Working from home Animal Lover
Hi there! I adore dogs.. I have looked after dogs for friends and neighbours over recent years, and have been on Rover since July 2023. Because I am able to work from home I have done a lot of dog boarding at mine whilst families go on away or day only bookings. The longest period i have looked after a dog is 15 days but as short as an evening - as long as I get to fuss a dog I’m happy. I grew up in a cat family and have fostered cats and kittens in the passed due to this. I have a dream to adopt a rescue dog however in the uk adoption centres only seem to consider applications who have previously owned - a catch 22! I spent time volunteering in a elephant and dog sanctuary in Thailand, so could return and adopt from there. However, I’m really hoping that increased evidence through Rover will help me be able to adopt a dog in need of a home from the UK. I love animals and spending time with them is so enriching I look forward to spending time with your pup !

As always Benji couldnt have been better looked after. He ws so pleased to see Verity and it was lovely to get the photos.
I couldn't have been happier. Benji was obviously being so well looked after and the feedback from Verity in the form of daily updates and photos and videos couldn't have been bettered. Im not sure he wanted to come home and I have already booked his next holiday with Verity.
We were so lucky the day we first met Verity. You could not want for a more caring, considerate person to care for your dog. Our Irish Red and White Setter Niyah had the most wonderful time whilst holidaying with Verity, instantly putting our minds at rest and in no doubt this was the right thing for our furry family member ! It was a ‘home from home’ experience for her from start to finish. We have never been away without Niyah so we were especially apprehensive at leaving her….there was absolutely NO need to worry whatsoever, with daily ‘pupdates’ and photos we were immediately able to relax and enjoying our holiday - as was she ☺️. Thank you so much Verity, I’m sure we’ll be seeing you again in the not too distant future ! 👌

Verity was so good with Pepper! This was the first time we’ve left Pepper with someone who was not in the family and I knew Pepper would be so well taken care of with Verity! I think Pepper had such a fun time that she didn’t want to come home! I cannot recommend Verity enough she has been fabulous with Pepper and gave us such great updates too!

Schedule
I work from home full time, and often go for a two walks a day on my own anyway so would be great to have a walking buddy. I have no children and I’m very organised so can schedule and plan with your pup in mind. I go to the gym which is the only place I can’t take the dog! I live in a high dog populated area so can only take dogs which are comfortable walking past and seeing other dogs.

I have a enclosed secure small garden, and my house backs onto fields for quiet country walks as well as pavement busier walks. I also drive and have a car so we can go to Blenheim or other beautiful spaces for those on a longer board. I do not have any pets, and it would only be one dog at a time so your pup would get all the attention.
A typical day
I am happy to follow your dog’s routine as much as possible. On a typical working day we will go for a long morning walk in the fields or local park for fetch, a short walk at lunch and again an evening stroll around their dinner time. I am fortunate to be very close to fields which are perfect when not water logged, plus two dog friendly parks both within 5 min walking distance plus footpaths galore. I love cuddles all the time so your dog will receive a lot of fuss and attention. Love to play also and happy to play fetch for a long time!

- If bad weather/winter please bring a towel or two depending on length of stay. If high energy/play oriented please bring amble toys so we can play together! If food oriented please provide treats although I have a few plus cucumber/carrot in surplus as I’m vegetarian! I live in a high dog populated area so can only take dogs which are comfortable walking past and seeing other dogs.
