When Dylan came home he was super relaxed, calm, and clearly very comfortable in Zack’s care. It genuinely felt like he’d had a proper home‑away‑from‑home experience. Dylan has quite a few quirks and can be a very strong dog who gets nervous in new situations, but Zack handled everything with real experience and confidence. He understood Dylan’s personality straight away and gave him the patience, structure, and calm environment he needs. It’s not easy to find someone who can manage a dog like Dylan so well, and I’m incredibly grateful. We can’t wait to book with Zack again — highly recommended.”

She looked after our pug, Doug, during temperatures of over 30°C, which is always a huge worry with pugs, but she was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She went above and beyond to keep him cool, comfortable, safe and happy, and it was clear from the updates that he was being cared for like one of her own. Catherine sent regular photos, messages and updates throughout his stay, which gave us complete peace of mind and meant we never had to worry. She clearly understood Doug’s needs and handled the heat better than we could have asked for. She even had a doggy pool for him to cool down in, which just shows how much thought and care she puts into looking after the dogs in her care. We have used other dog sitters before, but Catherine is on another level. The care, attention, kindness and effort she put in was outstanding. I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 7 years old, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I moved from Hungary to the UK in October 2025, and after our dog left in December, the house has felt very empty without a pet around. Although I became an engineer, I always loved spending time with animals, and back home friends often trusted me to look after their cats while they were away. I’m calm, reliable, patient, and currently have plenty of free time for walks, visits, playtime, and giving your pets lots of attention and care. I work from home full-time, so I’m available for pet care all day long. I can easily adjust to your dog’s schedule for walks, playtime, meals, and cuddles. I’m also happy to do overnight boarding or weekend stays whenever needed. I have a fully fenced yard and a safe, pet-friendly home where your dog would spend most of the time inside with me. The house is calm and secure, and I can crate your dog if needed. Playtime is always supervised in the fenced garden.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and routine. Since welcoming my rescue dog, Bonnie, into my life in 2022, I’ve gained valuable experience with reactive and anxious dogs, as well as strong lead pullers. I’ve also been looking after dogs for friends and family since my early teenage years, and since starting on Rover in September 2025, I’ve cared for a variety of dogs with different personalities and needs. This has made me confident with a wide range of temperaments, from energetic and playful, to nervous or cautious dogs who need a calmer approach. I work full-time but mostly from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility to fit pet care into my routine. I’m usually in the office just one day a week (typically a Wednesday), so I’m available anytime the remaining weekdays with the flexibility of my working hours at home. Weekends are also fairly flexible for me, and I’ll always keep my schedule up to date if anything changes. Whatever the ask, I’ll make sure your pet’s needs fit smoothly into my day so they get reliable care and attention. Please note, drop-in visits and dog walks within 5 miles of my home (Sandford, BS25) are included in my standard rates. For locations beyond 5 miles, a 50p per mile travel fee applies to the additional distance to cover my fuel which I will manually add to your booking request. For overnight house sitting requests, I currently can only accommodate 1 night sitting at a time I’m afraid. When caring for pets, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In a pet parent’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routines closely, from feeding times to walks and play, so pets feel secure and settled. I keep doors and gates safely closed, pay attention to any special needs like reactivity, and always respect the home as if it were my own. I also believe trust is built through communication, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. In my own home, I have my rescue dog Bonnie, who is friendly and playful once introduced properly but can show an excitable-anxious reactivity on first meetings with other dogs. Rest assured, Bonnie has never shown any aggression or biting behaviour towards another animals. Because of this, any dogs staying with us would need an introduction beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. Once settled, Bonnie loves to play and share her space. However, I’m not able to offer care for cats in my own home, as Bonnie isn’t suited to living with them. My goal is always to create a safe, calm, and happy environment where pets feel at ease, whether I’m visiting them in their own home or welcoming them into mine.

