I am very flexible as I am not working at the moment. I have been recovering from long covid and would like the opportunity to get out and about. I sing with an A Cappella group every Tuesday evening and like to spend time board gaming with friends

Update: as my housemate is slightly allergic it’s unlikely that i can host dogs in my living room for long but my patio garden and bedroom are more than fine. If you prefer for me to stay at yours this is an option too. Matching your dog’s playful/cuddle nature, I can keep them entertained! If hosting I would take your dog for a stroll round Roath park. If you can provide their usual food that’s great but I’m happy to source and prepare if hosting for multiple days. I have a comfy living room with pets allowed on the sofa (no crate) and a walled patio garden too. I’d make sure to set up a comfy zone for them to relax with company and any of their favourite blankets you can provide would be great!

Information Emily M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know your dog’s exercise needs, food requirements, usual routine and whether they are comfortable with children and animals. (I do not live with children or animals but would be good to know if your dog can be approached on walks). I’m eager to set up a meet and greet wherever it suits, preferably after midday. My energy is limited at the moment so I may not be able to take your dog for multiple long walks but I can certainly throw a ball for a long time!
A typical day
I love to walk around Roath Park and spend time in my patio garden where we could play with their favourite toys off lead. I like a lot of chill time so we’d kick back on the sofa after walking, for belly rubs and cuddles of course! I play guitar and watch movies most days.

I love volunteering at the Dogs Trust and taking care of my friends’ rescue breeds. I am a friend to every dog breed and temperament. The Dogs Trust has given me a good understanding of dog behaviour and safe handling. I would be keen for a quick meet and greet to understand your dog’s needs and personality. I have a calm nature and take great care of animals. Not afraid to get muddy and wash clean!

Emily was a brilliant dog sitter. I think she's a bit of a dog whisperer! Emily was so gentle with Bodhi and she instantly bonded with Emily. It was a hot day but she kept Bodhi cool with a flannel. Great communication all day and filled in the Rover pet card for me. Would definitely ask Emily again to sit for Bodhi, and recommend her to others.

Just picked up Barney from Emily and he is so chilled. He clearly had a wonderful time. Emily has been great. Right from the first contact she put Barney (and me) at ease with her calm manner. She sent some lovely pics during the weekend and her handover when we picked Barney up showed how attentive and caring she has been. We would definitely recommend her.
