About: I have looked after various dogs when their owners have gone on holiday. I have a lot of experience dog sitting and want to do more of this in my spare time. I am unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays with voluntary work but other than that I have a lot of spare time to dedicate to looking after dogs. I have a large flat and no garden however we have a large country park directly outside with a 5 minute walk to the country side.
“Willow had a lovely time with Beth and Dan and their red fox lab Darcy. Willow is a very bouncy 5 month old working cocker spaniel and I was concerned she would be too annoying. However, it seems that Darcy and Willow had a lovely time playing and the photos and videos they sent showed willow looking quite calm at times which is rare! Beth and Dan have had lots of experience with many breeds of dogs and put my mind at ease when we visited for a meet and greet. I would happily have Willow stay with them again as I know she’d have a great time.”

Whether it’s a steady walk through the woods or a quiet weekend catch-up, it’s always good to have that familiar energy around. I work from home with a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m around a lot of the time. My girlfriend is a nanny, so she’s usually home by the afternoon. “Ella was fantastic boarding our 6 month old pup for 5 days. He was very energetic but Ella had the patience of a saint and looked after him so well. They went on long walks where he could run around parks and had plenty of toys and training sessions. Ella also sent lots of picture and video updates for that extra peace of mind. “I honestly don’t think my review will do Georgina and her family justice, from the time I sent my booking request to Georgina she has been great. She got back to me to arrange a meet and greet almost immediately. From the minute my fluff Hamish walked in the door at the meet and greet I could tell it would be the perfect place for him to stay. Georgina and her family immediately started playing with him, their little girl was amazing with him and he loved her. Georgina asked for information about Hamish to get to know him, his likes, dislikes, routines etc. I dropped Hamish off early in the morning and I could see he was happy to see them all again. Georgina sent me updates and pictures throughout his stay and it was clear he was having the best time and was being completely spoiled. I would highly recommend Georgina if you are looking for someone to take care of your doggo, in fact I’ve already booked Hamish in for another stay with Georgina.”

About: I've had two cats in the past Mitzi 20 and Pandora 18. They were my sanctuary for many years, loved and well fed beyond measure. I miss them dearly. I cared for them immensely and they were the best company. We occasionally house sit for my mother who has a grey British cat called mimi.

About: After begging my whole life, I finally was allowed to get my own dog back in 2021. I got Ivy (my dog) as a puppy and completed all her training by myself. I think I’d read just about every dog training and behaviour book on the market so I could give Ivy the best environment possible. While I got very lucky with Ivy’s temperament, I have been a sitter for reactive dogs before. One dog in particular whom I have walked on occasion (but mostly did home visits) was very reactive and anti-social. I did meetings with the owner present to ensure the dog was comfortable with me before completing home visits alone. While on walks, it was imperative to keep this dog away from all other dogs, especially off-leash ones. I picked routes that ensured encountering minimal other people, and when we did come across other dog walkers I simply moved a fair distance off the path and held Frankie’s (the dog) attention using treats and positive reinforcement. By ensuring she kept her focus on me until the people had passed, it kept her reactivity to a minimum. Her reactivity was triggered by fear and anxiety, so avoidance of such situations meant that she was comfortable and therefore a pleasure to walk. I have experience sitting/walking dogs of all ages (including puppies and seniors) and feel comfortable with all breeds/sizes. I’m currently a university student, and with summer coming up I will have plenty of free time! I recognise the importance of reliability within pet-care and can promise to communicate my availability in advance. I have a fenced garden and space for a crate if necessary (however you would have to provide this equipment). Apart from larger equipment (like a crate/car cage, etc.) I can provide most things myself, such as food and water bowls, toys, treats, leash, etc. However these are mostly there as a ‘just in case’ option, as it is always better to use equipment your pet is already familiar with to avoid any discomfort or stress.