About: Hello! My name is Olivia, and I’m a 24-year-old final year postgraduate vet student. I grew up just outside Arbroath, a small fishing village in the north of Scotland, surrounded by animals - from dogs and chickens to two farm kittens we rescued from a barn. I have lots of experience caring for a wide range of animals, both at home and abroad. This includes volunteering at a rescue centre in Costa Rica and on a game reserve in South Africa. Closer to home, I’ve regularly looked after pets for family and friends. (Full disclosure: I now stick to care rather than grooming after a childhood attempt at trimming my uncle’s spaniel’s ears left her with a very lopsided haircut!) Alongside my studies, I also work as a lifeguard, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm in emergencies and prioritise safety at all times. When visiting my family, I care for our very needy Vizsla, Scout, and our more independent and aloof rescue cat, Lunar. About: My first pet was a cat when i was 7 and it lived 21 years. I have always loved pets and now have a 4 year old Tibetan Terrier who is great around other dogs. A hamster and often look after neighbours dogs as well. I work from home and there is always someone in to keep your pet company. I walk my dog every lunchtime down the strawberry line or in the fields so they are well exercised. I have a fairly large house with a walled garden and wooden floors downstairs. I also have a friendly 4yr Tibetan terrier for company. There are dog beds and a sofa with blankets on.

I have been involved in both the cattery and dog shelter of the Galway SPCA. I also worked closely with small mammals, and rescued my colleagues from a loose ferret once! I had several regular dog visit/ walk clients - new puppies to the more mature. I am happy to do on and off-lead walking, where appropriate and safe. I will follow instructions on whatever training you are working on with your pet. I am confident administering medication. Unfortunately, I cannot accept very strong or difficult to handle dogs due to chronic back pain. I would be keen to build a trusting relationship with any pet I care for and strive for respectful and honest communication with pet owners. About: Hellooo I’m Phoebe, I’m a qualified veterinary surgeon and starting a new role which means I’ll have some days off during the week and weekend. I grew up at a child minders who also had a pet sitting service, so from a young age have looked after anything from hamsters and tortoises to large-breed dogs. I have my own dog and tortoise who I adore! As a vet, I’m comfortable with giving medications at home and following your pet’s routine as closely as possible! I have an attention to detail and am more than happy to give you regular updates and photos. I’ve been working as a vet now for 2 years and starting a new role this summer! I have my own tortoise and dog who I adore. In my new role at work my shifts are constantly changing, which means available dates are not regular. But we can have a chat about what you and your pet need and work out a plan from there! On weekdays I can possibly do drop ins before and after work for cats, so just drop me a message to check dates that aren’t available on my calendar. I believe all pets are different in terms of what they need when their pet parents are away or busy. Sometimes this is a change of environment and other times it’s home stays. Unfortunately since I am in rented accommodation I cannot provide overnight stays, but I can walk dogs and do drop ins for a variety of pets. I can also house sit during the day. Due to my own pet responsibilities, overnight house sitting is not ideal.
About: My first pet was a cat when i was 7 and it lived 21 years. I have always loved pets and now have a 4 year old Tibetan Terrier who is great around other dogs. A hamster and often look after neighbours dogs as well. I work from home and there is always someone in to keep your pet company. I walk my dog every lunchtime down the strawberry line or in the fields so they are well exercised. I have a fairly large house with a walled garden and wooden floors downstairs. I grew up just outside Arbroath, a small fishing village in the north of Scotland, surrounded by animals - from dogs and chickens to two farm kittens we rescued from a barn. About: Training to be a Vet which means I have looked after animals of all kinds. I have had two dogs of my own, and looked after many of my friend's and family's dogs. Currently free most days. I do split my time in two places in the country so I won't always be local. Will be willing to look after dogs overnight once I have got to know them from walking. We have an enclosed garden, but it is not technically fenced in. If the owner deems appropriate for me to let the dog in the garden lead or no lead I will stay with the dog. I also believe trust is built through communication, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. In my own home, I have my rescue dog Bonnie, who is friendly and playful once introduced properly but can show an excitable-anxious reactivity on first meetings with other dogs. Rest assured, Bonnie has never shown any aggression or biting behaviour towards another animals. Because of this, any dogs staying with us would need an introduction beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. Once settled, Bonnie loves to play and share her space. However, I’m not able to offer care for cats in my own home, as Bonnie isn’t suited to living with them. My goal is always to create a safe, calm, and happy environment where pets feel at ease, whether I’m visiting them in their own home or welcoming them into mine.
