About: Hi, I'm Gemma! I'm 40 and a lifelong dog lover. I've grown up with dogs and have regularly looked after friends' dogs over the years, so I'm now excited to offer a home-from-home service to other dog owners. I have a lovely Labrador called Ginny, who is almost 10 years old. She's extremely friendly, calm and absolutely loves meeting other dogs. She's very well trained, non-aggressive and easy-going...although she's a also a typical lab who's definitely easily won over with a bit of food and attention! I live with my partner, Joe, in a comfortable, dog-friendly home where visiting dogs can relax and feel part of the family. Dogs are welcome on the sofa and will sleep downstairs, so they can settle into a familiar and relaxed routine. We have a fully secure back garden and we're in a fantastic location for dog walks. There's an open field and woodland area directly opposite our home, with beaches and a canal also within walking distance as well as plenty of other wooded areas to explore. I also have a secure car suitable for transporting dogs, so I'm happy to take dogs out for walks or adventures further afield when appropriate. I'm happy to care for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages, provided they are house-trained and not destructive or prone to chewing. I only take a maximum of two visiting dogs at a time, so I can give each dog plenty of individual attention and make sure they feel comfortable and settled. I'm at home all day from Friday through Sunday. During the week I work during school hours, so my weekday availability is more limited. My aim is to give your dog a safe, relaxed and loving home while you're away with plenty of attention, cuddles, lovely walks and, of course, the occasional treat! I'd always be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so we can make sure your dog and Ginny are a good match. My routine allows me to offer the most availability from Friday through Sunday, when I’m at home all day and can give dogs plenty of attention, company and regular walks. During the week I work during school hours, so my availability is more limited during the daytime. I’m happy to work around each dog’s usual routine as much as possible, including their normal feeding, exercise and rest times. I’m also able to provide a calm, relaxed home environment where dogs can settle into their own routine while they’re staying with me. Your dog’s safety and happiness are really important to me. I have a fully secure back garden and live opposite an open field and woodland with beaches, a canal and other lovely walking areas all nearby. I only care for a maximum of two visiting dogs at a time, so I can give each dog plenty of individual attention. My Labrador, Ginny, is almost 10, extremely friendly and relaxed, very well trained and non-aggressive, and gets on well with other dogs. Dogs staying with me are welcome on the sofa and sleep downstairs in our home, so they can feel comfortable and part of the family. I also have a secure car suitable for travelling with dogs. I’m happy to follow each dog’s usual routine and care requirements, and I’d always recommend a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure everyone is comfortable and that the dogs are a good match.

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have trained a number of dogs including my own dogs and feel confident supporting a wide range of needs, from energetic puppies who need plenty of stimulation to older dogs who enjoy a gentler pace and extra cuddles. We are a very animal loving family made up of myself, my husband and our daughter, who has grown up around animals and understands how to be kind, gentle and respectful with them. Our home offers a genuine home from home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We share our home with Rosie, our 14 year old Collie x Poodle, Daisy, our 1 year old Labrador Retriever and our 16 year old Cat Bella who tends to keep herself to herself. As you'll see from the photos, they are very happy, friendly dogs and a huge part of our family. They both enjoy the company of other dogs and are used to sharing their space. We have a secure, good sized garden for safe outdoor play and love exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside, beaches and woodland walks. Whether your dog enjoys adventures, games or simply relaxing at home, we'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. Both my husband and I between us ensure one of us work from home each day of the week, which means dogs in our care have company and supervision for the vast majority of the day. Aside from short school runs or quick errands, someone is usually at home. If your dog is unable to be left alone, please get in touch as we can often accommodate this too. I know how important it is to feel completely confident that your pet is safe, happy and loved while you're away. Whether you're heading off on holiday, need regular daycare, or are visiting North Devon and want to enjoy an activity where dogs can't join, we would be delighted to help. Any dog staying with us will be treated as an honorary member of the family, with plenty of affection, attention and care. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is having a wonderful time. As a dog owner, I use pet sitters myself when we travel, so I completely understand how difficult it can feel leaving your dog with someone new. I'm always happy to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet so you can feel reassured that we're the right fit for your dog. I'm not the best at remembering to take photos of myself, but I've included some of our favourite pictures, along with our garden and a few snapshots from adventures with Rosie and Daisy. I hope they give you a feel for the happy, dog loving home we can offer. We both work from home, meaning your dog will have company and supervision for the vast majority of the time (around 95%), aside from short periods such as school runs or quick errands. We always prioritise being with any dog in our care, ensuring they feel settled, safe and never left for long periods. If they could not be left we can also work with this! I understand how important it is to feel your pet is safe and happy, whether you’re away on holiday or just need support during the day. If a working day our dogs get 2 - 3 walks a day from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in a range of different settings. We can meet any timetable for feeding required. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs that will support in keeping your pup entertained and engaged in games (they love tug of war and ball games!) and lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. We live in a quiet estate. We also can offer quiet area’s of the house if they need a little downtime to themselves where we can sit with them if required away from our pups.