About: I have always had contact with dogs, cats and hamsters ...as a child and as a dog owner for 12 years, previously my family over the years owned Yorkies, Poodles,West Highland Terriers, Germany shepherds. Charlie My Cavashon passed away at the age of 12 years, unexpectedly, his doggy companion Tea Cup Yorkie Daisy misses him desperately, she is 14 years. Charlie was a well behaved dog well traveled too and would go everywhere with me and my partner as does Daisy. Charlie was raised from a puppy and attended training classes, he was devoted to me as I was to him. If a cafe, restaurant,garden centre isn't dog friendly we wouldn't visit. About: Hi, my name is Alix. I am 24 years old and live in a ground floor flat in matson, Gloucester. I have 2 children, 3&5 years old. I also have 4 cats who have been the first encounter for many dogs which I am happy to do with the owner here if your dog hasn’t been around cats before. I also understand that sometimes dogs and cats aren’t the best of friends so I’m happy to keep them separate if needed. I unfortunately don’t currently drive so you would need to bring your pooch to me. Caring for dogs is a passion for me. I took a break from dog boarding for a while but now on the hunt to make more doggy friends and help out owners! I have been dog boarding for 3 years now and cared for dogs of all ages. My children are used to dogs & my partner has 2 Staffordshire bull terriers at his mum’s who my children see regularly. I also have a jack russel and a jug at my mum’s who I absolutely adore and grew up with. I have my own fenced garden and will definitely take your pooch on walks at our local field! About: I have hands on experience caring for a range of pets. I currently have two pups, an energetic, young (and very greedy) chocolate lab called pickle and my polite senior shih tzu called chops, who I have cared for since they were puppies. I have a large secure fenced garden next to the beautiful forest where we go for daily long walks. Chops is a senior boy so a walk around our land is even enough for him most of the time. I live with my parents who work 9-5 but are also dog lovers and can help me out on weekends/days off. I enjoy walking with the dogs but equally enjoy a chilled out snuggle on the sofa!
About: We've both grown up with all manner of dogs, cats and other indoor and outdoor animals! Dillon has a wealth of knowledge from family members who have done animal welfare courses. Georgia and Dillon both work from home during the week. We are both always home every evening and most weekends we are both home, although Dillon does occassionally work on the weekends. We have a lovely large garden for your furry friends to roam around in, which is all fully enclosed. We live close to many nature reserves as we are on the edge of the Forest of Dean and will often take our dog for a walk there and will happily do so with yours as well! There is also a fully enclosed field nearby with stunning views that Poppy loves to run in! Our dog is good with cats and we will happily look after your cats as well! And any other animals you may need care for, our Poppy dog is especially good with puppys and surpisingly baby rabbits! Although she does like to try and swim with fisheys!

About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs, helping care for and walk three medium-sized dogs at home from a young age. When I moved away for university, I missed having a dog around, so I connected with a local owner to walk their Bernese Mountain Dog cross Collie. I walked him regularly for over a year and absolutely loved building that bond. About: I have been around animals since I was born. Having family pets from rabbits to dogs and cats. I currently have a 6 year old sassy cocker spaniel. My close family and friends also have dogs and trust me with walking them/dog sitting and checking in on them. It’s almost my second job that I don’t get paid for 😂 so why not get paid for it. About: I previously had a husky for ten years who had no recall and was reactive, so I’m used to walking dogs on leads and hiding behind trees if needed! 🙈since I lost my husky last year I’ve looked after friends and family dogs at weekends which have ranged from spaniels to labs to Hungarian vizla. About: I have been taking care of other peoples pets since I was 15, when I started to walk a neighbours dog, soon other neighbours asked for help with dogs, cats, rabbits and also puppy pop ins and dog sitting. About: After begging my whole life, I finally was allowed to get my own dog back in 2021. I got Ivy (my dog) as a puppy and completed all her training by myself. I think I’d read just about every dog training and behaviour book on the market so I could give Ivy the best environment possible. While I got very lucky with Ivy’s temperament, I have been a sitter for reactive dogs before. One dog in particular whom I have walked on occasion (but mostly did home visits) was very reactive and anti-social. I did meetings with the owner present to ensure the dog was comfortable with me before completing home visits alone. While on walks, it was imperative to keep this dog away from all other dogs, especially off-leash ones. I picked routes that ensured encountering minimal other people, and when we did come across other dog walkers I simply moved a fair distance off the path and held Frankie’s (the dog) attention using treats and positive reinforcement. By ensuring she kept her focus on me until the people had passed, it kept her reactivity to a minimum. Her reactivity was triggered by fear and anxiety, so avoidance of such situations meant that she was comfortable and therefore a pleasure to walk. I have experience sitting/walking dogs of all ages (including puppies and seniors) and feel comfortable with all breeds/sizes. I’m currently a university student, and with summer coming up I will have plenty of free time! I recognise the importance of reliability within pet-care and can promise to communicate my availability in advance. I have a fenced garden and space for a crate if necessary (however you would have to provide this equipment). Apart from larger equipment (like a crate/car cage, etc.) I can provide most things myself, such as food and water bowls, toys, treats, leash, etc. However these are mostly there as a ‘just in case’ option, as it is always better to use equipment your pet is already familiar with to avoid any discomfort or stress.

My only requirement is that clients are honest about thier dogs behaviour or any issues so I can take all proper precautions. As well as rover cover i also have my own public liability insurance. I absolutely love animals and will give them my all to make sure they are happy and healthy 😊 This is my full time job so I can be in the house with your pet for most of the day. About: I have looked after various dogs when their owners have gone on holiday. I have a lot of experience dog sitting and want to do more of this in my spare time. I am unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays with voluntary work but other than that I have a lot of spare time to dedicate to looking after dogs.
