I work from home and have plenty of time during my day to care for pets, whether that is something as simple as topping up the water bowl, or going out for a walk, my schedule is very flexible. Julie works office hours, Monday to Thursday, and is home in time for any evening walks we take the dogs on. We love to visit new places with the dogs, and have often visited the beach on the weekend with a dog accompanying us for the ride.

We care for each lovely dog as if they were our own. We are a warm friendly couple who can easily adjust to different dog traits and are able to provide the attention and care your pup needs. We have a fenced garden so are able to leave the door open for any bathroom breaks safely or if your dog just wants to have a sniff around. We are very attentive and have no issue with a dog who may want to cuddle up on the sofa or in bed but will follow owners instructions around furniture rules to match the daily practice your dog is accustomed to at home. We always take regular walks with all dogs we look after, normally one in the morning, one in the evening, but are flexible if your dog prefers a different routine. Our home has toys, quality treats, cooling mat, doggy towel, doggy shampoos, adjustable height feeding bowls and live a few steps away from a local pet supplies shop so would be able to run quickly and get supplies if you need us to! ☺️

A typical day
We love to go for morning and evening walks, we visit a variety of places to do so, so your pup won't get bored and gets to explore new places. If your dog is ok in the car, we also like to go a bit further afield and visit the beach, our favourites being Lyme Regis and Exmouth.

Pet care experience
My wife Julie and I are lifelong dog lovers who both grew up around dogs and can’t wait to welcome one of our own in the future. In the meantime, we’ve loved caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities through walking, sitting, and overnight stays. From regular walks with a little Dachshund whose owners need an extra hand, to caring for a gentle Newfoundland while her pilot owner is away for work, we’re very used to having dogs as part of our daily live, and honestly, our home rarely feels complete without one around! We understand how important it is to leave your dog with people you trust, so we always aim to provide a safe, loving, and relaxed home away from home experience, with plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime and walks or routines tailored to their needs.

Thank you to Josh and Julie who have truly spoiled Rebel on his first stay with them. They have gone above and beyond to look after him and to ensure that he did not go without his cuddles. We cannot thank them enough and look forward to the next time he goes to stay with them.
Josh and Julie were so incredible with Boo! It was our first time leaving her and she can be quite anxious, so we were a bit nervous. They made Boo feel comfortable so quickly and she clearly had the best time with them. We really appreciated the regular updates and it was so reassuring seeing how much love she was getting. I knew she would be cared for but Josh and Julie go above and beyond to treat your dog as if she’s their own. We would absolutely recommend them, especially if you or your dog are a bit anxious about the experience. Thank you both so much!
Joshua was absolutely amazing looking after Nala today. Thank you so much for all the updates, pictures and videos throughout the day — it was so lovely and reassuring to see how happy and well cared for she was. It’s clear that Joshua genuinely cares and goes above and beyond. Nala had a wonderful time, and we felt completely at ease knowing she was in such great hands. We’re incredibly grateful and would highly recommend Joshua ☺️
We left our cavapoo Maxie for his first over night stay with Joshua and Julie this weekend, and we couldn't be happier we picked them! It was maxies first ever night away from us that wasnt with family, we received lovely pup-dates that helped put us at ease & he looked like he had a wonderful time! Hes already booked back in - thankyou so much!
