About: I have always been around dogs since I was a boy, I used to be terrified of them but have grown in a deep lover of dogs. I am reliable and caring setting of hands that can be entrusted to take care of your pets. My gran over the years brought home an eceletic collection of dogs from the homeless shelter she worked in. The different dogs that came back with her have been a variety of ages, breeds, sizes and personalities. I've always been helped to look after them whether it's feeding, walking or just some belly scratches. “I cannot speak highly enough of the dog sitting service provided by qualified Veterinary Nurse, Daisy. When planning a 10 day family holiday to Rhodes for early September ’26, we initially consider local boarding kennels for our fabulous 10-year old English Springer Spaniel, Ripley, but on this occasion also researched the option to home Ripley with a dog sitting service via Rover.com. We are so very happy to have chosen this latter option. Having sent an initially enquiry to Daisy about her availability for our holiday dates, my wife and I took Ripley to meet up with Daisy and her two lovely, very well behaved dogs, Rupert and Quinn, for a short local walk locally in the Forest of Dean. Daisy was great, her dogs lovely and friendly towards Ripley, and Ripley was immediately totally at ease to go for a run and also to splash around in a nearby by stream with Rupert and Quinn. Spaniel heaven! This meeting gave us complete reassurance that housing Ripley with Daisy instead of a boarding kennel was the right thing to do. The day before our travel, I dropped Ripley off at Daisy’s house with its secure, fully enclosed garden and was shown where Ripley would be sleeping and spending time when inside the house. While we were away, Daisy kept us regularly updated with how Ripley was settling in. We could see from the comments and photos sent that he was having a great time, totally chilled out and having some great daily walks with Daisy, Rupert, and Quinn. Within a couple of days, Daisy spotted something online (that we hadn’t) in relation to the brand of dog food Ripley eats, where the manufacture was taking the precaution of re-calling some of their meal options due to a possible connection with the condition ‘Dry Eye’. Daisy was very quick to raise this to us and kindly agreed to feed Ripley with the foods she gives to her own dogs. A veterinary check-up yesterday (16 Sept) confirmed that Ripley does indeed have dry eye and has been prescribed appropriate eye drops for this condition. Thank you, Daisy for your vigilance. My wife and I have already discussed that, if and when we venture abroad again in future, we will undoubtedly be calling on Daisy to look after Ripley. Thank you so very much, Daisy. “‘Kelly and their lovely brown cocker Nala greeted Joni warmly for her weekend stay, looked after her well, took her on long walks and river swims, but also respected her home routines. Joni seemed very happy and healthy after 4 days at the farm, playing with Nala in the wide open fields adjacent to the property, and although she was pleased to see me and come home she looked sad to leave Nala & her family. An excellent weekend doggy home and we will hopefully take Joni to stay with Kelly, Dan, Nala at their lovely open country home again!’”

About: Hi, my name is Alix. I am 24 years old and live in a ground floor flat in matson, Gloucester. I have 2 children, 3&5 years old. I also have 4 cats who have been the first encounter for many dogs which I am happy to do with the owner here if your dog hasn’t been around cats before. I also understand that sometimes dogs and cats aren’t the best of friends so I’m happy to keep them separate if needed. I unfortunately don’t currently drive so you would need to bring your pooch to me. Caring for dogs is a passion for me. I took a break from dog boarding for a while but now on the hunt to make more doggy friends and help out owners! I have been dog boarding for 3 years now and cared for dogs of all ages. My children are used to dogs & my partner has 2 Staffordshire bull terriers at his mum’s who my children see regularly. I also have a jack russel and a jug at my mum’s who I absolutely adore and grew up with. I have my own fenced garden and will definitely take your pooch on walks at our local field! About: I have always had contact with dogs, cats and hamsters ...as a child and as a dog owner for 12 years, previously my family over the years owned Yorkies, Poodles,West Highland Terriers, Germany shepherds. Charlie My Cavashon passed away at the age of 12 years, unexpectedly, his doggy companion Tea Cup Yorkie Daisy misses him desperately, she is 14 years. Charlie was a well behaved dog well traveled too and would go everywhere with me and my partner as does Daisy. Charlie was raised from a puppy and attended training classes, he was devoted to me as I was to him. If a cafe, restaurant,garden centre isn't dog friendly we wouldn't visit. I currently work part time and do some volunteering at the dog trust. I have the time to walk your dog, and if they are good travellers in the car I would take your dog on some lovely walks. My home is their home I have a large fenced safe garden lots of grass, there is a furbaby female teacup yorkie who is 14 years. she would love some company. I don't have a crate.

