About: We have over 30 years of experience in having and loving dogs. We have an older dog of our own who is very friendly and loves company on his walks. I am semi retired and have plenty of time to walk and exercise your dog. Our home backs on to a lovely lake and open spaces. Our older dog Ozzie is very laid back and usually curls himself around me on our sofa. Your dog will be treated had part of our family and given a lot of love and attention. If they want to snuggle on the sofa that is absolutely fine with me. My husband will also give your dog an early morning walk if they are partial to that. We have a garden which is fenced off and we also have a dog flap so if I have popped out your dog will not have to wait to be let out for his or her toilet breaks. Our dog is very friendly with other dogs and we will make them feel safe and comfortable in our home from home.

From owning my own pets, working on a horse yard, volunteering at animal sanctuary’s and pet sitting for many people regularly over the last 20 years. Get in touch to see how I can help you ☺️ I make my own diary for work, so fortunate to have flexibility! I also have my own pets to care for so it’s a part of my usual day. I generally work from home, have 3 very friendly dogs who love company of all creatures! I’m very lucky! I have a large garden and enough room for every one to find space should they want it!

About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs - from tiny chihuahuas to great weimaraners! My family have always kept dogs as pets so I have a lot of personal experience. If any one needs a dog sitter (friends, family, neighbours) I am the go to. My regular clients include: 🐾 Pete the Romanian street dog - a senior rescue who I have taken care of since he was just 14 months (he is now 10!). At nearly 30kg, he still thinks he's king of the streets and has some high needs, including lots of play time, long walks and private feeding. A total softie and sweetheart all round. 🐾 Dudley the jackapoo, Lottie the cockapoo, Woody the labradoodle and Rhea the frenchie - these four all live together and have varying needs. Woody being the biggest naturally needs the longest and an extra walk a day, as well as Lottie who is incredibly high energy. She can play fetch until your arm falls off! Dudley is an old man now who needs extra care due to his cataracts and Rhea is a spritely young thing who needs to remain separated from the others at all times. 🐾 Howard the frenchie - Howard is a very laid back and loving frenchie who is now 7. I've known him since he was a pup and although hes not quite an old man yet, his careplan has been adjusted to meet his slowing pace. He still loves playtime but also loves to cuddle up on the sofa and share the bed at night. 🐾 Bella the golden retriever - Bella is another older dog who I've looked after since she was a puppy. The old girl will surprise you though, she's still as active as she was when she was small. I also use to provide care for he little brother Dudley, a black labrador. They use to do everything together, even walks but he sadly passed away. I can currently only provide house sitting on weekends but I can offer walks and drop ins all day, everyday. I hope to offer boarding and day care soon. I have a large garden and my house backs onto ladies walk so plenty of space to run around and lovely countryside for long walks. I have my own small dog (cavapoo), he is friendly but if your dog doesnt like other dogs, I have the means to keep them separated. There is space for a crate if that's what your dog prefers. We usually go for walks morning and evening but this can be adjusted where necessary.

