Nicole, sent lots of pictures of our cats getting all the cuddles and affection they could ever want and they were super happy to have her looking after them! About: My names is Will and I've taken care of dogs in some capacity since I was 9. I grew up with spaniels in Somerset. One of these Spaniels was deaf so I gained a lot of experience in non-verbal signalling and care for deaf pups. Aside of my own animals, I have plenty of experience, in a both voluntary and paid capacity of caring for dogs. Walking is a big part of my daily routine and would love to be able to have your dog along for the walk also. I'm flexible with times of day and evenings/nights. I currently have my own pup named Rosie (spaniel cross) but she only lives with me part time. She would not be present on house sitting but she loves all dogs. TRAINING - I have experience training in a non-professional capacity so more than happy to adopt your training practices and maintain those in your absence. I can do stay in day and or overnight visits throughout the week. Monday - Sunday Additionally, I can do drop in visits. Throughout the day/evening. At the weekend, I am generally flexible outside of pre-planned holidays with friends or family. In the owners home, I will follow the instruction of the owner in regard to access to the garden and parts of the house. Eg, The dog is/isn't allowed upstairs. The same approach is taken to walking and on and off of the lead. TRAINING -I'm very happy to assist with any training you may have on the go and maintain any technique you may be working on. I love a challenge!
“Sophie was fantastic! She sent me pictures and updates from each visit, Ivy was clearly very comfortable and happy. I came home to a calm cat, would definitely recommend booking Sophie and will be using myself again. Thank you. ”

“Pamela took care of my two cats while I was away. She was super quick to respond throughout and sent reassuring updates and photos. They were very happy and well cared for when I got home. Highly recommend!”

About: Hello! I've had 5 years of experience with dogs' aftercare, and around 13 years with cats. Since childhood I always fed and looked after street animals in my hometown. And my friends could rely on me to check in with their pets, feed, clean and look after them. Additionally, I shortly had an experience of looking after a senior dog. I am currently working full-time, I am available for boarding and house sitting or animal care/ dog walks on the weekends, evenings, and Mondays. I can offer pets lots of attention, companionship, and dedicated care. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, keep pets safe and comfortable, and make sure they feel relaxed and loved while in my care.
About: I have been a local dog walker and pet sitter for 10+years and a very proud dog mom to a 5 year old high energy staffy called Mac. I have experience of a multitude of breeds and pet personalities. I love exploring the variety of walks around Bristol and can cater to the needs of any dog. I can be available mon-sun for walks, home visits or house sits. I am currently hybrid working with a flexible schedule so have plenty of time to visit, walk or play with your pet during the week or weekends as needed. I have plenty of experience with a variety or breeds of dogs and cats in differing home environments. I understand that each pet has unique personalities and needs and understand the huge responsibility that is looking after someones beloved fur baby!
“Fay was amazing. She did 2 visits a day for 5 days for our cats when we were away. She gave us lots of updates, was great at communicating and our cats who can be a bit aloof absolutely love her and seemed so happy and relaxed . Really put me at ease when away knowing she was minding them . Have already rebooked her twice more”

“Naoimi has been wonderful with G 🥰 she kept us updated with pics, and we felt so happy knowing he was in her safe hands. We’d definitely love her to look after him again, thanks so much ☺️”

“Belem did a fantastic job at looking after my skittish cat, including giving her meds with meals. She was available last minute and very flexible with timings etc. Highly recommend ⭐️”

“My first ever cat sitting experience and George was excellent. Met him before the booking and knew I could trust him to watch Yukino. He gave updates and sent me picture when he was there. She was happy when I returned and all glowing.”

“Mariana was amazing with our 9month old pup who took to her straight away!! Mariana is now going to v regularly visiting our pup and we're delighted to have found her. Highly recommend”

“Finlay has recently started looking after our cocker spaniel, he very kindly took the time to meet with us & meet our dog prior to the first dog-sitting, which we hugely appreciated. In addition he very kindly gave us great updates and photographs during the session. It was so lovely to know our dog was so well looked after, especially as our dog is very nervous - so we are incredibly grateful to Finlay’s care and patience with him.”

Ellie was absolutely amazing! She took care of my two cats for two weeks while I was on holiday, and I couldn't have asked for better. She always kept me updated with plenty of photos and videos, sharing every single detail or question along the way. Highly recommended, the boys love her!

Fiona was phenomenal, wish I could give more than 5 stars! She took such great care of our kitten and would send fantastic video updates of what they’d been up to. This was our first time having a cat sitter but from the moment I met Fiona, I was instantly at ease. She has such a kind and caring nature, and knew all the best ways to look after and play with our kitten. Will definitely be booking again!

Maria was great with Orinoco giving him lots of playtime and patience to get to know him and reduce his anxiety. We received lots of lovely photos throughout the time we were away, as well as regular updates and assistance in keeping the house cooler during the hottest week of the year! Definitely recommend Maria and hope to be able to book her again for Orinoco soon.

Rafa has been an excellent cat sitter. She sent us daily updates throughout the hot weather, she is very approachable, friendly and caring of Wes. Rafa was also willing to look out for our plants and make sure they were watered. I hope Rafa will be around for more cat sitting this summer!

Georgia was amazing at looking after our cat Snufkin. As a needy cat who loves humans, we were a bit nervous about leaving him alone for a week, but Georgia was great. Not only did she feed him but spent lots of time playing with him to keep him entertained. We were kept updated with lots of photos and he was very happy when we returned. Thank you SO much. Highly recommend booking Georgia
We are really grateful to Mary for looking after our Chewy so amazingly! We came home to a very well looked after girl. We really appreciated the detailed updates with photos/videos and it was also great to meet Mary beforehand to run through Chewy’s feeding etc. We wholeheartedly recommend Mary!

Sarah was great, she gets all instructions straight away and clearly the cats were happy. We knew when she arrived and when she left as well as any issues originating from our mucky cats. We could enjoy a lovely week away knowing everything was taken care of - great updates and pictures as well! Thanks again!

Freya took such wonderful care of my two rather anti-social older cats, it gave me total piece of mind and allowed me to switch off and enjoy my trip. Freya sent regular updates and put so much effort into connecting and engaging with the girls, even bringing along a new toy to try and tempt them to play, which went down well! The cats clearly felt very safe and comfortable with her and after 10 days away we came back to relaxed and contented kitties.

We contacted Sophie extremely last minute and she was super quick to respond and came over the same day. She has a really lovely vibe about her and I knew Frieda would be in good hands. Sophie was super reliable and messaged as each time she'd been to feed Frieda so we knew all was well and could relax. She also took our recycling out which was very much appreciated. Thank you so much again! :-)

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
