“Nicole was amazing! She came round before the booking to meet out cats and they immediately warmed to her. Nicole, sent lots of pictures of our cats getting all the cuddles and affection they could ever want and they were super happy to have her looking after them! Nicole was also very informative and had great communication letting us know our cats were safe and well looked after. We would definitely book with Nicole again!”

About: I have always been a huge animal lover and I adore looking after furry friends. I have recently moved to Bristol after living most of my life in Edinburgh. I fully work from home so I will always be around to look after your pet and keep them company. I have had experience looking after different types of dogs which range in sizes and activity level. This includes a borador and ex-racing greyhound. I also have experience looking after cats for my extended family and have a huge soft spot for them. I am happy to look after your pet at your own home and I am planning to open boarding at my own home later down the line. I can follow any routine you may have with your pet and accommodate any special needs they may require. I am also very happy to send regular updates with what they have been up to and include photos to lessen any worry you may have. I currently work from home so will always be available to look after, keep company and play with your pet. I am also able to go on longer adventures on Friday, Saturday and Sundays as I do not work on these days. I typically take dogs for a minimum of 3 walks a day (however I will be happy to adjust this either way to suit your pet). I will stick to your pets usual routine to help them feel as comfortable and normal as possible while their favorite human(s) are away.

About: Friendly, reliable, and punctual! I’ve been a dog owner and animal lover my whole life, as well as a dog/cat sitter for friends and neighbours throughout my teen years. I have a very flexible schedule that allows me hours that may be difficult for others. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! Incredibly flexible. Available all hours of day and night. I can show up as frequently as you would like and am willing to stay overnight anytime. I want to make your pet feel safe and loved. No job is too big or too small, just let me know and I’ll make it happen!
“Becky was incredible. She is friendly, sends frequent updates, super communicative, and I could not have asked for better. Absolutely would recommend Becky for your needs and will be using her the next time I need care for my little pooch. Thank you Becky <3”

About: From the age of 7, I’ve constantly been surrounded by dogs. From owning 2 of my own, to fostering many in between, I’ve developed a passion for looking after dog. I’ve also gained experience in walking them, playing with them, and overall caring for them. I’m currently studying art and design in college from Mondays - Wednesdays each week; leaving me plenty of free time for dog walking! Any time from Thursday - Sunday I’d be happy to walk, check up on, and take care of anyone’s dogs. My house is very spacious, allowing lots of room for any doggies to explore. My garden is also very large, safely fenced off, with lots of sniffs to be sniffed.

“Incredibly professional and communicative. Charlotte was prompt and showed care. There was a misunderstanding but she was was quick to respond and correct it. Highly recommended.”

“Gemma was a really great dog sitter. Gemma’s communication was excellent before the visit and she was clearly experienced at looking after dogs. Gemma kept my young puppy well occupied during the visit and had a very calming presence - my puppy was very happy to be with her. I would definitely recommend!”

About: Hello! I've had 5 years of experience with dogs' aftercare, and around 13 years with cats. Since childhood I always fed and looked after street animals in my hometown. And my friends could rely on me to check in with their pets, feed, clean and look after them. Additionally, I shortly had an experience of looking after a senior dog. I am currently working full-time, I am available for boarding and house sitting or animal care/ dog walks on the weekends, evenings, and Mondays. I can offer pets lots of attention, companionship, and dedicated care. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, keep pets safe and comfortable, and make sure they feel relaxed and loved while in my care.
About: I’ve grown up fully immersed in the presence of animals and I have always taken on roles in their care. I have a dog called Nala at home and I love nothing more than spending time with her whether that be playing with her toys, going out for walks or simply cuddling on the sofa. I also have cats at home who likewise enjoy their playtime but also fusses on my knee. I’ve had work experience placement at a veterinary clinic so I’m also aware of aspects of care such as senior care and proper handling techniques. Although I am a veterinary nursing student at university I have days where I don’t have in person classes therefore making me available throughout the day and some days I’m home by 12pm, as well as having my weekends spare. I am very vigilant when it comes to pet safety especially with having grown up in a home with indoor cats, therefore I will take any safety measures you have in place very seriously. Due to my vet nursing course I have done placement at veterinary clinics therefore I’m aware of safe and proper handling techniques as well as signs to be aware of in other dogs when out on walks.
“Rafa has been an excellent cat sitter. She sent us daily updates throughout the hot weather, she is very approachable, friendly and caring of Wes. Rafa was also willing to look out for our plants and make sure they were watered. I hope Rafa will be around for more cat sitting this summer!”

“Pamela was fantastic with our elderly Cat Gracie, she was helpful and watered the plants whilst we were away too! Gracie got lots of love and affection and that’s all we could’ve asked for. Thank you, we would highly recommend Pamela to anybody else and we will use her again when we next go away.. 🙂”

“Ellie was great at looking after Boo and Nellie while we spent the weekend at Forwards. She dropped in on the dogs periodically, giving them a quick walk, feeding them in the evening and keeping us updated. We wouldn't hesitate to ask for Ellie's help again and recommend her if you're looking for dog care.”