About: I frequently care for and walk my sister's Golden Retriever, Monty. In addition to my personal experience with dogs, I have recently returned from volunteering at Udruga Farmica, a non-profit animal shelter that currently cares for 132 dogs, 1 cat, 3 cows, 6 sheep, 2 donkeys, 2 ponies, and 4 pigs. I volunteered there for 3 months this year, having previously spent one month volunteering in December. It was an incredibly rewarding and meaningful experience that allowed me to gain hands-on experience in animal care, including feeding, administering medication, accompanying animals on veterinary visits, exercising dogs through regular walks, and providing enrichment through play and social interaction. Many of the dogs at the shelter had previously lived as street strays and, as a result, often displayed a range of behavioural challenges. Through my volunteering, I learned how to adapt my approach to suit each dog’s individual needs, helping them build trust and confidence while supporting basic training and positive behavioural development.I would be happy to provide a personal reference from the manager of the organisation upon request. Last year, I made the decision to resign from my role as a Funeral Arranger in order to pursue my passion for travel and animal welfare. This led me to spend time abroad volunteering at a very special animal shelter in Croatia, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. Having recently returned to the UK, I am currently helping my sister care for her children while my brother-in-law is working away. Two of the children have additional needs, which has further strengthened my patience, adaptability, and caring nature. As my support is provided on a flexible basis, I currently have full availability and can accommodate a wide range of working hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and short-notice bookings. I understand that every pet is unique and that entering a pet’s home means stepping into their safe space and established routine. When caring for a dog or cat in someone else’s home, I take the time to learn their individual needs, habits, likes, dislikes, and any special requirements they may have. I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and household rules to ensure consistency and minimise stress while their owners are away. Safety is always my highest priority. I make sure doors, gates, and windows are secure, remove any potential hazards, and remain attentive to changes in behaviour that may indicate discomfort, illness, or anxiety. I understand that pets can feel unsettled when their owners are absent, so I focus on creating a calm, reassuring environment where they feel comfortable and secure. Whether that means energetic walks and playtime for an active dog or quiet companionship and gentle affection for a senior cat, I adapt my approach to suit each animal’s personality. My goal is not only to meet a pet’s basic needs but to ensure they feel loved, safe, and happy while maintaining the routines and standards of care they are accustomed to. I treat every animal as if they were my own and every home with the same respect and care that I would expect for my own.

For extra peace of mind, I am pet first aid and CPR trained, and BPSS checked. My husband and I both work from home, so your dog will have constant supervision, care, and company throughout the day. Our routine is very flexible, allowing plenty of time for walks, play, and rest. Dogs are never left alone for long periods, and we can easily adapt to your pet’s usual schedule and needs. I also provide regular photo and video updates for your peace of mind. We have a large, fully fenced and secure garden where dogs can safely play and explore. We also have two friendly dogs who are used to being around others. Our home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly, and dogs are treated as part of the family – they are welcome on the sofa for cuddles. I am pet first aid and CPR trained, and BPSS checked, so your dog will always be in safe and responsible hands.

About: I cannot tell you how hard it was to pick photos for a profile page, what dog lover does not have a camera roll just full of photos and videos of their dogs and other people's dogs 😅?! Trying to limit myself was so hard! I've had dogs in my life since I was 5 years old, and I couldn't imagine my life without them. Cocker Spaniels were our family dogs, we had Sadie from a puppy, she was an angel, couldn't have grown up with a better companion. Then we rescued Honey, another Cocker Spaniel, she was also a family dog. My first dog I had as an adult and on my own, was an Italian Greyhound named Mo. He was my soulmate. The most snooziest of all snoozers. Loved nothing more than being with you wherever you went, cafes, friends houses, pottering round the shops, holidays with you. Wherever you were, he was, finding every opportunity to curl up on your lap and take ANOTHER nap. Mo had digestive medical issues so I've had plenty of experience in special diets, and medication control. I will only ever follow your routine. After Mo, I rescued a little Spanish Terrier called Pippin. We also thought he actually had Italian Greyhound in him too, he had these long skinny legs and a little nipped in waist. He had his terrier side to him for sure, but he had all the personality and funny character traits of a Greyhound, running round like a mad goose then crashing 5 minutes later on your lap, fast asleep. Pippin was rescued from a charity, where he was previously a stray, so I had no history on what he was like, or where he had come from. I sought help from a number of professional trainers to help me understand what being a best friend to a rescue dog looks like. Sadly Mo and Pippin are no longer with me, so there will be no resident dog here. This does mean that I can give all my love and attention to your gorgeous four paws, and I can't wait to open my arms to them. I'm really lucky enough to have friends and family who also have dogs, so they are always welcome round mine whenever they need a little holiday retreat of their own. Surrounding myself with dogs is truly my most favourite time of the day. I am currently working from home, so I will be able to spend the day with your bestest furry angels. My work is also portable too, so if needed to board at your home then I can bring my work with me. I am available during the week, and most weekends. I have a 100ft long garden that has 6ft fences all around. Plenty of space for sniffs, sprints and zoomies. Your dog/s are welcome to the whole house, no where is off limits (I'd LOVE some sofa and bed cuddles)!

