to life and can be very anxious and we have never left him before. Before we even got an hour away from dropping him off I received videos and pictures of Marlon with his tail wagging happy as anything, he didn’t even pay attention to the fact we were gone! Marlon is a bit nervous when it comes to people but Darren was very gentle and patient and by the end of our meet and greet before the stay Marlon was comfortable letting Darren stroke him etc. Darren has updated us throughout the stay with pictures and videos and our dog is as happy as anything playing with his lovely dog Frank. He made sure we were all happy before the stay and showed us where Marlon would be staying and that we could bring whatever we needed to make Marlon’s stay comfortable. He has been excellent from start to finish and I can’t fault a single thing. It has given us so much piece of mind. Thank you so much!”

“Josie is absolutely fabulous. If you want your dog to have a wonderful holiday as well, this is your lady. She sent lots of photos, so we could see what a great time Tilly was having with funny comments that made us laugh. Josey had 2 lovely boys who loved on Tilly so much it was perfect. Pretty sure if Tilly could pack her bag she would be going back ASAP. I cannot recommend Josey enough and we already have more breaks booked with her.”

About: Hi, I've been a mum to furbabies for over 25 years and would like to offer the same mum experience to your pets while you're away from home. My Boston Terrier Griff, Frenchie Margot, and cats Riley & Rosa would stay at home with family while I was with yours. Having said that, Griff and Margot are always up for playdates if it were suitable to you I can be fully at home from Fri evening to Tuesday early morning. I may be able to book additional days as annual leave with 6 weeks or more notice I will ensure your pets have the same routine and service that they have with you so that they won't be disrupted or unsettled while you're away from home
“From the first day we met Daniel, we knew we could trust her. And our intuition didn't disappoint us. We entrusted our dogs to her for nine nights. We received photos and stayed in touch the entire time, on vacation is the most important thing, knowing that everything is alright. We recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you again.”

“Nan and her flatmate are patient and kind with my beloved cats. They regularly kept me updated with photos and videos. Their attentiveness ensures that they understand my cats' needs and promptly inform me if any observed behaviors (e.g. toilet patterns) require my attention. Additionally, they respond to messages quickly, so I’m never left waiting for long. I truly appreciate the time and care they dedicate to my pets and would highly recommend them to any pet owner looking for attentive and patient caregivers.”

“I can tell when Tommy has had a good time and when he’s had a great time… and he’s definitely had a great time with James! James saved me when I had a last-minute emergency and needed someone to look after Tommy. He kept me updated throughout and took fantastic care of him. Thanks again!”

“Kimber is amazing! My little pup was very well taken care of & always looked so happy and cozy in all of the pictures she sent. I'm sure my dog has made a new friend :) Thank you so much for taking such great care of him!!”

“Cannot thank Izzy enough for the care shown to Cooper while we had to go away for a week. His first time with someone outside of the family and he thoroughly enjoyed his time with Izzy and her family. He was shown love like he was a member of their family and we were sent regular pup-dates showing him having the best time. We were unsure he would want to leave their beautiful home and fields. Would recommend Izzy to anyone who needs someone to look after their dogs. We will definitely be using Izzy again in the future. Thank you so much!”

Erin & Steve were great! They are very welcoming & friendly and our dachshund, Sausage, was relaxed with them in no time. Its not always like that, as she can be very anxious and challenging when left with anybody else at all. They've showed real patience! We will be using them again and they are lovely people.

Darran was fantastic. From the very first meet and greet, he was clear, honest, and reassuring about how he would care for Otis. He gave Otis the perfect balance of calm care and plenty of stimulation, and it was obvious that Otis was happy and well looked after. I received several updates each day, which meant I could completely relax and enjoy my holiday, knowing Otis was having a great time too. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Darran again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.

Maisie had a great time with Maria and her family. Maria is clearly a 'doggie- person' and Maisie took to her straight away. We were sent several videos and messages so would have been reassured that all was going well had we been concerned, but we weren't, as Maisie seemed right at home from the start. Thank you Maria - Maisie is really looking forward to her next stay!
My dog Bertie took to Yves immediately and settled in within a few minutes when we left him with her for the first time. He usually takes several hours to settle in to a new place. Yves communicated regularly and sent lots of updates. She took great care of Bertie and he clearly adores her.

Eleanor is amazing. She kindly looked after our black lab with just a few days notice, for the day. Flash, our labrador, only ever stayed with friends once, when she was very young, so shy to stay with other people. When we collected her that evening, she was a happy dog and certainly seemed to have a great time. Im sure she was worried at first , understandably. I would absolutely contact Eleanor again to look after Flash. Thank you so very much, not only did you make the day easier for Flash, but for us too, was such a busy day.
Gabby had a great time with James and his room mates. They took good care of her and she came home her usual, happy self. This was her first time spending time away from us. We had lots of photos, videos and updates. Would definitely recommend, and Gabby will already be having another holiday with them soon!

This was our first time leaving our 1 year old pup and we were going away for 2 nights 3 hours from home and very nervous and worried as our pup has serious attachment issues. Danielle put us at ease immediately upon us meeting. Our dog loved her immediately, and we got very regular texts and pictures and updates and it was so so worth the extra cost. Highly recommend her. Her love of animals is so sincere and she’s lovely. Will definitely be sending out pup on his holidays again . Claire & Steve

Jill and Gregg are absolutely brilliant. My first time using their services and I wasn't disappointed! Kept in contact, lots of pictures and updates. Questions about her if they weren't sure. I will definitely look forward to booking them again as will Ruby. She had the queen treatment she deserves.

Erin has been a fantastic dog sitter- reliable, caring and clearly loves dogs. Obie was happy, well looked after and I received great updates while I was away. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Erin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and professional.

Megan was responsive and very caring, enthusiastic with our dog Sandy. Appropriately in touch with updates, made us and him feel very at ease and he had a lovely time. Understanding when our return was slightly delayed and even dropped him home! Would not hesitate to use again and recommend. Thanks Megan.
Absolutely amazing service from Katie. It was my first time leaving my boy with anyone else and Katie made me and blue feel at ease! Blue has a pretty rigorous routine due to allergies and he came back in amazing condition and I’ve never seen him so tired meaning lots and lots of walks! Katie made sure she had his routine noted correctly upon arrival and kept me updated every day with photos of blue looking settled, happy and getting lots of walks and attention. Would rebook in a heartbeat. Thanks again 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
