Lisa has been amazing with my Oatly! She made him feel right at home and took such good care of him. It’s always difficult to find someone that can accommodate to his separation anxiety, and she was amazing and always with him. On top of that she has so much patience and understanding when it comes to rescue dogs that can be anxious. Lisa definitely knows what she’s doing when it comes to dogs and you can tell she just loves them all so much. Oatly will be so happy to come back!

George and his mum took great care of shadow again. He is a 14.5 year old black lab who craves company in his old age and wants to be around people constantly. George and his mum totally saw this and shadow had a great holiday with them whilst we were away. We will always send shadow to stay with them as a first choice. Thanks again

‘Kelly and their lovely brown cocker Nala greeted Joni warmly for her weekend stay, looked after her well, took her on long walks and river swims, but also respected her home routines. Joni seemed very happy and healthy after 4 days at the farm, playing with Nala in the wide open fields adjacent to the property, and although she was pleased to see me and come home she looked sad to leave Nala & her family. An excellent weekend doggy home and we will hopefully take Joni to stay with Kelly, Dan, Nala at their lovely open country home again!’

This was Stan’s first time staying with someone other than friends and family and Holly put me at ease from the start, even on the return when our flight was delayed Holly was accommodating in a very late pick up. Fabulous dog sitter and we would highly recommend Hollys care. Thank you Holly! Xx

About: I have looked after various dogs when their owners have gone on holiday. I have a lot of experience dog sitting and want to do more of this in my spare time. I am unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays with voluntary work but other than that I have a lot of spare time to dedicate to looking after dogs. I have a large flat and no garden however we have a large country park directly outside with a 5 minute walk to the country side.

Willow had a lovely time with Beth and Dan and their red fox lab Darcy. Willow is a very bouncy 5 month old working cocker spaniel and I was concerned she would be too annoying. However, it seems that Darcy and Willow had a lovely time playing and the photos and videos they sent showed willow looking quite calm at times which is rare! Beth and Dan have had lots of experience with many breeds of dogs and put my mind at ease when we visited for a meet and greet. I would happily have Willow stay with them again as I know she’d have a great time.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Nala and Betty aren’t here as often these days, but I still really value the time I get with them. Whether it’s a steady walk through the woods or a quiet weekend catch-up, it’s always good to have that familiar energy around. Spending time with them is a reminder of why I do what I do at Best of Paws — reliable dog care, where dogs are treated like family. I work from home with a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m around a lot of the time. My girlfriend is a nanny, so she’s usually home by the afternoon. Between the two of us, there’s always someone here to hang out with the dogs and keep things chill. It works out great, especially since we can both give them attention whenever they need it. When I care for pets, whether it’s in their home or mine, it really depends on the dog’s personality and needs. Some dogs might need a bit more quiet time, while others are all about play and adventure. Either way, my focus is always on making sure they’re happy and comfortable. I give them the attention they need—whether it’s playtime, walks, or just cuddles. It’s all about making sure they’re having fun and feeling cared for, no matter where they are.

Ella was fantastic boarding our 6 month old pup for 5 days. He was very energetic but Ella had the patience of a saint and looked after him so well. They went on long walks where he could run around parks and had plenty of toys and training sessions. Ella also sent lots of picture and video updates for that extra peace of mind. And best of all our pup didn't even notice we'd been gone ? would highly recommend Ella!

I honestly don’t think my review will do Georgina and her family justice, from the time I sent my booking request to Georgina she has been great. She got back to me to arrange a meet and greet almost immediately. From the minute my fluff Hamish walked in the door at the meet and greet I could tell it would be the perfect place for him to stay. Georgina and her family immediately started playing with him, their little girl was amazing with him and he loved her. Georgina asked for information about Hamish to get to know him, his likes, dislikes, routines etc. I dropped Hamish off early in the morning and I could see he was happy to see them all again. Georgina sent me updates and pictures throughout his stay and it was clear he was having the best time and was being completely spoiled. I would highly recommend Georgina if you are looking for someone to take care of your doggo, in fact I’ve already booked Hamish in for another stay with Georgina.

Tom was excellent in looking after our lovely cat Poppy. He was incredibly flexible and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure Poppy was cared for well. As Tom also did day visits a number of times, it was important for us to feel comfortable with Tom in our home. He was the perfect sitter, clean, tidy and helpful with the odd request we had to do with the house too!!! Poppy warmed up to Tom quickly and we were really happy with how everything worked out! Will definitely be using Tom again!!!