One of my own Springer Spaniels experienced seizures and gastrointestinal problems, so I’m familiar with monitoring a dog’s wellbeing, following specific care routines and giving regular medication as directed. About: I have had dogs all of my life, all different shapes, sizes and personalities. I have had my current love (dog) for eight years, he is a Spanish rescue dog, a small jack Russell terrier, that I adore and he goes every where with me. Your dog will have good company as he is used to mixing with all dogs and is very calm. My dog has medication twice a day and veterinary food, so im happy to have dogs that need this also. I go on lovely long walks in the country every day as my flat is on the cotswolds way. Although it is classed as a flat it has its own entrance and lovely private garden. I am not currently working and so have plenty of flexible time. Caring for dogs has got be the most rewarding experience out there! Your dog will be safe and happy in my home. I walk my own dog first thing in the morning and then again around lunch time and after dinner. I have a pet friendly property with a lovely fenced garden. I am a keen walker and when not snuggled up with my dog I'm usually out walking across open fields with him. My garden has a gravel floor so its ideal for toilet breaks in-between walks if tour dog needs this additionally.

About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs, helping care for and walk three medium-sized dogs at home from a young age. When I moved away for university, I missed having a dog around, so I connected with a local owner to walk their Bernese Mountain Dog cross Collie. Knowing beforehand just means I can keep everyone safer and avoid putting them into situations they might struggle with. I’m careful with doors, windows, gates and other possible escape routes, particularly with cats and dogs who are known for making a run for freedom the second a door opens. I’ll also follow whatever rules you already have around things like crates, separate rooms, feeding pets apart or keeping certain animals away from each other. When I’m staying or dropping in at your home, I understand that you’re trusting me with your home as well as your animals. I’ll treat your space respectfully, keep things secure when I leave and follow any instructions you give me about keys, alarms, gates or areas of the house. If something doesn’t seem right with your pet, I won’t ignore it. I’ll contact you and keep you informed, and before longer bookings I’m happy to have emergency details such as your usual vet and an alternative contact so there’s a clear plan if something unexpected happens. About: I have always been around dogs since I was a boy, I used to be terrified of them but have grown in a deep lover of dogs. I am reliable and caring setting of hands that can be entrusted to take care of your pets. My gran over the years brought home an eceletic collection of dogs from the homeless shelter she worked in. The different dogs that came back with her have been a variety of ages, breeds, sizes and personalities. I've always been helped to look after them whether it's feeding, walking or just some belly scratches. Currently, I live with my parents and their long-term foster dog Lucky, a roundabout 3 year old, super super friendly Golden Retriever. Then 19 years ago I became a dog owner myself. I work from home so I began to look after friends, family and neighbours dogs. I absolutely love dogs, I treat every dog like they’re my own, even if I’ve just met them for five minutes… I am giving kisses. (only if they want them of course) I have a senior dog myself and I looked after a senior dog for a few years so I have experience in older dog care, also having raised three puppies myself so I have knowledge in puppy care. I can promise lots of love, safety, trust and of course kisses. After I walk my dogs at 6.30am… My days are for furry friends either on dog walks, pop ins and house sitting. I have a couple of regular friends but still plenty of space for new friends ☺️ I’m currently not offering boarding due to my sweet girl (elderly lady) dealing with dementia, I need her environment to be calm. House Sitting… I was a babysitter for 10 years for 5 different families, I did some over night stays during that time. I also cleaned at a couple of private houses for 2 years whilst I was studying and I have experience of being a house-sitter.. therefore I am very aware of respectful behaviour when in someone else’s house. I will not share your location or any information regarding your home with anyone. I will keep things clean and tidy up after myself. I don’t smoke or drink. I always take my shoes off. ☺️

About: I had a rescue labrador for 10 years and am now keen to help look after other doggos. I have worked in animal rescue centres and been trained on doggie first aid. I'm very calm and gentle with animals, and will be a responsible care giver for your beloved canine. I work from home half-days on Fridays with flexible hours, and am generally free on weekends. About: I have always been around dogs since I was a boy, I used to be terrified of them but have grown in a deep lover of dogs. I am reliable and caring setting of hands that can be entrusted to take care of your pets. My gran over the years brought home an eceletic collection of dogs from the homeless shelter she worked in. The different dogs that came back with her have been a variety of ages, breeds, sizes and personalities. I've always been helped to look after them whether it's feeding, walking or just some belly scratches. Currently, I live with my parents and their long-term foster dog Lucky, a roundabout 3 year old, super super friendly Golden Retriever. “I cannot speak highly enough of the dog sitting service provided by qualified Veterinary Nurse, Daisy. When planning a 10 day family holiday to Rhodes for early September ’26, we initially consider local boarding kennels for our fabulous 10-year old English Springer Spaniel, Ripley, but on this occasion also researched the option to home Ripley with a dog sitting service via Rover.com. We are so