“Finding Rich in the area was a godsend. Not only does he really love dogs, he makes the effort to bring comfort to us as dog owners and takes great care of them. I enjoyed the fun updates and pictures he sent while I was away and materiel clearly felt comfortable and at home. He was also very flexible and helpful which is a really great quality to find in someone these days. He’s definitely my go to locally going forward.”

“Claire and family were wonderful with Merlin and he got on very well with Teddy, lovely photos sent showing how he was doing too. I would definitely book again as all went so well ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have always loved caring for them. I now have a 20-month-old cocker spaniel who I’ve had since he was a puppy. He’s unneutered but very friendly, well-socialised and used to meeting other dogs on walks. I’m experienced with day care, routines, feeding, walks and providing calm, attentive home care “I run my own business from home, so I’m around most of the day and able to give dogs plenty of attention and supervision. My schedule is flexible, with only the occasional day in London. I walk my own dog twice daily and can easily fit additional walks, playtime and care into my routine. I have a large, secure garden and a spacious home where dogs are treated as part of the family. Pets are welcome on the furniture and are always supervised. I’m based near lots of lovely local walks and follow each dog’s usual routine to help them feel settled, safe and at home. I’m best suited to dogs who are dog-friendly and comfortable sharing a home with my cocker spaniel.

“I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter for Otis! From the moment we met, it was clear that Otis was going to be in caring and capable hands. Over the week, he was treated like part of the family and had an absolute ball. I loved receiving updates and seeing all the walks and exciting outings he enjoyed - I think doggy ice-cream is his favourite!! He was happy, stimulated, and well looked after. It's such a comfort knowing your dog is not only being cared for but genuinely having the best time while you're away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sophie's services and will definitely be booking again. Thank you for giving Otis such a wonderful week!”

“Ron had a fantastic time with Alyssa and Julian. As I had only recently adopted him, I was naturally a little anxious about leaving him, but I needn't have worried at all. They showed Ron so much care, kindness, and understanding, which helped him settle in quickly and enjoy his stay. Throughout the two weeks, I received plenty of photos and videos that reassured me he was happy and well cared for, allowing me to fully relax and enjoy my holiday. I would have no hesitation in asking Alyssa and Julian to look after Ron again in the future. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of him.”

About: I grew up with dogs and I've had rescue dogs for most of life, unfortunately my last fur baby died a year ago. I will be getting another dog but not until next year, in the meantime I would love to take care of your babies like they were my own. I retired 2 years ago and I have lots of free time, I'm looking to help other people with their fur babies. I can be flexible and your precious pets would not be left for long periods. I have a small fenced garden with grass and fabulous walks on my doorstep. Happy to cater to every dogs individual needs. I have transport.

“This was our first time using Rover and leaving our puppy with anyone. Diana and her husband quickly put our minds at rest on meeting, with their warm welcome. Their dog Coco is adorable and patient. Our puppy Toffee soon decided she loved their home and invited herself to Coco's toys and later on her bed! She enjoyed their company, the sofas, large garden and the surrounding fields for walks. Toffee had such an enjoyable holiday we got a brief welcome on our return before she went back to Diana and off to the toys and Coco again! We were absolutely delighted no separation anxiety. My only reluctance putting this review is Diana will get very busy and fully booked, as now we know where Toffee will happily stay when we go away again 😁 Thanks so much for all the care and photo updates throughout the stay. It has meant the world to us that our precious Toffee was in safe hands 💜”

“Ashley leaves me with such ease to look after my pup, she’s very caring and I know he’s in good hands every time! I would highly recommend to anybody especially if your nervous about leaving them for the first time”

“Our lovely Springer Jaz enjoyed a week with Jenny and Harry while we were on holiday. She was very well looked after and Jenny updated us with photos of her making herself at home in Harry’s bed! Also out and about on their walks and meeting up the “biscuit lady”! We were really happy with the service Jenny provided and would not hesitate to recommend her for future stays.”

“Michelle is amazing with the dogs in her care and you need not worry that they won't be treated the same as at home. Tillie stayed a week with Michelle, we had a meet up before booking which was really helpful. Tillie settled quickly, we received regular pictures and video updates showing her resting and out on walks she has come home very happy and obviously well cared for, we would not hesitate to leave Tillie with you again, Thankyou so much. 😊”

“Amelia is fantastic, she looked after our four legged girl so well and gave her so much love and attention. She responded really quickly to the booking requests then sent us loads of photos and updates about what she was up to. Our dog had a fantastic time away and we knew she was so well looked after it was a massive stress off our shoulders. We could not recommend her and her family enough.”

“YaLing took amazing care of our dog Milla who can be anxious in new environments and bark a lot. We were kept updated regularly and Milla seemed to really settle in and relax after a little while. Would definitely recommend!”