About: After begging my whole life, I finally was allowed to get my own dog back in 2021. I got Ivy (my dog) as a puppy and completed all her training by myself. I think I’d read just about every dog training and behaviour book on the market so I could give Ivy the best environment possible. While I got very lucky with Ivy’s temperament, I have been a sitter for reactive dogs before. One dog in particular whom I have walked on occasion (but mostly did home visits) was very reactive and anti-social. I did meetings with the owner present to ensure the dog was comfortable with me before completing home visits alone. While on walks, it was imperative to keep this dog away from all other dogs, especially off-leash ones. I picked routes that ensured encountering minimal other people, and when we did come across other dog walkers I simply moved a fair distance off the path and held Frankie’s (the dog) attention using treats and positive reinforcement. By ensuring she kept her focus on me until the people had passed, it kept her reactivity to a minimum. Her reactivity was triggered by fear and anxiety, so avoidance of such situations meant that she was comfortable and therefore a pleasure to walk. I have experience sitting/walking dogs of all ages (including puppies and seniors) and feel comfortable with all breeds/sizes. I’m currently a university student, and with summer coming up I will have plenty of free time! I recognise the importance of reliability within pet-care and can promise to communicate my availability in advance. I have a fenced garden and space for a crate if necessary (however you would have to provide this equipment). Apart from larger equipment (like a crate/car cage, etc.) I can provide most things myself, such as food and water bowls, toys, treats, leash, etc. However these are mostly there as a ‘just in case’ option, as it is always better to use equipment your pet is already familiar with to avoid any discomfort or stress.

About: I have always had contact with dogs, cats and hamsters ...as a child and as a dog owner for 12 years, previously my family over the years owned Yorkies, Poodles,West Highland Terriers, Germany shepherds. Charlie My Cavashon passed away at the age of 12 years, unexpectedly, his doggy companion Tea Cup Yorkie Daisy misses him desperately, she is 14 years. Charlie was a well behaved dog well traveled too and would go everywhere with me and my partner as does Daisy. Charlie was raised from a puppy and attended training classes, he was devoted to me as I was to him. If a cafe, restaurant, garden centre isn't dog friendly we wouldn't visit. I currently work part time and do some volunteering at the dog trust. I have the time to walk your dog, and if they are good travellers in the car I would take your dog on some lovely walks. My home is their home I have a large fenced safe garden lots of grass, there is a furbaby female teacup yorkie who is 14 years. she would love some company. I don't have a crate.

Louise is a great dog sitter. She sent photos and an update of Toffee, showing that he was settled in at her home and relaxed. This is great to know. I would thoroughly recommend Louise and will be booking Toffee in with her again soon. Thanks Kevin

Joyce and family took fantastic care of Gina, she took to them instantly on the meet and greet which was very reassuring before her stay started. Joyce gave lots of daily updates and made sure Gina was so well looked after with lots of walks, garden time, cuddles and care given to make her feel as settled and comfortable as possible. Would highly recommended and book again for future trips. Thanks a million.

About: Hi, my name is Alix. I am 24 years old and live in a ground floor flat in matson, Gloucester. I have 2 children, 3&5 years old. I also have 4 cats who have been the first encounter for many dogs which I am happy to do with the owner here if your dog hasn’t been around cats before. I also understand that sometimes dogs and cats aren’t the best of friends so I’m happy to keep them separate if needed. I unfortunately don’t currently drive so you would need to bring your pooch to me. Caring for dogs is a passion for me. I took a break from dog boarding for a while but now on the hunt to make more doggy friends and help out owners! I have been dog boarding for 3 years now and cared for dogs of all ages. My children are used to dogs & my partner has 2 Staffordshire bull terriers at his mum’s who my children see regularly. I also have a jack russel and a jug at my mum’s who I absolutely adore and grew up with. I have my own fenced garden and will definitely take your pooch on walks at our local field! Please get in touch if you’re interested. :).. I’m currently unemployed so always at home. Monday & friday I do school pick up and drop off, however if your dog isn’t very good with being alone I can bring them along or I can find someone else to take my daughter to school on the odd occasion if need be of the 2 days I usually do and I will stay home to ensure your dog isn’t left alone. As long as i have notice i can ensure we’re home all day if need be for your dogs anxiety I am in a ground floor flat, I have my own fenced garden and a field nearby which dogs absolutely love to go and have a run around. I keep dogs on lead for safety. Dogs will be welcome to come on the furniture and sleep in the bed unless the owner requests otherwise.

