I have experience caring for dogs and cats across the entire confidence spectrum, from nervous pets who prefer to hide away, to those who demand attention the moment they meet you! I currently have two beautiful indoor rescue cats of my own, Cassi and Suki, who have very different personalities and needs. I have also had a rescue dog who came from a very difficult background and, with patience and consistency, blossomed into a confident and happy boy. I understand that every pet is different, and I always adapt my approach to suit them. Some pets need plenty of space and reassurance, while others might want lots of playtime, attention and cuddles! I respect each animal's boundaries and allow them to build trust at their own pace, without ever forcing interaction. I have a particular understanding of nervous and anxious cats and dogs. I know that progress isn't always linear, and that sometimes simply taking snacks, coming out of hiding, or allowing you to sit nearby can be a huge achievement. My priority is always to help your pet feel safe, comfortable and settled while you're away. My experience includes: Dogs of all sizes, ages and energy levels Indoor and outdoor cats with a range of personalities and behavioural needs Nervous, shy and anxious pets Administering oral medication, including tablets and liquid medication Playtime, enrichment and companionship Litter tray cleaning and general pet care Giving pets plenty of attention, reassurance and affection when they want it I am happy to follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medication, playtime and any specific instructions you leave for me. Home Visits / Dog Walking– 30 minutes Each visit includes/can include: Feeding and refreshing water Cleaning litter trays or dealing with any toilet needs Playtime and enrichment Taking out for chilled or high energy walks, depending on dog's needs Plenty of attention, affection and companionship Administering oral medication if required Checking that everything is safe and secure before I leave Following any specific care instructions or routines you provide I can bring parcels in if needed too ❤️ House Sitting / Pet Sitting When looking after your pets in your own house, my aim is to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. Including feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, walks, playtime, enrichment, medication and plenty of companionship. I’ll also keep an eye on your home while you’re away and follow any instructions you leave regarding things such as bins, post, plants or other small household tasks. Whether your pet is confident and outgoing or needs a little more time to feel comfortable around someone new, I will always treat them with patience, kindness and respect.
