About: I've worked with dogs for many years, I am a qualified dog groomer and am qualified in canine first aid, so rest assured I have you covered. I have 2 dogs of my own a chonzer and a saluki cross, both well mannered. I have a 1.5 year old son and a partner who works full time, there is plenty of love in this household. We have a house with a back garden, so dogs are allowed to roam, water is always available and so is food unless otherwise stated. Walks will be given once every evening. I'm a mum of a child who's nearly 2, other than cleaning my own house i dont have a lot going on, it would be nice to be able to take care of pets and have a small income. Pets will always have access to water and food unless otherwise stated by the owner. They will be walked for 30min - 1 hour every evening spent with me, our garden contains high fences which are 6ft tall meaning the safety of your pet escaping is at a minimum. I am a dog groomer but that will not effect the time spent with your pet because I wont book grooms if your pet is booked inn with me

“Sarah was absolutely incredible, honestly all that I could have asked for and more. She looked after my two cats for the weekend while I was away at a family ashes spreading service. Not only was she happy to care for the cats, but she also took on the task of misting my pet mantises and stick insects. She sent photos of the cats, and she fed and played with them, cuddled with them, and changed their litter. Even my elderly cat who is nervous and generally hides from everyone, came running over to see Sarah when she first visited, and began rubbing up against her legs; clearly the lady has a way with animals! She was also kind enough to bring parcels in for me when they were left on the doorstep, even one which was really heavy. All of this would be enough for me to confidently recommended her to others, but the biggest reason I think anyone would be lucky to have her looking after their pets, is that she has just such a comforting presence, and she went above and beyond to put me at ease about leaving my home and my animal family members. I was really worried about being away from them, and this was the first time I’ve ever used a service like this. I suspect I’m not the only pet parent who is nervous about leaving their pets, and having someone who is so reassuring and capable really makes it less scary. She followed all of my instructions to the letter and was also very kind about the fact that I’d left a short novel of printed instructions. Overall, she was just a really kind and capable pet sitter, and I will absolutely rush to use her again if I once again have to go away. She’d even tied a pretty yellow ribbon on my keys when she put them back through the door after her last check in. Truly, I cannot recommend her highly enough, she is clearly just the most wonderful person!”

About: I have had all sorts of animals throughout my adult life from rabbits and guinea pigs to cats and dogs. My previous dogs were border collies which I trained myself and with my first girl we had great fun at agility classes. My last girl was 15 when we had to say goodbye. My canine companion now is Monty, a 21 month old Border Terrier. I love building a relationship with dogs, working out what makes them tick and giving them their best life. I would be happy to walk your dog alone or accompanied by Monty. Of course the choice would be yours. I am happy to answer any questions you may have to ensure your confidence in my ability to care for your pet. I am available weekdays and weekends as my care work is flexible, so I have plenty of time to devote to the care of your pet. The more notice you give me, the more likely I am to be able to accomodate your needs. I am happy to take on regular or one off care. From feeding routines and walking to the attention they need, looking after dogs is a natural part of our daily life. We also have two family dogs that pop round at times who are rescues so understand the extra love that’s needed. We would want to give your dog a home away from home, and treat them as our own. Please note - it will be shared dog care between myself and my partner - Kate. Myself and Kate have opposite schedules meaning your dog would be generally in company all day. If left, it would be discussed and wouldn’t be more than three hours a day. We have a fenced, secure garden with plenty of room for play. As we got Dora from a pup, we are able to use training leads etc if needed. We are happy to allow your dog free run of our house as our Dora has. We will always prioritise your dogs safety.

I’ve often been relied on to call in to feed, play with and walk dogs while owners are away, as well as providing full day and overnight care. I’m comfortable with different breeds and personalities, including golden retrievers, spaniels, bernedoodles and schnauzers. I live right by Bute Park and go there daily for walks, so I love getting dogs out for exercise, fresh air and stimulation. I’m caring, reliable and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making them feel safe, happy and well looked after. I work flexibly and from home on some weekdays, so I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. I’d typically take dogs out for one longer walk and another shorter walk later in the day, with lots of play, company and toilet breaks in between. I may occasionally have an online meeting during the day, but usually no longer than an hour, so dogs are never left alone for long periods. I have a secure fenced garden and a large open-plan downstairs space where dogs can relax and roam comfortably. I’m happy for dogs to be on the sofa and make themselves at home. I already have dog toys, blankets, water bowls and treats from regularly looking after friends’ dogs, so I’m well set up to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.
