“Mireia was fab- she obviously loves cats and gave lovely detailed feedback after every visit with plenty of photos. I can see our cat has been very well cared for and I would definitely rebook Mireia to look after him whenever needed in the future. Highly recommended.”

“This is the second time we have used Lisa, and she's been amazing both times. This time we were away for 10 days and were so happy that Lisa was looking after Diego and José. We had had 2 daily visits with updates and lovely pics every time. Lisa goes above and beyond, even putting our bins out! What a star! Would recommend 1000% and will be using her for all our time away from the kitties. Dan & Kate ❤️❤️❤️😸😸😸👍👍👍”

I will ensure your furry friend is safe, happy, and well looked after while you are away! I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time to visit your pets or take your dogs for long, energetic walks. I am highly punctual and can easily adapt to your preferred routine, whether you need a morning stroll or an afternoon check-in. Safety is my top priority. During drop-in visits, I strictly follow all owner instructions regarding feeding and home security. When walking dogs, I always keep them securely on a leash, avoid unsafe areas, and stay fully focused on their well-being at all times.

“Kat looked after our cat Beans for two weeks while we were away on holiday. Kat was very quick at getting in touch when we first enquired and she was very good at communicating with us whilst we were away. She came twice a day to feed and play with Beans and sent us pictures to reassure us he was doing fine during the heatwave and he was still being his usual greedy chops at meal times. Beans was happy and well fed when we came back and we will be happy to book Kat again when we next need it. We have no hesitation in recommending her.”

About: Schwmae, Alicia here! I am a highly experienced pet sitter & dog walker with 10+ years of cat ownership and expansive pet-care experience, including looking after dogs, cats, sheep, chickens and even some Icelandic horses! I have cared for amazing pets across the UK, Ireland and Germany, which has been an incredible way to travel the world, connect with new people and enjoy spending time around the most wonderful animals! Working for a local social enterprise that promotes accessible cycling has given me strong community values, excellent local knowledge, and a reliable, active lifestyle. I travel by bike whenever possible, allowing me to provide punctual, eco-conscious care for your pets. Back in Ireland I have four darling cats, all with differing personalities and needs, so I am expert in gauging pet behaviour and giving care accordingly. Under my high-standard supervision, I assure to always: -Feed pets adhering to your specific measurements, dietary requirements and allergies -Constantly provide fresh drinking water and refill frequently -Give all medicine as prescribed -Maintain all litter boxes -Give lots of love, attention and time to your pet (in a way that suits your pet best) NB - I am absolutely more than happy to meet you (and your pet) before sitting to ensure contentment and clarity between all parties - just pop me a message! I also start work at 11:00 am most weekdays, making morning walks and drop-in visits easy to accommodate. I’m hoping to reduce my working hours further in the near future, allowing me even more availability for study and pet care. I live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment with access to a fantastic private terrace featuring a large grassy area on the rooftop. This provides a safe and convenient outdoor space where your dog can stretch their legs or your cat can enjoy some fresh air (if they're used to being outdoors and with your permission). I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. About: Hi, my name is Maddie and I love cats and dogs! I come from a family of cat-people, so I've looked after five family cats in my life, and a dog. Currently I live with my partner and our 10-year-old cat Sooty. In 2019, I took-up pet-sitting alongside my studies at university and regularly looked after three chihuahuas. Now, I'm settled in a job and I'm looking to take up pet-sitting again. I've recently had a few cat-sitting jobs and really enjoyed it. I'm able to provide dog walking, drop-in visits and overnight stays for cats and dogs. I'm also happy to provide additional house-sitting duties - let me know what help you need! I'm happy to see to your pet before and after my day at work. I often finish work early, so I have plenty of time in the afternoon and evenings for extra time with your pet. You can be reassured that your pet is in good hands. I have over 15 years of experience looking after my own pets, family pets and providing pet-sitting services for my community. I'm also a registered volunteer dog-walker with Cardiff Dogs Home. Would you like to have daily updates about your pets well-being? I'm happy to do that and send lots of pictures. Would you rather forget about home and enjoy your time on holiday? I'll respect that, but I will always be in contact regarding any potential health issues. Let me know what works best for you!
About: I have been around animals all my life and have a fondness for many. I have had experience taking care of dogs and cats of different size and ages and feel comfortable looking after them. I would make sure your pets are very cared for! I am soon to finish my uni course which means I will have more availability to take care of your pets! I am someone who gets up early and can walk dogs around 6:30am and also finish my usual tasks by 3:30pm. I can comfortably keep your pets safe at your home and I am willing to follow your safety instructions for your pets. I will make sure your pets are comfortable and that they have everything they need.
About: I have a rescue cat which has been with me for 6 years. The mother of the cat abandoned her when she was only 2 weeks old so I had to feed her milk from the bottle, make sure she can do her toilet properly and keep her warm while she was going to sleep. Alongside that I have looked after several other animals such as tortoises, birds and dogs. I’m the happiest when I’m around animals. I just finished my 1st year in Cardiff uni so I’m mainly free to take care of your little ones as home sits or in the afternoons. Regardless of whether your pet is well trained or not I would like you to know that I won’t be letting them off the lead throughout their time with me. I will make sure to keep you updated during the time they’re with me through photos and videos. I will make sure they get good exercise and their safety/happiness would be at the forefront of my mind at all times.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs, specifically cats, between the ages of about 8-18! I’ve also helped with newborn bulldog puppy and kitten care, including overnight feedings, playtimes and toilet breaks. I’m currently studying full time at uni, but my campus is easily accessible and my schedule is very much self-made, as it’s all coursework and art based! As someone who has three bulldogs at home, one whom has many health issues, making adjustments to support their needs was especially important! Coming from a family who own a dog-walking field, and are trained in dog health and safety, I know at least the basics of caring for your pet!
“Bianca kept me updated daily on how Molly and Flo were, 2 cats with very different personalities. She looked after them well. I would definately recommend her will be asking her to look after Molly and Flo in the future.”