very happy to have chosen this latter option. Having sent an initially enquiry to Daisy about her availability for our holiday dates, my wife and I took Ripley to meet up with Daisy and her two lovely, very well behaved dogs, Rupert and Quinn, for a short local walk locally in the Forest of Dean. Daisy was great, her dogs lovely and friendly towards Ripley, and Ripley was immediately totally at ease to go for a run and also to splash around in a nearby by stream with Rupert and Quinn. Spaniel heaven! This meeting gave us complete reassurance that housing Ripley with Daisy instead of a boarding kennel was the right thing to do. The day before our travel, I dropped Ripley off at Daisy’s house with its secure, fully enclosed garden and was shown where Ripley would be sleeping and spending time when inside the house. While we were away, Daisy kept us regularly updated with how Ripley was settling in. We could see from the comments and photos sent that he was having a great time, totally chilled out and having some great daily walks with Daisy, Rupert, and Quinn. Within a couple of days, Daisy spotted something online (that we hadn’t) in relation to the brand of dog food Ripley eats, where the manufacture was taking the precaution of re-calling some of their meal options due to a possible connection with the condition ‘Dry Eye’. Daisy was very quick to raise this to us and kindly agreed to feed Ripley with the foods she gives to her own dogs. A veterinary check-up yesterday (16 Sept) confirmed that Ripley does indeed have dry eye and has been prescribed appropriate eye drops for this condition. Thank you, Daisy for your vigilance. My wife and I have already discussed that, if and when we venture abroad again in future, we will undoubtedly be calling on Daisy to look after Ripley. Thank you so very much, Daisy. About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Nala and Betty aren’t here as often these days, but I still really value the time I get with them. Whether it’s a steady walk through the woods or a quiet weekend catch-up, it’s always good to have that familiar energy around. Spending time with them is a reminder of why I do what I do at Best of Paws — reliable dog care, where dogs are treated like family. I work from home with a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m around a lot of the time. My girlfriend is a nanny, so she’s usually home by the afternoon. Between the two of us, there’s always someone here to hang out with the dogs and keep things chill. It works out great, especially since we can both give them attention whenever they need it. About: I’m based in the Forest of Dean and love making the most of the beautiful local woodland and countryside for walks. I’m also fortunate to have dog-friendly fields directly opposite my home, which are ideal for exercise, play and enrichment. I genuinely love dogs and would care for yours with the same patience, kindness and attention I would give my own. I’ve grown up around dogs and have always had a natural affinity with them. I have hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes and temperaments, including Cocker Spaniels, Springer Spaniels, Labradors, Bullmastiffs and Cane Corsos. I’m therefore very comfortable and confident around large and giant breeds as well as smaller dogs. I’ve also had both male and female working Springer Spaniels, so I’m very familiar with energetic, intelligent dogs who need plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation and attention. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I’m happy to follow their usual routine, whether that involves long woodland walks, playtime in the fields, feeding, enrichment, reinforcing their usual training or simply plenty of company and affection. I also have experience caring for dogs with ongoing health needs. One of my own Springer Spaniels experienced seizures and gastrointestinal problems, so I’m familiar with monitoring a dog’s wellbeing, following specific care routines and giving regular medication as directed. I understand how important consistency, observation and good communication with owners are when looking after a dog with additional needs. Above all, dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I want owners to feel completely comfortable knowing their dog is being cared for by someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with them and will get to know their individual routine, personality and preferences. I currently work part-time, and I live with my retired mum, so there is usually someone at home all day to keep your dog company. I also occasionally care for my sister’s Bullmastiff cross while she works, so having another dog as part of our daily routine is very familiar to us. Living in the Forest of Dean means we’re surrounded by fantastic places to walk. There are dog-friendly fields directly opposite my home, as well as plenty of woodland trails and lakes and ponds nearby for dogs who enjoy a swim. I’m happy to adapt exercise to your dog’s usual routine, whether they prefer gentle walks, longer adventures or plenty of play and enrichment. I’ve previously trained my own working dogs, so if your dog is already familiar with dummies, retrieving or whistle commands, I’d be very happy to continue this with them too. I have a fully enclosed garden with direct access from our family kitchen-diner, where I spend most of my time when I’m at home. Dogs are welcome throughout the downstairs of the house and can settle wherever they feel most comfortable. I occasionally care for my sister’s Bullmastiff cross, who is an exceptionally gentle and sociable dog and is very accustomed to being around other dogs. Despite confident with her temperament, I would always make sure introductions are appropriate if they were to meet. I want dogs staying with me to feel as comfortable and settled as possible, so I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, walking, sleeping, medication and training routines. I’m also experienced with energetic and working breeds and understand the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation.