“Laura is fantastic, so friendly, she looked after our dog very well. Communication is very good including sending some pictures and I have already booked again.”

“Thomas has been excellent at looking after our dog. He responded quickly to messages and we arranged a time to meet up prior to the stay. We received regular photos and updates on Diego whilst we were away, who was taken for long walks and treated like one of their dogs. I would recommend Thomas as a great person to look after a dog and would gladly ask him again to look after Diego.”

“Petra and her family are just wonderful. They looked after bernie so well, she gave daily updates and pictures, he looked so happy. When we picked him up he was relaxed and happy. Would absolutely recommend and have already booked in again!!”

“Eleanor is a fantastic cat sitter. She came to meet us before she started which I really appreciated. Eleanor now does pet sitting full time and is very professional. She noted all our requirements and then sent daily photos and messages after every visit. She adores cats. I would highly recommend her services and have already booked her again. ”

“Emma was amazing from start to finish! Updated on every visit which made me feel so much more relaxed knowing my cats were being so well looked after and loved while I was so far away. And going the extra mile by giving my cats their Christmas stockings and Christmas dinner! Would highly recommend Emma for peace and comfort looking after little loved ones 😊”

“Holly was absolutely fantastic checking in on our cat. He really loved her giving him fuss and the updates we received were really lovely. We will definitely use her again in the future 🙂”

“Richard was a perfect choice for drop-in visits for Rascal, particularly with his experience of re-homing stray and rescue cats, as he knows the vagaries of character and the nervous behaviour that can be shown. I felt very assured as soon as I met Richard, that all would be well whilst I was away. It was really nice to see photos of Rascal and to be reassured that he was coping with the change of person administering his daily routine and that all was well. Everything was neat and tidy and cleared away on my return. I would certainly recommend Richard for all pet duties, and I will be booking again in the future.”

Beth gave us updates throughout the visit with pictures of Lily looking very happy, playing, eating and napping. About: I’ve grown up around cats and have always taken an active role in their care. Whether it’s looking after our family pets day-to-day or caring for relatives’ cats while they’re away, I’m experienced in feeding, grooming, and making sure they’re comfortable and well looked after.
“Before booking Emily we met to introduce her to my Phoebe and within minutes Phoebe came in to meet her, and allowed Emily to stroke her, which was a revelation for me given how Phoebe is so timid and nervous with new people in our house. I knew right then Emily was the right person to be responsible for my girls care whilst away on business. Emily was punctual and reassured me Phoebe was ok with pictures during the booking. Emily is a professional young lady who is polite and caring and is just one of those people who just clicked with me and my girl which was great for me. I will definitely book her again soon.”

About: I’ve groen up with animals including cars and dogs. I’ve rescued a cat in Greece on my travels and I’ve also looked after cats in trustedhousesitting in different countries including medication care for some cats. I have all five star reviews from the cat parents in 6 continents.

“Rowen looked after Basil while we were away for 2 nights. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Care deserved 5 stars. Communication deserved 5 stars. Cake deserved 5 stars! We are considering hiding up in the loft and booking Rowen to look after Basil again, just for more cake. 😁 Seriously though, we would 100% recommend.”

About: I have 5 granddogs, 2 grandcats, 2 grandpigs, 2 goddogs and numerous canine and cat nephews and nieces (not blood of course, they are the furry kids of my friends). They’re family 😁 Usually only available between June and January as I live in Colombia January to May. However do feel free to ask, especially if the dates that you require are close to the limits. If I'm here I can adapt my schedule. I work remotely as a geeky historical writer, so can be pretty much anywhere and what can be better than doing that whilst making new furry friends. I treat them as family, except when the sharing of food is the question. I don’t share food, just like my English goddog, Percy, doesn’t share his bone. With regard to communication - the number listed is now obsolete - my new number is Colombian because I live in Colombia for six months each year - Unfortunately Rover does not have a Colombia option. So best to email me or communicate through Rover.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Wiltshire
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: My husband and I have our own dog, Monty who is an adorable and energetic 1 year old cockapoo. I have grown up with dogs all my life, from golden retrievers to labs, and many more with family and friends. I have experience with both puppies and older dogs, I have also had dogs with health conditions who required medication, so could distribute medication if required, depending on the type. My husband, Julian, will also help to look after any dogs who stay with us, but I will be the primary caregiver as I'm home all day. I work full time from home and my husband is a handyman so is in and out of the house. We typically walk Monty a couple of times a day if we do shorter walks, or if the weather permits we take him on a long, off lead walk around a large field once a day, with regular potty breaks. We have a decent sized garden and also have a green space out front for any dogs who don't like pooping in a garden (Monty doesn't 😂). As we already have a dog, having another would fit nicely into our existing routine. We have a 3 bedroom house with a secure, fenced garden that is free from anything that could harm a dog. We live nearby to many open green spaces as well and will happily walk your dog on or off lead, according to your preference. I am home during the day and pets will not be left alone without either myself or my husband here.
“Pepper had a wonderful time with Claire, home from home. Photos sent regularly through the day. Claire is so warm and affectionate with Pepper & Pepper had a fabulous day.”