About: Hi, I’m Sonya—a lifelong dog lover offering a genuine home-from-home experience in the beautiful Forest of Dean. My home has direct access to the forest from the garden gate, along with plenty of secure outdoor space, giving dogs the opportunity to explore, sniff, play, and relax in a safe, natural environment. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I’m confident handling both small breeds and larger, more energetic dogs. Every dog is treated as an individual, and I always adapt their care to suit their routine, personality, and needs. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, favourite walking routes, or quiet time, I’ll do my best to keep their stay as familiar and stress-free as possible. Dogs staying with me become part of the family rather than staying in a kennel environment. They receive plenty of companionship, enrichment, exercise, and opportunities to rest, all in a calm, structured home where their wellbeing always comes first. From September, I’ll be studying for a degree in Animal Behaviour & Training, building on my passion for understanding canine behaviour, welfare, and positive training methods. I’m committed to continually developing my knowledge so I can provide the very best care for every dog I look after. I know how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone else, so I’ll keep you updated with regular photos, videos, and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’m fortunate to be at home full-time, which means dogs in my care receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I live in a peaceful rural location with secure outdoor space where dogs can safely explore, play, and relax. Every day is built around the dogs’ needs, including walks, enrichment, feeding, rest, play, and one-to-one attention. I’m also happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, helping them feel settled, comfortable, and at home while you’re away. Your dog’s safety, wellbeing, and happiness are always my highest priorities. Dogs stay in a calm, structured home alongside my own friendly, well-socialised dogs, where they receive plenty of companionship while still having space to relax if they need it. I supervise all interactions carefully and separate dogs whenever appropriate, such as during mealtimes, rest periods, or if a dog simply needs some quiet time. Owners are very welcome to bring their dog’s own bed, crate, blankets, or favourite toys to help them settle into a familiar routine. My home is surrounded by secure rural land, giving dogs plenty of opportunities for safe outdoor exercise, enrichment, sniffing, and exploration. Every dog is treated as an individual, and I’ll always follow any instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, training, or preferences to ensure they receive the highest standard of care.

About: I have hands on experience caring for a range of pets. I currently have two pups, an energetic, young (and very greedy) chocolate lab called pickle and my polite senior shih tzu called chops, who I have cared for since they were puppies. My family and friends always rely on me to look after their pets as I always jump at the offer! I treat my animals as if they were part of the family, with love and compassion. I also have experience looking after cats, bunnies and chickens ❤️ I am currently studying my masters in landscape architecture at the university of glos - but this is something I mostly do from home so I have lots of free time to look after pets too. You will be staying with my two fur babies: pickle and chops, who are very friendly and great with other dogs - both quite submissive in nature and will give you space if you need it. I have a large secure fenced garden next to the beautiful forest where we go for daily long walks. Chops is a senior boy so a walk around our land is even enough for him most of the time. I live with my parents who work 9-5 but are also dog lovers and can help me out on weekends/days off. I enjoy walking with the dogs but equally enjoy a chilled out snuggle on the sofa!

Georgia and Dillon both work from home during the week. We are both always home every evening and most weekends we are both home, although Dillon does occassionally work on the weekends. We have a lovely large garden for your furry friends to roam around in, which is all fully enclosed. We live close to many nature reserves as we are on the edge of the Forest of Dean and will often take our dog for a walk there and will happily do so with yours as well! There is also a fully enclosed field nearby with stunning views that Poppy loves to run in! Our dog is good with cats and we will happily look after your cats as well! And any other animals you may need care for, our Poppy dog is especially good with puppys and surpisingly baby rabbits! Although she does like to try and swim with fisheys!

About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs, helping care for and walk three medium-sized dogs at home from a young age. When I moved away for university, I missed having a dog around, so I connected with a local owner to walk their Bernese Mountain Dog cross Collie. I walked him regularly for over a year and absolutely loved building that bond. I bring that same care, patience, and attentiveness to every dog I walk and am looking forward to meeting dogs of all breeds and sizes. 😊 I am currently working on a zero-hour contract basis and looking to start working more freelance, so I am available pretty much 24/7 During drop-in visits, I strictly follow all feeding, routine, and house guidelines provided. I treat every home with complete respect, ensuring doors, windows, and gates are securely locked upon entry and exit, and keeping you updated with pictures and brief recaps after every visit so you have full peace of mind.