Having previously owned three wonderful dogs of my own, I deeply understand canine behaviour, different energy levels, and how important a consistent routine is for a dog's happiness. Neighbours and family members frequently rely on me for dedicated dog walking, feeding schedules and bath times. I am also fully comfortable and experienced with managing medical needs, whether that involves administering oral medications, following strict supplement schedules, or caring for senior dogs who need a gentler touch. Whether your pup needs a high-energy walk, structured play, or a cosy environment for holiday care. I provide a safe and loving home away from home. I am fully committed to treating your dog like a member of my own family. I am also a proud parent to two indoor cats who live with me full-time. However, please do not worry if your pup isn't a fan of felines! My home layout allows me to easily separate them, and I am more than happy to fully accommodate and adjust my routine for dogs that do not like cats. Your dog's safety, health, and comfort are my absolute top priorities. As I do not work currently I have full-time flexibility to dedicate my entire day to your pet's specific routine and needs. Whether they require flexible drop-off times, mid-day attention, or constant companionship, I can easily adapt my schedule to suit yours perfectly. To provide the absolute best care possible, I am currently completing Animal Care Courses. Your pet’s safety is my absolute top priority. I maintain close supervision at all times. I actively monitor all playtime, ensuring your pet is safe when enjoying toys or chewable treats. When heading out for walks, I double check that they have the appropriate gear whether that is a collar or harness. For their protection, I keep all dogs firmly on the lead unless you explicitly specify that they have reliable recall and are allowed off lead. When at home, I always make sure they are also supervised outside in the garden as well.

About: Georgie is a responsible, caring dog walker and sitter. Planning a move to Ilfracombe and seeking autumn/winter dog company and income. Available for WALKIES (& drop ins) before 8:30 and from 18:30 and SLEEPOVERS aka overnight boarding in owners’ home. She grew up with the beloved family Labradors, and todays family dog is Cockapoo, Jogge, Georgie loves the dog walks and being outside a lot. She has also cared for a pack of 3 Afghan hounds and 2 Westies, and 4 awesome poodles. Georgie is happy to walk, wash, groom, feed, play and fuss your dogs 😊 Get in touch ☺️ With additional work as a part time massage therapist, Georgie is available most regularly for dog walking and sitting before 8:30am and after 18:30, and night sits. (With sometimes a shift at a second job 9:30-13:45 or 14:00-18:00) Unfortunately, I haven't got the capacity to be caring for pets in my own home. I can do dog walks or dog sitting in the owner's home.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and adore them! Now that I’m older I have a rescue dog, a jack russell called Pip, who is my best friend! My sister and brother both have jack russells and I look after them both when they need me too! I currently work part time. I am free after 4 Monday Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and all day Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday! I will always make time for your pooches! I have a lovely fenced and private garden for your pups to play in aswell as my jack russell pip who will be their new friend!