“Fay did a brilliant job of looking after our two dogs for the day. They aren't the quickest to settle down with new people but Fay kept us updated and they were both very relaxed when we picked them up. She went out of her way to provide a paddling pool in the hot weather and really knows what she is doing when it comes to dog care. I highly recommend!”

“As soon as I met Katherine, my mind was put at ease and she was so welcoming and lovely. I felt so comfortable leaving Milo at Katherine’s. She sent me regular texts and photos which means so much to be able to see how Milo was during the day and how he was doing. Katherine also went on a good length walk with Milo. Great location too as near to the downs and the village. Would 100% recommend Katherine and Milo hopes hope to see her again soon 🐶”

Bay was an excellent communicator, replying promptly to queries and posting photos of Tali at her home and out walking to set our minds at ease. I would definitely recommend Bay for doggy day care :-)”

“Amber is an incredible dog sitter! She clearly has an extremely strong understanding of rescue dogs, and exactly the kind of patience and support they need. Amber was friendly, professional and warm not only with our dog but with us as people. She was particularly thoughtful and mindful when it came to reassuring our worries about leaving out pup with someone new. I would highly recommend Amber!”

“Nicole ci ha messo subito a nostro agio, fin dalla prima comunicazione, per noi era la prima volta che utilizzavamo questo servizio, per di più in un paese straniero. É andato tutto molto bene, ho ricevuto informazioni durante la giornata e, quando sono andato a prendere il mio cane, ho visto come haggis ha salutato Nicole, non mi serve altro per sapere che sia stato trattato benissimo. Di sicuro terrò in considerazione Nicole se dovessi tornare da queste parti!”

“We left our dog with Tony for the day while we visited Longleat. She was happy and he sent updates throughout. Made us feel reassured that she was okay. Just was Really great. Thank you!”

About: This year we have done several house/pet sits, both in the UK and abroad, each time receiving 5 star reviews. We have looked after several dogs in one house before and are comfortable with any dog breeds. Having always grown up with dogs and cats, we both have lots of experience caring for and looking after pets. Max’s extended family all have Labrador’s and we have house sat for his grandparents and looked after their dog Finn. We have also worked in chalets in the French mountains for the past two winters and so are very used to keeping a property clean and tidy. Mollys mother owns an Airbnb and Molly often does the changeover clean in between stays. You can be rest assured that we will look after your property well and give lots of love to your pets! Max and Molly both work part time during the week, and are free at weekends and school holidays to come and house/pet sit for you. We will offer house/pet sitting services and so are happy to come to your home and look after your pets. We both still live with out parents and so don't yet have a place of our own to look after your pets in.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life, and I just adore animals in general. My dog, Bella, was a very nervous rescue and is now doing absolutely brilliantly, so I’ve learnt a lot about helping anxious dogs in the last few years. Bella does not come with me when I do house sits, she has another at home who takes care of her. I’ve got lots of experience walking and handling dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve worked with puppies, senior dogs and large breeds and also those who require special attention and need medication. I’m used to working with groups of dogs and have no problem with dogs who are anxious, I just require more meet and greets to get your pup familiar. I worked at Pets at Home for a few years and I've handled everything from small furries to reptiles. I’ve recently relocated from up north so my calendar is pretty empty at the moment. I’m looking to make lots of new furry friends and get familiar with the Wiltshire dog/cat (all animals alike) community 😊 I have a large garden and open plan kitchen and living room so your furr baby will always be In site. Also I share my home with my loveable and super friendly Cockerpoo Bella! Prior to boarding I would request our dogs have a meet and greet to see if it's a good match. Bella is super sweet and never aggressive, it's just for my own peace of mind as I want my pup to feel comfortable. I also have my own insurance and DBS certificate.

Your home will be kept tidy and spotlessly clean at all times. We are DBS checked and insured. Numerous reviews (all 5*) available on request.

Ultimately, my goal is to provide a seamless and joyful experience for both the pets and their owners, ensuring that they feel loved and well-cared for in my capable hands.
About: Became a dog owner in April 2021 and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I have had a cat for the last ten years, whilst in between, spending as much time as I could including walking and sitting with friends dogs until I was ready to have my own. My rottweiler is called George and he is one of the most social animals I know. He is great with children, cats, other dogs and people and has been from an early age. I hope to see him bond even more with your companions over the coming months/years while I try best to give your furry friends everything they can handle off of us as we start this exciting journey! Give me a chance to walk your dog and see.
