“Nicole was amazing! She came round before the booking to meet out cats and they immediately warmed to her. Nicole, sent lots of pictures of our cats getting all the cuddles and affection they could ever want and they were super happy to have her looking after them! Nicole was also very informative and had great communication letting us know our cats were safe and well looked after. We would definitely book with Nicole again!”

“Gemma was a really great dog sitter. Gemma’s communication was excellent before the visit and she was clearly experienced at looking after dogs. Gemma kept my young puppy well occupied during the visit and had a very calming presence - my puppy was very happy to be with her. I would definitely recommend!”

“Sarah a brilliant sitter for us - her communication was great and she sent photos and updates everyday. She was also very flexible with us especially in accepting the booking fairly last minute. Would definitely book again!”

About: I’ve been caring for my own small dog for almost seven years, which has taught me how important patience, consistency and attention to detail are. In addition, friends have trusted me to look after their pets while they were away, giving me experience with different personalities and routines. I understand that every animal has unique needs, and I always take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable and cared for. I’m reliable, organised and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own, following your instructions carefully and providing plenty of attention, affection and regular updates! I’m flexible and happy to work around your pet’s usual routine whenever possible. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, indoor play, cuddles or simply a quiet companion, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. I’ll always follow your preferred schedule to help your pet feel comfortable and settled while you’re away ☺️ Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I carefully follow every owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medication (if needed), exercise and daily routines. I understand that every pet is different, so I always adapt to their individual needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind
“Yuting was very friendly and took great care or Gucci when we were away, he can be a bit anxious at first and she took her time and gave him space to get to know him- she was very punctual, communicative and reliable, and we came back to a very relaxed kitty. would definitely reccomend and book her again :)”

About: I have always been a huge animal lover and I adore looking after furry friends. I have recently moved to Bristol after living most of my life in Edinburgh. I fully work from home so I will always be around to look after your pet and keep them company. I have had experience looking after different types of dogs which range in sizes and activity level. This includes a borador and ex-racing greyhound. I also have experience looking after cats for my extended family and have a huge soft spot for them. I am happy to look after your pet at your own home and I am planning to open boarding at my own home later down the line. I can follow any routine you may have with your pet and accommodate any special needs they may require. I am also very happy to send regular updates with what they have been up to and include photos to lessen any worry you may have. I currently work from home so will always be available to look after, keep company and play with your pet. I am also able to go on longer adventures on Friday, Saturday and Sundays as I do not work on these days. I typically take dogs for a minimum of 3 walks a day (however I will be happy to adjust this either way to suit your pet). I will stick to your pets usual routine to help them feel as comfortable and normal as possible while their favorite human(s) are away.
“Rafa went far and beyond for our little Bernie! We are quite a ways away and she still came to our house to take care of Bernie! She sent us updates and lots of photos and videos. She's listened to our wishes and made Bernie a very happy puppy! I wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone who needs a pet sitter, no words can describe how thankful we are!”

“Charlotte was very gentle Milo and gave great updates. Every time she popped in to visit him. I felt very comfortable, leaving him in her care and look forward to asking her again”

About: Hello! I've had 5 years of experience with dogs' aftercare, and around 13 years with cats. Since childhood I always fed and looked after street animals in my hometown. And my friends could rely on me to check in with their pets, feed, clean and look after them. Additionally, I shortly had an experience of looking after a senior dog. I am currently working full-time, I am available for boarding and house sitting or animal care/ dog walks on the weekends, evenings, and Mondays. I can offer pets lots of attention, companionship, and dedicated care. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, keep pets safe and comfortable, and make sure they feel relaxed and loved while in my care.
“I’ve booked with Becky multiple times now, and can’t recommend her enough. Very quick to respond, very communicative during the booking, and takes lots of photos. Will definitely book with again”
About: Most of my experience looking after mine and my friends fur babies have been with mainly cats and dogs, but I have always had pets through my life, be that dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, birds, snakes, even the odd frog! My friends tend to go straight to me first when needing their little ones looked after as they know I very much enjoy it and they can trust me. They’re a huge part of our families and it would be my honour to get to know and take care of yours, if you so choose 🥰 Also happy to take on pets that need that little extra time and patients 🧡 I work from home with no set rota, so I’m very flexible and open to working out a set basis, or changeable care if you would like. I am happy to walk or take public transport to your property. Happy for meet and greets before we go ahead to make sure they're comfortable with me! If you're happy for me to be in your property I am more than comfortable to do so, so your little ones are in their safe place.

