I’m Helen — a lifelong dog lover offering flexible, reliable, and caring dog walking and sitting services. I share a wonderful part-time dog with a family member due to their personal circumstances, and he has been part of our home for over five years. Having him around has reminded me just how much joy, companionship and personality dogs bring to everyday life — and I would love to offer that same love and attention to your furry friend too! Over the years I have owned big dogs, small dogs and everything in between, and have looked after many friends’ and family members’ dogs — from lively puppies to gentle seniors — so I understand how important it is to provide the right balance of exercise, comfort, and affection for each individual dog. I’m confident and comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Whether your pup is playful and sociable or prefers their own quiet space, I’ll tailor my approach to whatever makes them happiest and most at ease. We had to go somewhere without Toby at short notice and both our regular sitters were booked up. So I turned to Rover and found Helen. How lucky were we that she was free. It had been quite a while since I’d had to go through the process of meeting a new sitter and while Toby is very chilled about where he goes and with whom, I always get anxious about leaving him somewhere new. However when I drove up to Helen’s beautiful and calm home my mind was put at rest. Helen is lovely and obviously adores dogs. She had thought of everything needed in the very hot weather, there was a fan, a paddling pool and walks only when it was safe. Her husband and other family members are also delightful and dog focused. She sent us lots of photos of Toby having a great time with another dog who was also staying. I was relaxed the whole time I was away. I recommend Helen 100% and will definitely ask to leave Toby there again.
Bunty had the best time with Helen who went over and above to make sure she was safe and happy. We would highly recommend Helen.
I highly recommend Helen and her partner. They will always be the first choice if they are available. Reggie loves them both and gets so excited whenever he sees them. They send lots of updates and photos during his stays. They clearly gave him a lot of walks and attention, as he came home completely shattered and ready for a good sleep.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into our daily lives. I work full-time with two days a week from home, and my partner works from home full-time — so there is always someone around to give your dog plenty of care and attention. As we already have our own little part time furry lodger, long walks, playtime and lots of cuddles are already a big part of our daily routine. With our flexible schedule and weekend availability, we will make sure your pet feels safe, content and part of the family while away from their home.

All pets in my care are treated like family. In my home, dogs have a safe, comfortable space to relax, sleep, and play. We have a grassed garden for outdoor fun, and we’re just a 10-minute walk from two local parks — perfect for daily walks and adventures. Your dog will always have company — between me and my partner, someone is home full-time during the week, plus we are available on weekends. I follow each dog’s routine closely, including meals, walks, and any special care or medications, and I’m happy to send updates and photos so you can see how they are doing. Whether your dog is playful, curious, or a little more relaxed, I adapt my care to their personality to ensure they feel safe, loved, and right at home.

A typical day
When your dog is in my care we will start the day with a 30 minute walk to the local park, followed by their breakfast. They will be with me all day and will enjoy plenty of playtime and cuddles throughout the day, with regular toilet breaks and plenty of time to rest and relax in between. We will have another walk at teatime so more time for play and then dinner and a lovely calm time with cuddles usually on the sofa before bedtime. We can also accommodate the same bedtime routine you adopt at home which we can discuss at time of booking.