I walk my dog every day either before work or at lunch time 😀 I have a fully enclosed garden with grass which my dog won’t mind sharing with another dog-friendly dog ☺️ my cats are dog savvy but will keep themselves to themselves! About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have always had a deep love for them. I currently have my own dog, who is nearly 2, and I regularly look after friends' and family members' dogs. Caring for dogs, whether going on long walks, playing fetch in the park, or simply giving them love and attention, is something I truly enjoy. My ultimate dream job would be to run a doggy daycare, where I could dedicate my time to providing the best care and fun experiences for dogs all day every day! I am available on weekends to look after your pets. I can board from Friday evening to Sunday night. I have a dog myself, he goes to doggy daycare twice a week, and then my partner works from home the other two days. I live in a house with a back garden in Andover. There are beautiful walks right on my door step, and enclosed fields not far from my house.
About: I am currently a University student so am based in Gloucester September - December and Andover June -September and mid December to January!! Am able to be very flexible, can accept sits as soon as 12 hours before and cancellations the same, very happy to work with any and all routines and have experience with disabled, anxious and “difficult” animals and am more than happy to work around whatever makes them comfortable. I have always loved animals and have been surrounded buy them from a young age. we had dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, tortoises and a hedgehog! i have been working and studying with animals for about 8/9 years now and am currently studying Clinical Animal Behavior and Training at University. I honestly love doing rover work while studying as not only does it mean I have a lovely quiet place to study but going out on walks means I get out and about in study breaks which is so important for productivity and mental health. I am currently open for the summer bookings from June to September I will be operating mainly in the south west as I will be based in Andover in Hampshire though could travel further for a long stay. i am currently a student studying animal behavior at university, this means my schedule is quite open, having a full day of lectures on a Tuesday and 2-3 hours on Monday and Thursday. I can essentially learn online and do all of my work from a kitchen table which is perfect for looking after pets. I'm afraid I cannot offer boarding as I live in student accommodation and I wouldn't like to put any dog in a potentially stressful environment! When I'm sitting at the house I will never leave the house for longer than your animal is happy with which we can talk about, as I don't have many other responsibilities I will not have any unexpected reasons to leave. I often spend my days at a kitchen table on a sofa with a dog bed next to me, this way you'll pet can feel that they can come as close or stay as far away as they like! I love a good cuddle but will respect personal space if they prefer. Often first morning/day I try to keep myself "small" so that your animal can investigate me in their home properly this often looks as if I'm ignoring your pet as I want them to feel at ease to investigate me as much as they want and get comfortable with me without me forcing myself into their space. I never, ever mingle any animals be them dogs, cats or hamsters(!) that have not previously met for safety reasons.

I have had my own dogs, mainly small and medium, from puppies or rescues. Over the years, I have helped others walking their dogs and checking up on them at their homes. I love teaching puppies and dogs new tricks and i make sure i continue anything you are trying to teach while they are with me. I have a huge love for rescue dogs and plenty of experience with them while fostering. I am always at home, so i have plenty of time for your beautiful pets! Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Andover
We just moved to the area and needed to find a new dog walker to look after our dog Alcides. We booked Nicola for day care last week and she did a fantastic job looking after our doggie. She came around for a meet and greet first and Alcides who is very energetic settled very well with her and seemed very calm right from the beginning. It was clear that she has experience with high energy dogs and she asked many questions to find out more about Alcides and what care he needed. On the day she looked after him we received regular updates, took the dog on a nice long walk, and overall did a fab job looking after him. We were very pleased that Alcides was happy and relaxed when we got back. Will definitely book again!
