“Joseph was very responsive to messages and amazing with my 3 year-old collie cross Storm. Storm is a high energy dog so he needs a lot of attention and Joseph took him for lots of super long walks and sent some adorable pics of a very happy dog! Very impressed, would book again 😊”

“Brigitte is lovely and cared for Elmo so well. He had a brilliant sleepover with her, with fun walkies and play. I wouldn't hesitate to ask her to care for Elmo again, and I'm sure he would love it!”

“Adjian was really organised and a pleasure to deal with. Stanley obviously had a wonderful time as the second time he went to stay he rushed inside without hesitation - very unlike him! Highly recommended”

“I cannot thank Lily enough for not only taking amazing care of Harlow but also doing it on such short notice! I was kept updated throughout Harlows stay and she seemed so happy to be with Lily and her amazing family :) I should be recommending Lily to anyone that will listen but then I’m afraid she will be too busy to be Harlows step mum haha Lily your amazing thank you so much for everything you did I cannot express how appreciative I am for everything you did for my pup”

“Chris was so welcoming and reassuring, sending some great photos to show our dog was enjoying his holiday as much as we were. It meant we all had a wonderful time and would have the confidence to do it again. I think Jack will really miss his new friend Lottie!”

“Gus had a lovely time with Jessica, who walked, played and cuddled him to his heart's consent. I got regular pupdates, and drop off and pick up was easy. We are really glad we have someone in the area we can completely rely on.”

“Nicola looked after Roxy our Rottweiler for 2 weeks whilst we were away. She gave us regular updates/photos etc and reassured us she was fine. She really listened to everything we told her too. Shes finally back with us today and shes in her usual chair snoring away like nothing ever happened. I would use Nicola again and definitely recommend her to anyone thinking to book!”

“Natalie is absolutely amazing with Henry, you can tell she loves him as much as he does her. Lots of pictures whilst we were away and reassuring messages. Very calm and adjusted really well to being back home. Fantastic dog sitter. *****”

“Once again another 5 Star review for Mel after Doug had a few days on holiday at hers! He clearly loves being there as we saw some great photos of him enjoying the walks and garden, as well as snuggling up afterwards. We couldnt recommend Mel high enough as a trusted sitter!”

About: I've been caring for cats and dogs for the past 7 years and genuinely love being part of a pet's life. Over the years, I've looked after friends' cats and regularly cared for my parents' dog, giving me experience with different personalities, routines, and care needs. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's beloved companion very seriously. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I offer house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits throughout Bath and Bristol. You can expect reliable care, regular updates, and plenty of photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing the loving, attentive care they deserve! I work from home 3 days of the week so I can easily do house visits during the week - Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays! Whether this may be for playing, feeding or simply giving your little fur baby a little bit of company. I can also take your dog out for a walk during my lunch breaks and play tug of war (the real way to a dog’s heart)! I am also available weekends, I simply want to care for your pet in the best way possible :) As I live in a flat, I won’t be able to take care of your pets in my own home but I am more than happy to do house sits, check ins, and daily walks - whatever works best for you!
“Everything went to plan and lucy seemed very relaxed when i collected her the next day, so all good. Had a few photos of Lucy on her walks. Would ask Francesca to look after Lucy again. Thank you.”

“Bert had a great time with Alison, Tom and Murphy. He has come home very happy and we had lovely updates for the entire stay. He had a fantastic time with Murphy and hopes to see him again soon. Thanks very much!”

“Rosie our dog was made very welcome and immediately made friends with the owners and found a comfortable lap. We felt very confident leaving our pet . Rosie was very relaxed when we picked her up at the end of her stay..... We highly recommend Helen .”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nadia did a fantastic job looking after Oliver. He seemed to really enjoy his stay and was very well cared for throughout. We really appreciated the regular updates and photographs, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Oliver was happy and comfortable in Nadia’s care, and we would definitely book Oliver with Nadia again in the future. Highly recommended.

Lizzie has a lovely calmness about her and I felt totally confident that Tiggy would be well cared for. She was keen to learn about Tiggy so that her routine could be maintained, and I enjoyed receiving updates which reassured me that all was well. Thank you Lizzie.

We had a feeling our little Shiba Inu was in good hands when we made the booking and every day we were proven right! We got photos, check-ins, and quick responses daily. We had some concerns about Haru's stay since there would be another pup in shared spaces, and we were met with dilligent updates. He is looking great after his stay and not anxious at all. We will definitely book with Ecrin again!

Joe was terrific. It was Loki’s first time with a sitter, so we were naturally nervous about leaving him and how he’d react, but Joe had him settled within minutes and gave him a holiday that was as good as ours. Joe was communicative throughout, sending us pictures every day, and clearly bonded with Loki - by the end of our holiday we were only worried he might prefer to stay rather than come home! Loads of nice long walks, a welcoming home, flexibility on timings - Joe was a treat to work with, and managed Loki’s 38kg frame like he was made of feathers! I’d definitely recommend Joe and we’ll certainly hope to have Loki stay with Joe again!

- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