I’m a friendly approachable person and will ask you questions if I need answers. I’m currently in summer holiday mode not returning to work until the 1st of September. Therefore my plans are flexible around you and your pet. I have a car big enough for 3 dogs and I’m not worried about mud. I often have 3 dogs on my hands, including my sister’s and parents. About: I previously had a husky for ten years who had no recall and was reactive, so I’m used to walking dogs on leads and hiding behind trees if needed! 🙈since I lost my husky last year I’ve looked after friends and family dogs at weekends which have ranged from spaniels to labs to Hungarian vizla. I love having a dog in the house and like to make sure they feel at home and give them lots of attention and walks. I currently work full time in the week so can only offer weekend stays. When I’m home at the weekend there’s nothing more I enjoy then going on dog walks. About: I have been taking care of other peoples pets since I was 15, when I started to walk a neighbours dog, soon other neighbours asked for help with dogs, cats, rabbits and also puppy pop ins and dog sitting. Then 19 years ago I became a dog owner myself. I work from home so I began to look after friends, family and neighbours dogs. I absolutely love dogs, I treat every dog like they’re my own, even if I’ve just met them for five minutes… I am giving kisses. (only if they want them of course) I have a senior dog myself and I looked after a senior dog for a few years so I have experience in older dog care, also having raised three puppies myself so I have knowledge in puppy care. I can promise lots of love, safety, trust and of course kisses. After I walk my dogs at 6.30am… My days are for furry friends either on dog walks, pop ins and house sitting. I have a couple of regular friends but still plenty of space for new friends ☺️ I’m currently not offering boarding due to my sweet girl (elderly lady) dealing with dementia, I need her environment to be calm. House Sitting… I was a babysitter for 10 years for 5 different families, I did some over night stays during that time. I also cleaned at a couple of private houses for 2 years whilst I was studying and I have experience of being a house-sitter.. therefore I am very aware of respectful behaviour when in someone else’s house. I will not share your location or any information regarding your home with anyone. I will keep things clean and tidy up after myself. I don’t smoke or drink. I always take my shoes off. ☺️

About: I have always been around dogs since I was a boy, I used to be terrified of them but have grown in a deep lover of dogs. I am reliable and caring setting of hands that can be entrusted to take care of your pets. My gran over the years brought home an eceletic collection of dogs from the homeless shelter she worked in. The different dogs that came back with her have been a variety of ages, breeds, sizes and personalities. I've always been helped to look after them whether it's feeding, walking or just some belly scratches. Currently, I live with my parents and their long-term foster dog Lucky, a roundabout 3 year old, super super friendly Golden Retriever. I also helped my parents raise two rather excitable (and challenging) Beagles so if you're pet friend is a bundle of energy then I have the experience (and patience) to take care of them ✌️ Excited by the opportunity to meet more furry friends. I work from home in Drybrook, Gloucestershire on Wednesdays and work in Malvern the rest of the week. I am happy to stay over to dogsit all evenings and weekends. I can keep your dogs over weekends. I have a safe and securely fenced garden that is open and easy for your dog to access all day. They are happy to play with Lucky, a 3 year old super friendly Golden Retriever, who enjoys the company of other dogs. I am surrounded by woodland and a nearby park which are great for short or longs walks.

George and his mum took great care of shadow again. He is a 14.5 year old black lab who craves company in his old age and wants to be around people constantly. George and his mum totally saw this and shadow had a great holiday with them whilst we were away. We will always send shadow to stay with them as a first choice. Thanks again

Thank you Holly for taking care of Stan and for the photo updates whilst we were away.

About: I had a rescue labrador for 10 years and am now keen to help look after other doggos. I have worked in animal rescue centres and been trained on doggie first aid. I'm very calm and gentle with animals, and will be a responsible care giver for your beloved canine. I work from home half-days on Fridays with flexible hours, and am generally free on weekends. I'm very flexible around timing and happy to work around your pet's needs. We have a fenced-in garden and live on a quiet street just off the canal path and near several great fields and walks. Can provide dog beds and are flexible on whether dogs are allowed on furniture.

I knew she was the perfect sitter for our pup! We had regular updates on how our dog was getting on during his stay which again , made leaving him feel that much easier! We would have given Joyce 6 stars if we could :-) From our first contact through Rover.com Joyce has been very helpful, even providing coaching on how best to use the site. Our boys are 6 years old and this was the first time they have stayed with away form home. Joyce was brilliant with the boys and us. Joyce's communications before and during the visit we excellent and the boys were very well looked after by Joyce and her lovely family in their beautiful home. I cannot rate Joyce highly enough and would fully recommend Joyce to anyone seeking a caring environment for their cherished pets.

Nataya took great care of our 7yr old Frenchie, making sure she was given her medication as instructed and following her hypoallergenic diet. She gave plenty of updates with photos and Mabel looked very happy with all of her cuddles on the couch and lovely walks. She can't wait for next time!
