I work from home 2 days a week with minimal meetings, so I have plenty of time to pay attention to a pet, as well as take them for as many walks as needed. It would be great company for me too!

I have a fenced garden and plenty of green areas near my home for walks. If the dog is crate trained there is room for a crate and that will be easy to accommodate. There are no other pets in my home so they will have the run of the place! If I am in your house, I will treat it like my own and always leave it as I found it.

Let me know if your pet has any specific needs or behaviours I should be aware of, especially with regard to keeping them safe on walks/out of the house. I am happy to follow any routines you have set for them so please advise of those (dinner times etc.).
A typical day
It depends entirely on the needs of the dog, but a typical day would include 1-3 decent walks in my local area, which has loads of green areas to explore and use for off-lead time if appropriate. They can use our fully fenced garden for any toilet breaks or to just hang out. My partner and I would play and cuddle with your pet in the evening if that’s what they like - they can park up on the couch with us and watch a film!

I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid, including family pets, and I have done a lot of dog sitting for many friends/family members over the years. I have been on rover for over a year, looked after some lovely dogs, and have a few repeat customers!

This was our first time leaving our dog with a sitter and it couldn’t have gone better. Emily took great care of our 17 year old chihuahua, keeping us updated throughout his stay. Will definitely be using her again and can highly recommend.
Emily was a fabulous sitter and put me at ease both ahead of and at drop off. I booked her last minute due to a work trip and she was super accommodating for us on pickup and drop off (split across my partner and I separately). Poppy felt right at home and it was so lovely to hear the updates. 10/10 would book again!! No hesitation!! 🥰 thank you Emily!!
