“Brigitte has been an absolutely brilliant sitter for our slightly nervous dog. She took time to let him settle and get used to his new surroundings and took him on many wonderful walks. She kept us fully updated on how things were going and sent us lots of wonderful photos on a daily basis. Brigitte followed our directions regarding administering medication and cared for him in every way. I have no hesitation in recommending Brigitte as a truly 5* sitter. She could not have done more. We returned to find a happy and well cared for dog.”

“Hayley was absolutely fantastic with Oliver! He settled in so well under her care, which gave us real peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Hayley again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.”

About: I had a cat when I was little. I had a cockapoo 15 to 26 and miss him loads. Just resigned from my job so I’m free most of the time for same day bookings but better to have some notice in advance. Absolutely love pets and can help train if needed :) Love getting outside for walks but also a big fan of lounging on the sofa for a cuddle! Have Henrietta Park right by me and will go for adventures! Have super comfy sofas, not a super busy flat so it’s a nice calm environment. I love to get more than 15k steps in a day so it’s always best to have a companion! I miss having my dog around so it’s nice to have a 4 legged friend.

“Claudia was fantastic at looking after Yahoo. She took care to find out our dog’s routine, likes and dislikes. She took him on lots of walks and gave us updates and photos! She is very responsive to text messages and we completely trusted her with our dog. She is an excellent dog sitter and will definitely be rebooking with her!”

“Daisy-Mae spent a night here with Lily and her family, she was well looked after and loved, walked fed and watered. Would definitely recommend Lily, the environment was very dog friendly and the family all loved to cuddle with our pup. Would definitely ask for her to stay here again 👍”

“Jessica was great! very quick at communicating and kept us fully informed while Maia stayed with her, lots of pics and asked us all the things we forgot to mention. It was the first time we’d left Maia with anyone apart from friends and family but Jessica made it all super easy. Thanks again :)”
“Milo loved his stay with Christine and their dog Lottie. Christine sent us lots of updates and photos which was very reassuring. We’re hoping he can stay there again soon!”

“Another fantastic stay……Fern doesn’t even look back at me now! She just walks straight in, so happy to see Ali and Tom. It’s so nice to know she is staying somewhere that she is happy and well looked after :)”

“Manognya did a wonderful job of looking after Guimauve. He was really happy to see her and had a wonderful time walking and being fussed on the sofa. Manognya is a really great dog sitter and we can’t recommend her highly enough.”
“Lexi was clearly very relaxed with Yolanda, immediately jumping onto the dofa next to her and putting her head on Yolanda's knees. I received lots of photos and videos of Lexi having a great time and foynd Yolanda personable, helpful and kind. I would book with her again.”

“Lesley was lovely and super flexible and easy to coordinate with. Eddie loved playing with her dog, Sparky, and I loved getting pictures and videos of them playing from Lesley. Would absolutely recommend!”

“Booth had a lovely time with Natasha and her family. We were kept up to date and received photographs and videos reassuring us that Booth was having a lovely time. It was obvious that he really bonded with Natasha and her family and enjoyed his stay. We would not hesitate to use Natasha again and would highly recommend her pet sitting services.”

Annabel is such a lovely person and we were really satisfied when she looked after our dogs. We have 2 dachshunds who are lovely but can be picky and stubborn but they were very happy to be with Annabel and she let them make themselves at home. We had no issues at all and we would not hesitate to ask her to dog sit again in the future 😃.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nadia did a fantastic job looking after Oliver. He seemed to really enjoy his stay and was very well cared for throughout. We really appreciated the regular updates and photographs, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Oliver was happy and comfortable in Nadia’s care, and we would definitely book Oliver with Nadia again in the future. Highly recommended.

Lizzie has a lovely calmness about her and I felt totally confident that Tiggy would be well cared for. She was keen to learn about Tiggy so that her routine could be maintained, and I enjoyed receiving updates which reassured me that all was well. Thank you Lizzie.

We had a feeling our little Shiba Inu was in good hands when we made the booking and every day we were proven right! We got photos, check-ins, and quick responses daily. We had some concerns about Haru's stay since there would be another pup in shared spaces, and we were met with dilligent updates. He is looking great after his stay and not anxious at all. We will definitely book with Ecrin again!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