“Bethany was absolutely amazing with our cat Pepper while we were away on holiday! There were regular updates of how he was getting, including lots of pictures and videos! He seemed very happy and content while we were away, and was even really happy and comfortable with Bethany from the first meeting which is unlike him, so that was another real positive for us! We got home and although Pepper was happy to see us, you could tell he hadn’t really missed us too much which is a credit to how well Bethany looked after him. Cannot recommend her enough!”

“Sarah a brilliant sitter for us - her communication was great and she sent photos and updates everyday. She was also very flexible with us especially in accepting the booking fairly last minute. Would definitely book again!”

“Mariana was amazing with our 9month old pup who took to her straight away!! Mariana is now going to v regularly visiting our pup and we're delighted to have found her. Highly recommend”

“Sarah is absolutely wonderful with my cat, Benji! This was my third time booking her, and it’s clear Benji loves her — he even flopped over for belly rubs! Sarah took time to play with him and kept me updated. Highly recommend!”

About: Most of my experience looking after mine and my friends fur babies have been with mainly cats and dogs, but I have always had pets through my life, be that dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, birds, snakes, even the odd frog! My friends tend to go straight to me first when needing their little ones looked after as they know I very much enjoy it and they can trust me. They’re a huge part of our families and it would be my honour to get to know and take care of yours, if you so choose 🥰 Also happy to take on pets that need that little extra time and patients 🧡 I work from home with no set rota, so I’m very flexible and open to working out a set basis, or changeable care if you would like. I am happy to walk or take public transport to your property. Happy for meet and greets before we go ahead to make sure they're comfortable with me! If you're happy for me to be in your property I am more than comfortable to do so, so your little ones are in their safe place.

About: Hi, I'm a 25 year old currently studying Veterinary medicine. Dogs have always been an integral part of my life. We have had dogs in our family since I was 7 and there are few things I enjoy more than getting to spend time with them! I have two years of experience as a volunteer dog walker and socialiser for the RSPCA. So I am well used to caring for a range of breeds and catering for dogs with various needs and requirements. Additionally, I've frequently looked after dogs belonging to neighbours & family friends. During my time at university I have continued to regularly take care of dogs, including weekly house sitting and walking. References available on request. I'm currently taking a year out to apply for Veterinary medicine, I am likely to be working part time, but beyond that my schedule will be very flexible. While dog sitting I will make sure your dogs receive plenty of companionship and attention. I will ensure they are kept mentally stimulated and entertained, through playing with toys and/or any other enrichment activities. I really enjoy dog walking, so would be more than happy to take your dog on regular walks around where you live or to any nearby parks.

Sarah was absolutely fantastic looking after our little guy while we were away for our wedding! She was punctual, consistent and very informative throughout the time she was looking after our cat. Highly recommend and will definitely be contacting Sarah again in the future if we need someone to look after the little devil!

I was looking for a sitter who would give my cat lots of cuddles and attention, and she definitely wasn't short of either while in Natasha's care. Seeing videos of Melia purring away and feeling safe was brilliant! I highly recommend Natasha as a trustworthy, reliable cat sitter. She is perfect for anyone looking for someone who won't just feed their cat, but will also provide excellent care and an abundance of affection.

I'm so happy I booked Sophie in to check on my kitties whilst I was away for the night - she sent me lots of updates and pictures/videos which made me feel so much more comfortable being away! Will definitely be booking her again when I'm next away 😊 thank you so much!

Hope took great care of our 2 boys while we were away. She was incredibly reliable, trustworthy and communicated fantastically. She provided amazing updates every time she visited our cats which provided the all the important peace of mind for this incredibly anxious cat parent.

Pamela was fantastic with our elderly Cat Gracie, she was helpful and watered the plants whilst we were away too! Gracie got lots of love and affection and that’s all we could’ve asked for. Thank you, we would highly recommend Pamela to anybody else and we will use her again when we next go away.. 🙂

Rachael was fantastic with our two cats. They can be quite the handful, but she handled them brilliantly and gave them plenty of care and attention. Her communication was excellent throughout, which really put me at ease knowing they were in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rachael and would happily have her look after our cats again!

Bertille from first day was very friendly and attentive. Provided brilliant care for my cat who seemed comfortable and even showed up and ate in front of her. When my cat it's not a people person. Especially to the strangers. Definitely booking next time for the drop ins when I'm not in.

Shona was absolutely amazing looking after our cat, Cous Cous, while we were away for a wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure Cous Cous felt comfortable and well looked after, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better and would definitely recommend Shona to anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter. Thank you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