“Meowser was obviously very well looked after, she was content and happy when I arrived back from travel. Poppy was great, communication was good and she sent many photos. Cat litter was nice and tidy when I arrived back. Great job!”

“Lydia has looked after my three cats with care and attention to all their needs. She has also left everything clean and tidy.I appreciated all her updates and photos. I would be happy to have Lydia again if she would like to come. Thank you.”

“Martha is so lovely, Meg instantly took to her as she obviously adores dogs. Could not have asked for anyone better and we had total confidence in her. Thank you so much Martha we will definitely use you again if we come to Cardiff.”

We're so happy to have found Molly to visit our cat when we go away. She is happy to pop in, change litter and even had the tricky task of administering last minute eye drops when our cat developed an eye ulcer. Nothing is too much trouble and I would recommend her every time. Thanks again Molly xx

Rhiannon was fantastic. I would highly recommend. She provided daily updates and plenty of pictures, which was so reassuring while I was away. Additionally one of the cats had broken a plant pot while I was away and she dealt with that and made sure the cats were all fine. The cats seemed relaxed and happy when I came home. I’ve now found my go to cat sitter!

Always great having Samantha check in on Oreo. It’s lovely having someone who’s on the same wavelength and gives her plenty of love and attention while I’m away. Communication is always excellent, with regular updates and photos, which gives real peace of mind. I’d 100% recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

Ceri was brilliant at every step of the process - easy to communicate with ahead of time and pro-active with asking questions as needed while I was away. The only downside was that she’s a far better photographer than I am 😂 10/10 - would heartily recommend booking with her.

Becky was a fabulous sitter who managed to make friends with my very shy house cat. She popped in every day and sent regular updates. This was much appreciated as she was looking after Alice during the heat wave! She reassured me that all was well and took perfect care. I highly recommend Becky.

Rhos was great looking after our 2 furbabies, keeping us updated following each visit & sending us photos / videos. Rhos was thourough learning about our cats & their routines on the pre visit & handled our shy cat really well, knowing exactly what to do to win him over in a short time - he even let Rhos giving him some fusses ☺️ Would recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
