*Please note I’m not currently accepting recurring bookings or bookings 2+ months ahead, due to likelihood of career changes in summer!* I’m a life-long dog lover who has grown up with both a docile lab and a high-energy, prey-driven Weimaraner. I can care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as I am very used to anxious & defensive behaviours, as well as lots of zoomies. I also understand quite a bit about the health and training behaviours of many dog breeds as I took on this responsibility with our Weimaraner when she was a puppy. I took her on pack walks with other dogs & frequently looked after my friends Italian Spinones for play dates. I will always treat dogs (and all animals) with a great deal of respect and kindness. I love to cuddle them and make sure they feel wanted. I am very active on my phone so can respond quickly to any requests or questions.

Maverick absolutely loved Amy and Barney. It was my first time leaving him so I was a little anxious but Amy was so friendly and lovely, she sent updates daily with photos which reassured me. I would highly recommend Amy - Thank you so much for looking after him whilst I was away :)

Amy came into our home for the first time on our wedding day to look after our 5 dogs for the day. It was very chaotic in my house that day! But Amy was very calm and took to my dogs straightaway. Amy followed clear instructions for each dog and they were very well looked after and cared for, she also gave them lots of cuddles 😊 my dogs are not used to many people due to being at home with myself all day, everyday but they loved Amy ❤️ I got updated throughout the day with pictures and messages which was very reassuring. Thank you so much Amy for allowing us to enjoy our wedding day xxx

Schedule
I’m currently working on a freelance basis until spring. I have lots of time to take on pet care, my own dog and others included. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate home stays or daily check-ins and walks, around the east Suffolk area. I can drive, and therefore have a large catchment and the ability to take dogs on wonderful countryside walks wherever you’re based.

Safety, trust & environment
I will adjust and cater to the preference of the owner; I personally like to have pups up on sofa’s with me, but know how to keep them off too. I will always provide a welcoming and comforting approach once I’ve entered their space or brought them into a new one, and make sure I’m sticking to as close to what they’re used to as possible. Happy to find exciting new places for them to walk, and will always double check the duration appropriate for exercise.
A typical day
As much play as possible, to wear them out for down time with belly rubs / sofa cuddles (if they’re allowed.) I love seeing what tricks dogs can show me, what toys they like to play with & where they enjoy exploring on walks.

- I will want to cater the caring experience to the owner and dog’s preferences to the best of my ability. If the dog has any anxious attachment, nervous aggression, incontinence issues or diet preferences I will want to know and make sure the dog is as safe and comfortable as possible.
