When collecting him yesterday, I felt he enjoyed himself that much that he didn’t want to leave. “Andre was amazing - welcoming when we first went to see his place with Loki, tolerant when we were held up on collection, and warm throughout. Loki had an amazing time despite it being the record heatwave - the first time he’s looked a little disappointed to be coming back home. Andre’s garden is vast and beautifully set away from the beaten track so there’s room for the dogs to run and breathe. Andre even made a makeshift pool to help Loki cool in the summer sun. Would highly recommend and have already rebooked!”

Max was treated to special homemade food, and Francisco kept me updated by sending some pictures while I was away. There was medication to administer, and Francisco was incredibly helpful in ensuring I felt reassured throughout Max's stay. It was a great experience, and Francisco is an excellent dog sitter. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