“Pam was absolutely fantastic!!! Flossy loved her and she was very well looked after! Came back to a very happy cat and would 100% book Pam again for our next holiday <3 Thank you so much! xoxoxoxo”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a kid, so I know exactly how important it is to find someone you trust to look after them. I have 5 years of experience keeping pups happy, active, and comfortable. My Schedule & Availability: Because my hotel reception job is part-time and exclusively in the evenings, my mornings and afternoons are completely wide open. This makes it incredibly easy to fit daytime dog walks and drop-in visits seamlessly into my routine. Your dog gets my full, undivided attention during the day—no rushed visits, just quality time and plenty of belly rubs! Experience & Safety First: Working at Cafe Revival—a highly popular pet-friendly cafe—and my current reception role at the pet-friendly Ibis hotel has given me fantastic experience around all kinds of dogs. I’m completely comfortable handling different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Whether dropping in or walking, I prioritize safety above everything else by strictly following your house rules, keeping dogs securely on-leash, and double-checking that doors and gates are entirely locked when I leave.
About: I’ve grown up fully immersed in the presence of animals and I have always taken on roles in their care. I have a dog called Nala at home and I love nothing more than spending time with her whether that be playing with her toys, going out for walks or simply cuddling on the sofa. I also have cats at home who likewise enjoy their playtime but also fusses on my knee. I’ve had work experience placement at a veterinary clinic so I’m also aware of aspects of care such as senior care and proper handling techniques. Although I am a veterinary nursing student at university I have days where I don’t have in person classes therefore making me available throughout the day and some days I’m home by 12pm, as well as having my weekends spare. I am very vigilant when it comes to pet safety especially with having grown up in a home with indoor cats, therefore I will take any safety measures you have in place very seriously. Due to my vet nursing course I have done placement at veterinary clinics therefore I’m aware of safe and proper handling techniques as well as signs to be aware of in other dogs when out on walks.
“Mariana was amazing with our 9month old pup who took to her straight away!! Mariana is now going to v regularly visiting our pup and we're delighted to have found her. Highly recommend”

“Catherine was amazing with my 8 month old puppy! She’s a bit of a nervous puppy but I can see from the photos sent that my dog Tina relaxed and looked like she was having a great time which completely put me at ease. I’d highly recommend Catherine’s services!”

About: Hi, I'm a 25 year old currently studying Veterinary medicine. Dogs have always been an integral part of my life. We have had dogs in our family since I was 7 and there are few things I enjoy more than getting to spend time with them! I have two years of experience as a volunteer dog walker and socialiser for the RSPCA. So I am well used to caring for a range of breeds and catering for dogs with various needs and requirements. Additionally, I've frequently looked after dogs belonging to neighbours & family friends. During my time at university I have continued to regularly take care of dogs, including weekly house sitting and walking. References available on request. I'm currently taking a year out to apply for Veterinary medicine, I am likely to be working part time, but beyond that my schedule will be very flexible. While dog sitting I will make sure your dogs receive plenty of companionship and attention. I will ensure they are kept mentally stimulated and entertained, through playing with toys and/or any other enrichment activities. I really enjoy dog walking, so would be more than happy to take your dog on regular walks around where you live or to any nearby parks.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Bristol
Beth has been so great! All my three cats were very happy when we got back and she kept us in the loop with lots of pics every time she visited them, which made us feel so relaxed during our holiday as we could see they were well looked after. I highly recommend Beth!

Violeta was absolutely great. She visited our cat twice a day and stayed to give her lots of attention. She also turned lights on and off and opened and closed blinds so the house didn’t seem empty - and made sure our cat got some sun! She sent great updates and photos each time. Would thoroughly recommend her ans we’ll certainly use her again if she’s available
Gema and Betsaida came to our rescue last minute when our cat was poorly with a prolonged vomiting episode just before we were due to go away. We were able to go on our trip and leave Crumb in very safe hands - they provided us with regular updates and Crumb was well looked after - she in fact wasn't sick when we were away. It gave us total peace of mind. They went above and beyond with a bit of garden care too. They were quick to respond and are true cat lovers. We will definitely book them again!
Samantha did a brilliant job of looking after our cat and bearded dragon. She was thoughtful, attentive and a great communicator. I appreciated her experience and the fact that she clearly cared a lot about looking after our pets as well as possible. She administered medication to our cat and went above and beyond to ensure our bearded dragon had a varied diet. The Rover cards that she left each day included just the right amount of information to let us know that our pets were happy but also to raise and potential issues. An excellent experience and I will definitely be booking Samantha again.
Sarah took good care of my cat Lily and was helpful and prompt in replying. While I trust that she was well looked after, I would have liked updates to be more informative as well as a photo. Even if it's repetitive, I like to know at each visit a bit about whether she's eating okay, using her litter box, had any fuss or played, etc. Especially when she hadn't pooped for 24 hours, I would've really appreciated being told that she finally had without having to ask, so that I didn't keep worrying. Thank you for looking after her.

Andrea is a lovely person and was wonderful with my cats. She provided lots of updates and photos and I could see they were happy and being well looked after. She stayed and played with them and I felt completely relaxed about leaving them in her care. When I came back from holiday, everything was tidy and the cats were in great spirits. I'd recommend Andrea to anyone :)

Miranda looked after my cat while I was away for a weekend. She managed to make friends with Pebbles even though Pebbles is a very nervous cat and scared of strangers. The regular updates put my mind at rest while I was away. I would definitely recommend Miranda if you have a nervous cat.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
