About: Hi, I’m Kate 👋 I’m a reliable and caring dog lover based in Witney. I’ve been around dogs since I was a child and have regularly cared for family and friends’ dogs, including my sister’s dog, when they travel or need extra support. Over the years, I’ve learned how important routine, patience and consistency are — especially for dogs who may feel anxious when their owners are away. I’m naturally detail oriented, responsible and organised, and I’m happy to follow specific feeding plans, medication instructions and any routines your dog is used to. I offer a calm, loving home environment with plenty of attention, cuddles and regular photo updates, so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away. Your dog will be treated as part of the family in my home 🐾 My routine is calm and structured, with time set aside for walks, play and rest. I prioritise keeping your dog’s normal routine to help them feel settled and secure. ***There may not always be children present during your dog’s stay — please feel free to discuss any specific needs your dog may have.*** I provide a calm, safe and loving home environment. I follow each dog’s usual routine, feeding schedule and any specific care instructions carefully. I have a secure home environment and can crate your dog if needed (only if this is something they are used to). I only take a limited number of dogs at a time to ensure each dog receives proper attention and care.

Heidi has had an incredible day with Victoria. Victoria has been absolutely amazing. From the initial meet to drop off and pick up. Nothing has been too much trouble. She sent pictures of Heidis day (which was amazing for a nervous mum) and Heidi was completely relaxed and happy at pick up. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you

About: Hello, I’m Steph! I’m a lifelong dog lover offering drop-ins and doggy daycare. I’ve grown up around dogs and share my home with a very friendly cocker spaniel who loves canine company. I’m currently training as a dog groomer, which has given me a strong understanding of gentle handling, patience, and recognising when dogs need space or reassurance. Daycare guests can relax and play in a calm home environment with a secure fenced garden. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, young, or senior, I’ll adapt care to suit them. I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your dog is happy and settled. Reach out to me to secure your space! I’m currently training part-time, which allows me to offer flexible and reliable daytime availability for drop-ins and doggy daycare. This means I can provide calm, attentive, and consistent care for your dog. I understand how important it is to feel completely confident leaving your dog in someone else’s care. My home is safe, peaceful, and dog-friendly, with a secure fenced garden for supervised play and fresh air. I create a relaxed environment where dogs can settle comfortably, whether they love activity or prefer a quieter pace. With my own very friendly cocker spaniel, I’m experienced in managing dog dynamics and ensuring positive, stress-free interactions. I’m extremely attentive and always guided by what makes each dog feel happiest and most secure.

About: I have a love and passion for all animals and years of experience taking care of many different breeds of dogs. I had a beautiful deaf female for many years, and i have taken care of dogs with additional needs. I am am an experienced dog trainer with basic and advanced obedience knowledge. Your fur baby will get loved and cared for just like my own with plenty of love affection and lots of walkies. I am now retired so I am lucky to have the time needed to be at home with your fur baby playing, walking and general fussing. I don't leave my own dog often he tends to come with me. So if your dog is happy to come to the occasional coffee shop and garden centre they will have a great time. Due to past experiences with dogs that are not used to cats I have made the decision I can not put my cat through any trauma again. Therefore dogs that get on with cats only please. I have two very friendly dogs that your fur baby can play with, and your house will be kept immaculate. I am happy to do whatever you require to insure your dogs are well cared for.

About: Dog obsessed and experienced with dogs of all temperaments. I’ve been walking dogs for over 16 years for clients, friends, and family, as well as volunteering at a dog rescue where I worked and trained with shy and reactive dogs. I’ve also owned a Romanian rescue dog for the past 5 years, which has given me hands-on experience and training in handling reactivity, building trust, and creating calm, positive walks tailored to each dog’s needs. I'm currently working from home so my schedule is very flexible and can walk your dog whenever suits you and your furry friend. I am available Mon-Fri and most weekends. I have a fully fenced secure garden and live close to lots of lovely areas to walk and play. Love to go for long walks and go for some adventures!

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was little. My first interaction with a dog was when my uncle brought home an adorable Labrador puppy called Charlie and been a dog lover ever since then. In more recent year myself and my partner have looked after multiple dogs of borrow my doggie and really enjoyed helping out. I work for a children’s charity, and work from home 4 days a week. I usually go for a shorter walk in the mornings and at lunch time and then after I clock off from work I will go out for an hour or so. Plenty of opportunities to get out and about. We live in the countryside with a large fenced garden. When having dogs stay before they often love exploring the smells and pond in the garden. If staying at your house we will adapt to your routines and expectations of the dog.

About: Hi! I'm Grazia. I quite simply revolve my life around animals. I have extensive, hands-on experience with dogs, cats, bunnies, and horses, and one of my defining characteristics is being a little (okay, a lot) obsessed with them. Everyone in the Arctic knows me as the person who took her bunnies to the wilds of the North Pole because she didn't trust a petsitter would love them enough - so I know exactly what it's like to leave your babies with someone else. My main qualities: I give tons of affection (always tailored to each animal's character), I'm incredibly patient and reliable, flexible in emergencies - and I believe strongly in VIDEO calls and very frequent updates, because a video tells you whether your pet is truly happy in a way a photo simply can't. It's what I'd want for my own. I love to build longer-term friendships and relationships with locals and the animals I care for. A bit about my experience: I'm known for having rehabbed both a difficult/blind cat and a dog — helping them learn to trust and love again through sitting quietly for hours each day while they came to understand that love was available entirely on their own terms. I adore dogs of all sizes and love exercising them and making them feel free. I have personally had 2 dogs (and many wonderful dog sit experiences), 11 cats, and 2 bunnies. I've volunteered for 1.5 years across dog shelters. I've also dealt with pets with behavioural challenges while caring for animals in Amsterdam, and managed to create several breakthroughs that had previously stumped their guardians. Our bunnies in Sweden had previously taken over our lives in the most wonderful way - owning 2 private bedrooms and a 3,500 sqm garden. Anyone who has cared for bunnies properly knows they are extremely sensitive but strong little creatures who need space, quiet, and extraordinary patience - so I'm well-equipped for even the most challenging characters. I also have extensive home-care experience from years of staying in others' homes, and multiple glowing Airbnb and TrustedHousesitters references. I treat every home with more care and respect than my own; it's simply how I show respect. A few practical notes: - Non-smoker, non-drinker - Fully comfortable administering medication and have experience with 12-hour overnight tummy massages that have avoided vet visits (yes, really 🙂) - Very communicative - I believe in keeping communication fully open, always! - I'm not comfortable sitting animals kept in cages unless strictly for medical reasons (this includes caged bunnies) - Harry Potter fan ⚡ I'd love to offer you a video call and meet up before we begin! Vibes matter enormously to me, and I'm genuinely hoping to become a temporary (and lasting) part of your animal's family. I'll treat the little (or big) ones accordingly - and provide the confidence, warmth, kindness, communication and professionalism to ensure you're never left guessing. I work from home building my 2 organisations; one is for brain health and the other is an animal rights movement. Therefore, I'd have plenty of time to play with the babies. In fact, I orient my whole day around cuddle o'clock, training and walkies. I have a fenced garden and can provide flexible accommodation in terms of your preferences. My only restrictions would be cage-only sits - and if your pet allows, I am kind of in love with playing, jumping with and cuddling dogs, allowing cats to sleep on me for hours (obviously you then cannot move) and even taming bunnies.

Claudia and her partner werte very accommodating on one of the hottest days of the year. Buckley was with 3 other dogs and they all got on well with each other. He wasn't walked but that was the most sensible decision, bearing in mind the temperature! I would recommend Claudia - Buckley returned calm and happy.

Victoria took fantastic care of our miniature dachshund Bramble. Bramble was very well looked after and Victoria was very communicative with us which was very lovely. The day we booked for Victoria to have bramble ended up being a heatwave, she made sure to message us the day before to reassure us that she had a good fan and would take the necessary precautions to make sure bramble was ok, this was very reassuring. We’d definitely use Victoria again

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - West Oxfordshire

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in West Oxfordshire on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,041 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in West Oxfordshire. About 87% of West Oxfordshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your West Oxfordshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
